Making a Family Together . . .
Werewolf Alpha Ghost had always cared for Omega Tony. But Ghost felt unworthy to be a mate or a father to a child. He isolated himself and could see ghosts. That’s no kind of life to offer a mate. And Tony had already told him Ghost was too young, Tony 8 years older with a sunny and happy personality. Tony told him he was dating someone, and that bothered Ghost.
The ghost of his brother pointed him to a path that led to the scent of blood. The rain was washing most of it away, but he tried to track the scent to the river to find someone. There was nothing to find, so he went back to his cabin, soaking wet. As he approached, he heard a baby’s wail and saw a wet, pink blanket on his porch. He had no idea what to do with a baby, but when he heard his phone ringing, he knew Tony would. Tony had raised three sons by himself and was definitely experienced with childcare. Tony came in and took the baby while Ghost shifted and tried to track the Omega he had spotted in the woods whom he assumed was the child’s parent. Sam’s ghost appeared on the porch, and Ghost knew he would protect Tony and the baby for him. When Ghost found the Omega, a rogue Alpha was ripping him apart. Ghost fought and defeated the Alpha, and the dying Omega whispered “Dawn… promise”.
Tony is the mate Ghost wants, but he deserves better than an Alpha like him. Tony also could easily love Ghost, but the age different bothers him. Ghost is a young Alpha, and Tony may not even be able to give him a sister or brother for Dawn. But staying in the small cabin with Ghost is nice. Can they convince each other that they might just be perfect for each other after all?
