Additionally, A. Maddie Dee shares her point of view that everything black women and black men do within this system of integration-from religion to sex--entrenches a permanent powerless position, creating dysfunctional behaviours and relationships which sustain the lifeline of oppression. Maddie Dee further contends that without reframing the lens of manhood through which the black woman views black men and changing her interactions with the black man, she is contributing to the unlikelihood of liberation.
