This Book! The Highs, The Lows, And Everything On Between!
And I finish reading with tears in my eyes, so grateful to the author for tearing my emotions apart and somehow letting them come back together. A book that grabs your attention immediately and takes you on a thrilling ride with two families doing all they can to keep each other safe! A van attempts to snatch Tyrell, Slater's son, but he has learned a few things himself and gets away. At about the same time two men stop Violetta and Junior in a public park. Someone has found them...Not the government, some rogue people. And they are insane enough to try to grab King and Slater's Family!! How crazy in the head are they??!
The following race to locate these people contains action, heart-ache, quick thinking and unbelievable scenes that race across the pages! You just can't read fast enough, living with these fabulous characters through every moment. A tremendous story by an author who brings the best with every line he writes! A stunning thriller that I highly recommend, in a series I just can't get enough of!!

Another exciting installment in the King & Slater saga. Ive been waiting for this one, in fact- the one where the guy's 'normal' lives, and families, are attacked...After so many years of destroying/dismantling bad guys, it was bound to happen. One of the reasons I enjoy Matt Rogers' books is because he does a phenomenal job when it comes to character development. Whether Protagonist/Antagonist, by the end of the book you really feel like you know and understand the character(s) in question, and that in turn forces the reader to really feel for that character, through all of their ups and downs. In this book in particular, we get a deeper glimpse into the mind of the bad guys, who happen to be a team of former black ops soldiers, who went off the reservation while in the middle east, and come to be crooked, murdering psychopaths. Just when you think K&S have their backs against the wall, and all hope is lost, the guys do what they do best, and that's kick ass, and save the day. Another great read in the series, looking forward to the next.

This series hooked me from the start and shows no signs of letting go. Two former Special Ops soldiers shaped into best friends and somehow coming out the other side determined to e a force for good, struggling to have periods of normality amidst the guns and bombs, and finding their true soul mates who stand beside them exposing a vulnerability they never expected but now dedicate themselves to protecting. This series does not have a dull moment and is totally mind blowing.... A five star series!

I don’t know how Rogers keeps topping himself. This new one exploded right out of the gate and doesn’t stop. Ghosts from past have come to visit King and Slater. They need to pay for their crimes and death is there sentence. But the bad guys just don’t know our guys. Now they have to save themselves in order to save their families and protect their futures. Believe me when I say I couldn’t put it down. Is this it for King and Slater? READ IT.

Continuous action
I've missed these guys since the last novel.I'm glad that they're back and ready to rumble. The only minor disappointment is that the women in their lives tend to make them overly soft and condescending. I don't think that will change in the future so I just skim past those portions.

Great read
I've read dozens of Roger's books and they always deliver, this one included. The writing is descriptive without being over the top. King and Slater keep evolving, but still are who they are. Great support characters, many plot twists, and superb editing. I'll keep reading this series as long as Matt Rogers keeps writing new books.

Rogues, mind boggling, fantastic read!
If i could choose a rating of 6 7 or 8 I would make it a 10!!!
King and Slater are the best writing of all and Matt Rogers never misses the mark!

Normal?
As is always the case with King and Slater, another exciting thrill filled book. Matt Rogers has a great easy to read style but manages to keep you guessing. He has heroes and truly bad villains.

Amazing stuff
All these books with King & Slater are very fast paced. Get your heart pounding. What an incredible imagination by Rogers writing. Don't know if anyone could live that life and be sane. But I like thinking there are super heroes out there.

Predictable and powerful
As with all of the King/Slater books, I was unable to put it down. Wonderfully written and insightful into by the minds of these men who work so hard to protect the innocent. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

I think Will and Jason makes too many mistakes for being elite operators.
No professional operator would have chosen a safe house in a basement with only one exit! That is just plain stupid! And how Rowan found them so fast, just not possible in real life.

Where King & Slater are concerned, never go after family a lesson learned the hard way by a group of 4 ex black op veterans with a grudge.

The story is the same, tyrants running the world. Enter men who can change the outcome for the better. This King and Slater book is another of these great books. This is a very fast read, and a sitting on the edge of your chair books. I recommend it highly.
