Billionaire Heists #3

Hacking Mr. CEO

Rate this book
To save the only mother I’ve ever known, all I have to do is hack a tech billionaire.

My foster mother is sick. The woman who gave me a home, love, a life. I’ll do anything to find the money for her surgery, including using my skills as a hacker.

My name’s Remi, also known as Rogue Angel, and usually I work for a security company testing clients’ systems. But now a shadowy bad guy has tracked me down and given me an ultimatum.

I have to hack Rivera Tech—the biggest technology company in the world, owned by billionaire CEO, Maverick Rivera. If I do, I get paid and I can help my foster mother. If I don’t, my family is in danger.

Hacking Rivera is no walk in the park, and soon I find myself in a tantalizing game of cat and mouse with big, grumpy, and way-too-sexy Maverick. What I never, ever expected was for him to make me feel safe, or to threaten my closely-guarded heart, or to ignite every single part of me.

I can’t drag him into my mess.

But Maverick has other ideas, and he isn’t a man who takes no for an answer.

Each book in the Billionaire Heists Trilogy can be read as a stand-alone, action-packed romance.

Hacking Mr. CEO is the third and sadly the last wonderful book in the Billionaire Heists. Another great story from Anna. It is full of action, mystery, intrigue and so much more. With an alpha male and a sassy PI, it will delight the senses. He doesn't want a woman but he may have met his match so when a woman brings this male to his knees he won't let her go but he now has to convince her. I can’t wait for the next book.

“Big Guy” Mav is so swoony. Let’s be honest here. I’m a sucker for a grumpy alpha male. Sue me.

Remi was the perfect amount of sassy smart ass. The banter between her and Mav did things to my heart. They both opened up so we’ll go each other.

I’m going to be a sexy hacker in my next life.

In the very first of the Billionaire Heists series, Stealing from Mr. Rich, the first of the “Bachelor Billionaires”, as the New York City news media calls them, found himself falling for a woman who was in way over her head – and his – with some really evil dudes who were out to rob him blind, using her as their patsy.

In the second book, Blackmailing Mr. Bossman, the second bachelor falls for a woman who seems to be blackmailing him because her bestie is being blackmailed by people who are after his money. This one was just the right book at the right time for me, as everyone who seems to be lying turns out either not to be or doing it for the best of intentions.

In the first two stories, the romance happens because the women who find themselves in these messes begin with the very best of intentions, trying their damnedest to fix a situation that they may not have broken but that they feel responsible for patching up.

None of them are damsels in distress, wringing their hands and waiting for a man to sweep in and fix things for them. They’re out there trying to fix the mess for themselves when the man they have been forced to do wrong by decides that he’s not going to sit passively by while someone evil messes with both of them.

They are on the same side after all – even if they don’t start out that way.

In this final book in the series, white-hat hacker Remi Solano finds herself donning a black hat when she learns that her foster mom needs expensive experimental treatment to remove an otherwise inoperable brain tumor. Mama Alma has less than 6 months to live, and Remi and her siblings together couldn’t raise the kind of money if they had 6 years to do it in. So she markets her only skill on the dark web, hoping to make a score that will get Mama into that expensive treatment.

And she gets in way over her head. Because otherwise we wouldn’t have this marvelous story.

Someone wants her to hack into Rivera Tech and steal the files on something called the Calyx Project. She doesn’t know who they are, and she doesn’t know what the project is, but the job pays a cool million and that’s enough to take care of Mama.

Not that Remi actually wants to hack Rivera. She’s not exactly sure that she can, even as skilled as she is. Rivera Tech has the best security she’s ever seen, which only makes sense because Maverick Rivera is a genius programmer and computer designer in his own right. And it’s his company, the extremely handsome profits from which have made him the third of the “Billionaire Bachelors”.

Although, Remi has seen plenty of pictures of the man, and she’d be more than happy to hack one of his extremely well-tailored suits right off his sexy body. Not that she thinks she’ll ever have the chance – especially not if she manages to pull off this job.

And that’s where everything gets hairy. Or goes south. Or pear-shaped. Or all of the above.

Calyx is a super-secret government project. Whoever wants Remi to steal it is planning on committing treason – or planning on Remi committing treason on their behalf. Remi’s obviously a pawn in this game, a pawn that the contractor called “The Shadow” refuses to let go of when Remi and Mav join forces.

The chase is on. The Shadow wants them both dead. They’ve become loose ends in his failed attempt to hack Rivera by proxy, and he never leaves loose ends. They’re dodging bullets and hired badasses while they try to close in on the villain who is trying to close in on them.

Meanwhile, they’re closing in on each other, even if neither of them has any expectations that the other will stay once all the excitement is over – one way or another.

Escape Rating A-: I think this was my favorite game in the whole series, making it end on a marvelous high note. I loved the hacking scenario, and the way that Remi and Mav just had a great time geeking out together.

The way the story ended, with Mav and Remi being chased by The Shadow through the entire Rivera Tech campus, read like it would make a great video game, which felt totally appropriate for a romantic suspense story featuring two geeks.

I have to say that the villain of this piece, The Shadow, was just a bit too over the top. He’s the only thing keeping this from being an A grade. I loved Remi and Mav, I enjoyed the hell out of watching them get together, and all the geekery was very much my jam. The Shadow, while extremely dangerous and deadly, had a persona that wouldn’t have been out of place in a B grade superhero movie.

Which, come to think of it, is also pretty geeky. Just not as cool as the rest of the story.

While I’m happy to see the Billionaire Bachelors all find their HEAs, I’m kind of sorry to see this series end. On my third hand, this does plenty of crossover with Norcross Security, which is clearly not done yet. After all, Vander Norcross, the boogeyman’s boogeyman as Remi called him, still has to find a woman he can’t run over. That’s going to be epic!

Well Mav brings this delicious trilogy to an end as he finally finds room in his heart for love. Everything about this book was fast paced and that definitely includes the romance between Mav and Remi the woman who tries to hack his system. Remi isn’t a villainess though as she is caught up in someone’s scheme that is about to put not only her but everyone she cares about in danger. Mav is fascinated by bold Remi and realises that by working together they can catch the mystery caller but this time they are not playing in virtual reality but actual real life with all its consequences !
It felt like the author decided to just have fun with this couple and throw everything she could think of into this book. Cute children, matchmaking mothers, defensive friends, bad guys that don’t quit and of course hot, steamy and surprisingly rapid romance. I won’t lie for me that side of things felt perhaps a little too instant as I prefer the build up of tension but right from their first conversations this couple had banter that definitely made me smile. It was fun reading about how this couple could both work and ahem play together. Most of all I liked that they very obviously respected each other’s talents. A couple of new characters appear which I’m sure the author will want to revisit when she’s found a suitable scenario for them. This book ends with very happy tears and of course leaves this reader already wanting to read more from this talented and imaginative author.
This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

4.0 | I liked the series, but I wished the other characters where more involved in all three books, just like in the Norcross Security series. And the plots where maybe a little too similar.

This review may contain spoilers, so fair warning, upon reading the review.

Introduction
In Hacking Mr. Ceo, we get the conclusion to the Billionaire Heists trilogy, although from this one, I knew there would be connecting books in other series so keep in mind of that. This world is not over. The more I read this author, the more I fall in love with her writing style. It just immediately grabs me up and I love how easily she can do that. Also as a audiobook narration, this one was so well done and I can't believe that I have slept on her audiobooks because they are superb. So if you can get the narration, I highly recommend it. I adored this one though, this hero is the grumpy one out of the three friends, and I wanted his story the most and it actually might just be my favorite. What I also loved is that the relationship conflict stayed minimal, I liked how they communicated and worked through their issues fairly quickly. I really admire that in this author, she doesn't drag out stuff that doesn't need to be dragged out.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Maverick
-Alpha Hero
-Dominant in Bed
-Billionaire
-Nerd
-Hispanic Descent?

The Heroine: Remi
-Hacker Genius
-Foster Family
-Mixed Race Descent

Summary
When Remi's foster mother, the one who took her in when no one else cared for her, ends up with cancer and the treatment is too expensive. So when she gets a offer for a hacking job that is a million dollars, she immediately accepts the offer, not realizing how challenging the job would be, the man behind the curtain or what dangers would be involved. But when Remi and Maverick clash, sparks will fly, tensions will rise and a passion will bind them in a way that they never expected. But when they realize the dangers, will them together with their friends be able to fight their enemy that hides in the dark...

My Outlook
I absolutely adored this book and its probably my favorite of the trilogy although I have enjoyed each of them in different ways. I really liked seeing our grumpy hero fall in love though. In the previous books we see how mistrustful he is of women especially and I just wanted him to get his story and see his side of it all. Anna Hackett did a brilliant job in conveying his journey. And I have to say she writes the best billionaires. They are so fun to read and definitely alpha males, so this one definitely checked off all my boxes. I adored the way in which these two interact with each other and they are both hacker nerds haha That was so fun seeing them really connect in that way. The suspense element that is introduced was thrilling and kept me on the edge of my seat and I just didn't want to put this book down. This author definitely knows how to penn a well done story that doesn't need to be full length to deliver a satisfying read to the reader.

Overall View
I found Hacking Mr. Ceo to be a truly endearing read that knocked my socks off and I can't wait to explore the connecting contemporary romance she has written! Definitely a win in my book.

This was a great ending for this series.
Remi and Maverick are a super cute couple. Both of them are hackers and they met when Remi tried to hack Mav. I kinda wished they would communicate longer through the computer and build more tension because they quickly met in real life. Still I liked them together. Remi is a real sunshine and the perfect woman for Maverick.
I‘m disappointed in Liam & Zane (from the previous books) because they don‘t treat Remi nice when they first met her. They judge without knowing anything and talk bad about her. Like boys, you remember that you two fell for a „traitor“ too? Your girls also were criminals and you still fell for them so stop fucking judging Maverick!
The plot was thrilling and I enjoyed reading.
I will definitely continue reading books from this author, I had a lot of fun with this series.

This was a wonderful and action-packed ending to the Billionaire Heist trilogy! I loved Maverick and Remi! Remi is a smart, sassy, and talented woman. She has a huge adopted family that she helps take care of. In her fear of losing her adopted mother, she makes a mistake, but it does lead to finding true happiness with Maverick (a trope, which I always enjoy).

I loved everything about this book: the characters, the storyline, the action, the suspense, the drama, the danger and lest we forget...the sizzle. Mav and Remi are perfect for one another. They make being brainiacs sexy. Remi's sassiness was a hoot. Mav trying to maintain his stoic, hard a$$ image while around Remi was laugh out loud funny. I am now going to read the other two books in this series.

Re-read January 2025: Yas! So good! Just the right mix of romance, suspense, action and spice! ♥️

Original review:
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Romantic suspense where both Mc’s have an important role in catching the bad guy. I loved that Mav and Remi worked together and appreciated each others skills. They both get turned on by watching the other work :-). Both Mav and Remi are tech geniuses and both are initially hesitant about love. But they are attracted to each other from the start. Lots of action, it had me on the edge of my seat! I also loved the side characters (lots of cameos from characters other series). The spice was scorching, boy did these two have chemistry! Remi was one of my favorite heroines I’ve read in a while! I just loved her sassiness and she was so smart and would do anything for the people she loved. The banter between her and Mav was hilarious! I haven’t read the first two books in this series and might go back to do that! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Safety:
OW: the book opens with a scene where H is leaving a hotel room where he just had sex with OW. He hasn’t met the h yet and we only ‘see’ him leaving.
OM: h has an admirer that wants her, he asks her our several times, but she is not interested.
No cheating

Oh, Ms. Hackett, Ms. Hackett, I don’t know if we can reconcile after this read. I don’t have enough fingers and toes to list the things that didn’t work for this reader here (the leads, the story, etc.). Will they give love a try if they come out alive…

Wow, just wow!
What an explosive way to close a series.
I thought the first two books were one hell of a nonstop action stories, this one matches them and what a fire work at the end.
I was glued to my book all afternoon, so eager to see how the mighty Rivera would fall. As one thing is sure with Hackett, the bigger and more jaded they are, the harder they fall.

Remi needs cash, big cash immediately which led her to accept the first job she is offered, she just did not know where she would step in. She knew Rivera was top of the top, but not which kind of project could attract such money. She thought her challenge would be to enter and steal what she had been tasked for. When it is more a dead or alive deal, if she can survive becoming a target.
Maverick made early his wealth, a wizard with technology. But it from the start attracted the wrong persons eager to taste a piece of the cake. It left him bitter about love, unable to trust a woman to have no agenda behind their interactions. So when the clever hacker who is defying him shows which prey she is after, he is furious to have been tempted by her sass.

Their relationship began on the wrong foot as they stand at each side of the law, until Remi’s conscience unable her to follow this path.
They were fun to watch together, Remi shaking up Mav’s certainties, blurring the lines, blowing his walls like a bull in a china shop. While Remi is determined to see their affair as only temporary, so sure there is no future between a foster kid hacker and a tech billionaire genius.
Yet when running for your life, sometimes priorities and beliefs change.

Hacking the CEO is the third book in Anna Hackett's Billionaire Heists series. I've read the first two books in the series some time ago but then (for whatever reason) decided to not read this one. It tells the story of Maverick/Mav and Remi's journey to their HEA.

Remi was a white hat hacker whose adopted mom was diagnosed with a fatal illness. Although there was trial treatment available, it was costly, and Remi did not have that kind of money. After some deliberation, Remi decided to find a job on the dark web and was immediately offered one that would give her the money she needed. The job, as it turned out, was to hack into Maverick's system and steal his blueprint for some top-secret government project he was working on. When Remi found out what she was contracted to steal, she decided not to go ahead with the hack. Unfortunately, the person who hired her was not interested in her change of mind and threatened to harm her family if she did not finish it. Maverick and Remi then combined forces to put a stop to the villain’s plan.

I liked the story and characters well enough. In Remi we were given a likeable FMC who had a great personality and a strength of character that was not overdone. She was quirky, humorous, confident and charming. Maverick started off as a grumpy genius who was still bitter about a past, failed relationship that left him with trust issues, but realized quickly enough that Remi was the right woman for him. Both fell hard for each other, and their chemistry was tangible (but maybe too easy). Maverick fell first and he fell fast, letting go of his hang-ups almost instantly. Although, a bit more resistance from him would have given the relationship development more weight …

Our FMC showed naivety when her immediate reaction was to obtain the money she needed illegally. In my view, this decision was illogical because Killian, her employer and a billionaire in his own right, offered to help with anything she may have needed—he could see that something was bothering her—but she did not take him up on his offer. Instead, she accessed the dark web, took on a job that she did not know the ramifications of, and was then shocked when Maverick told her what she would be stealing. For someone so smart, this was a dumb move. Fortunately, she realized her mistake and decided not to go ahead with it. Maverick, as far as I’m concerned, forgave her too easily and quickly; this after promising hell and damnation when he finds her.

The storytelling was exceptional and the action scenes riveting, although it lacked depth. The plot was wonky at times i.e., Maverick and Remi attending an event in plain sight—of course the villain was going to see them together and retaliate! But, overall, this was an entertaining read, and a good conclusion to the series. It was also good to see Killian, Vander and Ace again.

Better than the second book, but I just can’t get past people who think it’s okay to steal/blackmail etc.

When I read the first book in this series, Monroe lays awake with the guilt of what she is doing. She doesn’t eat or sleep as she feels so guilty. Aspen in the second book views it as a job that she’s been hired to do. Blackmail Liam to save her friends husband. But there’s no guilt. In this one Remi is trying to steal a project from Marv and she’s doing it to fund cancer treatment for her foster mother. IT DOESN’T MAKE IT OKAY TO DO BAD THINGS!!!

So a quick point here. In the second book they let a peodophile get away with it as they don’t want the embarrassment and the scandal. In this book they’re helping the girls. Which is a lot lot better.

Anyway. Remi is a hacker who was brought up by her foster mother. Her foster mom has cancer and only has six months to live. Remi finds out when she reads a letter about it. Yeah that happens all the time! Cancer specialists don’t write that you’re dying and have six months left!!! They tell you in person!! Anyway, Remi is devastated and puts herself up for hire in the dark web. (Yeah, high morals there! She doesn’t think twice about it!) She accepts a job to steal a project off Marv’s company. A government weapons contract. Marv tracks her down and falls madly in love with her. Yeah I agree with other reviewers on this point. Marv who basically doesn’t trust or like women at all, suddenly changes his whole personality???

They agree to work together to find the man who hired her. Along the way there is a lot of danger. Which I have to say was brilliant. I really liked this book mostly. There are a lot of unanswered questions though. An assassin wouldn’t have hired Remi to steal the project. So someone hired him, but who?? Remi’s boss is a mysterious character that is never explained, Remi has a stalker and that’s never really resolved, what’s her mothers prognosis after her surgery?

I’m glad I read this book. As the second one left a really bad taste in my mouth. I just can’t jump on board with the whole I’ll do anything for people that I love, whether it’s illegal or not, and if it hurts other people, it’s tough. Sorry Anna Hackett as I love your books usually.

This is book three in the Billionaire Heists series. One by one the billionaires have met their match and now it’s Maverick Rivera’s turn. He was burned once before and he’s been the one most resistant to any long-lasting relationships, apart from those with his family and his best friends and fellow billionaires Zane Roth and Liam Kensington and their partners.

Enter Rogue Angel – Remi. By day she works for a security company testing clients’ systems, but now she’ll have to work on the dark side. She needs to get enough money to save her mother and if it means using her skills to get some information from Rivera Tech, then that’s what she’s going to do. Remi just thought she’d do some simple hacking, and she certainly didn’t factor in falling off a ladder almost into Mav’s lap. Mav on the other hand is most intrigued by the hacker trying to get into his systems and for him the hunt is on. Then it all comes crashing down around Remi and her family is targeted. She and Mav have to work together to find out who hired Remi in the first place and try to stop them. Can they do it before whoever is after them gets to them?

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the characters and especially loved the verbal play back and forth between Remi and Mav. Remi is confident and not cowed by Mav and his wealth, if anything she just covets his tech, and who could blame a geek like her for that! I love it when Vander from Norcross Security pops up – you know there will always be some kind of action when that happens.

This was definitely a fast paced and exciting installment in the Billionaire Heists series and I look forward to reading about Killian and Boone as well as Ace and Zander in upcoming books!

Series: Billionaire Heists #3
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

When Remi finds out her foster mother is sick and needs an expensive surgery, she gets desperate and takes a job hacking into the biggest tech company in the world - Rivera Tech. The job quickly becomes more than she expected, especially when it comes to the sexy CEO Maverick Rivera.

This was a wonderful and action packed ending to the Billionaire Heist trilogy! I loved Maverick and Remi! Remi is a smart, sassy and talented woman. She has a huge adopted family that she helps take care of. In her fear of losing her adopted mother, she makes a mistake but it does lead to finding true happiness with Maverick (a trope which I always enjoy).

From the very beginning I loved the banter between Remi and Maverick. It was lighthearted, smart, and very flirty. It also helped soften up Maverick who has been a bit of a grumpy genius throughout this series. Maverick is like Zane and Liam, a protective alpha male who has been hurt in the past. I loved watching him open up and fall in love with Remi, especially with all the tech speak because it just showed they clicked.

The Shadow was an interesting enemy and I enjoyed the chase to find and capture him, especially towards the end when it was nonstop action and suspense. I am sad to see the last billionaire bachelor fall in love but it was a very good ending.

I loved Hacking Mr. CEO by Anna Hackett. In this installment of what I call the billionaire series, we meet Remi, aka Rogue Angel. She is a computer genius who is hired for her hacking skills to (legally) test out and improve security systems of various companies. When she finds out her adoptive foster mother, aka mama, needs an expensive surgery to survive, she decides to hire out her skills to the highest bidder- whatever the task. The highest paying job she takes-you guessed it- hacking into Rivera Tech and stealing one of their classified projects. What she doesn't know is that it is a government project that if put into the wrong hands could be extremely dangerous. Enter Mav Rivera, boss of the company. Sigh..and what a cutie. He is determined to not only stop this attack, but to capture the hacker. What they both discover is that they are on the same side against the person who hired Remi to steal the project. Ya ya ya, she shouldn't have taken the job-even with the purest of motivations- but what would be the fun in that story line:) I absolutely adore the verbal quips between Remi and Mav, a kind of computer flirting that makes the story. When Remi tries to right her wrong, all heck breaks loose and she and Mav must work together to save her and get the bad guy. Nothing too too deep and convoluted, just a good story with a satisfying HEA! I received an ARC to review this book.

OMW - Mav was always going to be my fave of the Bachelors 'cos, well, he is Grumpy!

Mav's had more than one brush with golddiggers and his heart is locked up tighter than his tech!
But some hacker is attempting to steal secrets, National Security level secrets and that is not happening on his watch. But he's slightly distracted by pretty electricians and then he realises who she is and his dander is up!

Remi is a white hat hacker ordinarily but when some scumbag is threatening her Foster family she'll do whatever they want to keep them safe. But when she learns just what they are after she won't let even the danger to her family stop her from putting them down.

Oh la la I always knew Mav was going to have layers. I just never realised just how "dominant" he could be. Phew, the kindle almost melted more than once! But he is also a huge marshmallow softie at heart and Remi becomes his newest fascination. The boys are certainly protective of each other, at times you want to tell them to step back and give a girl rooom to explain though!

As usual the author weaves action, suspense and heaps of passion perfectly. Snarky, witty dialogue. Stunning visual descriptions. A cast of solid, interesting secondary characters. It's sad to see the back of the boys and their ladyloves but I'm sure they'll pop up in a cameo somewhere. Boone also makes another appearance and Remi's boss - OMG this list of IWANTBOOKSFORTHESECHARACTERS list is growing!

This one had a bit of a rocky start for me. But the end was amazing.

Like with the other two books in the series, a woman is forced to do something bad to one of the billionaires for the sake of a loved one. In this one Remi is forced to hack into one of Mav’s computer systems to steal a file to get money to pay for her foster mothers brain surgery. In the process, she in Mav all for each other. Like with the other two books in the series, Mav almost immediately falls for Remi. Except Mav had been hurt in the past by a woman and was really anti-relationship. He was the brooding grumpy one. Remi changed all that.

So here’s my thing. The change in Mav happens almost immediately. He spent the first two books being just grumpy and surrounding all the time. But Remi almost immediately started to get to him and make him smile. He was on was a different person I was too quickly. I would’ve liked to see him eventually start to open up to her. Not immediately take to her.

Another thing is the situation that Remi finds herself in that makes her hack Mav. It was a bit contrived and not quite as understandable is in the first book. I get that her foster mother needed an expensive surgery, but she immediately jumped to illegal hacking and theft as her only option.

But in the end, Mav and Remi made a good team. The ending was exciting and action packed. And it leads in perfectly to the next Norcross book.

Maverick Rivera thought that he had been naive and trusting before but no more, he had learned quickly from mistakes, but he did not count on being caught by the game of his heart that had him in denial but at the same time longing. What a mess! After stumbling into different foster homes, Remi found the right family for her, but when adversity knocked on her door, she found herself faced with a terrible dilemma. A situation that would put her in front of the billionaire Maverick Rivera, would challenge her abilities as a hacker, would put her and her family's life at risk and would lower the defenses of her heart. With exciting and intense descriptions and narratives, the action runs fast, and we find two protagonists who speak the same language, play an ingenious word game and find themselves struggling with their feelings and emotions while being engulfed by passion. The story kept me intrigued, waiting and enjoying the twists in the plot with no idea what was going to happen. Action, suspense, intrigue, technology, strong emotions, adventure, an elusive villain, romance and passion. Vander Cross continues like ‘the sweet that is not to be touched’ and I am nuts waiting for his story that I hope is Super exciting! I voluntarily reviewed this copy that I received free from BookFunnel.

It's Mav's turn to fall and of course the tech genius finds his path crossing with a hacker who is doing the wrong things for all the right reasons. Saving the life of someone who saved her is a good trade off for a little electronic B&E, right?

Wellllll...things are a little more complicated than that. Remi might be hacking for all the right reasons, but the information she's been tasked with obtaining is NOT something Mav can let be handed over to just anyone. Naturally, Mav dives in full throttle to stop Remi and ends up falling for the smart, sassy, heart-of-gold lady once he sees why she's doing what she's doing.

Also, bringing down a bad guy always puts Mav and his pals in a good mood.

While the romance between Mav and Remi is smokin' (because these bachelor billionaires go ALL IN when they find their special someone), the secondary characters are just as fantastic. Mav and Remi cross paths with a few members of the Norcross crew, Remi's boss (who is kinda intense in a good way), and Boone. I LIKE BOONE.

A little danger, an explosion or two, a deadly game of hide and seek, and some SMOKIN' kisses. Mav and Remi bring the heat and they don't stop until the bad guy is brought down. *thumbs up*

TECH BILLIONAIRE MEETS HIS MATCH-SUSPENSE-ACTION & FIERY PASSIONATE ROMANCE

“Hacking Mr. CEO” fills the pages with flirtatious banter, heart-pounding suspense, non-stop action, and fiery, passionate romance. This story held me captive until the outstanding conclusion.

Maverick Rivera tech genius billionaire doesn’t date and has sworn off love because of trust issues. He’s bossy, well built, and rarely smiles. Inventing new tech devices keeps him busy. Remi Solano is a petite sexy, bold hacker who works for a security company. To gain money for her foster mom’s expensive surgery she makes a deal with an unknown source to hack Rivera’s Tech system. Blind fury hits Maverick when he realizes the file she is after threatening her with jail. Molten-hot desires flare between them at their first meet. They work together to capture the dangerous villain facing life-threatening issues before reaching their happy forever.

Enthralling quick-paced read with great character interaction and fabulous vivid scene descriptions. Backstories give the reader insight into the character’s personalities. The author blends reality and fantasy well. Remi is a courageous heroine. Her keen wit and loyalty brings out the best in Maverick; their genuine love shines in this read. Enjoying this book, I voluntarily reviewed a pre-release copy.

Ms. Hackett knocked it out of the park with this one. The story starts with Remi being a law-abiding hacker who learns that her foster mom needs an expensive operation to beat an illness. So she throws her hacker name out onto the dark web, and gets hired shortly thereafter to steal a top-secret military file from Maverick Rivera. He realizes what she is doing very quickly, and calls her on it, and they begin an intriguing ‘challenge’ over the computer—Mav wants to catch his hacker, and Remi wants to complete the job, to earn the money that can save her foster mom.

The conflicts within each protagonist are obvious. Remi has a noble goal, even if she hates doing what she has been asked to do. Mav wants to stop her from succeeding, even while he is challenged by her sass and snark. Remi is drawn to Mav, although she knows he’s way out of her league, while Mav is attracted to her, as he rarely finds people willing to stand up to him. Ms. Hackett weaves a compelling story that sucks the reader in, and doesn’t let go! The tension builds throughout this story, and then peaks at the end with a wonderful finale. This is an adrenaline rush that readers will love!!

Here we have book 3 in the Billionaire Heists series. One by one the billionaires have met their match and now it’s Maverick Rivera’s turn. He'd been burned once before and he’s consistently been the one most resistant to any long-lasting relationships.
Enter Rogue Angel – Remi. By day she works for a security company testing clients’ systems, but now she’ll have to work on the dark net. She needs to get enough money to save her mother even if it means using her skills to get some information from Rivera Tech, then that’s what she’s going to do. Remi thought it would be a simple job. Maverick on the other hand is most intrigued by the hacker trying to get into his systems and for him the hunt is on.

I loved these characters especially the verbal repartee between Remi and Maverick. Remi is confident and not cowed by him or his wealth, if anything she just covets his tech, and.....brain and who could blame a geek like her for that? There’s plenty of passionate romance, suspense, surprises in the mix...and the bonus is an epilogue....no spoilers from me here! A great read. If you’re a fan of Anna Hackett you won’t be disappointed!

“Hello, angel,” he murmured. “I told you I’d find you.” ❤️

4.5/5 stars ⭐ Apparently, this was exactly what I wanted at the moment bc I read it straight through in one sitting 😂 My nerd brain always has to suspend belief for hacker storylines, but I somehow still love them. The chemisty and banter were spot on while the plot was action-packed and fast-paced. It was a little much/unrealistic towards the end, but I still really enjoyed this and plan to check out Hackett's other books in the future
