Wait for Me is one unexpected treat! J.J. Valentin created a beautifully-told story about love and loss and the power of faith that captured my attention right from the very start. I had no idea what the book would be about but I found myself completely enraptured by the tale of a boy and the girl he was always meant to adore. Oh and adore her he did.

Told from the perspective of an old man to an unknown visitor on his porch step, the tale of Nicholi and his Sadie as they grew up together as neighbors is full of innocence that quickly changes to that of fear and unforeseen circumstances. What these two endure just to live a life away from the unexpected evil that is suddenly a part of their lives is nothing short of miraculous. And the absolute love they feel for each other is truly beautiful. They are meant to be and there is no doubt it is forever.

The author very carefully uses the basis of faith to get his point across more than once and I must say it was refreshing to read a book filled with a lovely purity I don't come across often.

I like the author's writing style and his ability to capture the reader's attention without having to resort to the usual tactics found in the romance community. I was in tears more than once as this wonderful little love story crept into my heat and I found myself craving more as the last lines were read.

I look forward to reading the author's other work and am hopeful he continues to give us stories that grip the heart and soul so fiercely.

If anyone has read my other reviews I have stated that 4 stars is a great book. Five stars are just excellent. This book actually brought tears to my eyes and that is hard to do. So for that, yes you got the 5 stars.

Nicholi and Sadie live across the tall grass from each other. Thier parents are friends and they have been inseparable from birth.

Nicky finds out the truth of the horrors that are within the walls of Sadie’s house and he will do anything to protect her even when others will not. There is only one thing to do RUN!

Then Sadie and Nicky turn 18 and she decides to go back home. When Nicky can’t stop her he goes with her to face her Demons.

This book is about abuse, infidelity, forgiveness and true love that can never die even if one does.

If you easily cry during sad stories make sure you have some tissues near by.

This is a story that is so tragic, yet beautiful. A story that is shared, spanning decades, but is eternal. A story that is filed with so much pain, love, hatred and forgiveness. A story that reminds us that our actions and choices of today effect our tomorrows. This is not a story that you read, but that you feel.
I devoured this book. It was so easy, fascinating to read. In-depth characters that drew me in. As I've finished reading I have a feeling of wanting, but completeness too! I love how this author draws such emotion from the characters as well as from me!

What an awe-inspiring story! Not to mention, the cover art is totally gorgeous!

This one kept me on the edge of my seat, literally. I had the opportunity to listen to this beauty on my kindle while at work. After taking that leap, I wouldn't recommend listening at work because I had to shut my eyelids to keep tears from dropping on my desk. This is my thought: Wait for Me should be read in the comforts of your home surrounded by your favorite blanket, drink and a freshly opened box of Kleenex's.

This sorrowful but hopeful tale will stay with you long after the last page is turned.

The last 6 lines of chapter 10......had me sobbing! The way this story was constructed and played out was really well done. The author weaved a heart wrenching yet lovely text. My emotions were all over the place while reading this. I absolutely loved Chapter 10 and won’t forget it for a long time. I look forward to more stories from this author.

Wait for Me by J.J. Valentin is a beautiful story filled with love and loss. Nicholi and Sadie's story will both break and warm your heart.

Wait for Me shows the reader that sometimes you need to lose everything before you can find yourself. We all have a path that we are meant to follow but sometimes life will take you on a detour. I feel that J.J. navigates the reader through Wait for Me with grace and purpose.

A truly heartfelt novel.

This book released my heavy heart.

What can you say when your life has been full of pain, what you thought was guilt and unconditional love? I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this book and only sleep made me out it down. You will find a new beginning in your heart after reading this if you hold deep any of the feelings I listed above. All wrapped up in one simple covered book. Wow. I will be looking for the brightest stars from now on. Thank you.

Forgive and let go. He is there to carry our burdens with us. Love never dies. True love will always be there. Such a blessed love story between Nicky and Sadie. Constant reminder that HE is always there for you and that HE would never give you anything you couldn’t handle, you just gotta believe in HIM.

It was honestly very underwhelming from what the summary reads. Very predictable, 'turns' that you could see coming from miles away, nothing really felt like it had me hooked or unable to put the book down. Its a nice story, well written .. just poorly executed
