I am left dissatisfied with how this went. Guy is married and has 3 kids. His wife and him don't seem to get along. They met as kind of a rebound. She had an ex who left her and he had an ex that cheated on him and got pregnant when he was in the army. They met up found they liked each other and got married and had 3 kids. As the story goes on the wife is being more and more rude to him. Complaining that he is still hung up on his ex-GF and that he is having an affair. He isn't and they keep fighting. The ex-GF comes to him and has to tell him something. Her daughter needs a liver transplant and she needs a donor. She isn't a match, only the father might be. Him. He was the father. When he found out she was pregnant her called her names and wouldn't let her explain. He never talked to her again. She wrote him a letter but he never read it. She married the other guy that her parents approved and his only stipulation was that she never talk to him again. I don't know why she didn't reach out to his sister or other family to let them know it was his kid and clear everything up. Anyway he gives his liver and she lives. The husband leaves her knowing that she was always in love with him.

The wife treats him worse and worse. Then he finds out that she is cheating and has been for years. The children might not even be his. He calls her and confronts her. She doesn't say much and says they will talk when she gets home. Instead both her and her lover die in a car accident. He ends up marrying the other women and they become a family. He can't bring himself to check to see if the children are his. This was a very unsatisfying ending. What was the wife thinking? Did she ever love him? Was she going to leave him? Did she feel remorseful? Why did it seem like she hated him? Nothing was resolved but he ends up living happily ever after.

ps: I just reread this book and think my original review covers it. As a bit of a teaser: in this case, the B burns herself.

Original Review

This is the first book I’ve read from this author, and it will be my last. I was expecting a good Burn the B story. It wasn’t that.

It was a short melodrama. It’s fairly well written and edited, but more a teenagers fantasy than a real book.

The weak 3 Stars was because of the writing and editing. The story itself didn’t rate that highly for me.

Another great read. Wonderfully threaded tale with appropriate (in my opinion) consequences.
Looking forward to more like Suspicious Spouse and Cheating on Husband.
A little more detailed descriptions of erotic sex activity would be cream to the very edible pie.

Just read the book a second time! Oh, its fun getting old! I can read the same book every year and still be unsure of its conclusion.
