I fell in love with Jett instantly. But I was afraid of my intense feelings. When I finally had the courage to speak up, it was too late. Now months later, I’ve decided to leave Three Rivers. I can’t handle living in the same small town as the man I’ll never stop loving. But when he learns of my plan to drive north into a snowstorm, he insists on driving me. Too much time has passed for us to work things out. But I decide to enjoy Jett’s company while I have it. If only I could keep my feelings in check.
Jett
I feel in love with Addie instantly. But when my best friend ended up in a bad accident, it reminded me of a very painful truth. The people who get too close to me end up hurt or dead. Because I could stand the thought of Addie falling victim to my curse, I lied to her. I set her free. Seeing her all these months has been a special kind of torture. But when she confesses she’s moving away, it rattles something inside me. I refuse to let her drive into a snowstorm alone. When we get stranded, I can’t decide if fate is taunting me or giving me a second chance with the only woman I’ve ever truly loved.
The six of us made a pact. We’ve survived basic together, shared duty stations, and gone to war together. But the needs of the Army have separated us multiple times. That’s why we agreed that when each of us got out, we’d each settle down in the same mountainside town of Three Rivers. It was a favorite place to get away on holiday weekends when the six of us were stationed together in Alaska, and as veterans now we can’t imagine anywhere better. A place filled with fresh mountain air, friendly people who are there when you need them but happy to keep to themselves when you don’t, and unexpected love none of us saw coming.
Sweet & steamy short story insta-love romance with an older mountain man and younger curvy woman. NO cliffhangers. NO cheating. Guaranteed HEA.
Another quick, spicy story from Kali Hart. This book was the last one in the Brothers in Arms in Alaska collection. The stories have gotten a lot better as you get into the collection. It seems that Ms Hart specializes in insta love. As I said in a previous review, I know insta love happens but it happening to ALL of her characters and their friends in the same town is absolutely unrealistic. Not sure I’m going to read the second collection, even though I bought it. There’s a limit to my acceptance of insta love. I feel like this is going to be what happens to all of the other army buddies. Insta love, marriage, “put a baby in the belly” are the tropes in ALL of these stories.
Addie and Jett had a relationship months prior, but Jett suddenly call it off... in a not nice way. Seeing Jett everyday was too much and Addie wants to start over somewhere else. Jett can't let go although it was him ending it. A snowstorm and a woman that fights for her HEA, and Jett can't run away 😉 Sweet, romantic, steamy , safe and with a HEA. 😍😍😍Can't wait for Storms story👍👍

Jett is the sixth book in the Brothers in Arms in Alaska series. We finally get the story of Adalyn, who is best friends with Charlotte and the reason they both moved to the tiny town of Three Rivers, Alaska. Charlotte found the love of her life with Brooks but we were left with the unanswered question of exactly why Adalyn fled Anchorage.....so I was wanting that answered for sure. It was Adalyn who helped Brooks make a love connection with Charlotte and by doing that she started getting close to Brooks's best friend and "brother" Jett, as he was serving as Brooks's wingman. Adalyn and Jett had made a connection and it seemed to be going somewhere big. But that all changed when Storm's plane crashed in the wilderness and the guys found him just in time to save his life. Adalyn had driven with Jett to Anchorage to be with Storm but at the hospital Adalyn's world had been ripped apart once again. Let's just say it was one very awkward drive back home. Since then Adalyn and Jett have both tried to avoid each other but for Adalyn she has found her heart keeps breaking and she finally needs to get away. So she has plans to slip out of town in the morning and head north to Fairbanks. That is just after she finishes throwing Charlotte a "diapers and beer" baby shower, as the men are also invited. During the party Adalyn's plans go awry when she is outed and it is Jett who puts his foot down and will not let her drive her car if she is determined to go. Jett may have his reasons for not wanting to be with Adalyn but that does not mean he does not love her and want to keep her safe. So when a major storm is forecast to hit the next day and Adalyn determined she is leaving he knows he has to take her himself while putting her car on a trailer and towing it. Along the way the storm hits and they find a great way to keep warm together. When they finally arrive at Adalyn's Aunt Gemma's house it turns out that Jett cannot return home as the roads are closed due to the storm. Will this time give Jett and Adalyn the time to really talk and lay it all out there to each other.....finally being truthful and open.
This was a wonderful story with two broken characters that have a habit of getting caught in their own heads. When they finally unravel with each other they finally have a chance at the HEA they were meant to have in the beginning. I really enjoyed this book.
This book is about Adalyn and Jett. Adalyn’s friend Charlotte is having a baby soon, and has had a hand in organising her baby shower. She also has some news of her own that she’s not willing to share until after this party. They’re best friends, and fell in love with best friends. Now Charlotte is having a baby, and Adalyn is alone. Her and Jett were doing great, but then things changed rapidly after his friend Storm was involved in a non-fatal plane crash.
Charlotte is concerned about her friend, and implores her to talk to her about it. But she refuses to, even after all this time. She’s just not ready to open up about everything. Getting over Jett seems impossible to Adalyn, and seeing him all the time, but not having anything to do with him, is destroying her. This is why she’s decided to leave.
When Charlotte finds out her best friend is leaving, she’s devastated. Jett also questions her about the move, and she admits that she plans to leave the very next morning. He tells her that she’s not to go because of the worsening weather causing dangerous road conditions. When she refuses to listen he possessively tells her that he will drive her to Fairbanks, end of story! She isn’t happy about it, but relents, not having the energy to argue any more. Adalyn doesn’t understand why he seems concerned all of a sudden.
The snowstorm arrives earlier than anticipated while they’re on the road, causing all sorts of problems for them. This gives them the opportunity to talk about what happened – or to avoid it. Jett eventually explains his reasoning for bailing out on their relationship when it seemed to be going so well. Will the guilt he feels for what happens to those he loves be too strong to allow himself the chance to actually be happy? I give this book four and a half stars.

Adalyn and Jett meet when Brooks and Charlotte get together, they are their wingmen. As they push their friends together, Adalyn and Jett get closer together, that is until when of Jett's friends gets hurt. Although Jett's feeling for Adalyn is strong, his love to keep her safe over powers his need to be with her, so he pushes her away.
Adalyn and Jett's story is a love/hate relationship. Jett is doing what he can to stay away. Adalyn does what she can to escape his presents. When Adalyn makes the decision to leave, Jett has to make his choice on what he really wants. Their story will pull at your heart as you get lost in their journey. Wanting Adalyn to find her HEA, while wanting to knock some since into Jett.

Adalyn has moved to Three Rivers Alaska with her friend for a change of pace, enjoying the small town vibe. She works as a barista in a local coffee shop. Adalyn is at a crossroads in her life and she is trying to do what she must—to survive. Adalyn and Jett broke up and are no longer seeing each other. Adalyn got scared by how quickly and fully she loved him. Jett was scared about bad vibes - how people he loved left him or died on him. These two characters are at different stages in their life. Addie can’t stand to be in love with Jett and not be able to share his life - she must leave town! These characters are vibrant, cocky, feisty, funny and are an explosive powder keg! The characters made the story!

Adalyn is best friend to Charlotte and they moved together to a small town in Alaska. Charlotte is in love with one of the ex-military guys and Jett is his wingman. Adalyn and Jett start a relationship, but when his friend almost dies, he breaks up with her so his curse will not affect her. People close to him seem to disappear due to death or accident, leaving him alone over and over. She takes is hard, being in the same small town, so she is going to go to Fairbanks to her aunts home. Major snow storm coming so Jett drives Adalyn there. The characters are strong and determined, with intense feelings and emotions ruling their hearts. The storyline has plenty of surprises, and tough situations as they figure out what to do. Loved the ending.

I’ll start by saying I did like it. I read the previous book with Brooks and Charlotte and was super curious to find out what happened with these two. I felt it was a bit disjointed - maybe not the right word. I felt like I missed a bunch of chapters somewhere. I think it would have helped to have a bit more prior to the breakup. Even when they sort of went over it, I still didn’t get how fast everything was forgiven after they both kept saying how harsh and horrible the conversation was.The story moved super fast and had a ton of dirty talk and heat. Overall, good read especially if you are following the series.

First things first; I like the cover of this book! Jett is the sixth book in the ‘’brothers in arms in Alaska’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Jett and Adalyn were briefly together until Jett broke her heart. When Adalyn decides to leave town, will Jett come to his senses? The chemistry between Jett and Adalyn is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I hope for more books from this series.
Jett is the sixth book in the Brothers in Arms in Alaska series. This is Adalyn and Jett's story. I love their love/hate relationship.
Adalyn is best friends with Charlotte and the reason they both moved to the tiny town of Three Rivers, Alaska. Charlotte found the love of her life with Brooks but we were left with the unanswered question of exactly why Adalyn fled Anchorage. I am so glad we finally have that answer I have been wanting to know since Brooks and Charlotte's book. It was Adalyn who helped Brooks make a love connection with Charlotte and by doing that she started getting close to Brooks' best friend and "brother" Jett, as he was serving as Brooks' wingman.
I so can't wait to read the next book in the series, Storm.
This was a great book with an interesting story and wonderful characters. Jett was some kind of complicated, he loves her but sent her away, because he was afraid of some kind of curse, that let all people die who had his heart. Adalyn can't stand this any longer and is about to move away. Let the snowstorm begin :). Followed by some very hot scene that made visible how they both feel for each other. Well written short story with more hot scenes than normal, but a sweet story and characters who are afraid to open their heart and let someone in. And let the person that loves you take their choices herself.
Whilst Adalyn and Jett’s romance started in the background of the previous story, Brooks, it is still a standalone novella. Jett believes that being emotionally close to him is a curse. Addie has no idea why Jett suddenly pulled away but she was hurt by it and can’t stand living in the same town anymore. When she looks to leave town, Jett volunteers/demands to escort her through a snowstorm and then they’re able to rebuild their relationship.
This novella was dual POV, well written, and a lovely, easily resolved angst, addition to the series.

Book six in the Brothers in Arms in Alaska series. This one is a bit of a heart-wrenching story. These two have feelings for each other but he thinks he is cursed if anyone gets close to him. So he has to let her go. She is confused and heartbroken. He doesn't want to let her go, but he has to keep her safe. He helps her get to her aunt's but a snowstorm strands him at their place. While there, is she able to get him to tell her the reason for breaking her heart? Will he be able to see that there is no curse? Or is there really a curse and they can't be together because of it?

Addie and Jett have chemistry that explodes from the page, but they both have a terrible history of running. Jett is a protector and so when he fears for Addie's life he just cuts her off, no warning, no explanation, no discussion, it's what he thinks is best, so he avoids her. Addie literally runs, anytime anything goes wrong she moves to a new town, so when Jett goes silent she has to protect her heart and packs her bags! There are times you just want to shake these two and make them talk to each other! So much heart ache and time could have been saved. A good book but not the best in the series for me, I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
Jett thinks anyone he loves ends up dead or injured so when his feelings for Adalyn turn to love he has to let her down easy but it actually breaks her heart so she decides to move to Fairbanks with her aunt. When a snowstorm is approaching Jett insist that he drive her up north when he gets snowed in her and her aunt where he and Addy spend some hot steamy times together so when he sets out to leave Addy makes him tell her the reason he tells her that he loves her but they can not be together.
We met Jett and Adalyn in the previous book in this series and this is their story. They met at the café where Adalyn works, and they like each other immediately. Both had some kind of bad experiences in the past. Adalyn has trust issues and he is obsessed with the idea that every person who goes near him is going to be injured or even dead. They have to work really hard to get together but they have the most powerful weapon to achieve that goal: Love. Really nice story. Adalyn’s heart was broken when Jett told her that their time together didn’t mean anything and was just fun. Little did she know that Jett was protecting her from the curse of being close to him. The past few months not being near Adalyn have been torture for Jett but he knows he must keep her safe. Another engaging read in this series. There’s a lot of chemistry between Jett and Adalyn but both are too stubborn to tell the other how they really feel.

I am getting a whiplash with Jett. He wants her, but he is ignoring her. He is in love with her but told her the opposite. He loved her but is willing to leave as soon as he can. Then finally, all the reasons why they can’t be together was thrown out of the window. She fought for the chance and the decision to love him back.

I so love this series by Kali Hart! Jett and Adalyn are off the charts adorable and super steamy! Both hold secrets and fears that have them pushing each other away. But fate, in the form of a snowstorm, has a way of bringing them back together. Soooo good!! Can’t wait for Storm’s story!

If you read the previous story in this series, then you are aware of the chemistry/relationship between Jett and Adalyn. This is their actual story and what happened next. Let's just say that Storm's accident at the end of "Brooks" left Jett beyond rattled causing him to make a mistake. A mistake that he may not have time to fix....Adalyn is leaving Three Rivers.

An enjoyable book six in the Brothers In Arms in Alaska series! It is emotionally deep, intriguing, and well written with drama, ups and downs, intense passion, steam, and more. The characters are amazing; the chemistry between them is instant and intense. Definitely recommended!

At first I was getting mad at Jett because of the way he was treating Addie. Everyone knew they were in love but Jett let the past interfere. Addie's only choice was to move away. Read their story to see how everything goes for them. It's a good story. I'm so looking forward to Storm's story. :)
Jett is sweet and sexy and oh so stubborn. He has a misconception about life struggles that he allows to color his life and his love. Addie is sweet and cute and so heartbroken. I love their journey. This short story has a heavy hand and it is nice to see if they can turn things around.

I liked how Jett’s and Adlyn’s story begins with them trying to get over their break up. A great take on explanation of how they came together and eventually broke up. A good storyline with characters that keep it interesting as they are both holding back some truths. A great ending for this hard fought couple.

This is the latest addition to the Brothers in Arms in Alaska series and is the story of Jett and Addie. We’ve met these 2 in a previous book and knew there was something going on between them. Then all of a sudden …nothing. In this story, we learn what happened. I liked the story but Addie needed him to beg for forgiveness a little more. Good quick read!
I TRULY enjoyed reading Jett and Addie, are just a wonderful couple. Life is full of storms and situations, it’s how you handle them that makes you strong.

Usually it one character, not both afraid to give themselves to the feelings that have taken over them. Addie and Jett shared a kiss on a hike and sparks flew. Jett was scared to get close because of his past loss. Addie was afraid to believe someone could be honest and love her. It took a move for them to find honesty and love. I really enjoyed this one.
