I just finished this amazing book by John Watson and I am certain it will give me nightmares. That being said, I enjoyed every spine tingling moment of the action packed read. I can honestly say horror isn't my first choice I one click, but with this author I make an exception. He writes the scenes so vividly I could see every creature in this story like they were standing next to me. I can't wait for more.
I loved how the book starts off with the Aswang from a previous book. She is such a creepy character, and I was anxious to see if Drake and his crew would be able to capture her. Things continue to get more intense as the crew arrive back at the warehouse. What should have been a smooth transition quickly goes bad.
The introduction to Raven and the other creatures was amazing! Watson does an excellent job describing the prison placing you right in the story. When Rebecca learns about her real mother things really get crazy. Learning about her backstory was interesting and surprising.
This was such an intense book that keeps pulling you in. I can't wait for book two to see what goes down at Alcatraz.
This next story after Cradle Robber was intense and shocking. I loved the flow and all the twists and turns. The ending absolutely left me hanging and needing Salem's next book!
I totally forgot I had this book to read and could now kick myself for waiting so long. An amazing read with so many twists and turns. I look forward to reading more and getting to know Rebecca more. Great writing.
Excellent! Characters were relatable and the book flows very nicely! I'm anxious to see what happens next. From the descriptions, it's easy to imagine how everything looks - the tale keeps your interest and then some! Bravo! Long live Watson's monsters!
