Bodhi is sick of life in the city, being a famous actor, so has come back to Deep Hollow to rest and recuperate. But his brothers are not happy to see him - and one of the first people he runs into is McKenna. They have past history, and he meeting does not go well - so why cant he stop thinking about her?
McKenna has come home to Deep Hollow as a famous photographer - but she has a secret - she is in hiding from the Baker family - Zane wants to claim her, an act which would make his family very rich - but it isnt whar McKenna wants.
Will Bodhi and McKenna be able to work through their differences? What will happen when the Bakers come to Deep Hollow to try to steal her away?
Loved it!

During their adolescence and in a not very relevant situation, McKenna and Bodhi not only lost control but also the friendship that united them and in a way that seemed irremediable. His friends still wonder why they were so angry with each other. It was obvious to everyone that McKenna and Bodhi needed to deal with their situation and fix it. Drama, mixed emotions, some action and suspense, friends and family, enemies, romance and passion in this story. I found McKenna's type of shifter interesting and liked the intervention of the friends, how the family drama was dealt with and outcome of the confrontation. Voluntarily reviewed this copy that I received free from Booksprout.

This was a story of intense emotions, drama, suspense and danger from the past. Their chemistry was off the charts, though, and that fact helped carve the winding journey to an HEA. Thankfully, they were able to give their second chance a real go. Good fun!

I thought it was a joke. ............

First, let me say that the first six books in this series were very well written, had well developed characters, and very few grammatical errors. Then came Superstar Bear. I swear, from about a quarter of the way through the book, I thought maybe I bought the wrong book. I thought this had an excellent blurb, a great storyline. I was so looking forward to Bodhi's story. I think I'm still in shock at how badly this book was written, how horribly edited. I'm convinced that I bought either a completely unedited book, or somebody hijacked her manuscript, and rewrote the book their way. This book reads like it was written by a Middle School student, or by someone that English wasn't their first language. I'm so disappointed in this book. I never write negative reviews, ever. If I don't like a particular book, I simply don't write a review at all. Because to be fair, someone else may just love it. But this book was so badly written, the grammar so bad, with full pages of word salad, it was so distracting I couldn't concentrate enough to read it. It took me 3 DAYS to get to the end, instead of 3 hours!!! I just don't understand. J. K. Harper is an excellent writer, and I will absolutely continue to read her work. I just pray that this book was an aberration, and the next one will be more like her normal style of writing, and please God, much better edited. I hated to do this, but this one I just couldn't let go. I swear, I think I'm still in shock!!!!!

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Silvertip Shifters series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. One warning buckle up….it going to be a wild ride with twists & turns, ups & downs, around in circles backwards & forwards so buckle up. Bodhi sexy as all get out famous face but tired of it all the celebrity life so leaving it behind and heading home to the quiet town of Deep Hollow just to recover/reset. Mckenna famous photographer returned home after some hurt and she to is trying to recover/reset. Bodhi and Mckenna use to be good friends but due to a falling out putting a wedge between the two of them causing them to not talk again. All their friends could see the issues and decided to put them in the same room via a photo shoot to get the ball of communication rolling Mckenna do not like it one bit but will /do they start to work on their issues, wonderful friends & family that see they belong together, threats, twists & turns, but above all love so can they find their own happiness?

Such a sad disappointment from this usually great author.
I found this easy to put down and forget about as it didn’t engage me at all.
Wow, how absolutely childish these two behave.
It was really starting to annoy me as it just went on too long with no explanation, just a few hints of why they kept shouting at each other every time they met.
And then when we are told the why, it was so ridiculously stupid.
It truly felt like these two had never grown up.
McKenna thinks some really nasty stuff at times and Bodhi was in denial big time.
Then all of a sudden, they are in love and having lots and lots of sex. Pages of sex.
The whole movie star part was weird too, when Bodhi keeps referring to himself as, his famous self, and looking at his social media pages.
I can’t think of anything more stupid to do than worry about social media comments by strangers.
Then the big fight ending with the lion group was just so disjointed and confusing.
I actually wondered at the end if Ms Harper had written this. It had a totally different vibe and didn’t read as well as her books usually do.

Kind of Bland . . .

McKenna Thompson, now a photographer, came back to Deep Hollow to avoid a frightening situation from her past she wanted no part of. Bodhi Walker, who had left home to become a well-known movie star, is tired of the back-biting and drama celebrity brings. So he has also come back home. McKenna and Bodhi had not been on good terms when they parted and that hasn’t improved.

McKenna has been hiding from the Baker family who plan to become wealthy when they have possession of a very rare phoenix shifter. Now that Zane Baker has finally caught up to her, he will try to force her to accept his claim. Will Bodhi stand beside her and defend her from Zane? Will Bodhi and McKenna finally realize they are mates? And will the townspeople step up to take care of their own and push the Bakers out of their town?

Some parts of the story sounded a bit juvenile. The Bakers especially sounded like bullies on a playground but with no one taking them seriously. The confrontation was fairly weak and not convincing.

Bodhi returns to Deep Hallow to get away from his fans and encounters McKenna again.
Superstar actor and bear shifter Bodhi Walker has got worn down by the way his fans constantly follow him around so he returns to his home in Deep Hollow. Heading out early he arrives at Mountain Muffin just as it opens and greets his friends their orders a coffee and some cookies but as he turns away he bumps into someone. His hot coffee spills over himself and McKenna Thompson the woman who was once his friend but has hated him since they were teenagers. Mckenna is a photographer and had returned to Deep Hollow to get away from a frightening experience and has been annoyed since she found Bodhi had also returned.

Bodhi comes back home to Deep Hollow from LA to find his way again. When he originally left he became a Hollywood superstar. He missed home but his brothers aren't talking to him. Ty, a fellow superstar, comes back for a visit after hearing that McKenna is back. She returned home as well after becoming a very well-known photographer. Bodhi and McKenna were very good friends once ten years ago but had a falling out. They both really do not like each other now. Ty cunningly organises a photoshoot with McKenna, but adds Bodhi to the shoot, which McKenna does not like at all. Old friends who hate each other. A stunning specimen of a man. A gorgeous woman. A bear shifter. A phoenix shifter. Lots of brothers. Two famous hot movie stars. A threat. A battle. And lots of love. Unfortunately there were a lot of errors though so hopefully they will be fixed.

This book 7 in The Silvertip Shifters Book Series is a steamy, standalone, shifter romance story with a strong and sexy alpha male and a Mate who in hiding. This well written book has characters who are very well constructed with well-developed histories and personalities. This has an amazing storyline and good love scenes. The characters in this book are well constructed with issues which they overcome and the characters grow throughout. A must read.

My least favorite 3.5

This storyline had a lot more potential than what came out. There was so much hate and anger and hurt feelings it just went on a little too long at the beginning of the story in my opinion. Then suddenly his brothers have a talk with him and everything is just perfect and they’re in love?! He should’ve realized it without his brothers telling him but it would’ve been nice if it happened earlier without so much negative energy at the start of the book. Also, the editing was horrible! Incorrect words and sentences that made no sense were all throughout the story. I found the poor editing a big distraction.

The storyline is really exciting, really good characters new and old. I had a hard time really getting into the story Bodhi and McKenna acted and fought like teenagers, with silly name throwing. I read an unedited version, but there were many repeated sentences, meaning the same but written differently. It almost felt like the book wasn't written by J.K., but someone trying to imitate her 2ork, the writing style was off which threw off the whole story for me. I give 4 stars because the storyline and characters are there but the childish verbiage, repeated incomplete sentence need polishing.

Another fun read in the Silvertip series and this time we get Bodhi and McKenna's story They have both returned to Deep Hollow wanting to lick their wounds McKenna is trying to escape Zane baker who wants to mate her and take over her wealth While Bodhi has had enough of life in the city as a famous actor These two where friends when they where younger and everyone knew they where meant to be together but a misunderstanding drove them apart When they reconnect it doesn't appear that things are going to improve at all. Can these two friends put aside past differences and admit that they are really meant to be together It will be an action packed ride as they find their way back together

Superstar Bear: Bodhi is book seven in the series Silvertip Shifters by author J.K. Harper. Entertaining tale of second chances- back home was supposed to be healing yet everyone is not so happy that Bodhi is home. Sanctuary that’s what coming home was meant to be at least for McKenna but running into “him” all the time doesn’t feel so peaceful. Some think they protest to much- maybe it’s more than just anger.
Soon the things heat up and love could be in the air - and wouldn’t you know it here comes trouble.
Enjoy!!

What to say about werebear Bodhi . He is one sexy super hot piece of man you will fall in love with him. McKenna moved back to deep hallow to get away from her past. Bodhi is a movie star who retreats from the lime light to go back to deep hallow away from all the drama that goes with being a celebrity. McKenna and Bodhi hate each other until McKenna's past comes back to claim her they have to work together and ultimately passion so hot flares between them. Will they realise that they are fated to each other.
There is action and steam in this story and it is worth reading .

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Superstar Bear: Bodhi by J.K. Harper. This is the seventh book in the Silvertip Shifters series. I enjoyed this read. Bodhi and McKenna have known each other since they were kids. At each others throat since an unfortunate incident in their teen years turned their friendship into a hate fest. When Bodhi comes home from LA and runs into (Literally) McKenna, it seems old hurts haven't gone away, they have actually gotten worse. This is an entertaining story of letting go of the past. A great anytime read that has deliciously steamy moments. Mature Readers Only Please.

McKenna has left her past and come home to Deep Hollow to live a quiet life. Bodhi is a famous movie star and has come home to Deep Hollow to get away from the celebrity world. One of the first people he runs into is McKenna. Bodhi and McKenna were friends in school and then they had a falling out, causing them to start hating each other. Will Bodhi and McKenna be able to work out their problems? I really enjoyed this book and it’s a good addition to this series.

Getting over the past to see the future.

Bobbi & McKenna > he moved away to become a star, but soon return home cause of the pressure of frame Then he ran into her they knew each other from high school but now hate each other. She came to start her shop and find some peace, it then she runs into him and all she remembers is the anger/hate for him, but can they go on like this? The characters will take you through twist and turns throughout their story to find their fated mate.

Superstar Bodhi returns home to get away from the fame portion of his life. McKenna is there trying to quietly restarting her life. The characters and storyline suck you in to the entertaining world of Deep Hollow. Plenty of surprises and twists that keep you glued to the pages. The romance takes a while to get started, along with a little prodding, but it soon ignites. Loved all the variety of shifters and the locale was wonderful. Sorry to see the series end.

I liked this one, but it wasn't my favourite of the series, the characters had a history that they had to get over before they could have a future but it just seemed to be dragging the story down. The characters are well-drawn and at first, I thought this one would be a five-star read but I'm sorry to say that it missed the mark for me. It's the seventh book in a series I normally love. I will certainly read more because this author has talent.

I love this series. Brodhi is back in town and literally runs into his old friend McKenna. They soon are back to their old ways are bickering and arguing. When will they realize that they are meant for each other like everyone else has figured out? This is a fun read with steam in it of course. Enjoy the Saga of these two, I did.

A shifter romance with small town and Hollywood style. Bodhi is a famous actor but his hometown is calling to him. The peace and the ability shift into his bear whenever he wants. But he also misses his friends and family. McKenna has returned home too. But running into Bodhi is the one things she hoped to never happen. The one time friends and have been enemies for years. Can they find peace to share the town they both love?

McKenna and Bodhi had been friends in school but they had a falling out so they couldn’t stand each other. Bodhi left home and became a movie star and she is a renowned photographer. They had to live in the same town so they made up and found they were mates. Another fight came the town but they won! Loved this book!

This is part of a series but it can be read as a standalone. They were close friends until they had an argument in high school. Now they get mad everytime they see each other. Since they both moved back home they have to figure out a way to be around each other since it is a small town.
