American Tower

Rate this book
The Tower in New York was built after the fires burned out and radiation dissipated following the nuclear civil war that decimated the U.S. The rich live in the aboveground section in their lavish suites, but the poor are forced to live in the cramped underground basement. Paul Poorman is a member of the poor below, and he along with his friend strive to escape their extreme poverty.

While tirelessly working to move up higher in the Tower, Paul realizes many of the rich people have absolutely no respect for the poor below, the ones who bring them all their wealth and comfort. Not only do the rich lack respect and empathy for the poor, but Paul discovers they're oppressing them as well. Paul isn't the only one who sees this, and his poor comrades are ready to drag the rich down from the Tower and take their freedom by force. But Paul comes up with a different way to show the rich how valuable the poor are.

Interesting and different.

A bit different from many dystopia books. No zombies just rich verses poor.
Paul and Nico were just trying to find a way out of poverty and being the rich people slaves.
As I mentioned before interesting. Not much exciting action but enough it kept me reading. It was a bit slow moving at time, but worth the read for a simple storyline.
