"Taking What's Necessary" is the story of Penny and Maverick.

WOW. Hot and sexy with taboo dirty talk and grade A anal. I have to be VERY honest, medical smut makes me uncomfortable and I was cringing at the whole dr/patient scenario- especially all the intimate exam talk. It was like a cheesy porno from a woman's POV. However, I love this series as it is one of the best by AR and gave me my soulmate Valentina, hence I enjoyed it.

This is a fast read like super fast. So don't expect much with this series. Also touches on CNC kink.

Penny is getting her yearly check up and has a new doctor who well is making her very 💦
And hes her new gyno... Dr. Maverick is hawt and that voice gets Penny off and his technique in checking her..

By the end there's a twist which I kinda figured out since this force submission always has a twist.

Don’t expect anything from these stories, don’t even be serious about criticizing it - they are all downright smutty. You can also say weird, frowned upon, maybe a little disgusting, hawt, jaw-dropping. They’re all that.

Hot hot hot!

I've actually been very curious about doctor erotica lately but haven't actually found anything good to try. So when this came up as the last one in this CNC role play series I was super excited.

I really liked it. Like the others in the series, we start the story knee deep into the CNC fantasy. And near the end it's revealed who they are to each other -- although I sort of predicted this one a bit.

The scene was super hot. Dr. Maverick (ahem Night) played his role perfectly. Some of the things he comes up with made me laugh out loud. Like this one:

"Penny, this is a mature situation, and I'd appreciate you being professional." I smile as I push my boxer briefs down and my cock springs out between us. I'm rock solid, and the tip is swollen and red with need. "I'm able to use my cock to penetrate you gently so that you stretch with the least amount of pain as possible. Hold still and we’ll begin."
"Wait, you're going to have sex with me?" She tries to sit up, and I place my hand on her mound with my thumb over her clit. Just a little pressure on her in the right spot and she stops moving.

But seriously, it was actually quite steamy. So long as you realize it's a role play fantasy and not real. Otherwise it would be awful and Penny would be an idiot for falling for it. lol

Overall a great conclusion to this CNC fantasy quickies series. I enjoyed most of them and I could see coming back to some of these in the future.

La verdad no sé que fue lo que leí. ¿Un libro de una sola escena y que encima sexualiza una profesión médica? No hubo trama, literal nopor escrito.
La verdad es que no me gusto y no le encuentro sentido a que a alguien le parezca hot algo que es antietico e ilegal, pero bueno es mi opinión y entiendo que a otros les pueda encantar 39 páginas de esto.
Justificar las acciones de los protagonistas bajo el término de es ficción y si no te gusta no lo leas me parece totalmente absurdo.
Decimos ser feministas, decimos querer que nos sexualizen, pero después aparecen este tipo de libros en los que se romantiza y sexualiza un acto medico, que si pasara en la vida real, no le gustaría a esa persona terminar toqueteada o manoseada (violada sin ir más lejos) por un médico.
Este tipo de contenido dañan la reputación de los hombres ginecólogos bajo el concepto de que no existe, olvidando que la ficción tiene una base importante en la realidad.
Decimos también que erotico no es pornografia, pero este libro es lo más cercano a ser nopor textual.

Man, I usually have NO problem disconnecting like real world things from fiction, but this was haaard. I know, KNOW, how this series goes, have read them all, and knew how this particular story was done. But like after watching that Athlete A, I was really, really, really, uncomfy reading this.
It's NOT Alexa Riley, I know they meant it to be read the same way as the rest, but I just couldn't this time. Just made me feel skeevy.

Let us be honest: we did not really expect much from this book, so we could not really be disappointed. That is why I cannot understand why there are so many people commenting that the story is too unrealistic and weird. Because reading this book is obviously made like watching a steamy porn.

But his whole doctor-patient concept is really kinky and therefore not for everyone's taste. The plots could have been a bit more detailed to make it feel less like a porn and therefore a bit longer and more novelistic.

And I also think that the twist at the end is really important and was placed there for a reason. The author(s) obviously wanted to make the readers feel better by making the whole story more consensual through this. The reader could still enjoy the forced actions of the plot up to this point. So for me it was a quick read that felt forbidden, but still very hot.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Taking what’s necessary is the ninth book in the ‘’forced submission’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and steamy. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Penny is nervous for her yearly Ob gyn appointment with a new dr. Will he put her at ease?
The chemistry between Maverick and Penny is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is a steamy read.

Guess what, this book was completely...UNNECESSARY. It didn't match the previous books because of Riley's writing style or her mojo or whatever change and they don't write those OTT alpha males as they used to and I really miss it. If I want to read a proper romance I will go and pick up one, but I don't expect that from Riley. I want them to be dirty and sexy and hot. But, well, those alpha males are not in picture anymore, which is really a shame.

The thing about this series to remember is that you have to trust the authors. This is part of their Forced Submission series. These books may not be everyone’s cup of tea. This book especially so because it’s a doctor and ‘patient’. Not everyone is comfortable with that but if you’re familiar with the series you know how the endings go and can anticipate the permission that was given before the story we get.

Really hot until the last chapter which was a bit lame (I've read enough of this series to anticipate exactly the ending they had), and sort of ruined the whole vibe for me.

Would be 4 starts if not for the super-predictable and cheesy ending.

I will say, perhaps don't read it before bed because I had some real trouble falling asleep afterwards...
