If you’re searching for a cute, fun, and clean read with a bit of a fairy tale feel, look no further.
Even though Charlotte has lived the good life at the top of the country music food chain, when circumstances push her out of the high life, she’s got a strong work ethic and doesn’t look down her nose as doing everyday tasks (like cleaning) for herself. This, and her friendly, welcoming nature toward everyone, makes her extremely likable. It’s not hard to figure out why Jake is drawn to her.

My hands-down favorite character in this sweet story is Jake’s grandmother. She’s a meddler whose innocent airs aren’t fooling anyone with a few surprises I didn’t see coming.

The glimpses of Nashville, including a little of the country music scene, are spot-on. It will be a treat to see what Cathryn Brown gives readers in the next Nashville Secrets book.

My thoughts: 📱75% 4:07:08 Chapter 15 - These tropes were dropped late in the game so I can't share them. I can't wait till my phone is free so I can see where this is going. We're running out of time!

This story was good but I think it should have been longer to fill in the gaps. It felt rushed.

Recommend to others: Sure, it was a good time.

Kind of opened on accident and kept reading . Everything has fallen apart for Charlotte and she needs a job and a place to stay, which she unfortunately finds in a motel that used to be nice. Jake's sister has bought a motel without looking at it but is out of the country so guess who gets to go look at it. So Jake and Charlotte meet, each not knowing much at all about the other, including the fact that Charlotte is actually a famous country music star and Jake is a billionaire. Grandma Shirley comes to visit and all heck breaks loose. Clean. Fun. I would read again, it was a very nice break from crazy life.

Sweet Romantic Comedy

Oh, this is better than a movie… the story and the narrators voices… just WoW!! I had so much fun listening to this story. For at least one someone in this story, life is not being sweet or kind; and then, the story begins. It is a short story that is long on snowballing circumstances creating havoc -of the very best kind- in the lives the snowball rolls over. You really don’t want to miss this story, especially if you like contemporary fairy-tales that come true. I read the audiobook, but I bet the story is really good when you read the print or digital versions and the voices you hear are ones you make up. Happy Reading ! !
NOTE: This review expresses my honest opinion.

What happens when your life has been turned upside down? When you are stripped of everything you thought brought you joy, and you have nothing left. And you end up feeling like life couldn’t get any worst, but it does. Can there really be a light at the end of the tunnel; can there be a song that gets put back in your life?
In this sweet story of finding hope, by Cathryn Brown, you will feel all the emotions Carly/ Charlotte goes through. All the pain, all the hurt, all the hope, and all the joy.
This book is sort of the precursor to a new book by Cathryn Brown, Running Away To Romance. It was fun to see the other side of that story. These books are a fun new series by this author, and I think she has a hit.
I've had fun reading many of Cathryn Brown's books. They always bring a smile to my face!
If you want to read books that are clean, romantic, fun, and quick to read, then this author is someone you should check out!
I highly recommend you pick this book up.
I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

After her manager stole all her money and trashed her name, country music star Carly is down to her last pennies as she checks into a dumpy motel. Billionaire Jake shows up to begin renovations on that property he is overseeing for his sister. The story really gets cute when Jake hires Carly, actually her real name Charlotte, to be the housekeeper at his place while his grandmother visits and he hasn't any idea who she really is! The characters were charming and I loved their interactions, especially grandma! It's a very warm, sweet story that is perfect for anyone to read!

I kept waiting for the characters to develop depth, but it didn’t happen. The story did not make sense. Why would you pretend to be engaged? This jump made no sense. I would have liked to see more conversations and actual relationship building. Two weeks is not long enough to get to know someone. The timeline is a little weird. I was very disappointed with the lack of depth of the story. It had potential in the beginning but the story never fully developed.

The entire story was ridiculous. Billionaire gives 2 strangers his gate codes and moves them onto his property - ya right. Carly has lost everything yet leaves behind all her expensive clothes? Why not store them, or sell them online? As others pointed out, put Carly in the pool house if it was such an issue with the grandmother- the fake engagement made no sense. I don’t know how people like this drivel. I mean romance is one thing, this was just bad writing.

What an enjoyable story. Carly Daniels is devastated. Her manager has stolen her money and now she is a disgraced country music star. She has nothing and is cleaning rooms at a motel to make money. She meets the new owners brother, Jake and there is an instant attraction. Charlotte, her real name, can't bring herself to tell him the truth. Things get tricky after that. Can they make this situation better?
I listened to the audiobook of the story.

Kisses only. This is a quick, clean read with likable characters. I was hoping for a little more relationship building or conversation between the MCs. Also, the whole fake engagement thing didn’t jive with me. Why jump to engaged? It seems like it would be worse for an engaged couple to be living together. He could have put her in the pool house or provided other lodgings or something.

I couldn't understand why she was so set on not telling him about her true identity despite being given so many opportunities. And I had a hard time grasping why he'd go for a fake engagement as a solution to his grandma catching them kissing. There were other things that bothered me about the plot, but those two are the ones that stood out the most.

I'm not usually interested in country music. However, i was given this book, and it was surprisingly good. The author has a really easy reading style that just flows. The characters are good. I especially liked how Carly loved helping others (always a good trait). Yes, enjoyed it. Was a fun read. Made me want to read more of this author's work.

A delightfully heartwarming story of a strong, smart, confident, adaptive, accommodating, resilient, and industrious young woman who is willing to undertake physical labour to earn a living even if she is not used to it, meets her kind and caring love of her life, and how they create their life together!

Great romantic story about a down on her luck country music star. Charlotte McDaniel was penniless because she trusted her manager. Checking into the first motel she had ever stayed in before her claim to fame, she finds that it's as broken down as her singing career. Things continue to get more interesting from here. Great addition to the Wedding Town romance series.

I received a free download of this book after reading another book by the author about a Runaway bride. It was a relatively short read and was a book that made me laugh and smile. It would be classified as a sweet clean romance. I've enjoyed everything I've read by Cathryn Brown and will definitely read more.

This is a great book. I loved the characters. I wish I would have read this one first because the others would have have given me a better understanding on who Cassie and others were in the series. I look forward to more.

A wonderful story. I loved the characters, Jake and Charlotte and was cheering for them all the way through. I am also a fan of meddling grandmothers so was happy this story had one. Well worth reading.

What an adorable story. Carly is a Country Singer whose Manager stole all the money. She gets a house cleaning job at a Billionaire’s house. Fake romance that might turn real, who knows. Binge reading to find out.

Sweet read

Really enjoyed it! I’m going to download the next now. I liked the twist where the “housekeeper” was the star instead of the billionaire.

The Country Music Star's Billionaire Fake Fiance is a well written, fun, clean romance. I really liked Charlotte and Jake and thoroughly enjoyed their story. Charlotte did not wallow or whine about her situation, she just pulled out her great work ethic and got on with it. Jake's grandmother was a force to be reckoned with! If you are a country music fan and/or a lover of clean, romances, this is a book you should read.
