NAZIS ARE NOT LOVE INTERESTS. IT IS GORRAM 2022. THIS SHOULD NOT NEED TO BE SAID. Seriously, what in the world made you think THIS was appropriate to write AND publish?!
Unbroken: The Ties of Blood Book 4 is by MaryAnna Rose. This series is quickly coming to a close and I am not ready for that to happen. Due to some technical problems with my computer, I had problems downloading this book so read Book 5 before this one. The books are interchangeable so reading it out of order did not cause any problems with the continuation of the story. Each book is about one of the individual Von Liedersdorf children. This book is about Stefan, the eldest boy. Stefan has been injured and taken to a hospital in Bergen, Norway. Although he can speak Norwegian, he choses not to so a translator is needed. Nurse Thea speaks German so she is used as a translator and later assigned to the floors where the German soldiers are treated. Being isolated here and not rotating to any of the other more disagreeable jobs causes the other nurses to be jealous and with the help of Astrid, who dislikes her because Erik Pederson, a high ranking Norwegian officer prefers Thea over her, spread rumors which isolates Thea even more. Stefan’s obvious preference for her presence causes even more problems for her. In addition, Erik Pederson’s unwanted attention causes problems too. A series of major incidents and accidents cause Thea to think about leaving Bergen for some other hospital; but she can’t figure out where to go without being caught.
An appalling premise, and while I haven't read it, here is someone who read a good portion of it, so they could speak to the anti-semitism and poorly-written nature of the first book:
You are such a talented writer. I have loved these books so much . I have chosen them as my choice for our book club read for this month . They are wonderful to read and the talent you having in bringing the characters alive .
