Lieutenant Eli Knight is living his best life as a Gorman Valley firefighter. While he’s always dreamed of falling in love, it seems the little town doesn’t have much to offer in the way of eligible women.
Heidi Drake lives her life day to day. Raising her daughter all by herself, she’s come to accept that Joslyn will always be her primary focus, whether she has a man in her life or not.
When Heidi stops by the fire station to inquire about Joslyn’s missing lunch box following the school’s field trip, there’s no denying the spark the first time she sees Eli.
Taking his time, Eli is determined to win Heidi’s heart the proper way. And thanks to Joslyn, Heidi finds it nearly impossible to say no to him.
As their friendship grows stronger, will they both finally admit to what they’re feeling in their hearts? Or will it take a terrifying moment for Heidi to accept that Eli just might be the perfect man for her and her daughter?
Spark is a stand-a-lone story in the Where There’s Smoke Series.

This was such a cute story (little kids always makes it cute). Joslyn attended a fire station visit with her Kindergarten class. She latched onto Eli asking a ton of questions. Eli was a little put out by all the questions but she was such a sweet little girl he couldn't deny staying with her through lunch. He met her mother. Heidi, the next day. He was such a great guy. Stressed over fires but otherwise very attentive to both mother and daughter. Read this book, you'll enjoy it. It's really good :)
Spark is a quick romance that will warm your heart. The story is an enjoyable small town, firefighter, single mother story with a smoldering undercurrent. This is a clean story so if nothing more than kissing isn't for you then you will want to look for something that blazes hotter than this sweet little Spark.
A very heartwarming three way romance between a little girl, her mom and a firefighter they can not live without. Joslyn was the first to fall for firefighter Eli when her school had a field trip. When he met the mother in the grocery store the next day, it was love at first sight. The three soon are wrapped up in each other and deep feelings and protectiveness take over. The characters are terrific and the storyline was a quick sweet read that put a smile on my face. Loved how happy and energetic Joselyn was portrayed. It was heart wrenching when she asked her question at the end. Well done.

This is a very sweet book. While there is chemistry between Heidi and Eli there are no instances of anything other than sweet kisses and caresses. Eli is a strong and thoughtful person. He cares deeply about others and his actions speak loudly to his character. Heidi is a strong and independent woman and while life has not necessarily gone as planned for her, she does not let that color her character. Nice story.

This sweet novella introduces us to Amy’s “Where there’s smoke” world by giving us the start of Eli and Heidi’s romance. When Heidi’s daughter forgets her lunchbox at the fire station during a field trip, it creates the perfect opportunity for them to meet. I love Eli and Heidi and even her daughter Joslyn. Joslyn is hilarious and gets Eli wrapped around her little finger in no time. Check out this story and get to know the characters. I can’t wait to see what comes next for this world and it’s loveable characters.
