Better Together: A Guide for Discipleship

Better Together is a discipleship resource intended to be used as a tool to help establish and guide a discipleship relationship between two individuals or in the context of a small group. It will guide you through the discipleship relationship and provide material for you to walk through together as you pursue spiritual maturity. Each person involved in the discipleship relationship should have their own copy of Better Together, and our leader’s companion includes optional supplemental material for the discipler. This resource includes sections on how to articulate a testimony, how to share the gospel, how to study the Bible, how to memorize scripture, and how to cultivate a life of prayer. The goal of discipleship is ultimately that Christians would utilize these types of relationships to flourish in the faith, to love God more, and in turn seek to glorify Him with their lives. If you would like to continue your discipleship relationship after you have walked through the material in this guide, consider using the Better Together Journal to guide your study of God’s Word and discussion.

This wasn't my favorite Bible study from The Daily Grace Co, but it was the first we did for our women's Bible study at work. There are some good points drawn, but ultimately I don't think it quite had the "format" that was ideal for a group study.

I used this while mentoring a girl over the last year. It’s a great resource for inviting a younger believer deeper, but I would not recommend it for meeting up with a not-yet-Christian. It was very practical and the majority of the questions provided had you looking at multiple Scriptures to find the answers. It covers the spiritual disciplines in an inviting, Gospel-centered way!

This is a good start for a discipleship resource. However, be aware that it is Calvinist in beliefs.

We must fill our thoughts with God’s truth and spend time daily reading his word and spending time with Him.

One of my favorite resources to definitely use over and over again. It dives into everything you would need to discuss as you are discipling others or reading through it yourself. I enjoyed scripture memorization and prayer section the most.
