Hunter Rose is a Contemporary Romance author who found his love for literature at an early age. Reading everything from Edgar Allen Poe to Nora Roberts, Hunter's love for reading quickly turned into a passion for writing. After writing in a few genres, Hunter became intrigued by Contemporary Romance being the hopeless romantic that he is.
When he is not writing, Hunter finds inspiration through travelling across the world and meeting new people. Although he enjoys spending time with others, Hunter also appreciates some alone time displaying his creativity in his carpentry workshop with a glass of aged Whisky on the rocks.
Redemption by hunter was a great read. Enjoyed it. I was at the edge of seat wanting more. This is a second chance at first love. Would you risk it second time around. I absolutely love Hunter Rose's writing style. I can picture the smoke from a character's cigarette, see a young boy mimicking an old man's mannerisms, and feel the frustration both Emily and Brad feel about how things happen. I cannot wait to read more of their story. I recommend this book!

Redemption (Hunter's Heroes Book 3) by Hunter Rose is a fast paced story full of suspense, forgiveness, regrets and plenty of passion between two characters who may get a second chance at love. Brad left everything behind 10 years ago after his grandmother dies and a disagreement he had with his grandfather Stone which led him to leave everything behind. After all these years he was taken under the wing by Snake leader of a gang who has Brad doing things he no longer wants to be apart of. Brad thought by taken down one drug cartel this would be his way of walking away, but Snake has other plans for him with an assignment to meet up with a dangerous drug lord in Mexico . Even Brad's best friend urges him to leave and go back home as he tells Brad that Stone is using him. Brad now knows that Snake will never let him leave.
When he gets a call that his grandfather who he hasn't seen in 10 years is in the hospital and needs him to return home. When he tells Snake he has to leave, he is given a timeframe for his return. This story had so much emotion and witty salty banter between Stone and his tenant Emily and her precocious son Kyle whose relationship with Stone, is heartwarming as Kyle needs a father figure as his own father is an abuse drunk. One has to wonder why Emily puts up with her estranged husband and doesn't divorce him when he abuses her. When she finally meets her ex Brad for the first time all the old feelings and hurt comes to the surface as Emily can't get over the fact that Brad left her with no explanation. Now he not only has to tell his grandfather why he left but tries to make amends with Emily. As these two get close, they end up entering into a passionate relationship until she keeps pressuring Brad to tell her why he has to leave and go back to LA as she can tell he is hiding something. Brad doesn't want to go into all of the details but Emily thinks the worst and they argue. Brad who doesn't want to leave, knows that if he doesn't return Snake will hurt his grandfather Stone and Emily. Brad now has to tell his grandfather he has to leave once again, his grandfather can tell he is holding back and tells him to do the right thing and return as they have a job to do to fulfil his grandmother's wishes and open up the inn. No we are left with a cliffhanger as we have to wonder will Brad do Snake's bidding? Will he be able to walk away and return to Emily? Can't wait for the next book to find out how all of this will play out.
Brad’s boss, Snake, wants him to make a deal with the Mexican cartel on behalf of their MC club. Brad feels indebted to him because Snake took him in as a boy. But Brad wants to leave the club and his chance comes when he gets a call that his grandfather, Stone Whittaker, has had a stroke. It’s been ten years since he last saw his grandfather and Emily, the girl he left behind, the girl he still loves. And how does Emily react when Brad returns? She is now married, although separated, with a son, Kyle. How do Emily and Brad rekindle a relationship that is still alive even after ten years? And how is Brad going to finish his “indenture” to Snake and finish the job in Mexico?
This author has an insightful way of taking a love story and adding enough adventure and mystery to make you want to read his books. His colorful word choice and sentence structure help create the characters and display the mood and meaning in his text. He is a very expressive and graphic writer, describing his scenes making them real and touchable. He writes some very beautiful passages in this book, and his others, which are very poetic and lyrical.
I love Hunter Rose’s writing. His words are like a drug for me. He paints his pictures using emotion, dialogue, and conflict. And although I do not like cliffhangers, I am left hanging in this one. Anxious for the next episode!
I received this ebook ARC, from the author, on the condition that I write an honest review. This book was a short read about a man, Brad, who at a very young age, ran away from home. He ended up in California, living on the streets, and was saved by a gangster. He does the security work for this gangster, and feels obligated to do as he asks. His grandpa back home, has had a stroke, and the hospital notifies him. He comes home to see his grandfather, and he rekindles his friendship with Emily, his former best friend. Emily is now a school teacher with a son, and a worthless husband. A husband that she is trying to divorce, but he is an alcoholic, and refuses to divorce her, along with being abusive to her. She is still attracted to Brad, and they re-establish their relationship, but she senses that he will leave soon. The book ends sadly, with Brad leaving to complete his mission for the gangster. There is no HEA, just the possibility of him returning safely. I’ve read only one book written by Hunter Rose, prior to this one. The characters are well described, with a great flow to the story.
a story of 2 parts Brad left Cedar 12 years ago, leaving behind his Grandpa and Emily. He was taken under the wing of Snake who runs Vipers MC, becoming the Enforcer and involved in shady dealings, some of which he does not agree with including drug running for a physocopath drug baron in South America. His grandfather's health calls him back. Emily, now a mother to Kyle, teacher and trying to get rid of her abusive drunken husband. Previous best friend and possible future with Brad. Two distinct lives and the differences are there between them. Can they move forward together and be happy? Emily has responsibilities in Cedar and Brad has commitments to Snake..they are at a crossroads and Brad leaves again. Ends on a cliffhanger as there's a question as to him returning. Good read from this author.

This is the 3rd book in this series and is Brad and Emily’s journey. These two were inseparable as best friends growing up, until Brad suddenly leaves town without any explanation, leaving a heartbroken Emily behind. Now 10-years later Brad returns to town when his grandpa is ill, but he is not the boy who left, as his loyalty is to a biker club who got his off living in the streets. Emily is now a schoolteacher, who is married to an abusive man whom she is trying unsuccessfully to divorce, and she lives for her son. Brad and Emily reconnect but when he is called by his boss to do another job, he has no choice but to leaves again regardless of how much he wants to stay. There are many unresolved issues that need answered. This is a well written story which is intriguing and with secrets, emotions, passion, and love, which leads to a riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I really liked Emily and her son Kyle, her soon to be ex husband is a jerk and it seems like she has put up with him for too long. Brad seems to be a good guy who got caught up in a bad situation and feels he owes loyalty to Snake, head of a biker gang. Snake makes Brad do a lot of things he isn’t comfortable with. Brad’s grandpa, Stone is a character, he is a true grumpy old man, but he cares about Emily, Kyle and Brad. When Brad returns to his hometown after a 10-year absence, he reconnects with his grandfather and Emily. He and Emily start a relationship knowing that Brad must leave to do another job for his boss even though he doesn’t want to. Nothing is resolved in this book and it ends when Brad leaves to do the job, I expect a second book will have Stone and Emily in Snake’s crosshairs when he tries to leave the biker gang and we will get a resolution on the relationship between Brad and Emily.

Brad, a tattooed, motorcycle riding tough guy. Heir apparent to the mob boss is called home by his Grandfather’s ill health. It’s been ten years since the night he left vowing to never return. The only thing he was reluctant to leave was Emily.
Returning finds Gramps doing better than expected. But then , he’s a tough old bird. The big shocker was Emily and her young son Kyle living in a house just down the road that she rents from Gramps.
Emily is unsuccessfully attempting to divorce her abusive husband. Brad and Emily resume their friendship, which quickly becomes a passionate rekindled love, but Emily is angry and unforgiving of his mob life.
When Brads mob boss sends him on a dangerous assignment he leaves, planning to return, if he lives through it. Only time will tell
I received an ARC copy of this book in promise of an honest review. I’m happy to recommend it.
I have to say, this book was not my cup of tea. I couldn't warm up at all to the heroine who had all the excuses in the world for her estranged husband, a drunk and an abuser. Because he wouldn't agree to a divorce is the reason she claims they're still married - contested divorce anyone? But she is furious with the anti - hero for leaving 10 years prior due to the death of his grandmother and a huge argument with his grandfather. During an argument with her husband and the "hero" the the heroine is correcting her "husband's" poor grammar. He was roughing her up and this is how she responds? Seriously?
I didn't buy the premise of this book at all. Others may like it.

Redemption, book three in the Hunter's Heroes series follows Brad Whittaker and Emily Sullivan. Brad left home ten years ago he had no where to go until he met a gang leader named Snake who took him in and took care of him in exchange for Brad doing jobs for the gang, jobs that Brad didn't always agree with but had no choice. Now he wants to make changes, changes that will move Snake's gang into a less degrading form of illegal activities. Emily lives with her abusive, soon to be ex, husband and their son Kyle in a place they rent from Brad's grandfather Stone. When Stone is hospitalized, Brad comes back, where he runs into Emily and old feelings resurface. But will Brad be able to stay with Emily this time? Or will Snake force him to return to the life of crime he hates? The book ends on a cliffhanger, so we will need to wait to see what happens next.
Enjoyed the storyline and the characters and their connections with each other. Loved Brad and Emily's connection with each other and the fact that although they'd been apart for 10yrs they still bonded easily. Adored Grandpa and Kyle. Don't like Snake and the way he manipulates Brad and I hope Brad can sever the tie before the real bad happens. Would have liked a happier ending for Emily and Grandpa though. Although Brad had to leave, it was still a bit of a shock that he did. Thought he and Emily were heading for a HEA. I hoped he wouldn't fulfil Snakes wishes even though he felt indebted to him. Did think because he had a DEA connection he might have got them involved. Just can't believe he's heading into darkness or maybe I'm reading way ahead and there will be light at the end of the tunnel for him.
Continuation from the previous book, Broken. So yes part of a series. Although it does not have to be read in order however the introduction of characters and their entry into the story is enlightening when read in order. Brad Whittaker is introduced in Broken with Lance and Isabella. Redemption is his story and his lost love and childhood best friend Emily. To see them rekindle their relationship is entertaining and sweet. Plus I have to love old man Stone Whittaker. Emily comes across as intense and a nagger but as a mom that is justified. It is good to see a softer side to her and not just a harpy. This story doesn’t end on a cliffhanger per se, it does end on a serious note though. I received an advanced copy from the author to leave an honest review as well as offer feedback.
Redemption. This was a slow reading story. Brad gets tangled up with the wrong crowd in L.A. He is summoned back to his hometown after his grandfather has a stroke. Once back home he rekindles his friendship with Emily and they share memories as well as make more memories. But Brad can't bring himself to tell Emily what he does and why he has to leave. I kept wondering when Brad would tell the truth, but he doesn't and it may cost him a lot. I thought Emily drew some interesting lines with what she is willing to deal with from the men in her life and how different they were with each of them. She definitely deludes herself and lies to everyone about her marriage, has her son lie, and somehow thinks he doesn’t know what happens. She also has a very high horse. Brad is delusional when it comes to his relationship with Snake. Stone and Kyle are definitely the stars of the book. Cliffhanger ending. I hope Snake gets offed in the next one.
Brad and Emily were best friends in school, but he ended up doing things he's regretted. He left her. Now he's back but she's got a small son and a drunken ex to deal with. He keeps turning up at her home, she's tried the police but they know him well and won't take any action. Brad's trying to leave the gang but needs to do it without getting killed! A good suspense read of second chances, I did expect an hea though, perhaps there's an epilogue. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Brad left home as a teenager and got into a bad crowd. He's still in it but wants to get out. Something happens to his grandpa and he goes home. Emily was his love 10 yrs ago but the feelings are still there. Can he get out of the business? Will Emily finally get a divorce? So many questions. This is really good. I like how grandpa is old school but curses too much. I can't imagine going through what they do.

3.5 Stars - The story was good. The F-word was used a lot but I appreciate that I don't remember God and Jesus Christ being used in profane ways. The 3.5 stars are because of the huge cliffhanger. I hate having to wait to find out what happens. When I know there is a cliffhanger I wait until the series is complete to read it. Can't wait to see how Brad's going to get out of this mess. Without the cliffhanger, I would have rated this book 4 stars.

Get your copy and see for yourself the amazing writing of Hunter Rose. You will love this as much as I have. A must must captivating and fantastic read.
Second chance? Maybe/maybe not... The story itself has been covered in the blurb & previous reviews. I got quickly invested in this tender story of love lost, hope & the title speaks for itself. A well written page turner but the end was not what I'd hoped for & it feels unfinished. Given this is book 3 of 3 it looks like that's the end, sob! I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
