Holy Shxt!!! I did NOT see that ending coming!! 🤯🤯 I knew Ross had some secrets but that was a doozy! This was a great part one to this series! Sin and Grayson were bffs and were real ride or die’s! Unfortunately tragedy separated them and now Sin is on the run! Just when she’s reestablished roots and had a great man, a bomb dxmn near explodes in her face! Whew Chenell Parker know she can write some stories!!! Let me get my tail over to book 2!

I ate this book up quickly. The storyline wasn’t what I expected but I wasn’t disappointed at all. I was into it and I can’t wait to read the conclusion in book 2.

Perfect for the summer.. sizzling & HOT(Spoiler)
This book was hard to put down. It had that “Chenell Stamp” with the luxury and Boughetto feel but BAYBEE…. Someone lit a spark to Ms. Parker!!
At 7% I knew I was SOLD! The overall drama and anticipation only multiplied with each scene! Chenell is always detailed but there was something about the description in this book that kept me on edge. I’m a vivid reader, so I play the scenes in my head, and I could literally see this happening as a movie/show.
The characters are fully developed which usually leave no room to grow, however, their development increased the drama and overall structure of the story. It wasn’t something that had to “build “ they came already “ready.” But Chenell still left room for her characters to undergo changes (whether positive or neg) they had that room.
Yesenia seems to have it bad! Like .. she can’t catch a break. I love her personality and unwavering strength. She’s not a weak character at all. I also like Yahir. It’s not often you see such a strong lead in a father.
Now Grayson… so soon, so, soon! His death brought on a series of events. It also intensified the drama and hidden drama i didn’t consider.
The topping was Chief and his hidden lifestyle and just when you think everything is falling in place, BAM here comes Ross!
Without giving away more, I highly urge readers.. true avid readers, to give this book a try! You won’t be disappointed and if your like me… you’ll be staking Chenell for your next fix.

Sin and Grayson have been best friends since grade school. They were the epitome of ride or die. Grayson's traumatic childhood alters his adulthood, but he doesn't let that stop him from being the best version of himself. But he has secrets, and lots of them. Those same secrets alter things in a major way between the friends. Forcing Sin into a much different life to help her cope with how things turned out.
This was my first read by this author and it will not be my last. The author is from my hometown, New Orleans, so that's what prompted me to read this book. That and the fact that all of her readers were desperately awaiting book two. Now I see what the hype was about. This book was really good! The storyline was much different from the traditional urban fiction read, which was a major plus for me. There's drama, there's ratchetness and most importantly, a plot twist that I did not see coming. I'm on to book two!

Lord this book was soooo good!!! There were so many moments where my mouth was wide open!

INTRIGUE GONE RAMPANT!
I had made a decision to purchase this book, but not to read this book, until the finale was written and released. But, I found that I could not adhere to that decision simply because I knew my palette for superb reader’s delight was to be had by the writings created by Ms. Chenell Parker, within its pages, so I decided to partake. After I imbibed to my hearts delight, I was propelled to write this review, in order to convince others to taste this delectable morsel of reading literature!
Have you ever read a book that has you picking it up when you approach a yellow traffic light or a red stop sign? If not, then you have never read a book by Ms. Chenell Parker!
As is her modus operandi, Ms. Parker catapults her characters onto the stage of our repetoire of emotions and tap dances on every last one of them until we are drained and want to wave the white flag of surrender! But she does not let us linger too long in the bed of a singular emotional episode before she propels us into a whirlwind of traumatic experiences that will dwell indefinitely in our memory banks.
Well let me tell you right now! Ms. Parker has pulled the pin out of the grenade with this super duper read! She has pealed back another layer of her multi-layered tier of greatness! She has conquered the realm of edge of your seat, jaw dropping, saliva building mystery/drama writing! Not the kind of storytelling that we are used to in this genre of hood love stories, though we know she is the undisputed Queen of those books! No no! This book surpasses those written by such greats as James Patterson! You will have your heartbeat slowed, your palms sweat and your brain activity tested to the umpth degree!
Enough of my opinion. I adjure you to pick up your own copy of “CONFLICT OF INTEREST”, and form your own view of this magnificent read! I have no doubt that yours will concur with mine. Another job well done, Ms. Parker! Please please give me Part 2!

WTH!!!
This author doesnt disappoint with this book. I was waiting on part 2 so that i can start this series. I was drawn in from the very first page. But anything by this author will definitely have your interests piqued. You get to witness a real bonded friendship from childhood lasting into adulthood, relationship drama and of course the connving and scheming ways of some. This book has so many secrets, twists and turns that you begin to question who some of these characters really are. But like they say what's done in the dark will definitely come to light. And that ending just solidified the amount of drama that is about to unfold.

Part two please
This book was good read, I couldn’t put the book down, I finished it in 1 day. The author Chenell Parker did her thing, the character were well develop in the story.
Yesinia and Grayson were good friends, they look out for one another, they didn’t let friends or relationship come between them. When the tragedy occurred it was so sad and someone needs to pay.
Sometimes the person your involved with, is not looking out for your best interest, in which Yesinia found out. I hope this question is answered in the next book; Why didn’t Yesinia turn in Grayson telephone? Can’t wait for part two.

Very different from rest of her work
One of my fav authors but this book was just off. Not just the gay parts but also didn’t really feel like a romance story at all. More of a hood crime mystery book. I will continue to support but hopefully part two gets back to more of what we are used to

Couldn't put it down...in a bad way
This book popped up as a book I may like....I did not. But I kept reading because I was hoping it would get better and I also like to give a new author a chance. On the plus size...I don't remember seeing grammatical errors but that was about it. The characters didnt mesh. It was just a bunch of drama. And.....it ended on a cliffhanger. Smh. A mess.

I hate that it’s a wait…
This read was really good!!
I loved Yesinia and Grayson’s friendship. She accepted him for him and was there until the end. I hated what happened to Gray Bay by his own family. Even the grandma wasn’t any good for him even tho she took care of him.
I hope they get Chiefs ass because men like him need to be exposed.
Yasinia’s mother wasn’t shit and I hope her little sisters get their life on track and become something other than menace.
Now the question is WTF!!! Mr. Fatterson is Ross the Boss, the name speaks for its self, what I didn’t expect was for him to be THE MAN!!! I knew he was in the legal world when he said he is the guy the helps the bad guys looks good. Now that itch Keena, idk I had a feeling she would be messy but for her to be friends well BF’s with Stormie, rocked the foundation. I’m really rooting for Ross and Sin. I love their unconventional love story and I hope they can get passed this situation that is Stormy and the obvious conflict of interest. I’m sick we have to wait, I read so many books in between that I forget the title and lose information about the characters by the time the second part comes out. This book was released summer 21 and here we are kissing spring…Uh Ms.Parker don’t keep us in suspense too much longer.

Wow Grayson childhood and the despicable acts against him made him who he is which is not to trust anyone except his best friend Sin and just to oust all the perpetrators. Grayson lifestyle was colorful and dangerous. You know the saying “you live by the sword 🗡”. You get my drift.
Sin is somewhat gullible and some of her actions just be questionable. It took awhile to figure out who is the main hero. Meet Ross (no last name provided). Now how Sin “assumed” his last name because that was his baby sister’s name. Sin forgot they have different fathers. There were subtle clues to who this Ross character is, that made me say hmmm. Ross is also secretive just like Sin and he knows he got an entire situation at home, but when your lady friend no all your illegal business due to pillow talk you got to thread lightly.
Sin relationship with her dad is awesome! Her mom I got no words for her mother.
Based on Ross profession I’m a hundred percent he is tied in to what is going on in New Orleans legal and illegally IJS. Let the drama continues.

Now I have to start with how dumb can Katya be and I am not even talking about the Grayson thing. Poor baby just out there looking like a straight up clown. Now I absolutely loved Grayson and Sin relationship. She had is back and he had hers and I love that. People sometimes don't realize that the things we need can come from the people we love most. This definitely had some twists that I did not see coming for real. I always liked coming of age stories because childhood can determine adult/young adult hood. Ross is definitely a boss and it seems he has a little more explaining to do other than about Stormi. Keena being newsy paid off this time. I loved the bond Yesinia and Grayson shared. Grayson was unapologetically who he was and although he was dealt a bad hand he made the most of it. Chief was in denial big time and deserves whatever comes to him for handling things the way he did because he was too afraid to live in his truth. My heart hurt for Sin because she couldn't catch a break. Mikell was a whole bitch! Like dude really was looking for a payout when he knew the consequences of his actions. Sin's sisters were as hood as they came and it was unfortunate they had to experience such a big loss to realize they needed to do more with their lives. I can't wait for the finale because I'm really hoping Ross and Sin will put everything out in the open so they can move forward in their relationship.

Great book
This book just got heated at the end, that cliffhanger was something else.. i can’t believe that Ross is the boss literally .. i can’t wait to see how this plays out with him and Sin.. i like them together i hope it works out because they both have some secrets going on. More so Ross cause Keena done told the business. I was sad when Grayson died he didn’t deserve to go out like that. This chief guy will stop at anything to get Sin . Chenell never disappoints
This story had a few twists and turns but I loved it! It was sort of a slow start, I wasn’t quite sure what was the main plot until 3 quarters through. However, once Mr. Ross entered the picture it started to come together! Yesinia definitely has trust issues due to her past relationships and is closed off to letting anyone all the way in. Ross obviously has the same issues. At the end, they come face to face with one another. I’m sure there is a lot of explaining that Ross has to do as well as Sin. I know Chenell will bring it all together in book 2. I can’t wait!!

Jaw Dropping!! (SPOILER ALERT)
I was so intrigued with this book. When I was 50% in, I began recommending it to my friends. GGGGUUURRRLLL, I cried when Gray Bae was killed. Mikell was a WHOLE you know what for what he did to Sin. How you going to set her up for some money? Like really, you shitted on my dreams AND now you wanna set me up for some money?! On to Ross the Boss, I never would've thought he was a lawyer, not only a lawyer, but the HNIC!!! Then for his receptionist to say that he's engaged to her best friend! I do think that he has ties to Chief in some kind of way, though. Please part 2 me quickly!!!

Great book!!!

I hope everybody is exposed for the frauds they are. Now the twist with Ross I did not see coming. He is literally the boss! I hope Ross can get it together and she can forgive him for his secrets. But Keena is not a friend. I can't wait to see how the frauds are exposed and all the secrets come out!

Amazing as always💛💛💛💛💛
I have been anxiously awaiting this series and as always Ms Parker does not disappoint!!! Well thought out and executed storyline, characters have depth and personality. I love when the heroine is not a damsel in distress, when the love interest and the heroine are both actually humans that show humility, supportive and completely nontoxic family members, not to mention the author writes in such a vivid and descriptive way that you can definitely tell writing is her passion!!!

Omg, I knew the moment Sin noticed the glass office building being similar to her condo who she was about to meet. This is crazy!! She needed to tell him what she's running from and he should have been told her about dumb Stormy. I can't say much more without telling this book but just know Keena is about to get messy and bring the storm in literally. This cliffhanger is so disrespectful. Very good read and you will be hanging on the edge from beginning to end.

Sin and Grayson friendship was amazing and I loved how they were there for one another no matter what. My heart hurt for happened to him and I couldn’t imagine what Sin was feeling. Chief was ashamed of himself and acted off emotions. Mikell was jealous and selfish asf smh. Son should’ve listens to her people when they tried to tell her about him. Ross came in like a thief in the night lol, he’s got boss and BDE energy. The ending through me for a loop but in to part 2

Chenell Parker has done it again. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end and was pleasantly surprised by that ending. I can’t stand Chief’s down low behind and can’t wait until he gets what he deserves. Mikell and Vance were just scandalous and they need a little shake up in their lives as well. I like Ross and Sin together and hope that they can make their relationship work since they have so many secrets. I’m looking forward to reading book two.

I like Ross and Sin together and hope that they can make their relationship work since they have so many secrets. I’m looking forward to reading book two.

WOW SO AMAZING!!!
I loved the way that Sin loved Grayson, and the love he had for her also, you got me with Grayson death, i wanted him to last to the end of the story. I think he would have approved of Ross the Boss dating Sin, the ending had me on pins and needles, can't wait to see what is next. Will Ross and Sin be true to each other, just the shock on her face says it all..PART 2 ASAP!!! Great job...

The name of the book says its all.
This book made me laugh and made me cry all together. Chenell parker never disappoints. (Ray bay) Garyson's death really had me in tears. Sin and him are the definition of true friends. Am dying to know what will happen between Sin and Ross never saw that coming honestly. Another great great read hats off to u Ms Parker..... I really hope all can be settled with chief going to jail and all be well in new orleans for sin. Need part 2 asap

Something ain't adding up!
Wow that ending had me hollering! I knew Ross was the owner of the legal firm! This book is good but sad too! It really doesn't all connect yet but I am sure Ms. Parker will bring it all together in the end! I really didn't understand why the video of what happened to Grayson wasn't forwarded the whole phone wasn't needed. Oh well, waiting patiently Chenell, please don't make us wait too long!

IKYFL!!! I need that finale, right now! I usually have some idea of what’s about to happen but the ending floored me. Ms Parker, Ms Parker, Ms Parker!!! The cliff hanger was phenomenal! As usual, we have romance, urban-street-thug drama, mystery, greed and money taking place in the wonderful city of New Orleans, La, but the author has stepped it up another notch in this book. I don’t know how she keeps putting out these bangers but I’m here for them…

As Expected
For some reason I put off reading this when it first came out and now I'm sorry that I did! This book had my feelings all over the place. From Grayson to Essie to Yahir and even Keena gave me weird vibes from the beginning lol. Ross the Boss sure is something else lol. But the ending had me shook. I had to set the book down and breathe again lol. Great read but I should have known
