I will never forget being introduced to his friend, a WWI pilot who flew across the skies at the same time as the feared, legendary Red Baron. Meet Finn
&
Annie
They are new insurance investigator partners.
What I absolutely loved about this cozy mystery series is the flaws and struggles of the two main characters. It makes it most interesting! They are both struggling with disabilities. Annie is deaf, and Finn is a former soldier struggling with PTSD who lives with a prosthetic leg.
Sure the cases themselves are a bit lackluster with simple titles, but they were indeed cozies and super fun to read. There is also an ongoing story line between the two main characters and other parts of their lives that has me hooked. I was super surprised to find there were three more short stories written in the Finn & Annie series outside of volume one that directly follow this volume. I’m so looking forward to reading them too!

I enjoyed this so much. A few laugh out loud moments you won't want to miss. Both Main characters have a disability, and the ability to laugh at themselves and some of the absurdity that comes with disabilities, rather than always taking themselves seriously. (I am an ambulatory wheelchair user, trust me, you learn to laugh rather than cry)
These are perfect bite sized complete mysteries that combine to make a wonderful series.
I'll be looking for more from this author with this set of characters.

Finn and Annie
Christopher Greyson right about Finn and Annie, both have issues. Finn lost part of his leg in Iraq. Annie lost her hearing at the age of 14 years old. Annie has two children, an ex-husband, who like to drink way too much plus he was abusive. I love the short stories. You can read them in a quick setting. They are good clean stories. If you say an ugly word, example jerk, or stupid you have to put $.25 in the ugly word jar. Finn and Annie complement each other helping each other with their handicaps.

Found this on Goodread and that is exactly what it was. A cute series of short stories, enjoyed reading how their relationship evolved. I would recommend this series of light reading.
