When the Amicable grain elevator explodes, the town is left in shock and disbelief as their livelihoods are threatened. The amicable series continues. When an explosion kills one of their own, big city insurance assessor Stedman arrives jn town to "assess" the claim with a view to minimise the payout. The town has other ideas!

Small town life is interesting. This book was a quaint yet insightful look inside the small town of Amicable. It has a good storyline with good character development. The author had insightful perspectives on the dilemmas and plights of the people in Amicable.
Onto the next book in the series!

What an awful book. The author made a mockery of small town Iowa and its residents. Not only that, it was poorly written and predictable.
