Witchin #1

Witchin Warlock

Rate this book
Caspian comes from a long line of witches. Brock is third generation F.B.I. They shouldn’t fit but they do.

A year ago, Caspian moved to a small town in Ohio. He hoped the lack of competition in the area would be good for his psychic business, Futures Untold. The last thing he expected was a sexy F.B.I. agent to show up and treat him like a missing person’s bloodhound. Even though Caspian keeps doing favors for Special Agent Brock Wray, his distrust of authority runs deep. After all, they used to drown witches in this area back in the day, and Caspian has no desire to end up on Brock’s missing persons’ list.

Officially, no one knows how Brock keeps solving so many huge cases. Caspian is Brock’s secret weapon. The man knows things no one should. That’s not why Brock keeps showing up and making excuses to see Caspian. Caspian fascinates Brock. Not only does Brock’s inner detective need to know how Caspian knows so much, but Caspian is also smoking hot. He is the single most gorgeous man to step foot in their tiny town in ages. Brock isn’t dumb. He has to take Caspian off the market as quickly as possible and he’ll use any excuse to get close enough to do it.

When Brock takes Caspian along for the ride on a case, things will get weird. Let’s hope Caspian isn’t forced to show why he’s the most witchin warlock around or Brock might run for the hills.

MM Romance
Warlock/FBI Agent Solve Crimes
2 Stars ⭐️

I was hoping this novella series would be a good thing to read right before Halloween. How could anything that’s only 4 chapters be bad? 😂😂 The answer would be: by being boring, having ridiculous insta-everything, the case being a bore and the warlock still not telling his mate the truth. The only part I liked was Caspian’s psych readings especially the line:

”I know you said my soulmate has dark brown hair, but Chad has blond hair, and I really think he’s the one.”
“No one named Chad is ever the one”
🤣🤣

Thanks but no thanks.

Sexy with a twist

Brock a cop and Caspian a Warlock. This was an ingesting read with a twist of crazy. Crazy meaning Zombies. Brock has liked Caspian for awhile and finally made his move by asking him for help on a case, then a date. They make a good team. I'm wondering when Brock will learn of the abilities Caspian has. Is Clara ever going to find her soulmate?

Quick and Fun

This is super short so it feels sort of like an extended scene. The story is fun and best if you take it for the quick lunch break diversion it can be.

Cute story

This was a nice short story. The characters were interesting and the town seems fun. Can't wait to read the rest in the series.

A great intro to two awesome characters.

The characters have great promise, but need to be developed a bit more to make it a good read
The story premise is great, it just moved along much too quickly for me....the leaps in storyline were a little too convoluted for my taste.

An okay start to a series... Hopefully the author will improve with each book.

The writing is a bit bumpy, buck the story is nice. Since each book is short and sweet I will give them at least 2 more books, maybe more to up their game!

Cute and quirky short read.

This is a short Halloween story about a witch and an FBI agent who are looking for a missing bus driver. I hope the author considers these two characters for a longer story of series.

This was a sweet, sweet book. Caspian is a warlock who inherits his aunt's store in Ohio. He wanted to move away from New Orleans where there were too many witches, warlocks, etc. Now he's using potions in order to tell the future. And advertises himself as psychic.
Brock is an FBI agent who is quite smitten with Caspian. He draws him into a missing person's case to get closer.
Caspian is attracted to Brock. But he doesn't want to tell him he's a warlock. But can a relationship survive the secret?
Sweet, funny. Well written.

Cute introduction to a series

This short story is an introduction to the Witchin series. It’s a short, quick, insta-love read.

Caspian is a witch who is masquerading as a psychic in a small town in Ohio. Brock is an FBI agent who uses Caspian’s supposed ability to commune with the dead to help him with his cases. Caspian doesn’t want to be attracted to an authority figure who could cause him to have to leave town.

It’s a sweet story and gives us an intro to the world of this new series.

short but sweet

I wish it was longer! Sweet, quick, funny paranormal romance m/m story. I would definitely read a series about these two and the town they live in.

*****spoilers******

Questions I need answered:
Who created the zombies?
Who killed Frank? Was it the transient that drove the bus?
How does he tell him about his magic?
Does Clara finally end up with her Soulmate?

I need answers!!!!!!!

Why the heck was this so short? It’s basically a chapter long. Probably 20 pages in total.
Truly a pity. Both characters seemed likable but it’s just too short for anything to develop in a realistic manner. Literally 10 pages in they are already talking about fucking and being soulmates. The book being 20 pages, it means you are already half way through it at that point. I hope the author decides to revisit this story, expand it, add more layers, more depth and development. Until then this is not getting any stars

Another best books from this author. I love it because all my favourite genres blending together in one package. The suspense from paranormal things, the best romance and chemistry between main characters and the sex are mind blowing. I hope there are another stories like this. It was short book but is really connecting with the reader.

I can see this becoming a really cool series if done right. I liked this, I did. It just needs to have gaps filled and more detailed into the couple. I know I only rated this a 2, BUT I'd read the next to see where the author goes with it. Like I said: is a good start to what I believe could be a cool series.

I truly loved this little story that revolved around the relationship between Brock and Caspian. They lived in an exciting small and paranormal town where something is always going on. The two of them worked well together and the creatures were quite intriguing. I'm really looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Loved it! :)

Head over Heels and Heads knocked off

The first in the series of sweet paranormal romance shorts sees warlock Caspian working as a psychic in a small supernatural town. Agent Brock has had the hots for him and thinks he's the one.
But Caspian is hiding his magic.
With random zombies, sweet kisses and hot moments, this is a great short read.

WOW that was fast. This book moves at lightning speed and makes me feel like there are other books I should have been reading to make more sense of it. That being said the story is good, but it feels so abbreviated. It is good enough that I did want more. Less skipping and jumping so quickly. More explanations. This should be expanded.

Fate

“This was the one for him. There was no going back.” A cute and fun PNR novella. Caspian and Brock find quite the extra spooky adventure with their missing person mystery. I wish we had more time with them as there were some things left unsaid but hopefully they’ll have cameos in the next books.

Short and cute

Story was short and sweet, but I would've liked more descriptions of the characters. They're was almost nothing. What do they look like? The man on the cover must be Caspian, but I wondered what Brock and Clara looked like? I enjoyed the interaction between Caspian and Brock. It would've been neat to see Caspian use magic in front of Brock and tell him about it.

My only complaint about this book is that it wasn't longer. I hope this was a prequel to another series because that would be great. Story was well-written and the Brock and Caspian are characters that I will remember. Recommend reading.

Cute Halloween story

This is a cute little novella about a witch far from others of his kind and the agent he falls for. I wouldn’t have minded another chapter to see how Caspian tells Brock the truth about his magic but this is a fun quick read.

Absolutely a must read

I loved this book! Something different! I would love it to be a new series. There is something about Brock that you're not saying. Thank you for a good story.

Good and bad

While I loved the MCs and even crazy Clara, I didn't like that Caspian never tells Brock. At the end when he finally gives in (even unwillingly) to his future that would have been the perfect time to say hey I can do A,B, and C. Oh and it's not a coyote.

It’s pretty short and not a lot actually happens, so I’m sticking with a 3✨. However, I think it will be a great series for me when I want to read something but don’t have a lot of spare time. I’ve already put the next book on my KU TBR. 👍🏼

Cute and sweet

A sweet short story that really didn’t feel as short as it was. This author manages to fit in a decent amount of character development into her books, so I always know I’ll enjoy them.

Cute, short story! Interesting world! New author to me, YAYYYYYY!

The author definitely delivered on what they intended: "fun, short paranormal romances meant to be devoured on your lunch break". :)

I am definitely reading the next ones!

Cute and quick

This book was a good, quirky read. It was marketed as a quick read and it definitely was. It appears to be the first short story in a series that will make one actual book. Gonna read them all.

Really I want to give this like... a 2.75 stars. It had so much potential, but it was incredibly rushed and needs some editing.... I did like the characters and story I just feel like it could have been so much better.
