Not so good. The Satanist, Monkey On My Back, all the big stories here were subpar at best. A couple smaller ones were all right, but it still drives the averages down.
Another fine collection of Dredd stories. Some good, some bad. But a middling period for dredd I feel. One for the completists.
That final Garth Ennis story though? Absolute trash. Really bad characterisation of Dredd. I get the call back to the earlier, more black and white dredd but he has Dredd straight up murdering other judges. Ridiculous.
Anyway, it’ll join my shelf of other complete case files. But I won’t be in a rush to re read this particular volume.

Not many standout stories in this collection. The Orlok one is strangely muted and low key for the end of such a major character. The Satanist is ok, even if Vienna is just a plot device. Garth Ennis's final Dredd story is just pish. A real misfire. After all this time he has no idea how to write Dredd...
Phartz did make me laugh, and some of the shorter stories are good. But overall this isn't a strong Case Files volume.
Not so solid collection this time. Really good art by King Carlos, but stories were very mix bag. Surprisingly Garth Ennis still does not get Judge Dredd and Satanist-story felt too long. But Phartz one was really funny.
