Sometimes it sucked being the oldest.

Griffin had been the oldest of five kids, and even as an adult, those traits still stuck. Responsible. Reliable. Always taking care of others.
Moving into an apartment in old Victorian home, he longed to expand his custom home refinishing business, but found himself still taking care of others. The older woman who owned the building. The eccentric neighbors on the first floor. And the woman who lived across from him. Especially her. She was tempting but too free-spirited for her own good.

Sometimes it sucked being the youngest.

Caitlyn McBride had been the youngest of six kids, and even as an adult, she still felt like the last one to experience life. Teaching in a high school and living in an apartment in an old Victorian home, she was finally living the life she envisioned. Almost. The grumpy new neighbor across the hall was seriously cutting into her joy.

But things in the old home are not always what they seem and the two have to join forces to keep their home, and themselves safe.

As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.

My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.

My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.

I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

I had so much fun writing the last Hope City book! Caitlyn, the youngest McBride has watched all her siblings and the King siblings find love... now it was her time!
I needed to make her hero different. Not law enforcement. Not enamored of her immediately. And not a smooth operator!
Griffin is the perfect hero for the irrepressible Caitlyn!

The final chapter

A great final chapter for the City of Hope series. I sm really glad the book did not finish thevwaybi was expecting I prefer this ending so much more than I was expecting.

I really enjoyed the story of Griffin and Caitlyn McBride. Caitlyn is the youngest of the McBride and Kings clan. She is also the final single member of both families though due us happy for her siblings and extended family she can't help but feel a little jealously. Griffin is the perfect counter to her spontaneous and optimistic nature. Proving opposites attract. I did enjoy the fact that there might be soneobd out there that can put their foot in their mouth more times than me.

One of the things I really liked in this book is courage shown by one of the supporting characters, definitely proving not all heroes wear uniforms. I also liked the the part of doing the right thing morally vs the letter of the law. This is a great final chapter.

High school teacher Caitlyn is the last single McBride sibling and has had her fair share of blind dates and firsts dates and just wants to find a guy worthy of a second or third date.

Capella Construction owner Griffin gets off on the wrong foot when he first meets Caitlyn and really has to work to to correct a bad first (second and third) impression.

I love this final book in the Hope City series. There is a bit of suspense and mystery and oh so many red herrings. I was definitely kept guessing right up until the end.

“Heroes are everyday people, going about their everyday business, who step in and do something extraordinary for someone else.”

I’m a little sad to see the series come to an end but look forward to discovering more books by these authors.

A great farewell in the Hope City series that spotlights siblings and friends from two different families that are more than just neighbours…they are family. The final spotlight is on Caitlyn, the youngest in the McBride family, a teacher who is well respected amongst her peers and students. She sees Griffin for the first time in a not so pleasant circumstance, and the next couple of times don’t go as well either. Griffin has his own construction company that specializes in restoring older homes to their natural glory, he is smitten with Caitlyn and after a few misunderstandings, he will need to show and prove to her, he is all in. While they get to know one another, Caitlyn is caught up in a problem with drugs in her school and Griffin has been dealing with thefts on his work sites. Together they unravel the two mysteries which hit close to home.
A great end to this series and in my opinion, saving the best for last. Caitlyn, even though the youngest was not a spoiled princess, she is kind, gentle and loving. Griffin, who happens to be the oldest in his family, is strong and a protector through and through. These two had sparks and I LOVED how Caitlyn stuck to her guns where Griffin was concerned in the beginning and how Griffin proves to her that he is worth another chance. The story flowed beautifully with steam, love, some suspense and best of all great characters, including past characters from the previous books.

Adored this book

I absolutely adored this book. The characters and the storyline are so relatable. Griffith and Caitlyn could literally be your next door neighbors. Throw in the chemistry, slowburn, the twists, and the banter you have it all. The supporting characters add so much and all though it is completely a standalone catching up with characters from previous books in the series is always a bonus. Definitely a recommended read

This is an awsome read. I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC to review. The Hope City series is fantastic and each book in well worth reading. Griffin and Caitlyn's story is funny and sweet with enough suspense to keep you turning the pages. There are also enough twist to keep you guessing. Thank you for a great read.

This is the final story of the McBride family and it’s Caitlyn’s story. Caitlyn is the youngest McBride and though she is well loved, she is also a bit stifled by her well meaning overbearing brothers and new brother-in laws. Our other hero is Griffin Capella. Griff is the oldest of 5 children and used to being super responsible from a young age, helping his mom raise his younger siblings after his father left them. Their initial meet is really a checking each other out with no speaking, which is good for Griff since every time he speaks to her in the beginning, he puts his foot in his mouth! But they check each other out and are attracted until Griff speaks, then Caitlyn is OVER him – quickly! They end up living across the hall from one another because he is doing some renovations to the old Victorian home where she lives. She does NOT want to keep giving him chances to get to know her because he keeps putting his foot in his mouth with his misconceptions about her. Thank goodness for the sweet and lovable landlady, Margaretha! She straightens Griff out fairly quickly about how wonderful Caitlyn is and he begins to make it up to her with several sweet and simple gestures. Sparks fly and they begin to realize that they might have something special.

As they get to know one another better and real feelings develop, so does trouble around them. Caitlyn is a HS teacher and there is a background story of drugs being dealt out of her school. We see her big heart as she tries to help one of her students find a plan for his future by hooking him up with Griff as an apprentice. Griff owns his own business and is a successful home renovator, particularly old Victorian homes. He is having issues with equipment and supplies being stolen from him and is trying to figure out what is going on. It ends up with a surprising number of people in their world who are part of the drug ring and Griff’s troubles. Their story is a slow burn with both of them taking their time with figuring out how much the other matters to them. (Thank goodness Griff’s mom sets him straight!) I just LOVED their landlady because she helps them both realize their feelings for each other and how special their relationship has come to mean to each of them. This really is a story of every day people doing every day things yet having an amazing impact. They are both heroes!

This story was great – it has some twists, suspense, great characters, good humor, sweetness and heat. As always it is wonderful to catch up with the other McBrides and Kings whom we have come to love. The secondary characters were good too – most especially Margaretha! Though the story is really good, it is the ending and the wrap up of our founding Hope City families that really got to me. Watching all 11 kids find their special someone and become one big happy group makes it a bit easier to say goodbye to these characters that we have come to love. What a wonderful finale to these families and hoping that there are more Hope City stories in our future! Well done Maryann!

I can’t believe we’ve reached the end of the wonderful Hope City series and I can honestly say I’ve loved every story. Caitlyn McBride is the youngest of the McBride and King clans and she’s watched all of her extended family fall in love and find their HEA. Caitlyn now believes it’s her time to live the live she dreams of but no one she meets seems to quite measure up. Growing up as the youngest Caitlyn effectively had 10 older siblings (5 of her own & 5 next door) who always had her back whether she wanted them too or not. Growing up happy and secure, she’s now passionate about the children she teaches, leading with her heart she’s never afraid to jump in.
Griffin Capella also comes from a large family, the eldest of 5 siblings, responsibility came to him early and has remained, everyone else always comes first, he’s thoughtful and risk adverse, he never jumps in.
The sparks and chemistry between Griffin and Caitlyn are instant and she begins to believe he might be the elusive one but whenever he’s around her Griffin’s brain seems to short circuit and he ends up doing or saying the wrong thing. They say opposites attract but can these two find some neutral ground that allows them to connect and let their attraction grow into the relationship it’s meant to be? They might just find that they have more in common than teething.
Throw in some ‘interesting’ neighbours, struggling teens, drug crime, a little suspense as well as humour and romance and of course all the characters from the wonderful McBride and King families and you have an excellent read.
I thoroughly recommend Griffin and all the Hope City stories, I enjoyed them all, sad they are now finished but so happy I got to read them.
I received an arc from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This is book eleven and the final book in The Hope City Series and it is Griffin and Caitlyn's story and it is definitely a must read. All the McBride and King clan has found love all except Caitlyn and even though she has gone on dates she has just never clicked with any man but she is hoping that one day it will be her turn. Caitlyn is a school teacher and when she ends up in the ER because of getting in between a fight she sees the most handsome man and even dreams of him. Griff has his own company called Capella construction and he restores Victorian homes back to there original state which is his passion but when he sees the beautiful women in the ER and the state that she is in it takes him back to memories of his childhood but he still can't stop thinking about her. Caitlyn and Griff meet again when he moves into the apartment across from her but things don't go very well for them but they eventually get over there differences and start spending time together and that is when there chemistry gets so intense every time that they are near each other but will it turn into a happy ending or just friend's. There are twists and turns along with betrayal, loyalty, theft, danger, suspense, friendship, family, hope, love and emotional situations that have you turning the pages to see what would happen next and I couldn't put it down as it was so addictive and full of action. Maryann Jordan is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and the depth of her stories and characters are what keeps you on the edge of your seat and going back to read more of her books and I can't wait to see what she writes next as everyone of her books are absolutely amazing and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this book.

This is book 11 in the Hope City series and while it can be read as a stand alone, I would read the previous books just because a lot of the characters have been introduced in previous books and the relationships have been seen in them from the start. In this one we get Caitlyn and Griffin's story. Griffin is the oldest of his siblings. The traits he learned from being the oldest have stuck with him through adulthood, being responsible, reliable, and taking care of the others. Now he owns his own business restoring old houses and dreams of expanding. Caitlyn is the youngest and even as an adult she feels like she is still treated like a kid. But she is finally getting her life to where she wants it. She is teaching like she has always dreamed and lives in a beautiful victorian house. Except for the grumpy new neighbor. But she truly gets to know him, she finds out there is more to him than the first impression.

I absolutely loved this story! Griffin makes a horrible first impression with Caitlyn and it just made him seem more believable to me. Top that off with how he acts when they start getting to know each other and it just made me love him even more. He is not your typical hero. He is kinda grumpy and definitely doesn't know how to be suave with women, but I loved that about him! Caitlyn is this sweet woman who will do anything for those she believes in or thinks deserves a chance. She is always willing to help out, and isn't afraid to go out of her way for people. Throw they together-it makes for a beautiful relationship and story! I'm sorry to see this series ending as I really enjoyed it. I am always hopeful that there may be more because there were characters that were introduced that I would love to see more of!

We end the Hope City series with Caitlyn McBride's story. The youngest of her siblings who has had a whole lot of first dates that she never wants a second date. Caitlyn has everything she wants a great job as a teacher and a cute apartment but what she doesn’t have is a partner for life. Griffin, the oldest of his siblings who had to grow up fast to help his mother has been too busy starting up his home restoration business to have a girlfriend. But just one look between Caitlyn and Griff in the spur of a moment makes each of them long to meet each other.

Fate just happens to step in and throw Griffin and Caitlyn together if Griff can stop putting his foot in his mouth and his worries out of his mind. Even if they have much in common they start off rocky, but with Griff's persistent they begin to see each other for who they really ae.

As Griff tries to figure out who is stealing his building materials, Caitlyn is hard at work helping an 11th grader find the path to his dreams. Caitlyn, her colleagues, school district and the police are concerned that there seems to be an increase in drug activity at her high school and those in Hope City.

Griff and Caitlyn’s relationship heats up along with the mysteries that surround them. This is an easy read, HEA book with 2 decent mysteries to keep you turning the pages.

I enjoyed Caitlyn and Griffin’s story which brings the McBride’s and King’s full circle!
Thanks Maryann for an enjoyable read

Griffin The oldest brother…Caitlyn the youngest sister
Their place in their respective families influenced them to be who they became as adults.
Each with experiences that shaped them, that taught them to be independent, to speak their mind and to be loyal to their families.
But both had their own struggles and felt alone, each with insecurities regardless of the love from their families.
It is a story that is emotional, romantic, and of course dramatic and the written word allows you to feel these emotions.
Its not a story of the perfect man, or perfect woman or the perfect relationship, its misunderstandings, standoffs, and forgiveness and this is what I love. They make mistakes but own them and move forward.
I especially loved Russ a young man becoming an adult who had to make hard decisions and to build a future for himself and I adore Margaretha! I think we all need one in our lives, and I absolutely loved the interactions with these characters, Russ and Margaretha became a family of sorts.
It was a true tribute to the final story of hope city.
Please grab this story and if you haven’t read the series by these incredible authors, please do … you will not be sorry.
Thank you, Maryanne.

This latest addition to the series is less mystery/action packed than others I have read, but just as sweet and touching.
It is also a standalone, but if you are familiar with the series, you have met the McBride and King families. This story belongs to Caitlyn McBride, the youngest of the McBride siblings.
Caitlyn is a dedicated, and much loved literature teacher at the local high school . When an accident sends her to the ER, she sees a man that makes incorrect assumptions about her and her injury.
Caitlyn never expected to see again the grumpy man, Griffin Capella, who continues to make assumptions, and now is her new neighbor.
As they get to know each other and feelings develop, so does the trouble around them.
From the start, the plot was engaging and the main characters as well as the secondary ones , were interesting.
The story also gave the reader a chance to “catch up” with some of members of the McBride and King families, whom we have come to love.
A good addition to an already entertaining series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

The first chapter of Griffin and Caitlyn's story packed a punch and didn't let up until the end. Griffin is a bit gunshy when it comes to relationships and Caitlyn disrupts his orderly world. They get off to a very rocky start but with some advice from his mom and his wonderful landlady, things may just be looking up. Caitlyn has had a lot of first dates but very few second or third dates. She wants what her brothers and sisters have found, not to mention all of the King siblings. Giffin is all order and Caitlyn is more chaos but in a good way. Can they find the love they both deserve? Of course but it will take some work and a bit of mystery.

I really have enjoyed this series and am sad to see it end. I have enjoyed getting to know the McBride's as Ms. Jordan has brought them to life through her descriptive words and wonderful quotes. I loved the characters in this book and Margaretha, Caitlyn, and Griffin's landlady is a gem. There are so many touching moments in this story and Ms. Jordan's former job working with students shines through in this story. “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” -Winne the Pooh.

Griffin Capella and Caitlyn McBride Story
Griffin is the owner of a construction company that restores and renovates old homes into there previous Victorian architecture. Caitlyn is an American Literature teacher at one of the local high schools in Hope City. Their meeting comes from rather strange circumstances she has been accidentally hit my a student while trying to break up a fight, he has rushed in a worker to the same ER. Griffin misinterprets what the ER doctor tells Caitlyn. As per usual Caitlyn’s family shows up on her doorstep. They continue to run into each other starting with her being woken up the morning after her trip to the ER with men delivering wood for renovation to the house where Caitlyn rents and upstairs apartment, needless to say life is going to get even more interesting for them both. Missing equipment from job sites, quirky neighbors, a meddling landlady, and possible drug issues at the high school. Another great read from Maryann about our friends from Hope City.

I was given a copy of this an ARC for my review.

The last book in the Hope City series of the McBride/King siblings is a must read! It’s school teacher Caitlyn’s turn for a happy ever after, maybe? A school fight and a punch to the eye sent Caitlyn to the hospital where she had her first glimpse of future neighbor Griffin Capella and the sparks flew. Unfortunately, the first spark was a misunderstanding, the second was a pull then push away attraction and the third was an overheard crude comment. When Caitlyn called a three strikes and you’re out, Griffin knew that he would have to work hard to at least salvage a friendship. Would Caitlyn accept him as a friend or could they possibly have more? Just as things are heating up for the couple, a drug dealing problem at Caitlyn’s school hits too close to home. Will Griffin come to the rescue in time or will he lose Caitlyn forever?

I will miss the Hope City series. Maybe Maryann Jordan and Kris Michaels will include members of the McBride/King families in a future book!

I received and ARC of this book for my honest review.

Maryann Jordan once again hits it out of the park!

This is the final book in the crossover world of Maryann Jordan and Kris Michaels in the Hope City World. Griffin is the oldest of his siblings while Caitlyn is the youngest of hers. They have spent their lives viewing things from the opposite end of the sibling spectrum, but as they say, "opposites attract."

Griffin is contractor specializing in rehabbing Victorian homes. Caitlyn is a high school literature teacher. They meet when both end up in the ER - one taking co-worker and one being injured. Although they seem to suffer from miscommunication on a regular basis (often due to Griffin inserting his foot in his mouth), they do manage to create a relationship. The story line will carry you along and you will be rooting for them both to get out of their own ways to fall in love.

I will miss hanging out with the McBride and King families and hope they appear in future books by these authors.

I was provided a copy of this ARC for my review.

What an amazing ending to this series. Griffin and Caitlyn were awesome. I really enjoyed their relationship. Griffin is the oldest in his family and Caitlyn is the youngest in hers. Griffin is the oldest of 5 siblings in his family and learned how to be responsible early. He has his own company that does restoration work. Caitlyn is the youngest of 5 siblings. She is a teacher. Their relationship has some interesting starts from their unusual meeting place to being neighbors. Griffin is always composed and thoughtful but keeps saying the wrong thing which has Caitlyn and him both wondering if their relationship will work. There are twists, turns, betrayal, theft, and suspense. There is laughter, friendship, acceptance and love. Eventually with the assistance of family and friends they realize they do have a relationship that will last. Maryann is an awesome writer and definitely keeps your attention. Didn’t want to put the book down. This book is a must read and will not disappoint you. Thoroughly enjoyed Hope City!!

Teacher Caitlyn McBride was trying to break up a fight between students when she took a fist to the face. In the ER, a handsome man was there to hear the doctor make a joke in bad taste and he voiced an incorrect assumption. Running into each other a few more times left them with the same outcome. Through it all the pair stay on each other’s minds,

Days later, they become neighbors, Caitlyn finally knows his name, Griffin Capella and he’s a contractor specializing in restorations, particularly Victorians. Meanwhile, drugs are running rampant at Caitlyn’s high school and Griffin’s job sites has been a victim of a construction equipment theft ring. The high-profile cases put the couple on the periphery of the investigations and presents opportunity to bring in the families.

To my taste, this outing was a perfect goodbye to the close families (and enjoyable comfort series). The read was stronger in suspense and everyone got a chance to wave goodbye as the series wraps.

I absolutely loved Griffin, the latest Hope City novel by Maryann Jordan. Caitlyn is the youngest McBride sibling and she is a teacher at the local high school. During an incident at the school, she ends up at the hospital. While at the hospital, she sees a stranger that she is immediately attracted to but doesn’t get his name. The next day, she is rudely awakened by work going outside her window and she confronts the men. Unbeknownst to Caitlyn, it’s the stranger from the hospital. Once again, their paths cross again and Griffin sticks his foot in his mouth repeatedly with Caitlyn. Poor Griffin keeps inserting his foot in his mouth, but eventually he figures things out and begins a relationship with Caitlyn. Unfortunately, things are happening at Caitlyn’s school and she is unknowingly drawn into the danger. I absolutely loved these characters and LOVED their landlady! I’m so sad that this is the last McBride sibling. I received an authors copy and I have left an honest review.

What a beautiful ending to the Hope City series. Caitlyn is such a strong character, which isn’t really surprising since she comes from such a strong, close family. However being the youngest she has seemed to have been stifled somewhat by caring, overbearing brothers.
In my opinion this is part of what made Griffin perfect for her. A strong alpha male who wants to believe he can succeed in his personal life as much as he is with his work life. Although he initially comes across as overbearing as her siblings he also bring a spark with him. Their chemistry is a work of art, their passion almost palpable.
Maryann Jordan has once again knocked it out of the park. She’s such a talented author and creates these beautifully enthralling rides you just don’t want to get off. I thought Maryann ended the series in a unique and heartwarming way that made it slightly easier to say goodbye to the families and characters we have come to love. Definite not to be missed. Without a doubt 5 stars!!!

I am going to hate not having a new Hope City romance to look forward to. Maryann Jordan and Kris Michaels have done an stellar job in creating a series of romances involving the siblings of two long established families from Hope City. The McBride and King clans are close knit, caring, loyal and so intertwined that they're one big extended family. I wanted to be friends with each and every one of them.

Caitlyn is the last unattached McBride or King for that matter. She has yet to find the man who leaves her breathless. She's found her passion in teaching high school and it brings her immense joy but finding her significant other is a different story altogether. Griffin Capella is both a successful businessman and an artisan. Restoring old Victorian houses is his calling. He sees Caitlyn several times before ever officially meeting her and makes some very wrong assumptions about her. When finally getting to know her, he can't seem to stop opening his mouth and inserting his foot whenever she's around. It takes some concerted effort on his part to make for his blunders but he's determined and eventually gets the girl. They get a happily ever after but along the way there's problems at her school and his business that caused them both a great deal of concern.

It always amazes me when the story shows things that can happen in real life. How many times do we meet someone and thing that they are the complete opposite of what they need or want? Yet, when they really get to know the person they are truly what they need. I find it so ironic that the oldest of a large family ends up slowly falling for the youngest of a large family. Griffin is the typical oldest child always taking care of everyone and feeling responsible for everything. While Caitlyn is the typical youngest seeming like she is a free spirit and thinks the best of everyone. It always amazes me how people can just write someone off for one reason or another before they get to know them. It was great watching Griffin realize that maybe he needs a little free spirit person in his life to even him out and show him how to life. Caitlyn sees that having another person watching over her isn't the worst thing.

Smart and Brave. This final story starts with a punch, and it's a great punch! Caitlyn's dating history is not great, there's no spark, but there is one with Griffin, but he's on his third strike with her and he's now out of luck. All Griff's bad luck made me smile as I knew how much he'd have to work to work his way back into Caitlyn's good graces. I loved the Victorian houses and construction as part of the story and don't forget Margaretha! I loved the description of Caitlyn, giving pieces of herself away each and every day and what she receives in return, even "Pure, unadorned Caitlyn." It was a slow burn kind of story but packed with quite a punch in certain spots. This story re-iterated what a hero really is, "everyday people". What a wonderful read.

I have loved all the Hope City books, and we’ve watched the Kings and McBrides find their significant others one by one. And there’s always been Caitlyn, the youngest McBride, who is slightly stifled by the protective men in her family and extended family. Her encounters with Griffin are initially less than stellar, and he works hard to overcome them. As always with Maryann Jordan’s books, this is about more than just Griff and Caitlyn; there’s Margaretha, the somewhat quirky owner of the Victorian home in which Caitlyn and others rent an apartment and where Griffin is currently living and working. And there are the other tenants, the high school where Caitlyn teaches, and, of course, the McBride and King clans who always have her back. There is suspense, there are definitely a few twists, there are enough hints to help you along, and there is a supremely happy ending.

A perfect ending to a great series!

Caitlyn and Griffin was a fun read! He may not be so good with words in their first interactions but my goodness (swoon) when he does get it togther he was so sweet! Griffin becomes Caitlyn's neighbor but seems to find mutiple ways to insult and annoy her immediately! Don't give up on him! I loved them together! I have enjoyed this series so much I really hated for it to end. In typical Maryann fashion she keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering who is doing what and why! You will not want to out this one down. I love the big family aspect of this series it created so many much humor. Caitlyn and Griffin are most definitely a perfect match and they were H.O.T fan yourself hot! I look forward to whatever Ms Jordan has planned next! Enjoy

Caitlyn finds her Griffin😍

Griffin is book eleven in the Hope City series and focuses on Caitlyn, the last single lady of the McBride Clan and school teacher with a heart of gold and Griffin, a construction owner and businessman who restores old Victorian homes😁

Caitlyn sees Griffin for the first time in the hospital when she gets checked out after an incident at the school she teaches at. They meet a few more times - it’s almost as though fate is trying to tell them something😉They eventually discover they are soon to be neighbours…I feel a romance coming on❣️

If this is the last book of the series, I’m honestly going to miss these characters and I can only hope that both authors will endeavour to give us some more stories in this City in the future with some insights into what the McBrides and Kings are up to❤️

Griffin

OMG! Another FANTASTIC story by Maryann! This one is about the baby of the McBride family and the oldest son of the Capella family. The beginning definitely had a punch to it, especially for Caitlyn. 😊 Griffin first saw Caitlyn in the ER but didn't stick around to find out her name. He met her another time but kept putting his foot in his mouth by judging her. Once he moved into the apartment across from Caitlyn, things started to heat up between the two. It was shocking to find out that Caitlyn's friends were drug dealers. Once that drug ring was busted, these two finally worked on their happily ever after! The ending of this series was perfect with the first generation sitting outside reminiscing about their lives in their two homes. I am going to miss this series. FANTASTIC job Maryann! I would highly recommend this book and series!

Josh and Caitlyn

This is the last book in the Hope City series (sob) and it is sooo good! The last single person from the McBride/King family is Caitlyn and she’s tired of going on first dates that end with her desperate to get away from them. She first encounters Griffin in the ER when she ended up there with a black eye from her efforts of trying to break up a fight between two teenage students at the school she teaches at. In more meets not so cute Griffin earns the title of Mr Gruff. Then he ends up as her neighbor. As he does some work on the Victorian their apartments are in it’s hard to avoid the hunky neighbor plus she has to deal with teaching and the drug problem at school and the strange odors from the downstairs neighbors make. This book is funny, sweet and steamy. Lots of family, friends and love.
