Life is a balance—at least that’s what I’m told by people smarter than me. Try as I might to spend quality time with Sloan, family, friends, and companion animals my magnet of mayhem often has other ideas.
Adulting is hard.
So when I move an adolescent dragon into my backyard why don’t I anticipate the craziness that will ensue?
Maybe Sloan’s right and I am ridiculous.
I like to think I’m an optimist.
Either way, it takes a group effort to figure out the mess we find ourselves in and what to do about it.
The good news is, we may be able to reclaim our lives. The bad news?
We may alter the course of the future in the process.
One mind bendy conundrum at a time, amirite*? * And Merlin… I was not expecting that! Huh.

Dart!!! We finally hear Dart!! This was a time travel adventure and it was nice to see Sloan get some time in the sun instead of being sidelined. Dora, Fiona, Sloan and Dart are sent back to the 9th century and encounter dragons, magic, and more magical artifacts. Now they have to save dragons without affecting the timeline and Aldo get back home before they die
This is an excellent series. The family dynamics, the magic and the paranormal creatures keep the stories going, along with the action and the humor. In this book Fiona, Sloan, Merlin and Dart accidentally end up in the past and have to try and right a wrong without screwing up the timeline. I look forward to the books in this series and cannot wait for the next one.
Time-traveling, Shape-shifting, Dragon-riding, Foul-mouthed, Multi-ethnic, Fun-loving, Portal-hopping, Sassy-a**ed Red-headed Druid. (and that's just the main character)
These books keep getting better and better. Funny, clever dialogue between the characters keeps the storyline moving right along nicely. (with no dull parts to skim through 😉) This series is one of my all time favorites.
No spoilers. If you like anything from my title, you will love this series.
This whole book series so far has just been filled with a bunch of internalized misogyny and humor at the expense of other women. There's plenty of humor, and I like the premise of the stories. I like that it was a slow burn romance and a solid relationship built with respect and support and pretty good communication. It's just the crass jokes and thoughts that make her 'Just one of the guys' that rubs me the wrong way. Very middle school.
I absolutely love that we don't get a backstory, we get an entire event! Holy Merlin, what a ride, pun intended. Pandora, aka Merlin, has been an enigma since we met her. Glimpses into her past have been dropped, and we have a little idea of what he was like in the 9th century. But overall I have a hard time accepting that both are the same person. This book helped bridge that gap. Also, it's about time Sloan got to go on an adventure.
Sloan, Fiona, and Merlin travel back to the 9th century to help save the dragons while keeping the timeline in check. Sure, just another day for the gang. It can never be just one thing for the group though. Another of Morgana's artifacts is loose in the wild and it's up to the team to take it out of commission. Fiona ends up in a dragon riding tournament and I was sad that there was not more plot line dedicated to the tournament and the dragon companion that agrees to help.
The story was great and there was no real lull in action and adventure. The end felt like it had to be done in a set number of pages/chapters and thus felt a bit rushed. I will be interested to see if anything in the timeline changed because of the fiddling Fiona and friends did in the past but I find it unlikely there will be too many repercussions.
I still adore this series. There is plenty of action and adventure, a wide range of myths and legends making their appearance, and the romance is subtle and adds just enough to the story without being overbearing. My main gripe has and will likely always be, the slang used and the frequency. Hundy, Lurve, and Sista come to mind and make me cringe each time. It's not enough to detract from the story or my love of all things clan Cumhaill.
Grab your favorite cuddle blanket and enjoy! Happy Reading!
It’s about Dora again but this time we get another part of the story. I love dragons so this one was cool. I love Dart, I love the tough love that comes with it and Fi having to admit that he may not just be her baby. Let’s see…
Some things were annoying. Lines that ran too long like an over-explained joke, bickering that didn’t add to the story or to the relationship growth between said bickers. Small errors are still here. These things add up and I’m reading these books back to back, and I feel like that impacts how I take things. So don’t take what I say to heart too much.
I liked it but it was amazing. The dragon bits were, and the first half of the book felt more like fan service. By this point, I feel like if you’ve gotten past book eight or nine, it’s because you legit love the characters and wanna be there to see them keep living on. Story wise, things are sorta solid but it’s all very slow-pacing.
Any who have followed this series will be amazed at the twists and turns this episode brings to the table…. Sadly, that table isn’t round, but it suffices nonetheless.
This being said, the dramatic changes wrought by our heroes have opened entirely new vistas that need exploring. I’m perhaps underselling it when I call these “dramatic” changes. Truth be told, there hasn’t been this much change in Fiona’s life since the day Baba Yaga sent her on that fateful errand. Some friends will be lost, but new allies and bonds are formed while ancient bonds are reawakened.
Hold on to your seats, my friends. This ride hasn’t even left the station yet! Enjoy!
Adventure number 10 of our favorite Lady Druid and her Gang of Great scores a 10. Well, that sounds clunky but it's absolutely true. Each successive book about Fi, Clan Cumhaill and her ever-expanding circle of friends makes me love them even more. The Cumhaill kids are absolutely hilarious, even when stuff is hitting the fan hard. I won't give a synopsis because I fear it would fall short of what the tale deserves but it's well worth your time.
Fans of these authors should put the Urban Druid series at the top of their paranormal fantasy reading list. If you're disappointed...well, your sense of fun, adventure and humor are seriously in doubt.
I love Fi and all her family and a the eclectic friends from Garret, to Nikon and all natures animals. This series allows me to depart from my reality to join this saucy wench in her reality. Sometimes especially in 2021, you need an outlet to keep from getting heated with what is going on. Auburn provided that for me. Can't wait for the next book to come out. And I am adding Auburn Tempest as an addition Author beside Anne McCaffery. Oh and I'll also add Mike and Martha.
Ohh wow where do I begin this book was awesome I love Fiona and her family they're just so realistic well for the most part anyway, in this book secrets are revealed and things get a bit complicated as Fiona tries to help a friend in need. Dyonisis version of a birthday party sounds both fun and slightly terrifying. Lol but in all at the end I just couldn't help but smile and it makes you wonder what comes next.
While Fiona and Dart train to improve their communication, she learns about a possible future problem in their relationship. On a personal note, her need to help people leads her to one of the biggest surprises in her life.
Be prepared for a wild time in ancient Britain at Merlin’s Tintagel.
Fave scenes: the ducks at the zoo, piñata contest, Bruin fighting on the dragons and Fiona on the cliff.
Fi and Sloan have a different kind of mayhem by accidentally returning to the past with Merlin. Since I read Anne McCaffrey's Dragon Riders series in the middle 60s, I was thrilled that Fi and her dragon learned to fly together. It was exciting, thrilling, and informative. However, it's best to start with Book 1.
I appreciate the fact that Fi "adopts" people, magical creatures, animals, and is a Druid's Druid.

I like this book, but it took a little while into the book before there was action. Fi was dragged back into time again, but this time she had her boyfriend, her dragon, and Merlin with her. Apparently being in Camelot is pretty interesting for everyone except for Merlin since he is from that time. I think this is where it finally got interesting. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series.
Brilliant. I only discovered this series back in May or June. I couldn’t stop reading them till I finished them all, then I did it all over again. I think it was 8 days till this book was released and I was counting the days and hoping Amazon would early release. It’s taken 10 hours with a stop for food and bits and bobs. Now the long wait for A Gods Mistake.
Dynamic duo, Anderle and Tempeste once again keep the reader enthralled right to the end. This time round, we get more of a glimpse of Dora’s previous life as Merlin, as well as more insight into dragons. Very craftily written and hard to put down until finished.
Lovely story, time travel and learning more about Dora and why there should be dragons. Or I should say why I would like there to be dragons. However Morgan le Fay’s magic comes back to stab Fiona from behind and there is a ghost who has not been released yet. Next story, please.
I love how these authors can write such an amazing story. Any time a new book comes out in this series I'm immediately downloading it to my kindle and it's an insta-read. The story telling is so captivating and I have a hard time putting it down and dealing with real life. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who asked!!!
I like the books of old like sword of truth and hobbit and most of those. I'm just not a fan of forcing all the "woke" issues into my fictional fantasy book. I understand that's the author's feelings and she can add that to the books. I just wish I somehow could know that before starting the series. Like maybe a warning label. Lol.
Another one that does not disappoint! Love all of the dialect that helps set the stage as Fiona finds herself cast once again into the past. Tons of adventure, women power, and family love in this new adventure....and did I mention dragons? A great read!
Very Slow start to this storyline. Once they begin Dart's training it does pick up. I continue to enjoy the series and characters. I'd like some of the immaturity to lighten up; however, it has only been about a year since the series timeline started. I may be expecting too much character development at this point.
I absolutely devoured this. So much so, that I forgot to get breakfast and I’m starving! Love the story, adore the characters, dragons galore, and we finally get more backstory on Dora. Only wish this was a few hundred pages longer.
I love this series, the scrappy Family and friends, the misadventures of them all and who doesn’t love dragons? So much fun and action! Highly recommend, read in order.
This series has it all, a good story line, great cast of characters, love, laughter, dragons, you can't go wrong. Live this series can't wait for the next book, with I hope will be one of many!!
It's all ramping up. Love love love how fast this series is moving along and the characters are developing. Dart is turning into so much more than I expected and I love it.
So freaking SWEET!!! I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! Fiona and the fam jam are scary hilarious! The best ever twist on druids and magic I Have EVER witnessed!!! Howard S (The S stands for Super Fan)
I lurve (as Fi would say) these books! The blend of old magic with the new world is intoxicating. Add in the Cumhaill family and all the chaos of a large family, and you have a thoroughly enjoyable read!!
Dora/Merlin is outstanding but does not seem to have the power that I expect of Merlin. Fiona is in her element righting wrongs as she always does even in past centuries.
Pandora to Merlin. Dragons and returning to pre-Camelot times, with magic and a new view in Merlin. Great set-up in the early part of the book, which surprised me pleasantly.
Wow, the great stories just keep coming! A rad birthday party, druid stones and portals, Tintagel, bad guys in the past, more dragons and HEAs. If you love Merlin, ya gotta read about Fiona's most recent adventure! I loved it!
