Monsters--shadows, gills, wings, and more. The things I fear crave me… and they’ve been here the whole time. Hiding, waiting, and wanting. Lurking, sneaking, and watching.

Traveling the country camping was supposed to be an escape from the strange and unusual that clings to my family. My family’s calling to fame terrifies me. The ghosts, the hauntings, the supernatural--I want nothing to do with it.

Too bad it wants everything to do with me.

Where did the trip first go wrong? Maybe when an old friend with dark secrets insisted on coming--a rising rock star whose fame is now putting me in the limelight.

Then there is the West Virginia local legend. A monster myth of cryptid fame. A campfire story. But there are those that believe--that are willing to do whatever it takes to capture the monster in the mountains.

Maybe even use humans as bait.

Maybe even use me.

Okay!

Nobody prepared me for this. 😳

I was not ready, y'all!! 😅

I didn't think I was a total monster romance newbie, but I guess I am! I can honestly say Run & Hide is like nothing else I've read before. To say I was slightly taken aback by the events that took place in this story is an understatement!

What do I mean specifically?

Well, one of the heroes is endowed with a tentacle penis (complete with suction cups and a tapered tip) that moves on it's own, pushes through the cervix, and fills his mate up with so much cum her stomach swells to an uncomfortable degree. What goes up must come down, so you can imagine what happens after that. His hobbies include singing (which may or may not lead to your untimely demise), hiding his true identity, and repressing his violent tendencies.

Hero #2 is a fur covered creature with red eyes, no visible nose or mouth at first glance, wings, and a proboscis tongue that brings on near immediate orgasms. He can't speak aloud, but he can speak to you inside your mind if you want your brain to resemble scrambled eggs. His hobbies include stalking, journaling, illustrating pornographic images of his sexual fantasies, and waving around a gun with no bullets.

I can't say I ever thought I would be reading a romance with male love interests quite like these guys. I definitely didn't think I would be reading a sex scene involving a single one of the things I mentioned above much less a combination of them, but here we are! There is still more to come though! The aforementioned creatures are not the only ones the heroine will be banging before before the series is over. This is a reverse harem series, and there are still love interests yet to be revealed!

Did I dnf this crazy shit immediately or decide not to continue on with series? Absolutely not! I'm a curious little bitch if I'm anything. As I'm typing this, I've already read the second book! 🥂

Who do I recommend this to? Monster romance fans and anyone that read my review and is intrigued in any way, you should give this one a try! It just might make your weirdo loving heart happy! ❤

I am so tired of monster romances that are churned out like an assembly line. No character development, no depth or genuine emotion, no world building. Just insert an immature, somewhat dumb, self-absorbed fmc, with multiple men who are obsessed with her for no apparent reason. Toss in some unique male anatomy, and publish!

Below is a slightly spoilerish random thoughts review…

It starts off promising. Ava, her mother and aunt are the ancestors of powerful witches.

As the saying goes, we were the daughters of the witches they couldn’t burn.

But Ava is terrified of everything. She squeaks, she shakes, she sobs, she runs into the dark woods alone, she leans on Caspian to be her rock. She must cling to his belly button since she is 5 foot 2 and he is 6 foot 5.

Speaking of Caspian, he is an up-and-coming, sexy beast of a rockstar. In fact, the only reason he became a rockstar is because he wants Ava to notice him. Whaaaaat?

Ava was everything. She was the reason I was in the band at all. I’d wanted her to see me. I wanted more of her attention.

He is her ex stepbrother, so I’m pretty sure he had her attention already. All those years as a teenager, when she was afraid of the dark and would crawl into his bed to snuggle.

This book starts off with Ava at one of Caspian’s concerts. A woman standing right next to Ava, takes her own life. The lack of empathy towards this person instantly colors what kind of character Ava is.

A great mystery that left devotees clinging to every potential scrap of information. (About his love life) So much so that no one was even talking about the girl who killed herself at his concert.

The media had also found out we were ex step siblings. The stupid picture of us was a huge deal. A talk show even argued about it.

Wow. Really? No one is talking about the woman whose blood covered both of you? The cell phone recordings aren’t plastered all over the internet? There is no police report, you weren’t questioned? Nothing more on this life-changing moment?

-Soooooo, that little impromptu concert in the woods? How did they get power to all their amps in the woods?

-Sex that feels like you’re at an obgyn appointment does not sound pleasurable. At. All. Buuuut the fmc likes painful sex so it’s ok. Her belly puffing up because of all the cum, reads like a Horvat book.

Ok, fine, I did like the praise kink.

-The two men/monsters are fighting about Ava, while his bandmates are being murdered?

-Now she’s letting this moth guy use his long feeler on her, because he thinks her genitalia looks like a flower?

I can’t believe I managed to finish this book.

I’ve had this book on my e-reader for a while and I was fully convinced it was a dark romance for some reason.
So, when I checked the blurb here on Goodreads, let’s just say I was in for a surprise..

This is a Monster Reverse Harem book.
And if you’re thinking:
I don’t really know what to make of that? Same.
So when I saw the words 'tentacle penis, excessive male fluids and Mothman', I was equally intrigued and scared.
But my morbid curiosity won, so I read it.

There’s absolutely no way I can explain this book to you. It’s very strange and a lot to take in. I don’t want to judge the book by it’s weirdness though, because what do you expect when you start a monster smut?

I had fun reading this, some of the smut was actually kinda hot ( which makes me question myself more than ever🫣 ) and there’s an interesting storyline. Caspian is extremely possessive (which I love), he sees Ava as his mate that he wants to imprint on.
Honestly, when I saw that I cringed just a tiny bit because, Jacob/Renesmee.. never got over that one.
The Mothman doesn’t really seem to care though, with the drawings he showed Caspian👀. That did made me laugh, ngl.

My only slight annoyance is Ava’s reaction to the things that happen sometimes. Especially with the ‘Mothman and the flower situation’. IYKYK..

This book ends on a cliffhanger so I’m definitely reading the next one. They will also add more ‘people’ to the harem, so can’t wait to figure out what other monsters come out to play.. 😌

How did a book that had very descriptive monster fucking turn out to be something I had to force myself to finish despite the fact that I really wanted to read more monster fucking books?

Ava. Ava did that all by herself.

I appreciate that she had what would be a very normal person's reaction to finding out the guy you've been drooling over and then screwing is actually a scary unknown monster re: she was scared stupid. Unfortunately, her backstory involves her being fully aware of the supernatural (both due to her own constitution and her family history) and it stretches the limit of my imagination that she didn't pick up on /any/ hints over the years. Yeah okay, she's been terrified her whole life and denial is her best friend but then why lie so much about it? I completely get not wanting to go into the family business, but what did you think was going to happen if you just kept prattling on about how the paranormal wasn't real? Just tell them you're scared and your family--you know, the ones who've been doing this a lot longer than you have and don't seem to hate you--would've most likely helped you deal with that fear in a healthy, not stupid way. (The haunted house shit was pretty obviously because they were trying to get her to see that ghosts were real which they wouldn't have done if they knew she knew that!!! Gah this is annoying me.)

Also if you're so scared ... why are you running off into the woods alone in the middle of the night to chase after fucking raccoons who stole your food? Let them take the fucking food, stay away from horror story bait! Not to mention all the 'oh Caspian's dick feels so strange and not human-like at all and oh he doesn't look too fazed by blood and oh you know what no I'm not going to think about this' crap MY GOD ENOUGH.

I was waiting so long for her to come into her own somehow. It's not like I wanted her to turn into some supernatural queen overnight or something--I would've settled for her making /less/ idiotic decisions that seem to completely contradict all the fear she was feeling but nope. Also Mothman was a very obvious monster but she was so quickly okay with him going down on her because ??? he didn't know what he was doing?? I hope I misread that (a very likely possibility, I was skimming by then.)

I really want to know who that guy in the mine was (also if she's so scared and she's being chased by a hunter WHY ANSWER CREEPY CALLS COMING FROM THE DARK I DON'T UNDERSTAND) and I want to know what the deal is with that splinter from hell and I want to know if Caspian and Brandon are going to fuck but I truly cannot stand the idea of having to deal with more Ava POV.

Two stars only because the monster fucking parts were cool and I liked all the Caspian shenanigans where he got violent and tore things apart. Going to re-read Cute But Psycho; Bree is my queen, she'll help make me less irritated.

Okay–I now have a new book series to obsess over. I love the gothic spooky vibes of this book, and Ava is an amazingly relatable and lovable heroine. Her mother is a medium and her aunt is a ghost hunter, and it’s clear that she has an uncanny connection to the supernatural–yet she’s terrified of ghosts and all things that go bump in the night. Ironic, because they have the opposite reaction to her…
We’re warned in the description that Ava doesn’t meet all of her love interests in this book (How many is she going to have?!) but I loved the slow introduction of the two love interests in this one. One of them–Caspian–is her former stepbrother, who’s been in love with her since the moment he set eyes on her. They’ve been close for years, but he never told her his dark secret… Clearly he’s not quite human, but what is he?
And then there’s another love interest, but I don’t want to spoil it here! I’m obsessed with him, and he has quite an intriguing personality–with his dry humour, loner personality, and he seems to be the opposite of Caspian. That said, both he and Caspian will do whatever it takes to protect Ava from the dangers of the forest.
This is the first in a trilogy, and it does end on a cliffhanger; however, the plotline of the first book seems self-contained, as the suspenseful storyline wraps up quite nicely. There’s clearly still a lot more story to be told, and I can’t wait!
HEA?

1.5 stars ⭐

At the beginning I was very excited to dive into this monster world and anticipated rating this very high. However, it became a major let down at every turn. The writing style was very basic, repetitive and unimaginative. I was debating on taking a shot for every time I read "in the water" within the span of three pages.

If the story was good I wouldn't be nearly as negative on the writing, but unfortunately it was a huge flop. It's like having a carrot on a stick that's kept just out of reach for the entirety of the book. I understand that is meant to make you read the next book but in order to do that, I would need to be excited and interested about what happens next.
I struggled to not DNF this but I kept going hoping things would pick up. (Spoiler: it didn't)

Monsters have it rough. Always having to hide in the shadows, away from prying eyes and humans with ill intentions. Mythical beings often feared and spoken of in terrifying tales, folklore and warnings. It’d make anyone a bit sheltered and secretive. 😇 This series is clearly for the monster lover in us all. In this case the heroine Ava will eventually luck out and have not only one, but a harem of her very own monsters, how many remains to be seen. Unfortunately for Ava, she is quite literally about to have her reality shifted out from under her. As someone whose worst fears are the connections she seems to have to spirits and dead things, running into the literal Mothman sets her world on edge and is only the tip of the iceberg. What starts as a simple camping trip ends in death and mayhem. From refusing to believe in the spirit world, Ava is about to get some firsthand knowledge she never asked for. Luckily Ava is not on her trip alone but is instead joined by her ex stepbrother and bestie Caspian. Caspian has not only been harboring feelings for her for years, but he’s been keeping a HUGE secret from her and everything is coming to a head. Talk about a wild couple days of drama, danger and utter madness. So far I really enjoyed the series and I can’t wait to see what and who is next. 😈

It is exciting when someone suggests a book that is completely off your radar. Especially one that promises so much. Enter Run & Hide (Myths & Monsters, #1).

It follows a woman, whose family runs a ghost hunter show, to national parks to take exciting photos of gear for an outdoor camping company. Her stepbrother, who is in a popular rock band, wants to tag along for the ride. Little do they know, the rock stars' bandmates do not want him to go, and show up to stifle their plans.

I thought the plot was fairly enjoyable, and it has all the ingredients of a good monster escapade. It’s set in a secluded area, creatures are running amok, characters are picked off one by one, and survival instincts are put to the test. I was actually quite pleased to see some film references and literary shout-outs strewn about the plot. It added a bit of reprieve from the lasciviousness. But its main goal is to entertain, so does it succeed? Yeah, I think so. It is what it is, for better or worse. If you want to disconnect from reality for awhile, this will definitely deliver.

But let’s not beat around the bush any longer. It’s pretty graphic. It’s not as bad as I initially thought, but it contains some pretty hefty content. But, I must say, some of the more steamy sequences are intriguing. Weird, but interesting. 👀

It has its own playlist at the beginning of the book, but may I be so bold as to add some extra tracks that come to mind? I’d include Stroke by Banks, Hunter's Moon by Ghost, and Birthday by Taproot.

Ava is a dumb ass, Mothman gives big pervert energy (in a bad way) & Caspian carried the entire book on his spiny back. don't feel like moving forward because the whole last bit with Ava and the dumb Moth was done extremely poorly.

i mean really, she says like five times that she owes the moth her life. she let him carry her off, got intimate with him immediately without so much as demanding him to take her back to Caspian... like she hasn't known Caspian since she was 14, like she doesn't consider him her best friend, like she didn't just fuck him that same day, like she hadn't just watched him go Swamp Monster Rambo for her. if we're talking about the debt of a life, all signs point to Caspian. i get that it's RH but the point from A to B is the worst way it could have been done. not impressed.

As the saying goes, we were the daughters of the witches they couldn’t burn.

On a camping trip for her new job photographing outdoor gear, Ava finally feels like she’s as far away from her weird, witchy family as she can be.

Except her former stepbrother decides to join her… and so does the rest of the band… and the woods they’re camping in are rumoured to have a mythical creature that eats humans!!

This was such a fun book! A little slow to start as we get some background info and reunite with Caspian.

I’d argued with myself about which was more cliche, lusting after my former stepbrother, or lusting after a rockstar.

But then once the camping trip starts Caspian really starts making his move. See he’s not exactly human and he’s known for years that Ava is his mate. It’s all going pretty well until people start dying and local legend Mothman shows up.

Mothman, a shadowed monster cloaked like some western gunslinger—hiding how different he really was.

I went into this book fairly blind and was kept on the edge of my seat for the second half. Mothman was 100% my favourite character and I’m excited to see more of him in book 2. It ends on a cliffhanger and we’ll be adding more monsters so I’m completely hooked.

Ugh ava

I'm giving this a 2 1/2 star rating. I really love the storyline, love the monsters! They are so different and unique from most monster lovers. It was seriously a awesome take on a new series. So why the low rating, I could barely get past our H in this book. I was constantly rolling my eyes hoping this women child would get over herself. We meet Ava who is charmed in a family of women who deal with the supernatural. Now I understood her wanting nothing to do with that life style, just because its the family business doesn't mean you have to continue on as well with it. But the way she constantly writes off the paranormal is like a kid throwing a tantrum. I don't believe, its not real. She annoying with it. Not to mention her constantly being scared of everything, having chills, having goosbumps, tears! . It just was overkill of a women who maybe should have stood home with her mommy and away from the big bad world. She just continues to be the most annoying women throughout the book, even is has the tstl moments. I mean ur scared of what's in the forest but still chase raccoon in there? Or you and the guys are hidden from a crazy Delusional killer and you hear a voice for help and decide to go on ur own to help? And look, killer was waiting for you. I mean come on? Her monsters save her, and are so kind to her, yet she still stills in front of them, has to remind herself that they won't eat her? (Eye roll) . honestly Ava is the most unlikable character ever. Scared brat, no brain cells, and not good enough for her monsters when every time she with them she feels like she shouldn't be doing this, " its not nature".

This book was SO GOOD! I heard this was a monster reverse harem, yess take my money! I finished this in one night, which haven’t happened in so long, I just couldn’t put it down.

Ava wants nothing to do with the family business, which is paranormal investigators. Ava is a medium but refuses to acknowledge her power. Supernatural beings are drawn to her like beacon. In order to escape this life she takes a traveling camping photography job, except she cannot escape who she really is.

Caspian is a rockstar with a secret. Right away I really loved Caspian! It is so cute how much he adores Ava and wants to make her happy.

I really love how these aren’t your typical monsters. The setting was absolutely perfect, a campground in the woods. This book was incredibly atmospheric, creepy and romantic. I seriously cannot wait to see what happens in book 2.

Beatrix Hollow has done it again. Another original story that kept me engaged from page 1. If you like a good monster story with some unique appendages then this is the book for you. The characters are well thought out and their interactions well written. Book 2 cannot come soon enough.

Do you ever wonder if monsters get their happily ever after? Well, this book might be giving you a taste of that. Or, at least, what happens when they fall in love.

This book was so good. I finished it in one night and I loved it. For a book that I thought was just going be about the regular/popular monsters, it had some great and interesting characters. It wasn’t just about the…monster attributes… there was some depth as well. No complaints about the other stuff, of course.

I wouldn’t say the book ended on a huge cliffhanger, but it has me needing to know what’s going to happen and who they might meet. I also feel like I need to know way more about these characters. I want all of the lore, and their personal stories. Cannot wait for book 2. You definitely don’t want to run and hide from these monsters.

This is equally parts horror, sex, and mystery. I’m not actually sure what I read but I loved it. I really wasn’t sure about the whole sex with monster thing, turns out I like it. This book was so good I couldn’t put it down and went right to the second book (which was equally just as good). Beatrix will definitely be put in my favorite author category.

This book is bonkers—and I really enjoyed it and plan to start the next one ASAP.

Reverse harem monster romance featuring cryptids including Mothman and a Shape of Water-esque creature, not to mention rockstar and (ex) step sibling themes AND fated mates. Bonkers but good!

I thought Beatrix 's "Cute by Psycho" will be my fav book of 2021, now that I read "Run and Hide " and I have no doubt this series will be climbing to the top !

What I love about this book , for one is the unique plot and character building. You won't be bored by the traditional alpha dominant male bossing the fmc around being all annoying and such. The first introduction of the harem is a charismatic and tender man who take care of his girl very thoroughly ! (you will know what I mean once you start ) . That goes the other potential member of the harm(note fm the blurb of the book : This is book one of a series and will be slow build, meaning not all love interests are introduced in book one.), he is a unique character and one that you will not forget! The story flows out easily, you will get to know the characters a little by little throughout the drama and then fall in love with them more and more.

Once you start reading, you will find that you can't get enough of the fascinating journey of the fmc and her men. It is mesmerizing , spicy and full of adventure. You might want to "run" and "hide" but you also couldn't help but to dive in and open your eyes full to see. It is like watching an action and suspense movie with the most amazing actors !

This is a book you don't want to miss if you are into monster, spicy, adventure, love and mate !!

This was creeptastic.
Especially since I read the majority of it outside, in the dark. Creepy as hell.

I’m really enjoying it though.
So far her monsters are super freaking cool.
I’m really freaking excited to see who gets added to the harem next and what they bring to the table, if you know what I mean.😏

So good.
I’m so glad I started reading this. It’s crazy.

Despite growing up in a famous paranormal family (Aunt's a ghost hunter and Mom's a medium), Ava's always been terrified of the supernatural and spent her whole life running from it. Her latest attempt to flee results her in leaving her family to travel around the country taking pictures for the owner of Sasquatch Inc. Caspian, her former step brother, decides to quit his on-the-verge-of-stardom rock band to travel around with her. His band mates are livid and won't let Caspian go without a fight. Not that Caspian cares. He only cares that no one comes between him and Ava, who is finally starting to acknowledge her feelings for him. If anyone jeopardizes their budding relationship, it will be the last thing they do.

You know how some authors' writing just vibe with you? BH is one of those rare authors for me. I've read one book by this author (Cute but Psycho) and I thoroughly loved the originality and weirdness. Since then I've been waiting for this series to be finished before I dove in and I was not disappointed with how fast I inhaled this. Caspian. Caspian. How I adore thee. I freaking loved how intensely obsessed he was with Ava and determined to claim her despite her habit of running away. He was worried about how she'd react when he finally revealed his true self to her. He's pissed and yet still determined when his entire band shows up on their road-trip with a new plan to bring him back to the fold. While camping in Appalachia grounds they're exposed to the legend of Mothman and his pursuers (crazy hillbillies). There's some gore, sad deaths and an uneasy vibe throughout the story. I'm still reeling with how I went from hating Brandon to actually feeling sorry for and liking him. Excited to see how his friendship with Caspian will develop. Mothman was plain hilarious and I wasn't prepared for how much I'd like his sarcastic humor. Of course Caspian is possessive of Ava and threatened by their connection. Caspian's seduction of Ava was unbelievably hot and I savored their scenes. Had to deduct one stars for Ava having two TSTL moments that annoyed me. But apart from that this story was perfection. Things ended on a cliffhanger so I'm eager to read the next book.

This author is definitely becoming one of my favorites. Ava’s family is in the monster/supernatural business and Ava wants nothing to do with it. But the monsters are drawn to her and her skills. In her effort to get away from the family business she takes a photography job. But the monsters are closer than she realizes. I loved the POVs from Caspian and Mothman - they are awkwardly sweet and entertaining. This is a slow build RH, so we’ve only met two of her mates so far, and I’m liking the rivalry between them. I’m hooked and can’t wait to see what happens next!

Are you afraid of the dark? Ava is… unfortunately for her she’s a beacon for all things that go bump in the night.

Run & Hide was spooktacular! I can honestly say that this series has the potential to become a new favorite for me!! I’m already in love with the characters we’ve met so far and I’m bouncing around like a yappy chihuahua in anticipation for the next book haha!

Now let’s get to the nitty gritty aka things from the book that stuck with me even a day after I finished reading it. Those sex scenes, lord those fucking sex scenes. *fans self* It’s been a long time since I’ve read every bit of a sex scene. I’ve gotten to the point where I just skim them because they get repetitive and don’t hold my attention… Let’s just say that was not the case with Run & Hide and leave it at that.

The other thing that I REALLY loved was how Beatrix wrote Ava. We all love a badass FMC that doesn’t need anyone but it’s nice to see an FMC that’s strong in her own way and still asks for help/comfort when she needs it. It adds a bit of realism and makes them relatable. We all need to know someone’s in our corner sometimes and Ava’s someone is the delicious Caspian… and hopefully Mothman.

Run & Hide does have a good bit of violence BUT I have to say as someone that’s squeamish and easily scared it wasn’t too bad! Granted the ghost scene at the beginning did make me want to sleep with one eye open… Don’t judge me! Ghosts scare the shit outta me and Ava agrees they’re scary so I don’t feel like a wimp admitting that haha.

Well what are you still doing here? Go! Grab a copy of Run & Hide for your Kindle now!

Not for me. Not my taste.

The characters are young, juvenile, selfish… my interpretation.
The FMC is always scared, of herself, of others, of anything different, and suffers from a serious case of TSTL.

There is certainly an audience for this style of story, but I’m not it.

I gave it 2⭐️, not because I found it at all redeeming, but out of respect for others right to enjoy.

Other than the TSTL moments, nothing actually wrong with this, just a matter of preference.

I skimmed quite a bit in order to finish, but never turned into something I could enjoy.
I suspect a younger audience may find this more suited…

This was nothing I expected. Honestly, it was so much fun to read. I found it really entertaining and easy to follow. Caspian, oh boy. I can easily imagine him on the stage enchanting people with his voice, and I loved his character. I'm so curious about what's going to happen with Mothman. He is a cheeky bugger (the drawings) lol Ava, I dare to say she seems a bit naive, even though at the beginning she came across as scared of anything supernatural, she is very accepting. I'm very curious to see where the story will take us.

I’ve been waiting for this book for a while now and I’m really glad to say the waiting was worth it because Run and Hide it’s incredible, the whole plot and romance were so well done it was impossible not be immersed in the woods and not to fall in love with Caspian.
I really can’t wait to read the next one and find out what Beatrix has in store for us.

This was like nothing I was expecting. I went into this book fairly blind, only knowing that it’s a monster reverse harem romance book. It’s equally dark and creepy vibes mixed with steam and mystery. The story was easy to follow and the FMC, Ava, was an interesting character that attracts everything paranormal, including our love interests 🤭

I loved how slow the introductions for Ava’s love interest were. And apparently we aren’t introduced to all of her love interest, yet. Which makes me even more eager to pick up the second book, to find out who’s in her reverse harem.
So far, I loved Caspian (her ex-stepbrother) and the mysterious (and equally intriguing) Mothman. I’m already hooked on Mothman and his character arc. I wanna know more about him! 🥵

Every summer they stole people, trying to lure me out like I was some monster who starved for human flesh. I was a fucking vegetarian.

I didn’t know that this was going to be a trilogy, let alone leaving me with a cliffhanger at the end. Excited to pick up the second book and see where the story will take us. Highly recommend the audiobook was well.

Tropes/themes:
• Why Choose/Reverse Harem
• Ex step-brother
• Mystery/ thriller/ folk horror themes
• Camping trip gone wrong
• Dub-con
• Rockstars
• Secret tattoo

So, uhhh, that was interesting.

I've read "monster" books before, but I don't think I've finished one. If I did, then I can't remember. However, I DID finish this one, and I'm not too sure if this is my jam or not.

I appreciated the story, and I even appreciated the "monsters", but I found myself cringing, like A LOT, and I don't know if cringing during the hot and steamy scenes is a good or a bad thing here, lol.

I'm definitely NOT kink-shaming, rather I'm trying to figure out if this is something I need more or less of in my life.

On the one hand, I actually finished the book, which means I had to have liked it. But, on the other hand, I was also kinda grossed out.

Anyways, everyone should read the book--because I wanna know thoughts!!

“You don’t like monsters, Ava, but maybe they like you,”

Want a weird time with monsters in the woods? Have a thing for Mothman or a monster with a tentacle peen?
This is the book for you. I went into Run & Hide knowing nothing except that it had monsters in it and I quite enjoyed the adventure. It was my first Beatrix Hollow read and it read unlike any other monster romance I’ve had the pleasure of reading so far. Mothman was a delightful little treat because he had such a silly sense of humor. He definitely gave the story some much needed comic relief but he wasn’t immature. He balanced being serious and funny very well. Plus he can fly and has a tongue that sucks (literally). What’s not to love? Then we have Caspian our nokken monster who has been in love with Ava since the day he met her. He treats her with such care and devotion and he’s just a big softy when it comes to her.
I’m definitely excited to see what happens next.

TWs: on page murders (done by side characters) and physical violence

What to expect:
Ex stepsiblings
Rockstar
Nature photographer
Nokken monster with a tentacle like 🍆
Cervical penetration
Cum inflation
Mute Mothman with a dirty sense of humor
Slow Build Reverse Harem
Praise
Excessive 💦
