Erin is a 27-year-old product director who's heard it all: hard-to-get, picky, impossible, too ambitious, and worst of all, too old to still be single. Unwilling to compromise for the sake of society’s standards, but desperate to break away from the endless cycle of blind dates her aunt imposes on her, she sets out with a hidden agenda for a contract boyfriend. With the right partner, it’ll be perfect—none of the emotions, drama, or responsibilities of a real relationship… or so she thinks!
4 stars objectively. I went into this thinking it was gonna be a throwaway cheesy romcom, but it handled the leads very maturely. It was very refreshing to see the characters actually being smart and communicating with each other in a realistic way. I loved the FL. Normally romance webcomics tend to have the FL be more passive but Erin was the one initiating and playing the more active role most of the time. She's smart and capable in her own right as well. The comic was also genuinely hilarious. My only complaint was that I wanted Erin and Harriet to have more interaction (since Harriet is hinted to like Erin, and both Henry and Erin are hinted at to be bi).
Knowing the FL Ex's back story just made me hurt. For some people it may be something that they like, BUT IT JUST HURT ME HUHU WHY ARE WE HERE JUST TO SUFFER.
