Rate this book
Part 2 Of The Best Selling Mental Toughness For Young Athletes Book!

Moses and Troy Horne here again. Your mental toughness guides! If you are reading this you probably have a young athlete who struggles with in-game stress and maybe even sports performance anxiety. Hopefully, you already have the first book. That book (Mental Toughness For Young Athletes - Eight Proven 5-Minute Mindset Exercises For Kids And Teens Who Play Competitive Sports) is the foundation for what you are about to learn in this book. Like the first book, this book was written by Moses and me as well! We found that once we did all of the stuff in the first book we were met with new challenges. In this book we talk about how we got through the next level of challenges and how we leveled up.

I'm talking interest from 9 Division 1 schools and counting level up. Yup... This one is about GRIT! That one trait that makes your mental toughness work long term. That one trait that helps your young athlete stand out!

As of the time of the writing of this book Moses Horne is a 16-year-old elite athlete who is the starting PG for "The ROCK school" former high school of Joel Embid! We can talk directly about the triumphs and struggles of working towards being mentally tough. This is the only book (Besides our first book) that is written by a young athlete from an actual young athlete's perspective.

We know where you are and we know how to help you help your young athlete find their mental fortitude. Most of the books that we read were not a good fit for young athletes because they were either written for adults or not written for youth athletes in COMPETITIVE sports. There is a difference.Since there wasn't anything out there for elite young athletes we created it! 100+ reviews on our last book can't be wrong! We took the long journey of ups and downs. We struggled to help our young athlete find his mental toughness. IT WAS ROUGH! Luckily along the way, we found the winning formula thanks to being able to talk with sports icons personally. We launched a podcast together called Hoopchalk Basketball Podcast and on it, we interviewed sports MENTAL TOUGHNESS GIANTS, like...

Chauncey Billups, Tywanna Smith, Keiko Yoshimine, Earl Boykins, Jason Richardson, and Kobe Bryant!

We studied what they did and said based on our interviews and we came up with a mental toughness plan that worked!

However, we found that there was another level! (There are levels kid! - That will be funnier once you read the book!) We are going to share with you what we learned about taking your mental toughness to the next level. One step closer to MambaMentality!

Is your child super passionate about their sport?Do they seem like they are losing their love for the game because their teammates may not be as dedicated as they are?Do you want to help them keep their fire and go on to higher levels of mental toughness?Does your kid want that on the court and in the locker room fire that gets the attention of high-level coaches? If you answered yes to these questions then you are in the right place. This book is their second-degree blackbelt in mental toughness and GRIT! This book is part 2 of the answer that you have been looking for! I can say this with confidence because we have used everything that we are going to share with you.

It's so bad I want to give you a zero, but that's not possible, so I give you a one.

DNF, if I had finished it, I could have gotten something out of it, but I couldn't stand the writing and grammar issues. I got through maybe a chapter and a half and by that point, I was dragging myself through it.
Basically, just save yourself time and just read the last chapter, it sums everything up in 4 pages.

Really enjoyed this read. Being a youth Soccer coach, it is nice to find something that we can gift the children to build life habits. Everything spoke about in this book can be used for more than sports, but I feel like this could help teams come together as one and create more confidence in those that lack. Looking forward to implementing and gifting.
