Fajnie było zobaczyć Supermana jak rozmawia z Dickiem i to jak w niego wierzy.
Miło też było otrzymać fragment z Barbarą na który trochę czekałam, ale nadal no jestem ciekawa jak rozwija się ich historia 😁
No i jeszcze Bataman mimo, że na chwilę to mega fajnie

A very rare rainy day in Los Angeles, so no exercise for fat-boy today. So pajamas, coffee (no exercise, no muffin!) and reading good Nightwing comics this morning. Thug life.

“Leaping Into the Light Part 6” starts with Blockbuster and the police at Melinda’s door telling them to come out with their hands up.

Inside Melinda tells Nightwing that she’s actually a good guy, taking down crime families from the inside, rather than the crooked politician Nightwing has seen.

”You have difficulty believing someone could have a double life?”

Nightwing ties them up, knowing the police are here for him. Blockbuster busts in while he goes to the roof. Oracle calls.

”You are in now shape to be fighting Blockbuster. ”

Nightwing taunts him instead. Blockbuster has the police helicopter start firing.

That was a truly cool getaway! The art is really good on this one.

Nightwing crashes with Barbara and Robin.

”You heard? I have a sister. And even better…. There’s a chance she’s not evil.”

After sleeping for two days, Dick talks to Leslie, the Titans and Lucius Fox. And Superman. They talk. Superman says Dick’s idea is great. And can you be a friend to my son when I’m away.

Good conversation.

Dick holds a press conference. He thanks Barbara. Dick announces the Alfred Pennyworth Foundation. A philanthropic organization dedicated to Bludhaven.

That was really good. Great character moments. Great action. Good altruism though a cynic like me wonders what villain is going to take it over. Do you believe the iPhone can’t spell-check “villain”?

Redondo’s cover for this issue is great, first of all. This is the issue where Dick Grayson — not Nightwing — becomes the hero of Blüdhaven. While I like where Taylor is going with this — that there’s nothing heroic about being a billionaire — the social critique does feel a bit aimless. It doesn’t seem like there’s a targeted critique that Taylor wants to make. It’s cool that there’s a comic somewhat talking about wealth redistribution but it would he nice to have more substance and specificity.

the part with superman makes me tear up every time I see it. The respect that even superman pays to Alfred suprised me. "I'm just afraid it is too small" "Its not small, its focused." The opening of the Pennyworth Foundation is exactly what seperated Nightwing from other superheroes for me. "Dick, I've always believed in leading by example, and the example you're setting here will inspire others. And if you're succesful, the rest of the country, the rest of the world, could see what's possible." RIP Alfred, know that your legacy lives on in the heroes you raised, and in the people they raised

I have been working my way through this amazing run. Taylor and Redondo have placed some strong footing underneath our favorite superhero acrobat! Babs and Dick have never been better together. There has always been a grunginess that Bludhaven has over Gotham City and we get to see that here. Bludhaven's police force is something else. Highly recommended! Like comic book comfort food!!

Read this in the actual comic book format which is much better than reading the kindle version in my opinion AND my grandson was nearby to explain what I didn't have the background to understand. Definitely made for an improved experience.

Cool issue to end the volume on, great final monologue and cool to see all the other heroes and no much they care about dick.
