1: I enjoyed the book, I’d never read a shifter book like it. Black ops guy picks up first time escort and she ends up being his mate. I wish there was more world building from the shifter side of things. 3⭐️
2: Reina was a bit of a strange character to me in some ways. She was totally confident and sure and then swung to mouse with no self assurance. It would seriously suck though to have your boss try to break you up with a guy (who is also royally screwing up) then holds you hostage for said guy. The whole “mate and you’re out of the ops” thing makes sense but if I was Jason I would be going nuts not knowing how the case finished. 2.5 ⭐️
3: First time that the FMC is a shifter. I’m glad that their animals were brought into this book more. It was feeling like they were sort of there and nudging them but they didn’t feel like major entities. I think Jax got super lucky with Lori. He was such a jerk at the beginning just because she’s a politician and then his behaviour potentially screwed her over. Not to mention it was probably easier to get to her away from the safe house. She was very understanding frankly. If she wasn’t a shifter and couldn’t truly understand his impulses then I think he would be done. 3⭐️
4: I’ve never read a shifter book with a chimpanzee shifter. I’m not totally sure how I feel about it. As far as the characters go, I’m glad that Zane admitted to being a coward. Wanting to avoid pain is understandable but don’t cause pain in your attempt to avoid it. Shifter deadly illness was a surprise. I’m wondering what the ops team is going to do now that they’re down to two. 2.5 ⭐️
5: I found this one a little boring. It felt like most of the book was Jessica wishy washing and second guessing herself. It just felt like it was being harped on so it was hard to enjoy even the parts where they were having a good time because within two pages she was back to this is a mistake, no one holds my attention, I shouldn’t bother. As a character she just annoyed me and we never really got to know Neo. Nothing about his background, personal history etc. I just wanted more. 2⭐️
6: Okay so neither of the MCs in this book handled anything well. Now to be fair they both had quite a shock, Leon particularly but still! Kitty is adorable but that Rogers guy is totally cracked. Like his brain capacity and logical reasoning is absolute garbage. Who kidnaps a kid to try to get the mother’s attention and then actually believes the mother will willingly marry him? Anyway at least all the characters ended up where they should be and the final bit with Kitty bringing Leon pancakes was adorable.

Review of Black Ops Mates
I truly enjoyed each book in the Black Ops Mates series.
Each guy had assignments that lead them to their mates.
This one of the few books where the shifters are lions.
The interaction with their mates was different for each guy.
This book made me believe that the government really does
use shifters for special government services.
I liked that the women were all strong and brave.
These guys knew how to please a woman. The sex is very hot.
The author was very good at making each guy’s story very interesting.
The sex was in appropriate places. They didn’t just stop and have sex.
These stories will keep you interested throughout.

Great collection
I really enjoyed the concept of black ops shifters finding their mates and getting their HEA. I was initially concerned that this collection would be repetitive as I have found other collections to be but each book was stand alone and had enough character building to be interesting and entertaining. I will definitely be getting more books by Ruby Knox. It would also be awesome to have a follow up book to see where these families end up. I hope they would retain their brotherhood ties. Looking forward to exploring more of Ms. Knoxx's books.

Each story was unique, with intrigue, mystery, danger, and stubborn men and women. And of course steamy sex as you'd expect with shifters as they find their mates!

Great read
I really enjoyed this book, it's always good to read a complete series and when it's all in the same book, it is a lot easier to do! A collection of romantic stories where a group of sexy shifter men each find their true mates, lovely reading.

Great stories
I loved the group dynamics. Knoxx crafted a really great series with these black ops shifters. I couldn't wait to see how each man's story ended, but was sad it was over.

Nope after first book only made it to chapter 2 page 22 on tablet!!!! When her friend talked her into being a prostitute so easily. Waiting tables would have gotten her money everyday. The H in this one couldn't wait to be a hoe !!!!

The writing is kind of hard to follow at times. I'm not sure why, but it just is. Good plotline overall and I like the humor between the Hunters and their future wives. Also, who doesn't love reading about lumber-snacks? 😂❤

Lion shifters are the best
All the stories are full of exciting action and adventure and shouldn't be ignored. For an escape from Life, this is definitely the way to go.
