Chiiiiiiiiile, when I tell y’all FWM was good and nasty! Te’ah and Lakariy were so freakin’ hot. I mean, their chemistry was off the charts from the moment they met. Te’ah accidentally finds out her boyfriend is cheating and she’s absolutely devastated. Now, she knew somethin' was up with Quinn because he started moving funny. But, she chose to ignore all of the red flags that were practically slappin' in her face. Enter Mr. BDE Lakariy Chavis who offers to take Te’ah’s mind off of her heartbreak. Lakariy is sexy personified. This man was a walkin' wet dream. While he’s taking Te’ah’s mind off of her issues, Lakariy is dealing with infidelity in his own marriage. Unbeknownst to each other, he and Te’ah are headed down a road to revenge on their significant others. Mercedes and Quinn were trash and they deserved what they got. Along this journey, these two fall in love but, are hesitant to act on it because they’re unsure of one another’s feelings considering how their relationship started. Well, the hesitation was more so on Te'ah's part but, when Lakariy threatens to walk away, she found some act right real quick. I was so happy when Te'ah finally stopped trippin' and let that man love her. That little reveal at the end had me over here like whaaaaaaaat! We never did find out what was going on with Kia’s boyfriend. Does that mean she’s getting her own book? If not, I’m officially campaigning for it. I’d love an update on these characters. Does Mercedes and Quinn stay together?!!! Does Quinn get fired?!!! Does Lakariy’s mama finally give Mercedes that azz whoopin’ for lyin’ on her boy?!!! I need to know what’s going on! FWM was so good! To say this book was hot discredits how hot it actually was. The storyline was well written and the sex scenes were mind blowing. Whew! Clutches my invisible pearls just thinking about them. This was my first book by Shantaé and it definitely will not be my last.

I read Te’ah and Lakairy’s story out of order but let me tell you!!! It was 🔥🔥🔥 These two were nasty and the title was fitting because scandalous it was! Both Te’ah and Lakairy were both on some get back after they both realized that their significant others were hunching each other behind their backs…. Whew chile!! This was a very enjoyable read! And definitely gets the part started before you read “Like I Want You”

This here was just messy, as hell! I just couldn't help but to wonder, if there was more to this revenge, as it was so easy for Te'ah to fall into Lakariy's arms. Their chemistry and the intimacy they had together was🔥 ! Them scenes were hot and heavy chile! Whew! When Lakariy was working overtime to get Te'ah's attention, I'm like yeah, there's something else there. That twist was so unexpected, and I would have never guessed the connection! Quinn and Mercedes got just what was coming to them, and Lakariy and Te'ah finally got the love they've always wanted. Good read! 👍👍👍

Messy and Nasty! This was one messy and nasty read ok. Kariy and Teah was playing a dangerous but sexy game and I was all in. I enjoyed the plot and the sex was so good and worked for the story. I didn’t like the way he carried on at the end but I get wanting to rub something in someone’s face on some Petty Murphy stuff. I’m just glad they got it together and things worked out. Really enjoyed my first read from this author can’t wait to read more.

Let's Go Another Round
This wasn't what I thought I'd get from Lakariy and Te'ah, seeing that they were such a loving, sweet couple in the other book I read with them in it, yet I guess we all start somewhere, right 🤨?
While I admire that Te'ah Jones was thoughtful of others, even when they wronged her, I'm glad she took the plunge to get revenge on her ex, Quinn, yet I wish it wouldn't have been with a married man. Mind you the said married man, Lakariy, was separated from his own cheating wife, I would've at least liked for him to have the divorce process in the works before he started up with Te'ah. I was a bit taken aback by the fact that they had such a rocky past, yet she very easily fell right back into things with him. I like that she tried to just keep things purely physical between them, but Lakariy was persistent and wasn't trying to hear anything about 'just' anything between them; he wanted it all.
While I like that Lakariy Chavis was a man about his business, I was a bit taken aback that he let things linger between his wife and him for so long once he knew she was cheating. He was willing to leave their home and separate himself from her, and start up a whole relationship with Te'ah, yet he was slow to get the divorce going. I understood that he didn't have any love left for his ex-wife, Mercedes, so I didn't see what the hold up was. One thing was clear though, he loved Te'ah and knew this second chance was one he wasn't going to mess up with her. I love the romantic gestures, yet the way he put it down in the bedroom was super spicy and hot😏.
This was a short read and it was nice to get the back story on these 2. Getting more on Kia and Kentrell's relationship was interesting too.
There were some hilarious moments that I HOLLERED on.
Good read.

So this author is new to me, I heard of her on a post on @IndieLove2021 's IG page. Couldn't resist the title😁, so I had to buy this book. And I'm so glad I did! Now I was introduced to these two in "Like I Want You" & was immediately in love from the moment Lakariy checked Te'ah about leaving the state & not telling him. So imagine how excited I was to find out they had their own book. I was too hooked from the moment Te'ah ran into Lakariy's arms in that lobby. & He took such great care of my girl. She deserved it after the bs that was Quinn. & Mercedes was really trash af. Not you married to the BOSS & messing with a worker bee who gf had to get him a job 🙄😂 I will say I was confused af at first because they kept saying they were highschool sweethearts, but the back story wasn't revealed immediately. I was here for them. Shantaé got me addicted & this only my second read from her.

Absolutely loved it!
This short, sweet, sexually charged book was all that and more. The scenes between Te’ah and Lakariy were full of energy. The storyline was well written and the flow was good. It kept my attention from beginning to end. Mercedes and Quinn both lost a lot dealing with each other, but Te’ah and Lakariy rekindled long lost feelings for each other.

I thoroughly enjoyed this sexy read! The chemistry between the leads was explosive on the nuclear scale. I would have loved to read a chapter with Quinn's POV because I wanted to understand why he did what he did. There were some unanswered questions. Yet the story was a sexy read!

Where can we find Lakariy?

It was definitely more to this than what I first believed. Quinn and Mercedes were just foolish to fumble the bags they had! Te’ah was so supportive and just the whole package. When I learned the history between her and Lak I was shocked at their present state of affairs. Good read!

They BOTH were acting SCANDALOUS!
But the scandals made this a good story. At first I was like wait do they know know one another? Outside of him being her exes boss. It wasn't until the conversation he had with his momma that made me go yeah...they have a past. Anyway loved the story and glad she came to her senses and went and got her man!

More than meets the eye!
On the surface this appears to be a steamy novella with very little substance! But once I dove into it I got second chance love, redemption, a few plot twists, and just a very good story overall! This author has been on my radar for awhile now, and I'm glad I finally took the plunge! Can't wait to read more from her!

Shantae didn’t disappoint at all with the sex scenes. It’s sad that that’s my first line right? 😂 Anyway, lessons were learned, revenge was thrilling, and thank God for second chances!! I can’t wait to see the heat she brings next cause I always enjoy the burn!
