Logan Jax is the boss who plans to charm the off-limits nanny…
I probably shouldn’t have eyed the nanny like she was my next meal. But what guy living a bachelor’s life wouldn’t when your nanny looks like Sadie? I don’t get points for asking her to be my fake date, either. But I needed to close a billion-dollar deal. I definitely don’t get points for sleeping with the nanny. However, Sadie’s hand roamed, my hand roamed, and the rest is history.
My sister gave me one rule when my nephew was placed in my care. Don’t (literally!) screw up the arrangement with the supernanny.
And despite the sexy nanny trying to keep it professional, my charm wore her down, and although Sadie struts around in my shirt, clearly enjoying my cocky antics—it’s a problem. I’m positive she wants me, and I want her. But I don’t do relationships or family; I’m not the settling-down type, and that’s exactly what she wants…
The Big Charmer is the second standalone novel from the Mr. Boss series where you can revisit your favorite characters throughout. This feel-good story is filled with banter, a swoony boss, steamy times, and surprises along the way.
Evey writes heartwarming romances with steamy moments, often in small-town settings with an element of sports. An American from the Midwest, she now lives in a tiny country in Europe where it rains a lot. That is probably why she occupies her days typing away on her laptop with music on repeat and slow-roast coffee nearby. Oh, and she vows to never break up with cake.
Book 2 in the Mr Boss Series and what a perfect addition to this entertaining series. This is Logan and Sadie’s riveting story, Logan only has one job to do and that’s looking after his nephew Mason while Mason’s mum is in hospital waiting to have twins, he has strict instructions do not to mess with the nanny!!!! Problem is he needs a fake fiancé to close a business deal and Sadie is the obvious choice but she is meant to be off limits…… Sadie is hired to look after Mason but the attraction for Logan is instant and the chemistry is sizzling so what happens when lines are crossed , will this playboy be tamed by the nanny….. This is a story with all the feels, the banter is witty and flows naturally, the chemistry is off the charts, the characters are easy to love and it’s a well written, riveting tale. Loved everything about this book and can’t wait to see where the very talented Ms Lyon takes us next.
The Big Charmer is the second book in the Mr. Boss Series by E.H. Lyon. It can be read as a standalone and is a workplace, fake fiancé romance. Logan Jax is a sweet, considerate, and charming player. He’s a workaholic and doesn’t have time for relationships nor does he do relationships. He is tasked with looking after his nephew, Mason, while Mason’s mom is in the hospital. Sadie is the nanny hired to help Logan take care of Mason. Logan ends up in a situation where he needs a fake fiancé for a business deal. The two have sizzling chemistry and reality easily blurs with the lies. The question is how far will their attraction to each other take them.
This was an addicting story of two individuals fighting their attraction to one another and trying to maintain some semblance of professionalism. The book is light while emotional, full of angst, some drama, and feelings. The chemistry between the main characters is high, their banter is realistic and full of laughs. The writing flows smoothly, and the plot is executed very well. This was a refreshing read I recommend for people looking for a light fake fiancé romance packed with emotions!
A great beach read! The author draws you in with the entertaining banter, chemistry with heat, and Mason, the nephew!
Logan is the anti-relationship, charming player of a guy. He has one job: look after his nephew while mom is in the hospital, and do not mess with the nanny! But he needs a fiancé for a business deal. We all know where this situation is leading.
Sadie is the supernanny to Mason, and she is immediately attracted to Logan. Can they keep it professional? Will they catch feelings?
The Big Charmer is the second book in the Mr. Boss series, but it stands alone. You will experience lots of laughs, some angst, and a few surprises. I can not wait to see what this author brings us next.
I received an advanced copy from the Author; this is my voluntary review.
I was entertained by this story from beginning to end! I was so invested I couldn’t be bothered to make dinner. As a nanny myself, these kinds of plots are my guilty pleasure so I knew I would want to read this one. The characters, the plot, the storyline, it was very engaging, I’m glad I came across this book!
Stephannie's 5 Star Review: The Big Charmer is the second book in the Mr. Boss Series by E.H. Lyon. Logan Jax can charm your pants right off you. He isn't into relationships; so he is categorized as a bit of a player. Mason is Logan's nephew. Mason's mom is in the hospital waiting to have twins. So he is staying with his uncle for a while and Sadie was hired to help take care of him. Logan works a lot and needs help while his sister is in the hospital. There is an attraction between Logan and Sadie from the start. Sadie tries to keep it professional but Logan uses his charm to make things unprofessional between the two. How far will things go between these two? These two have chemistry with a fun-loving and sexual lust-filled banter. There is so much build up but what happens when they do take it to the next level? Will Logan send her packing with a goodbye basket? or is she for keeps? This story is a great story that was easy to read and get sucked right into the story. I read it cover to cover in one sitting. It is light and fun with a bit of drama. This is a really great sit by the pool and read type of book. I loved it and recommend it. One-click this fun-loving book today! The Big Charmer is the second standalone story from the Mr. Boss series. This story is filled with banter, a swoony boss, and surprises along the way.
This One is a Big Win for E.H. Lyon Fans! E.H. Lyon’s “The Big Charmer,” Book #2 of the Mr. Boss series, is a story packed with steamy chemistry, some super sweet aww moments, and amazing characters. I’m a huge fan of Lyon’s writing, and I love the care taken in the development of the plot and cast in this story. Logan is a driven hedge fund manager - a handsome bachelor that oozes power and sexuality. He has a soft spot for his family and would do just about anything for his twin sister, which leads him to hiring a nanny to help him take care of his young nephew for the summer. Sadie is a beautiful woman - an innately nurturing soul whose goal in life is to take care of the people she loves. And while she’s a sweet soul, this young woman is strong, independent, and just sassy enough to keep the cocky hero on his toes. I love the way the author weaves in characters from earlier in the series so effortlessly, and I’m really looking forward to reading Book 3! Five stars all over the place, E.H. Lyon!
The latest EH Lyon series is off to a spectacular start! This is the second book in the Mr Boss series of standalones and it was amazing!! ❤️ I loved the characters, the writing, the story, and especially the flirty steam.
Logan and Sadie are my new favorite couple!! Logan hires Sadie as a nanny when he needs to take care of his nephew for an extended period of time. There is chemistry between these two from the start but Sadie tries to keep a professional distance. Logan is definitely “The Big Charmer” and she won’t be able to resist his charms for long!
The problem is that Logan doesn’t do relationships and Sadie wants the whole package: husband, kids, and even a pet. The steam between these two is off the charts!!!! What will happen when Logan doesn’t need a nanny anymore? Will the fantasy bubble be burst and Sadie’s heart broken? Will Logan realize that Sadie is what he’s been missing in his life? Read their story today!! You will be so glad you did!
I received an advance copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Logan was the proverbial bachelor and not in the market for any kind of committed relationship. When he met Sadie he could feel the attraction and could only hope she would take him up on his offer to contact him. Never expecting their next meeting with her as his nephew's nanny. And the challenge begins - either with himself in fighting the attraction or trying to charm her enough to let him get close. But the tables were quickly turned on him as he realized that she was more than a passing temptation, she was filling a spot in his life that he didn't realize needed filling. But the day would come for them to part ways because they want different things from life. Or do they? Will he be brave enough to face his fears and in turn gets the biggest pay off of his life? I just loved this book and the characters. In true EH Lyon style I was hooked from the start, taken on a roller coaster of emotions, barreling through the book to get to the end. A page turner once again. I received an ARC copy and am leaving a voluntary review.
Another amazing and entertaining story by E. H. Lyon!!!
What happens when Mr. Charming Logan Jax needs to take care of his nephew and so it happens a very sexy babysitter comes to the rescue?
Well let me tell you.... Banter galore and off the charts chemistry with all the right awww moments and sweetness that is Logan and Sadie together.
This story is entertaining from start to finish. This story just pulls you in and you can't help but fall in love with all the characters. I love how Logan changes all his previous ideas about relationships and commitments and how Sadie is the woman to do it.
Logan is taking care of his nephew while his sister is in the hospital, and there's a supernanny named Sadie thrown in for good measure. He's a work alcoholic which is why he won't do relationships, and his sister wanted him to stay the hell away from the supernanny. You already know that didn't help things as it was like waving a red flag in front of a bull, and with the sparks flying like they are, there's no way he'll be able to keep to that. However despite the connection they share, he's not willing to do a relationship, and while he was charming, it was only to a certain extent for me. I'm not going to lie, The Big Charmer was a story that was impossible to put down as this author's writing style is very addictive at the end of the day. I hope you'll decide for yourselves since I'm me, and you're you so we won't necessarily feel the same way. Now it's your turn so hit those one click buttons as I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This is the first book I've read by this author, and it didn't disappoint. The Big Charmer is a steamy and delicious read. I was hook at the beginning with the witty banter and crassness that is Logan Jax!
I gave this book 4.5 sexy stars, Logan and Sadie were just awesome.
Logan is a habitual playboy not planning on settle down. He enjoys his lifestyle very much, but when his nephew comes to stay the summer he knows he's going to have step back a little. So when the nanny shows up and is the charming Sadie he met not long ago he knows he's in trouble. Sadie knows men like Logan and decides it best to keep it professional or so she plans. She wants a life that Logan doesn't but what wrong with a little summer fun.
This boss romance was very good and adding Mason to the mix just makes it so much better.
The Big Charmer is the second book in the Mr. Boss Series by E.H. Lyon. The title is perfect for this story, Logan Jax is a charmer. He is sweet, considerate, hot AF, and can talk anyone into doing anything. He also is a bit of a player, but in his defense, he works all the time and doesn't have time for relationships. Sadie is the nanny who will help care for Mason, Logan's nephew, who stays with him for a while. They are immediately attracted to one another, and when Logan asks Sadie to play his fake fiance, things start to feel real. Will they be able to keep things professional? Logan and Sadie's chemistry is high from the moment they meet. They get along so well and have this constant banter going on. A smirk, a glance, etc., is all they need to make the most unsexual things sexual, and it all adds to the build-up. This story is light and entertaining, with lots of laughs, but at the same time, there is angst, drama, and lots of feelings and emotions. It's all very balanced, and that's something I really like in a story. In true E.H. Lyon style, she created a realistic world with relatable characters. Her writing style is enjoyable, the story has a good pace and flows perfectly. The Big Charmer is a relaxing summer read. Perfect for lovers of the workplace/ fake fiance trope and people who enjoy characters that have lots of interaction with children.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
What a fun story! I really enjoyed the banter between Logan and Sadie. It is nice to see a strong, smart female lead who can give as good as she gets. She turns the tables on Logan a number of times and really gives him a run for his money. It was nice to see the growth of Logan as a character and the author did a great job not immediately turning the tables and having Logan go from playboy to romantic committed boyfriend. She really walked Logan down the path to change his feelings. This was such a fun, sarcastic, witty read and I truly enjoyed reading it. I highly recommend this book and will be keeping my eyes open for the next book!
I love a good boss romance and this one hit the nail on the head! It had great banter, angst and some spicy love scenes. Logan and Sadie were the perfect match for each other. They push each other and even out their downfalls. I loved Logan’s relationship with his sister and nephew and that Sadie was a strong woman who knew her limits and when to call it quits.
If you’re looking for a fun yet emotional nanny/boss read this one is it!
This title is totally appropriate for Logan. That man has charming down to a science. It was fun watching him fall in love with Sadie. I also loved that Sadie could hold her own with him. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.
Logan and Sadie’s story is the second standalone story from the series. It is pretty steamy because of the instant attraction and chemistry between them. It is sizzling and undeniable but Sadie was hired to nanny for Logan's nephew so she's all kind of complication. Their story is pretty well-written, filled with witty banter, lots of humor, and love. This is another entertaining story. I can't wait for Emily and Wes' story next.
I absolutely loved everything about Sadie and Logan story. I was smiling throughout the whole thing from time they met to how everything fell into place at the end. 💜
This book was a refreshing read, the banter, the swoony boss, the sassy nanny, and the sneaky kid. I loved how they hit it off after the first meeting and then Logan getting the taste of family by living with both of them and then wanting one of his own with the same girl. it was really sweet. I don't know why but I was waiting for another shoe to drop, the first one being Logan scared of relationships, but it didn't drop and I was glad. It was a happy read.
I guess the misleading green of Logan’s bank account was bright enough for Sadie and everyone else to completely miss the glaringly red flags of Logan’s entire character.
Sorry but how did this rank higher than the first book exactly?95% of the book is Logan telling Sadie he won’t settle down and then all of a sudden I’m suppose to believe his change of heart at the very last stretch? Hard to suspend my disbelief on this one. People need to heal more because this should not be a standard for romance. Very very disappointing at the misleadingly high ratings for this story.
Josh and Layla > Logan and Sadie.
At least Josh respected Layla’s decision for distance when it came their ambiguous physical relationship. Logan seduced a naive Sadie knowing full well that she wanted the complete marriage, HEA package and he didn’t all because he wanted to screw her. So romantic. He says he doesn’t want to break her heart but he still pursued her and broke it anyway? Most readers really preferred and excused this type of man just because he’s a billionaire and his grand gesture was him lightly looking for her and just asking around where she was? The bar is in he** for this one.
Even the epilogue was unbelievably subpar. It was all about sex for Logan. He wasn’t even involved in the wedding plans. Correction, he did choose the lingerie she’d wear for after the ceremony. Let’s not forget the part where she had to ask him if he was okay after finding out if they were pregnant or not. Excuse me if I don’t believe that his character truly changed since all signs points to him masking it and only wanting Sadie for what she can do for him sexually.
Likes: I liked how, even though Sadie was younger than Logan, she wasn't virginal and naive. Also Logan was such a sweetie for helping his sister like he did.
Dislikes: Slightly too many mentions of his past 'fruit basket' recipients.
Synopsis: The Big Charmer follows millionaire Logan, who becomes temporary guardian of his nephew after his sister is forced into hospital on bedrest while pregnant with twins. And Sadie, who's hired by his sister as the nanny when Logan's at work. Sparks soon start to fly, so who better to be his fake date than the super hot nanny he should definitely not sleep with…definitely not. Will they risk their professional relationship for something much more intimate? And what happens when her contract comes to an end? Will she be another 'fruit basket' recipient? Loved it!
Logan Jax is the eternal bachelor, at least, he’s never been willing to settle down. But when Sadie Bay sashays into his life, everything changes. He can’t stop thinking about her how, and how to make her his… only problem? She’s his nephew’s nanny, and he can’t afford to cause any more mayhem in his seven year old nephew’s life. But as Logan and Sadie dance around each other, the possibility certainly gets more appealing…
E.H. Lyon is an amazing author, and this book certainly did not disappoint. Sadie and Logan’s sizzling chemistry was obvious from the start, and I loved how their relationship develops over the course of the novel. And I loved how Logan was so protective of both his twin sister Zoey and his nephew, Mason. I also loved how determined Sadie was to keep things professional, and how Logan had to work to wear her down. This was an absolute joy to read, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!!!
This is the second book in this series by this author and what a fantastic addition to the series this book is. This story follows the characters Logan and Sadie, these two characters have hot chemistry from the start which only intensifies more as time goes on. These two characters also have plenty of banter between them which is fun loving and sexual. This is a fantastic story which will grip you from the first page and keep you reading long into the night. This is an amazing addition to this series from this author.
I was given a copy of this book and this is my honest review
This is a nanny and sexy boss romance. This is about Logan and Sadie. Sadie is a babysitter for the summer and watching Logan's nephew while his mother is on bed rest and having her twins. She hires Sadie to take care of Mason during the summer while Mason lives at his uncle Logans apartment during the day.
This story was a bit of a slow burn romance. Mason is not into anything long term and he doesn't want things to blow up with the nanny while Mason needs her there. On the other hand Logan lusts for Sadie and her him as well.
Then when Logan asks her to be his pretend fiancee for a business deal and thats when this book gets really fun.
This story is connected to the first as Josh and Noah are friends with Logan and they also handle his PR.
I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This series keeps getting better! While the characters in the books “know” one another, they don’t necessarily hang around in the same circles. Logan (M of this one) and Josh (from The Unexpected Card) do business with one another and occasionally hang out. That being said, you don’t need to read these in order to know what’s going on. Josh was barely a passing mention at the very end of The Big Charmer.
So, The Big Charmer? It’s just as wonderful as the first book in this series. In fact, I finished The Unexpected Card around midnight last night and still wanted to read more. I started The Big Charmer and was immediately drawn into the characters and the story. I finished it this afternoon around 5:00. If you’re looking for a fun, light-hearted rom-com with engaging characters and a story to go along with them, look no further!
Nanny romance, anyone? Logan is a successful man complete with looks and charm. Sadie is a fresh master's graduate student, who is looking for a summer job before begins her career. Since their first met, these two already have spark and when fate reunites them as temporary boss and nanny, they can't help themselves but fall into the temptation.
The story is quite fast-paced, still, it is perfect for the characters. Both Logan and Sadie help each other in becoming the best version of themselves. I also love the side characters in the story: Mason, the cutest kid!, Zoe, the extraordinaire twin sister, and Cole. Truly an enjoyable read from the beginning until the end. Can't wait for the next book in the series!
*Thank you Enticing Journey PR for the ARC! ARC received in exchange for an honest review
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Logan and Sadie’s story. Logan is a hardworking, charming player, who does not believe in relationships, and when his sister must go into hospital, she entrusts her son Mason into his care. Sadie is Mason’s nanny, and there is an instant attraction between them which is sizzling and undeniable, and when he needs a fiancé for a business deal, he knows who to ask. This is a well written story which is filled with fun, witty banter, humor, love, and is an entertaining and all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
The Big Charmer is the second book in the Big Boss series and can be read as a standalone. This is an office, fake fiancé romance.
Logan is a self proclaimed bachelor, who doesn’t do relationships. When he agrees to watch his nephew for the summer, he decides to hire a nanny for help. In walks Sadie….when Logan needs someone to play his fiancé, Sadie agrees. When the lines start to blur can Sadie show Logan what he’s been missing or will Sadie end up broken hearted?
Sadie is a sweet and sassy. She keeps Logan on his toes. The chemistry between the two is immediate. This story is charming and entertaining.
An okay read. Ambles along quite nicely at times but then just seemed full of sex scenes. Wasn’t a fan of Logan and Sadie seemed an okay character who was acting as nanny temporarily. She’s adamant she’ll not waste time on guys who don’t want to get married yet starts a relationship with Logan. No real angst just a guy who realises maybe there’s a different future for him. Was just an okay read.
