Reign Bailey rules the stage as one of the main exotic dancers at Carousal Lounge Gentlemen's Club. After several life-altering experiences, he’ll never allow himself to need anyone again—especially an alpha.
When Sully, the head bouncer at the club, decides to make Reign his business, will the indifferent omega open his heart or will he reject what fate has in store?
In Sammi Cee’s brand new mpreg shifter world, you can expect super-sexy omegas dancing, bossy alphas growling, cute babies aplenty, and a found family who never lets go.
Sammi Cee was raised in a family of readers. Summer vacations consisted of a good book while sitting lakeside from as far back as she could remember. After growing up and having her own children, her appreciation of how the written word could transport you on an adventure, bring you to tears, or give you hope, took on a whole new meaning.
These days Sammi is watching her children develop into fine young ladies while doing the things she enjoys most: drinking coffee, eating chocolate, and writing her own stories.
For her first foray into shifters, I have to say Sammi blew it out of the park. I'm more of a fantasy than a contemporary lover. I tend to both read fantasy more often and, conversely, tend to judge it harder. Sammi managed to take her usual appealing characters, made them have a setting that's pretty out of her comfort zone, and somehow managed to build a world with little to no holes to fall off on. I often go on on how well Smmi does characters, so I will spare you all the ravings on that part. Reign and Sully are awesome, and that should suffice. The worldbuilding was really well done, though. Contemporary (her usual domain) usually doesn't need much effort in the "making this believable" corner, so the fact that she managed to make it well is pretty admirable. Plus the creative aspect of setting the story a generation or two since the fated reval of shifters to humans many shifter books either dread or deal with. Here, the reveal is history and we're dealing with the fallout, at least 40 or 50 years later give or take, on a generation who's never had to hide. Any missing info isn't because "we know but don't care" or "this used to apply to everyone but doesn't here because plot convenience" but because the characters themselves don't know or can't remember it ever happening before. Shifter history was conveniently erased after the reveal, it seems. And many previous customs were abandoned to fit in with humans better. Overall, five gold stars to Sammi for a really good start on the first foray at shifters!
I was being a bit judgy, thinkin there would be a buncha skankiness with this series centered around exotic dancers... I'm so glad I tried it out. IT WAS ADORABLE! There was no cheating. No sharing or OM drama. Just a cute lil story with the sweetest found family. I've read a ton of Mpreg. Not all of them have a good birthing scene/after birth feels. This one had me all teary eyed. I loved it… off to the next one.
This was a low angst sweet love story. I enjoyed it. Although, I found the abrupt change from ice princess to loving omega a little too fast for me. I prefer a slow burn. I did like Sully. He’s a great character.
An enjoyable, fast paced and adorable story with lovable characters. The dancing is wonderful, the found family vibes and home for omegas.
Such a sweet romance too, as Sully gets close to Reign and learns about his past. It's awful and reveals a lot of why Reign keeps himself hidden away, doesn't let anyone in because his scared will be a mistake. However with Sully as his mate, he starts to come out of his shell and I loved these two.
The ending is lovely and very fitting, I'm glad they found another role that works perfectly for Reign. Although there is a plot flowing through the series as building a safe place for omegas to live freely without fear. Its still very much a happy ending for these two as they work towards the future 💕
I must admit that I absolutely enjoyed reading this really fascinating Mpreg shifter romance & it is a fantastic start to the series. The storyline is somewhat different to the normal Mpreg romance as in this book the shifters live together with humans without fear of reprisal although the omegas are unfairly treated as second-class citizens. The plot is delightfully heartwarming and has outstanding world building. The characters are amazingly well-developed & it was pleasant to see how the chemistry flared between the two main characters (a rather snarky omega male snow leopard shifter, Reign) & (a very protective alpha male bear shifter, Sully). The secondary characters offer good support throughout the storyline. There is: a caring boss (Caesar), various kinds of shifters, exotic dancers, bouncers/bodyguards, caring housemothers, alphas, omegas, betas, humans, fated mates, friendship, mild twists, some intrigue, trust issues, memories, heartache, protectiveness, heat issues, some steamy scenes, love, contentment & a happy conclusion for this couple with an interesting end. I would recommend this Mpreg shifter romance to people who enjoy this genre & look forward to more from this author.
This was an easy insta-love read between a prima Donna erotic dancer and the head of security. I wish there was a little more build up in their relationship, but the story was cute and mainly fluffy with a fun cast of characters. I have a guess to what Caesar is, but only time will tell. I loved how caring Sully is and how much he wanted to prove to Reign that he was different than the other jerks in his life.
This is such a sweet story. I love Sully and Reign so much! They are absolutely perfect for each other. This an amazing start to this new series. I love the world building and the characters. I just couldn't stop reading once I started. I can't wait for more.
This was pretty good! I love the concept of omega dancers and I thought the world building was interesting and I’m looking forward to exploring more about it and getting some more answers about the side characters in upcoming books! I liked both sully and reign they were good together and I always love me some fated mates. However, one of my pet peeves in fated mate books is when one or both characters have a total personality transplant right after finding their mate. I wish that reign had kept more of his sassy aloofness and eased into opening up to everyone other than sully. I liked the physical chemistry but the heat scene could have been more intense and I was left a little wanting in their emotional connection. Overall this was a quick and easy low angst read in an interesting world that I’m looking forward to revisiting!
Sammi Cee is one of my favorite authors, hands down. Every book I read of hers, grabs me from page one and doesn’t let me go. This book was no different and ranks up there as one of my favorites of hers. This book has all the things I love: Fated mates, a snarky, sassy Omega, a big protective, growly bear, found family, fantastic side characters. All of it.
Reign is one of the premiere exotic dancers at The Carousel Lounge. He’s snarky and sassy and has a huge “Stay ten feet out of my bubble” attitude. He has no interest in getting to know, or be close to, anyone in his life. Not the other omega dancers, not the two, motherly women who run the boarding house the dancers stay at (he’ll take the cottage in the back, please, where he can be alone), and most definitely not Sully, the head of the club’s security. A big, growly bear of an Alpha, who smokes, growls and whose presence irritates Reign. These two snark at each other so brilliantly, you can feel the rush of electricity between them, come off the pages.
When Reign calls off for a night (something he never does), his found family (that he refuses to acknowledge) is worried. Sully most of all. He ends up at Reigns, and events unfold (I don’t like giving spoilers away, so… LOL), and these two realize they are fated mates. While Reign tries to wrap his pretty head around Sully being his mate, it throws him into a heat, and all kinds of sexy things happen. Whew, flame factor was super high. Big, muscles and a very flexible dancer. Flames, flames, flames.
I loved these two MC’s, their differences, and the events that lead them to being mates, and learning about each other. I especially loved that we learn the reasons for the icy exterior Reign projects, as well as see Sully’s marshmallow insides, and his fierce protectiveness for his mate. The secondary characters stole my heart, there are laugh out loud moments (especially Sully’s reactions to Reign’s moods), and I am happily waiting for the next book in this wonderful new series.
Tango is a really great start to this new shifter series from Sammi Cee. I love the characters and world that she has created and I'm looking forward to getting to know the other men at the Carousal Lounge better. Reign has kept himself apart from the other guys at the Lounge since he started as a form of self preservation. However, one night can change everything when he shares some of his history with Sully, head of security and alpha who is very interested in Reign. The two come together quickly and it feels really natural between them. There's a lot of chemistry and once their able to share Reign's true omega side, all bets are off. It's really sweet between the two and Sully totally fits as a big protective bear. He's so growly when Reign is on stage but can also appreciate the show that the young man puts on. Reign is very independent after what happened in his past, his story tugging on your heartstrings that parents could possibly be so cruel. This is a story all about found family and it's wonderful to experience, once Reign takes that chance and lets others in, those that have been caring about him from a distance for a while, especially Aurora and Birdie who are total mother hens of the omegas who stay at their boarding home. I loved this story and am looking forward to more from the series. I'm especially interested to learn more about the owner of the Carousal Lounge and what the guys find out about alphas and omegas. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
Sully: He is the perfect example of what an Alpha should be. Strong and protective but not domineering or condescending. Above all else a true Alpha will love and adore his Omega and do anything for them and that is exactly who Sully is. Even before he knew that Reign was his mate he was looking out for him and seeking him out. He knew there was so much more buried beneath the icy demeanor. Reign: I was fully prepared to dislike Reign for a good portion of this book. So often when you have a complex character with so many walls it is hard to like them until they start to open up. I love how Sammi Cee with Reign's POV was able to show who he truly is and why he has the "ice prince" reputation. That made me love Reign from almost the beginning. One of my favorite things about paranormal true mate stories is usually you don't have one or both of the characters fighting the relationship for most of the book. Now that can be a recipe for insta-love but the best paranormal authors strike a balance. Sammi Cee has the art of using the mate connection to break down walls without it seeming like that is the only reason they are together . The fact that Reign and Sully had a connection before discovering they were mates (although it was reluctant and a well kept secret even from themselves) made this a relationship I wanted all the more! I am so excited for more stories in this new series and to get to know some of the great side characters. Of course being able to check in on Sully and Reign isn't a bad thing either!!
Reign and Sullivan could not have been more in tuned to one another.
Sully is a bear shifter with a really good heart. Patient, kind, and fiercely protective. He is so fascinated by the omega but kept his distance... sort of. After Reign dances, he goes for a smoke. Yes, he also growls when others get too close or talks negatively about his omega.
Reign is a snow leopard shifter, who was burned by the people he trusted the most. Left with no choice, he became hardened and refused to trust. Birthdays didn't possess good memories for him and with good reason. He's deliberately mean to Sully, but deep down he knows there may be something there.
One day, Reign calls in from his shift. No on knows why. Sully goes to check on him and finds Reign in an emotional mess. Gradually, both men begin to open up to one another about their pasts. The first steps to what propelled them into discovering they are actually mates.
Thoroughly enjoyed this story and we have a mountain of new characters that will hopefully become the center of their own books. Get ready for lots of laughs and a fabulous older couple, Aurora and Birdie.
Tango was the author's first mpreg book and I was honored to read it. Hopefully, this series will not be her last!
**I received this ARC via Gay Romance Reviews for my honest feedback.**
What a great start to a new series! I signed up for a chance at an ARC just on the cover design alone, barely reading the blurb itself. ( And I really like Sammi Cee's other works). This story did not disappoint. In a universe where Omegas, male Omegas in particular, are treated as second class citizens or even worse, the Omega strippers of the Carousal Lounge are treated with dignity and respect. They're guarded while in the club; never suffering from an over zealous patron. And their privacy is protected in the boarding house their employer arranged for them. One run by the sweetest pair of momma types I've ever read about. After years of bickering, Reign and Sully stop dancing about and admit their attraction to each other. Their story is sweet. Reign has trust issues and Sully has the patience to have his mate accept him at his own speed. An unexpected heat moves things along. And they get their chance for an HEA. A fast read. And that's the only problem I have with a Sammi Cee book. You want them to go on and on. This series has all the ducks in a row to be spectacular. Book two will be out soon. Can't wait. I received the ARC in exchange for this review. Which I am happily giving.
I really enjoyed Sammi Cee's newest series "Carousal Lounge" with Tango! Reign was a fabulous dancer at a club where humans and shifters alike, went to see hot male dancers strutting their stuff all over the stage. Sully, a bear, is the head of security at the club and has watched Reign for so long, lusting, and desiring the standoffish dancer. Reign calls in sick at the club, which is unusual since he is a shifter too. Sully finds Reign drunk and vulnerable and smells Reign's true scent.. making him realize that they are mates, fated mates. There is a little trouble at the club, making Reign and Sully be throne together and for Reign's heat to come during a show. This a sweet HEA with lots of new friends that were there all along and for the series to be set for the next book. This is a light book, not heavy into mystery or too much angst, light BDSM... very light, heat between an Alpha and his Omega, with a little surprise in the mix. I hope you enjoy Tango as much as I did.
I received an ARC of Tango and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Omega Reign Bailey rules the stage as one of the main exotic dancers at Carousal Lounge Gentlemen's Club. His past and some life-changing events mean that he's determined not to let himself need anyone again let alone an Alpha. Alpha Sully works as the head bouncer at the club and decides to make Reign his business and Reign has to decide if he will let him in or reject what fate has in store for them.
I enjoyed this story with the tale of how Reign got to be there and working as an exotic dancer and how the relationship was between him and Sully until everything changed. I loved their relationship and the way that Sully was careful to not take advantage and ensure that Reign was able to make his own decisions. This was an emotional story at times which were easy to feel involved and invested in the story. Easy to read and understand. This MM story contains mature content and is set in the omegaverse including an Mpreg.
Enjoyable. Not too saccharine and baby heavy as most omegaverse stories. I liked Reign and his protective aloofness and Sully’s alpha protective instincts that make him solicitous instead of overbearing. Each MC has enough backstory and personality to invest in their relationship. The fact that they have known each other for years and are fated mates but don’t know it due to the concealer omegas wear to mask their scent and make them smell human is a nice touch.
Their antagonistic poking at each other to hide their attraction adds some dimension to their relationship that is usually bypassed in the “mine, mate, insta love” of these types of story. And while omegas are again a downtrodden underclass, I wasn’t overwhelmed by their suffering; I could feel bad for them without being subjected to abject misery and terror. A fun, sexy light read.
This was awesome. I loved that it was set in a world where shifters have been living openly amongst humans for some time. It allowed for some really interesting world building (especially with shifter culture etc). The idea behind Carousel was fantastic and I loved how fiercely the respect and dignity of omegas was treated (not by the world, but by his group). Reign and Sully were explosive together and when they got their HEA I was so happy. I don’t want to give away too much so I won’t so anymore but wow, those two were amazing. As usual, Sammi Cee’s secondary characters were on point. There’s always an amazing sense of found family in her books and this was no exception. Loved, loved, loved this and cannot wait for the next one.
This was a great start to a new shifter series. We get some background and world building but not too much that you lose focus on Reign and Sully. There are A/B/O’s living with humans but the omega’s are considered second class citizens and are treated poorly to the point they use a special concealer to hide their scent. Reign and Sully have a very snarky report despite both secretly liking the each other. Reign has built some walls to keep from getting close to anyone based on some past experiences but in comes Sully, breaking down his walls and being exactly what Reign needs. There’s a bunch of sweet, swoony moments along with some intense situations. All in all, it’s pretty low angst. I am very much looking forward to the rest of the stories from the guys at the Carousel Lounge.
I loved this book! The story of Reign and Sully is filled with past hurts, new love and new beginnings! Reign is an omega and working in a club where he and the other dancers are very well protected by Sully and the other bodyguards. When Reign finds himself faced with memories of his past, he runs, only to find himself in danger. It’s Sully to the rescue and an escort home will let Sully and Reign both know that they are more than just coworkers but fated mates. It will open up Reign’s eyes to the joys of chosen family as well when Sully lets him know just how much their coworkers care for Reign unlike his biological family.
I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.
I always love a shifter series because they are always just a bit different in some way. This shifter works is like nothing Ive read before.
Sully and Reign have worked together for years. Reign has always acted aloof when it came to the alpha. But when he finally shows some vulnerability around Sully he sees that he’s joy like any other alpha he’s met before. And maybe he’s different. And when they are able to scent each other for the first time Sully finally knows why he’s always had a pull towards the broody omega. It’s seems fate has other plans and so begins their path to their happy ending. This is a short and sweet alpha/omega mpreg shifter romance. And you won’t be able to put it down once you start! I was addicted and I can’t wait for ten next book!
I have recently fallen into omegaverse. I had avoided it for a long time especially mpreg but now I really have been enjoying all the different types of stories that come with this label. That said this book was ok it tried to be angsty from the jump forcing the “I’m a loner” vibe from Reign but it wasn’t subtle or even woven well it was just said over and over until it suddenly stopped being about that and Sully and Reign immediately realize they are fated mates it brings on Reigns heat and they fall inlove boom. It’s a fluffy story that has some dark undertones. Just kind of threw me a bit with the back and forth of it but the writing was good and the side characters were fun perhaps the next book will be even better.

This is a new to me author and I really enjoyed this story. I’m not usually a short story reader because I always feel like the story is rushed, but this one worked. I enjoyed the couple and their connection. The world was set up nicely and other characters were introduced nicely. This is an mpreg shifter book where the omegas aren’t treated well in this world, if that’s not your jam this isn’t the book for you. I on the other hand do enjoy a good damsel type story. The omega here was no damsel, but he was saved. I don’t know. I fight for rights irl, so it’s nice to read about be saved. The writing was good, the smexy was great, and I can’t wait to read about the other dancers.
Tango was fantastic!! Loved, loved, loved Reign and Sully!! Reign is a dancer/stripper and Sully is a bouncer/protector at Carousel Lounge. Reign hides his Omega side and for good reason, but he also hides himself from everyone else. Sully and Reign have a tumultuous relationship, they like to egg each on. The story is fast paced, full of sweet fluff and low to no angst. The support of the house mothers and all the dancers felt so real! I cannot wait for the other dancers to get their stories too!! The story was really well written, highly recommend!! I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My review is solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
Tango appealed to me when Sammi first mentioned the new series. I like this author’s writing style and all the tropes ticked my comfort read boxes. Found family, mates, shifters and Mpreg. Add exotic dancers and I was ready. It didn’t disappoint. The book is full of world building, character development and little hints of what’s to come. Sully is protective, kind and respectful. Reign is feisty, cautious and a sweetheart. I liked that it built up to their relationship rather than love bam baby. The other characters introduced were interesting and I look forward to finding more out about Mystic, Cloud and Caesar and their world. Reread pile for this series.
I really enjoyed this story. Reign and Sully like to bicker at work, but there's more there than either wants to admit to. I loved how Sully protects and cares for the people under his charge and that when given the chance, he gives Reign the space and support he needs. It was wonderful to see Reign purge some of the hurt from his past and start seeing the family he has around him. I really liked the characters at Carousal Lounge and can't wait to get to know more about them, especially the owner, Caesar. The world building was intriguing, and I can't wait to see what the author comes up with in the next book.
If you are Susi Hawke fan you are going to love Sammi's book. Great characters, low angst, sweet moments, and plenty of spicy ones. Sully's nature is to protect and he's so good at it. I cheered when he swooped in and saved Reign. Reign's first impression was of a prima donna but it doesn't take long to see his act is to keep others away. He's had too much trauma way too young and was betrayed again and again. His transformation is wonderful. Having all of his chosen family surround him turns him into a wonderful, caring, and happy man. The other characters are all worth noting. I can't wait to get each of their stories. Recommended
