It was the perfect arrangement. Marry him to stay in the country. Save my job. Say goodbye.
But life threw us a curveball in the name of love…
He was my best friend’s father. Yes, I should’ve known that it was a bad idea. Between stealing kisses and falling into his bed… I was convinced that we could keep it a secret. The connection was undeniable. The chemistry? Even hotter. It was unreal. But that wasn’t the only thing that was unbelievable. My pregnancy was as well. A surprise baby that I didn’t think was even possible. My future was so clear to me. And all I could see was scandal and a big broken heart…
Fall in love with this deliciously sinful, kindle melting hot, and forbidden temptation from Sofia T Summers. No cheating or cliffhanger – EVER. All books in this series stand alone and do not have to be read in order.
Look it wasn’t BAD. The writing was well done. It just wasn’t that I enjoyed reading and didn’t want to spend another 5 hours of my time on it.
For some reason, the first chapter kind of rubbed me the wrong way, I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s the fact that the characters didn’t seem interesting and the first scene was them getting together. I didn’t have enough time to care.
After that the story actually starts three weeks earlier which I HATE. Just start the story at the beginning! What was the point of giving us a lackluster getting together scene to just go backwards and tell us the story. It’s not like the title doesn’t give away whats going to happen.
Then it was slooooooooooow.
Lastly, the straw that broke the camels back is that Adrian is a widower and he goes on and on about how amazing his dead wife is, that she’s his great love, but he just needs to find someone. There’s nothing wrong with that but I don’t like reading about it. I want the heroine to be the heroes great love. If I wanted reality I wouldn’t read romance.
I got out of this one early and have no regrets. Readers less sensitive to the above things might like it. Like I said, the writing wasn’t BAD…
Fab read from this gifted author... The story's been covered in the blurb & previous reviews so I won't get into that in detail, the title covers the intention. What I can say is that I was intrigued from the get go, suspected someone deliberately targeted the heroine but didn't conceive the bitch was a racist but when her best friend's father steps up he was a true hero. The intention was marriage on paper only but their chemistry could not be denied. Age gap, so what, the heart knows what is right but for how long can they keep their affair secret? Highly recommended. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Jessica’s life is on track for reaching all of her goals. But being contacted by Immigration, over a paperwork mistake when she was a baby, has scrambled everything. She bumps into her best friend Nicole’s father and tells him what is happening to her. Adrian Davis is willing to marry her, and they will divorce once she gets her citizenship. But he does ask her to keep it a secret. It was to be a simple arrangement, no problem, right?
But the problem is, they both are attracted to each other and those feelings are actually real. So they take it a step further. And now she is pregnant, and will try to keep it a secret from Adrian because she is sure he won’t want a child in his life now. Is Adrian possibly already considering staying married? Isn’t it his decision too since they have already started their family? Will Nicole be upset with them (although I strongly state that two grown-ups should be able to decide they want each other without incurring the wrath of a family member)? Grab your copy and see whether Jessica can fix her citizenship status and find happiness with Adrian.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we get the story of Jessica Cartier & Adrian Davis. We first meet these two in Seal Daddy. See Adrian is Nicole's father and Jessica is her best friend. So when this book opens we find that Jessica is at a retirement party she "helped" (did most of the work) set up for her boss that is retiring. She is really hoping to get his director of the museum position but knows she must go through the hiring process. She is up against another woman who was supposed to help but with her ivy league attitude did nothing. The next night she goes to her 29th birthday party that her best friend is throwing her and sees her dad Adrian getting ready to leave with the children for a sleep over. She really wishes he could stay but understand his grandchildren are important to him. When these two next meet Jessica finds out there is a problem with the immigration papers her parents filled out for her when she was just a baby. Because of this mistake she may be deported unless she can find another way. Adrian is still trying to find his way since his wife died. He has moved into a smaller house and is working again. He has gotten over his issues with Nicole & Jason being together and is loving his time with his grandchildren but he knows he wants more. When he sees Jessica thoughts he never though he would have about a younger woman come to him. He doesn't think she would want someone like him though. When he hears of her dilemma he knows what to do marry her. Can these two find a HEA they never knew was possible for them or will the lies and secrets be just to much?
Another hit out of the park by this author. This story especially Jessica's issues really spoke to the woman in me. I really thought the author did an amazing job with this story. There is so much I want to tell you but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I want it to go on? This 2nd chance , older, Younger Love story Is complicated but sexy is sensual and beautiful. Read their story
Nicole's best friend, Jessica needed help when it came to an immigration glitch. She did not know about, it since she assumed her whole life, she’s a US citizen. It is a matter of a box her mother checks, it's the wrong box at her birth. But since her parents had passed there needs to be an investigation.
All at a time, when it meant she had to make life changes, all on her birthday. She couldn’t burden Nicole because her being a new mother of her second, very newborn, she was still trying to multitasking, and looking extremely tired. She could shoulder this alone, but she needed to think.
Taking a long lunch, she walks to a waterfront, to think, and breaks down. Just as she decides to pick herself up, and stop acting like a crybaby. She turns to keep walking, needing to work out a plan; and walks right into, Adrian, Nicole’s father, who she had just run into at her party. Just when he is whisking the children away to babysit them, for the night. As Adrian, reaches a hand out to her, apologizing for running into her. She takes the blame because of her lack of attention, due to her ugly crying. To which he responds, she could never be ugly.
Adrian realizing there's a problem offers, to take her to lunch. Where he finds out the situation. When they hug goodbye, which they never do, they both feel something they never felt before, awareness. A few days go by, and, Adrian asks to meet again saying, he had a solution to her problems. You see, he found out she had gotten an eviction notice also, and time was almost, up as was the promotion interview. All of which depends on her being able to stay in the U.S.
When they meet, Adrian lays out his plan; but explains they can’t tell Nicole or Jason, her husband due to her frame of mind, her lack of sleep, and being overly stressed. Life becomes very interesting from here. Overall, this book was very well written. I must say, I didn't like it as much as I did in the first book I read by this author. I felt there were slow places. It could have been me. Anyway, well done. Adrian’s daughter hated to be treated like a baby, but she kept acting like a baby.
This gap book, of course, has sexual content, but you also find real-life issues. It has issues in their relationship most don't find in their twelve-year age gap, with genuine love.
If you have been reading this series you may be familiar with Nicole's best friend Jessica and Nicole's father Adrian. If this is your first time in the series, no problem, you can easily read it as a solo.
Adrian is Nicole's dad, he's known Jessica since she was young, he's widowed and recently was in a relationship with a younger woman who was using him. He doesn't plan on getting into a serious relationship at all again. When he finds out Jessica is looking at deportation he suggests they get married (on paper) to keep her in the USA.
Jessica thinks her life is on track. She's up for the job of her dreams and life is mostly good, then she finds out an error her parents made on paperwork 28 years ago may leave her with nothing. Adrian's offer is too good to pass up and even though it's fake, it doesn't take long for the lines to blur.
The chemistry between the two is a bit slow, probably due to their history and just not seeing each other that way. When things heat to though it doesn't take long. I found myself enjoying the story and the rollercoaster they go through.
I did have a couple of issues. 1. I didn't understand why neither wanted Nicole to know, if they told her it was for a visa I don't think she would have objected. 2. Adrian said that Jessica was raised by her mother's family after her parents died. He also said she was all alone and only he could help. Yet the next chapter we see her surrounded by her family, her grandmother, aunts, cousins...etc. A 4-hour drive is not that far, so does her family just not count??? I was super confused by this.

A quick read with a nice pace and good flow, FAKE MARRIED TO MY BEST FRIEND'S DADDY, was steamy and oh, so hot. The steaminess was built into the story which had a nice depth to it. It did not detract from the story. I liked the characters and that it was connected to SEAL DADDY but can be read as a standalone. I liked that we could see how the characters lives had evolved since SEAL DADDY.
The characters of Adrian and Jessica were fleshed out nicely. The book was told in alternating chapters by one or the other of them. I like that there were family relationships and traditions. There were conflicts, lots of secrets and loving as well as happy times and ultimately love. There were nice descriptions that made it easy to visualize where we were. The epilogue took place six and a half months after the story ends and gave me the closure I look for as well as the happily ever after.
Ms. Summers has often taken me out of my comfort zone. When the stories are well written and fleshed out the hot between the sheets and elsewhere moments enhance the storytelling.

I really enjoyed reading, Fake Married to My Best Friend's Daddy by Sofia T Summers because it was a very steamy and forbidden story about Adrian and Jessica. Jessica was Adrian's daughter's best friend, so she had known Adrian for a while. Jessica needed help with a problem and Adrian was just the person to help her, but they had to keep it a secret. I loved the intensity of their relationship and the steaminess as well. I was really rooting for the two of them to stay together and become a family. But secrets have a way of sometimes destroying relationships. I would highly recommend reading this story about an older man and younger woman. I also loved the cover of this book. Adrian is a pretty good looking dad. I can totally picture him looking like this.

Here we have another book in the series Forbidden Temptations. This is one that I have not read before. Well, the best friend's dad yea I've read these types but not when it was brought this way. She is in need of help staying in the US since she grew up here but apparently might not be an actual citizen. Now here he comes out of the blue running into her. Since he is one that helps to make things right so to say he gets her to marry him in a secret marriage. But why keep it from his daughter? Will she freak out? She is the one from the previous book so you might want to read that first. There are many things that happen in this story but it isn't a long read so it goes at a great pace. Enjoy this story as I surely did.

Falling In Love Unexpectedly - Jessica is in a daze after receiving unexpected life changing news and ends up bumping into her best friend’s dad, Adrian. He offers to help her with her predicament with conditions, however, everything changes as they spend more time together. Unfortunately, things get more complicated when a miracle happens in Jessica’s life, which potentially has an implications on her relationship with Adrian and his daughter.
Just like Nicole and Jason’s story, this one will draw you in from the beginning and keep you turning the pages as you try to anticipate if Jessica and Adrian will get their happily ever after. I will definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to experience reading a wonderful book.

While reading Nicole & Jason's story I kept thinking how great it would be if Adrian & Jessica ended up together. Their story was so good and so hot, that when I saw Adrian's & Jessica's story was next, I just couldn't see how they would work. I really hesitated to even add this book to my library. I dreaded trying to read this story. I was sure it wouldn't be have as good as the first book.
I planned to read the first 2 chapters, then skip to the middle. I was going to read 2 chapters in the middle and then the last chapter & the epilogue. I was hooked from chapter 1. In all honesty, this story was even better than Nicole's & Jason's. I read the entire book.. Where the first book was hot, this one was blazing! Sofia did such a great job with both books, I wish their were more friends to pair up!
I really enjoyed reading about these two characters, I also enjoyed how it interacts with the previous book. I loved how strong willed Jessica was and how she went after what she wanted. Adrian was just clueless and didnt see love coming at all lol. I loved how they click as a couple, it was good. The only thing is there could of been more drama with the immigration, it could of been more drama and more storyline I guess. Plus Tiffany she didnt cause enough upset, they both seemed like wasted strong-lines. I love reading this series thou n I wasnt disappointed at all. Well written as always. Highly recommend

This was a story of marriage by circumstances. Adrian had known Jessica as his daughters best friend for several years. After the death of his wife he wasn’t sure what to do with himself. Jessica was in a sticky situation, her citizenship was in question and she was losing her place to live. She ran into Adrian literally and told him about her problem. Adrian suggested they get married and no one would need to know. Keeping secrets never works out though and his daughter Nicole finds out. Some drama but manageable. They built their relationship from the beginning of the marriage, they fell in love and a miracle baby was a blessing in the end. A lot better editing on this one but still a few errors but not enough to take away from the story.
Jessica is on the verge of getting everything she has worked so hard to achieve. Then in a blink of an eye a visit from an immigration agent could threaten everything she ever worked for and knew. When she literally bumps into her best friends Nichole father Adrian she spills her troubles. He offers to pretend marry her but he wants to keep it a secret. What happens when a purely… contractual agreement turns physical and their desires can't be denied? What could possibly go wrong? How about a truly unexpected pregnancy and his daughter and her best friend feeling betrayed. Could they lose everything? I received a free ARC from Booksprout an I'm voluntarily leaving my review.
If you read Sofia T. Summers book Seal Daddy you met Jessica, Nicole's best friend. You also met Adrian, Nicole's father. Adrian ran into Jessica one day when she received bad news that her citizenship was in question. It appeared she had two choices return to Canada or get married. Adrian asks her to marry him and thus starts their secrets. I normally don't enjoy these books because they seem to be the same thing over and over. But, I really enjoyed this book and the one I read before it Seal Daddy. Ms. Summers did an outstanding job on both of these books.

Beautiful love story. I loved reading Adrian & Jessica's love story it was sweet, romantic, hot, forbidden & selfless. I loved the friendship she had with Nicole his daughter but loved the relationship Jessica & Adrian had but was wary of how Nicole was going to react. Although their relationship started off as a marriage of convenience so she could stay in the country but it soon turned into more when their feelings changed & became stronger, I was desperate for them to tell each other how the really felt & to have a happy ever after.

Jessica's life was finally going as planned until a snag made when she was just a baby came to light and because her parents were no longer alive, she had to find a way so that she could remain in the US. Jessica is a good friend to Adrian's daughter and when he learned of her plight, he had the solution, but it was a risky one marries him. Can Adrian and Jessica adhere to the terms of their agreement and if it is made known will she lose her friend, and will Adrian lose his daughter? This story draws you in and have you in Adrian's and Jessica's corner to get their chance for a happily ever after!
Adrian and Jessica's story pulls you in from the beginning , and it was unusual circumstances that had her and Adrian her best friends dad uniting to keep her from being deported , but finding love along the way takes them both by surprise , they are great characters and i loved catching up with his daughter Nicole and her husband Jason(and funnily enough his friend) and their little family , definitely one to read

I thought this was an interesting read that was a little different than I have read before. Jessica is in trouble because of something that happened with she was a baby and her best friends father Adrian is in the right place at the right time to help her. They decide to marry so she can stay but there marriage doesn't stay in name only. They have their issues but in the end they get their happy ending. I liked their story.

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were intriguing. Jessica and Adrian were drinking red wine and they were pulled together by lusty pleasures. She wanted to live in America so they thought they could get married considering they were both single so what's the harm as long as no-one found out. Will they fall in love? Will they get married or will it fall apart.

Jessica could be deported for a clerical error that happened when she was a baby. Suspicious circumstances maybe created by snobby co-worker. She runs into Adrian, her best friend's Nicole's father and tells about her problems. Adrian is a problem solver. A secret marriage occurs. Irony, remember Nicole married Dad best friend, Jason. You will love this well written book about secrets kept from friends and family .
The author has given us a wonderful older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Adrian and Jessica and does not let go. She is the best friend of his daughter and feels the need to help her out when she has trouble with immigration. But what happens when they allow their true feelings to come to the surface?

I’m not going to break this book down, I’m just going to tell you to READ IT! Adrian finds himself in the same situation as his best friend Jason…in love with a woman- Jessica, 20 years younger, and oops their fake marriage isn’t so fake after all. Let me tell you, Adrian is something else. I can’t believe this is the same Papa from Seal Daddy because he definitely brings the heat for Jess.

Fake Married to My Best Friend's Daddy by Sofia T. Summers is a smashing best-seller, in my opinion. Adrian fake married Jessica when her citizenship was questioned. Nicole was Jessica's best friend and Adrian's daughter. Nicole was married to a man her dad's age and he had been furious enough for it to come to blows. For this reason, Adrian and Jessica kept it a secret from Nicole. It is a book I heartily recommend to all romance lovers.
I just really enjoyed how Sofia Summers incorporates each book and their lives together. Especially how Adrian and Jessica’s chemistry just took over their situation.
I’m looking forward to seeing what else Sofie has in stored.

Holy hotness this book was absolutely fantastic and had me enthralled from the beginning until the end and the storyline flowed throughout the book. Jessica needs to to get married to stay in the country when she runs into her best friends father and its than Adrian Wants to help her out but will they end up with more problems in the end?
