But on the road trip from Chicago to New York, her mother confesses that Laura’s father, previously unknown, is a popular television host of a beloved adventure show called Adventure Trek, and also one of the wealthiest men in the country. Suddenly, a world of opportunities opens up for Laura, along with an admirer who just happens to be employed by her father. Girls in the City: Laura - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

Having learned who her famous birth father is (after 23 years as the daughter of impecunious single Mom Crystal), Laura Long determines to go to New York to confront him...but how does his reaction stun her? Will she accept his offer?

Laura's life becomes ever more complicated as it turns out her stepmother is none other than Pam of Babylon, which brings a whole range of complex relationships into play. Who's Will and when does Laura use her law degree to start a PI business and start her own family in Babylon?

Suzanne Jenkins's exquisite novel of love, lies, secrets and families, draws you into a realistic tale of life and how it never quite turns out the way you think it will!

The author needs to find another job besides writing books

Incest, prostitution, alley cats, too many plots, totally unbelievable. Actually the rating should have been a negative five. Can't believe I actually bought this book

city girl to Oceanside

Way to go from city to ocean, it’s a good read with criminal invading part of the book. Romance provided and a mystery in the mix. I am sure you will love it, get the book and read it yourself.
