The premise of the story...I thoroughly enjoyed...However, there are some things that took place in the story that I definitely wasn't fond of....In addition, where is a 14 year high school freshman able to drive her mother's car to school? There were just inconsistencies in the story. All of Morae Brehon's character's sound the same and have a southern accent whether they were southern or not...Leon did a great job narrating the story.

Whew baby!! Amos and Chris’ story was one that I didn’t know I needed. When I read Duke and Urvi’s story I was like Ummmmm I’ll pass on a story about Amos! Boy was I wrong! This is a slow burning enemies to lovers and when I say enemies I mean ENEMIES! These two HATE each other. They are forced under the same roof when her ex hires Amos to kill her. He is forced to decline when Duke puts his foot down and told that now he will be the one to protect her. While protecting her they begin to fall for each other. This was a journey to love I didn’t realize would have me in a chokehold like it did! Chris is dealing with so much trauma and the more Amos realizes just how damaged she truly is, the more he wants to save her… but saving her from herself is proving harder than he thought…. Drama is all through this book. Between her parents, Crime, Zach and Fatima idk who has f$&&ed her over more.

Enemies to More

Christina and Amos had been arch enemies for over a year, but they had to come to grips that they were family. I honestly enjoyed them more than Urvi and Duke. Their connection just felt more genuine.
Christina was loyal, protective, fun, carefree, and deeply troubled. Her life was forever changed at 14 and was the beginning of a traumatic childhood that she struggled to get over. Her parents were trash, the way they involved her into adult mess was too much. They made it very easy for her to go into an extremely unhealthy relationship with Crime. He basically groomed her to be and do whatever he asked....for years. He broke her confidence all the way down to the point where she was completely dependent on him. Urvi was there for her as usual and helped her get back on her square. In the present Crime, Christina's ex is causing drama and Amos is protecting her. The hate they have for each other turns quickly as they get to know each other.
Amos the hotheaded, shoot first think later, fine, wealthy baby brother of Duke surprised me. I actually really liked him. This man was full blown in love with Christina and had no idea. He too grew up with an absent parent and it seemed to stunt both him and Duke's relationships with women. Everything he said he had no time for, he began making time for. He had a hard exterior, but he was soft for her.
They were both full of attitude and fiery that you could feel it jumping off the pages. Yes to this pairing. Ready for the next book!

Amos and Christina

It's good to see them in a different light. Because we all know how they acted in the Urvi and Duke's story. They both have their flaws with them but there is no judgement or throwing it in each other's face. Zelda is legit funny for real but her and Christina are funnier together. Christina definitely had a difficult life but the saying out of sight out of mind really rings true for her to an extent. Of course we all knew Crime did something but what he did was unthinkable and I can't wait to see him get what he deserves. Amos is like Duke in so many ways but sooo different. I like the smooth way they both are even if Amos is a hothead. Amos protects Christina from all harm but I have a feeling it's going switch with that ending!!!

I love Amos and Christina, a bet is a bet and she really got his name tatted lol!!! Just hoping Chris is not falling for Crime’s bullshit that he dropped at the end because, 1. Amos didn’t take the job and 2. Amos paid this dude off!
Should have killed him in that damn parking garage!!

So so happy she went to Amos after that bathroom scene! And what is with everyone talking about she needs to forgive her dad! HELL NO!

Alright I’m done! Off to book 2!

Man o man Christina has been through so much. Poor girl has been manipulated and taken advantage of by everyone except for Urvi! From the very beginning, I was drawn into the drama of her mom and dad. So many emotions around that situation but none being forgiveness😩 can’t wait to read the continuation!

Fire! Complete and absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I did not think I would love Amos more than Duke, but whewww… I think he’s taking that top spot! Can’t wait for part two. I really hope Christina doesn’t get in her own way- I know she will- but I hope Amos will be able to sex her into submission and to do what she know is right!!

Man oh man... Christina's story definitely took me on a very long ride of emotions... with lots of deep dark secrets that were revealed to show why she is the way she is... This book read at a fast steady pace and had me all in...
Christina went through a very dark time in her life starting at the age of 14... She has been spiraling out of control since then... She keeps surrounding herself with people that seem to have some type of hidden agenda... She is always putting her life in danger... She literally feels like she has no one in her corner but her best friend Val... Just when she was trying to move on from things in her past... Here comes her past knocking on her door and opening up old wounds... She has no idea how much danger all of her decisions have placed her in...
Amos is good at what he does for his family... But he kind of lives a lonely life... He is single and can be a jerk... He loves his family though and would do anything for them... And when his big brother Duke tells him to do something... He does it... This one thing that his brother just asked him to do is a hard one... Because he can not stand to be in the same room as the person his brother told him that he needs to protect...
Christina and Amos have a bad history with one another... And every time they get around one another... It is like they go out of their way to get under the other ones skin... But now with the assignment that Amos has to protect Christina... This turns out to be one wild ride...
Christina does not want to listen to all the instructions that Amos keeps giving her... But all it took was one near death experience... And she is seeing things a little differently... And she is slowly finding out that those that she opened her life to... Are not who she thought they were... And Amos is helping her to free herself of them and all the bad habits that she has... Little by little these two are growing... And the hostility that they have for one another is melting... Now just when things are starting to look up for Christina and Amos... Here is the one person that should have been dead a while ago to shake it all up again...
Well onto the next book to see if Christina and Amos will ever find happiness that they didnt know they needed or if they will just continue to go through life just living...

4.5 Stars! Amos and Christina both have trauma they are trying to forget and living to their best ability while also figuring out they don't hate each other as much as they thought originally. While Amos is cool as a fan, Christina is the wild free spirit. We learn that she has an addiction and has been coping with it all wrong. Things take a turn in this book when she discovers a new truth with her family and her ex is trying to come back into her life. It feels like she can't catch a break until Amos steps in to protect her. Amos I think realizes that Christina has had a hard time and just needs healthy ways to cope and someone who truly cares about her. Throughout the book, the bond and banter between Amos and Christina are so cute and just downright relatable. At the end of the book when I finally think they are going to make it we are left on the biggest cliffhanger with her ex popping back up and wreaking havoc. I rushing to book 2 because I need to know that they will make it and that Christina won't resort back to her old habits. Will Amos and his family make with the new news of his mother's whereabouts? Will Urvi and Duke have no drama on their wedding day? Will Christina's mom and dad relationship be the breaking point for Christina? IDK but I'm going to keep reading to find out!

Hate to love.

I was so ecstatic that Amos and Christina were getting their own book. My goodness the hate they had for each other was fueled by tension. Sexual tension. Yeah, yeah…it started because Amos shot Urvi, protecting his brother and Christina whacked him in the face 3 good times in return. Yet, in the end, that tension has to go somewhere right?

Okay, so when Christina’s past (ain’t shat ex with his lying, married behind) pop’s up trying to threaten Christina into being back with him, only Amos can protect her. What he finds out about Chris is more than he bargained for, but he is just the guy to keep her in her space of healing.

Let me honest here, I’m not 100% sure if I will read book 4 because yes, there was a cliffhanger. I was eager to read their story, but as I’ve mentioned in my previous reviews the writing is choppy. To me, the build up to the spice is chef’s kiss and then when you get there there’s a break somewhere. Like the scene is always both good and bad. It may be the way the characters always talk to each other in every book of this series. Idk. I just know for me, I had to skip through a few pages just to get back to the storyline because certain parts of the spicy scenes gave me the ick.

Otherwise, it’s definitely worth the time spent.

At times I felt that Saved By A Billionaire dragged on and I wondered how the story would end. OMG. I did NOT expect this ending or this cliffhanger. Christina Chase is a dynamic and complicated FMC, while the MMC, Amos Duke, has had a complex childhood that makes him the ideal partner for a FMC like Christina. Challenging, dark, and sad at times, Saved By A Billionaire is none of what I expected, honestly. But the engaging, medium paced story was exactly what I needed.

Note: The audiobook is pretty good. Even though I'm not a huge fan of Morae Brehon, the female narrator, the story is engaging enough that it is easy to ignore.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m conflicted about my rating. On the one hand, the story was intriguing because of all the moving parts and Christina’s background is interesting.

The prologue did its job- I was immediately locked in. But as a parent I think her parents and Mrs. Duke are deserving of whatever treatment their kids give them.

And with Christina struggling the way she has and repeatedly victimized by other terrible humans. I’m not so forgiving of her parents. They put her in their business and now trying to guilt her to move forward because they have. But have given minimal apologies for how their actions hurt her.

I don’t like how Duke handled his mom, but I understand. But at the same time, he’s doing to Amos what Chris’ parents did. Placing everything on their shoulder to fix but for selfish reasons. He doesn’t want his wife impacted. Not because Chris deserves to be safe and loved.

So because I have sooo many feelings clearly I’m invested. I’ll give it a 3. But in the next book- all is right with the world because her parent have forgiven each other I’m going to annoyed.

His FB posts meant nothing to me.

Crime and the fact doctors and her husband need to be handled expeditiously.

I don’t know what the next book holds but judging by the ending of this book I know it’s about to be some drama!
I will say this! I absolutely hate how both parents expected Christina to just forgive her dad and be ok with the fact that her mother had been seeing him since she got locked up! Her mother checked her out of school and brought her home to catch her father in bed with her best friend! She then beats the crap out of the best friend and shoots her husband. The mother goes to prison and her husband literally makes not 1 but 2 children with the best friend! They don’t end up together and now Christina’s dad is waiting for her mom to get out so they can be together! The mother did all of that in front of Christina and expects her to just forgive her dad! WHAT!? Like, what was the point of her doing all of that to the best friend and husband just to get 16 years behind bars and mentally screwed up their daughter!?! Because of all of this, poor Christina is in bad shape and has made so many poor decisions! I fault the parents! Good fictional story and definitely can’t wait to see what is going on with Amos!

I admit that I'm something of a prude. This book stretched me all the way out with its references to drugs, bisexuality, and crime. It wasn't overly distracting, however, because Christina's craziness was needed to tell this story well. I wanted to be offended, but I couldn't be.

The characters were well-developed, redemptive, and complex. I liked that Amos was a good guy assassin whose ruthlessness didn't bleed into his personal life with Christina.

Miss J's books are long, but you don't get bored with them. I read four of her books within a couple of weeks given the high-quality writing and the fast-paced stories. I will read Miss J's books again and again and again.

SPEECHLESS!! 🖤🖤

This was so good!!! I’m glad I didn’t listen to the people who said this was slow and not as good as Stolen. This story is layered. The pacing is exceptional. It keeps you guessing. Amos is giving everything. Christina is complicated, but you want her to win. Character development is great! I need some of the bad guys to start dropping. 😬😬 AND this cliffhanger has me sweating. 😭😭😭 I gave Stolen 2.5 stars. Saved is definitely 5 stars. I hope part 2 is just as good.

Wow!!

Christina Chase has been through hell, with her mom committing an almost murderous crime due to being a scorned woman, to dealing with so many addictions and then along comes her arc nemesis Amos Duke. Her ex boyfriend Crime trys to hire him to take her out but since she's the best friend of his brother's fiance, he is directed to protect her. Just when everything is falling into place, the ex shows up! What will happen next??? I have to keep reading! Great series so far, love the Duke men!!

This deserves more than 5 ⭐s

Amos and Christina had more all over the place emotionally! Baby I laughed, cried, and hollered!! Especially when Zelda called Christina a bald headed b😂😂 Christina has had a rough childhood and I'm glad she had Urvi there for her. Crime deserves to be in somebody backyard buried. He preyed on a little girl and used her brokenness against her. I hope Amos handles him soon.

Here we go again

I really just wish the story was longer...it sucks to wait for part2. I really hope it's ready for next month, like the suspense of trying to figure out what happens next make me tired. I hope Christina don't stay and things work out.

This was a great story and beautifully written. I enjoyed seeing what previous characters were up to as well. Miss J can we get part 2 on by the end of the month. I need to know what happens next.

Hurry Up, Miss J.!!!!

Miss J., I STRONGLY disliked Amos Duke in "Stolen By A Billionaire." Christine didn't hit him hard enough when she clocked him upside the head in the Dunkin Donuts' drive through!!!😆😆😆 The younger Duke was an ice cold killer who loathed Christine (as did his pet bird), but he became her reluctant protector and soon her devoted lover. Please hurry with the conclusion (or the next installment) of their smoking hot and exciting story!

Damn. A Part 2???

Really??? A part 2?? So the book is excellent, I just don’t want a part 2. If there’s a part 2 then that means they’re not getting together right now and I want them both to go ahead and get tog. They both have been through so much that I just want them to get together already. I would prefer for them to face adversity together and not apart. Christina is so fragile, I don’t know what to say about what’s coming next.

Caught Up

Saved By A Billionaire is an exciting read and I loved it!
Amos and Christina are just as explosive and wild, being friends as they were as enemies. There are so many layers to them as individuals and their story that it couldn’t fit in one book.
I’m not sure where the author is heading with the next book in the Billionaire/Duke Saga, but I’m riding along with her.

Well done Author Miss J.
