I'd forgotten how much I enjoy Katy Lee's writing. This one was a nail-biter for sure with a woman who witnesses a crime and tries to prove that she's still got what it takes for the FBI despite being on forced medical leave. But she sure isn't expecting her amnesiac ex-fiance to drop out of the sky to interfere in her plans!

I generally tend to enjoy amnesia and second-chance stories, but this one was really well done and definitely stands out in those examples. I also loved the serious plot twists that kept coming all the way to the very end. I definitely need my own copy to re-read.

The ending had so many twists and turns! With these Harlequin books I almost always can tell how it will end, who the bad guy is. But this time I was completely blind sided. Great book! I would recommend it to anyone.

Have an oxygen tank on standby for all the whiplash, breath-snatching moments that will pummel you from start to finish -- but it especially builds up at the end. Phew! Action, adventure, danger to the nth degree not to mention deception and betrayal!

And then there's the second chance romance that places a whole new twist on the amnesia trope. I've never read anything like it before. All kinds of emotional turmoil as Jett and Nicole struggle with their unexpected reunion. And there's a dog! Tank is uber smart and brave and everything noble in a K-9 companion. Happy sigh.

The kind of romantic suspense you want to devour in one sitting because there just isn't a good place to leave off reading.

(4.5)This was a first read for me by Katy Lee. It was also different, the "quantity" of faith. It would be a great first read for someone wanting intrigue and suspense and believe but are still leery of faith in a book. The ultimate leader I pegged the first time they came on the page, but Katy Lee was such a great writer that I was led a way from that thought. This book hit life on so many levels and people trying, failing, some giving up some fighting to do right, it really had a lot going on. I will definitely read another book by Katy Lee. I have t0 say all the inspiration suspense rock, they are all so real with dealing with faith some being strong in faith, some who have turned a way. Bad things happen to good people, and all with intriguing plots.

The story line of this one was really good with several twists I didn’t expect. I liked Nic a lot but struggled with liking Jett at first. By the end, I liked him though! Good read.

Loved it!! The first chapter starts full on action, I read the first chapter twice just to keep up. The writing is solid and kept up the pace until the very end. Was compelled to finish in one sitting! Definitely reminds a person of the power of forgiveness and love. And we all need a Tank in our lives!

Holiday Suspect Pursuit by Katy Lee
Unraveling a murder mystery
could unlock his lost memories…
After a murderer strikes, former deputy Jett Butler and his search-and-rescue dog must work with the sole witness—FBI agent Nicole Harrington. But Nicole’s the ex-fiancée he left behind after a car accident gave him amnesia years ago. And in a fight to survive the holidays, remembering his past might be just as dangerous as facing the killer on their heels…
This is Nicole Harrington and Jett Butler and his dog Tank's story.
Only someone who had once looked death in the face and won would dare ski such a treacherous incline.
The daunting grade of the New Mexico mountain stretched steeply before her.
The snow-covered terrain could barely be called a slope; it was more like the side of a cliff. Nicole Harrington locked her boots into her skis and pushed out a deep breath of vapor. And fear.
Her ride up to the summit—a helicopter—had already lifted off and left her behind. There was only one way down.Straight.
Jett Butler let out a slow whistle from the controls of his Search and Rescue chopper. He scanned out his side window, peering through the treetops and down the mountain slope for any sign of the helicopter he had seen struggling only moments before.
No sign of smoke was a good thing, but that didn’t mean the aircraft wasn’t mangled in the thick trees. It had to be there somewhere.
“Do you see anything on your side?” Jett asked his partner.
Tank was the best Search and Rescue K-9 a deputy could ask for up in these perilous mountains. The Siberian Husky, safety-strapped into the seat beside Jett’s, lifted his snout to howl. The sound of the chopper’s rotors drowned out the dog’s reply, but he turned his piercing gray-blue eyes on his handler Tank’s black-and-white coat rippled with his flexing muscles. The dog wanted to run. The deep snow below only excited him more.
Holiday Suspect Pursuit by Katy Lee is a 5 star book.
I am looking forward to reading more books by Katy Lee.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Holiday Suspect Pursuit. I'm a big fan of Katy's so I was thrilled to get this book in the mail. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of suspense. It will have you sitting on the edge of your chair. I know you are going to love it.

FBI Agent Nicole Harrington heads down a mountain on skis to prove that she is back and able to do her job after being wounded last year. She stops to think about how she has to convince her boss she's ready to come back when she hears a chopper. Is it the same one she came up in? No! A different color but coming straight to her. She slips out of her skis and runs as the chopper hits the side of the mountain. As she watches the passenger shoots the pilot, grabs a bag, and starts to ski away but another rescue chopper is arriving. The man turns and sees Nic. He points the gun and shoots at her. She ducks behind a boulder then she freezes. So much for being ready!

Former Deputy, now SAR Jett Butler, and his K-9 partner, Tank are out to rescue the chopper he saw that was in trouble. He talks to the sheriff and tells him of his plan to land. Jett had been in an accident years ago had amnesia. He still can't remember and is no longer able to be a law enforcement officer. What he finds as he goes down the mountain is the fiance' he had forgotten. Now their lives are in danger as the killer wants to leave no witnesses. Can he keep them both safe?

A journey to keep ahead of the killer and keep each other alive. Can he find the answers to the memories he has lost? God has a plan for these two, a plan for hope and for a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life even in this time of turmoil.

Who can resist a canine book? Tank is Jett Butler's partner in Search and Rescue (SAR) on a mountain in New Mexico. He helps Jett not only find and rescue skiers, but he is there to help Jett and his ex-fiance FBI agent Nicole Harrington get back together.
Jett's amnesia, after a car accident, tore apart his and Nicole's relationship, when he had no clue who she, or anyone else he had ever met, was. Now a murderer has come to town. Jett and Nicole are pursuing the murdered before he murders again. Will Jett remember his past before the murderer strikes again? Or will someone else be murdered as he tries to work with his former fiance, who is still hurting from their break up?

I couldn't resist a canine, or a lost and found love book. I enjoyed this book thoroughly, it was actually shocking in some places, but I don't want to spoil it for you. See if you can figure it out before I did, when you buy your copy, or check it out from the library.

This is the first Love Inspired Suspense book I've read, and let me tell you, it was quite the ride! Nic Harrington is on medical leave from the FBI after taking a gunshot wound to the back and experiencing PTSD., Her former fiance, Jeff Butler, is now in Search and Rescue after a terrible car accident left him with amnesia, and he's no longer able to be a deputy. Can this former couple, along with Jeff's K-9 partner, Tank. be able to solve the mystery of who shot the pilot in the downed plane?

This was an intriguing, hard to put down, and enjoyable read to me. However, I did feel like there should've be an epilogue to tie up a lot of loose ends. Perhaps the author had already met her page quota?

I just read my first Katy Lee book,”Holiday Suspect Pursuit.” I certainly hope it won’t be my last! This was a well written, keep ‘em guessing until the end story. It is full of action and good characters with amnesia included in the storyline.
Jett Butler is search-and-rescue, along with his canine partner, a husky named Tank. Together they come to the aid of murder witness, and ex-fiancée, FBI agent Nicole Harrington. Jett suffered amnesia 10 yrs ago and sent Nic away. He still has amnesia, but can’t help trying to keep Nic away from whoever is trying to kill her. Several surprises along the way!

For me the cover of Holiday Suspect Pursuit set the tone for the book! The head of Search and Rescue- Jett Butler and his Siberian Husky, Tank, and Nicole Harrington cross paths after ten years. After a car accident left Jett with total amnesia, his then fiance, Nicole, went to work for the FBI. Now, she can identify a murderer and her life is in danger. He and Tank are trying to keep her safe. I enjoyed this Love Inspired Suspense story. The author's descriptive writing made it easy to visualize all that was happening. I liked Jett and Nicole, all the twists/turns and surprises, and the inspirational parts included throughout the book.

“No matter how hard Nov had worked to toughen her demeanor for her line of work, her need to care for people won out. She would do anything for the safety of another.

Even commit a felony.”

⭐️⭐️💫2.5

This was a romance/adventure/mystery book.

Jett is a search and rescue guy. He lost some of his memory. He had a full life, a family and even a woman he was going to marry. But with his memory loss he just couldn’t keep those relationships. Nic, is taking a mandatory break from her job as an FBI agent when a helicopter goes down on the mountain where she’s skiing. When she investigates the scene she stumbles into a dramatic crime. Now her and her ex fiancé, Jett are back in each other’s orbit, as they work together to solve the mystery.

This was ok. It was an easy read, but predictable.

After a murder occurs, former deputy Jeff Butler and his search-and-rescue dog must work with the only witness- FBI agent Nicole Harrington. Nicole is also his ex-fiancée he broke up with after a car accident gave him amnesia.

This story was definitely suspenseful. Quite a few twists and turns. Nic and Jett were a little hard to warm up to at first, but I eventually got there. I loved the Husky Tank. He stole the story for me. It was a good read overall.

Another great suspenseful read from one of my favorite authors. I look forward to the rest of this series.

Favorite quote:
“This would make my mom happy, but it will also give us the strongest marriage possible. We do nothing without God at the center. We are strong together, but we are stronger with Him in charge. He has to be the one calling the shots.”

I enjoyed the plot in this intense suspense novel but got very tired of Nicole not understanding Jett's traumatic brain injury. She was hurt by his memory loss but continued to hold that against him. I found that part of the story line tedious

Ok

Not the best mystery, and the introduction of faith was a bit delayed. Middle of the road suspense, I just didn’t get a good feel for the characters.

FBI Agent Nicole Harrington has come home to her mountain to recover from a gunshot wound. As she is skiing, she sees a helicopter crash and then the pilot shot dead. Rescue and search Jett Butler and his dog Tank come to Nic’s rescue. It’s been 10 years since their engagement ended. 10 years since Jett’s memories were gone forever. He and Nic were in a hit and run which left Jett with amnesia. Can they put aside all the pain and find out what is happening on the mountain? Can they protect Nic from a man that has already attempted to kill her? I hope you will certainly find out.

I loved this action packed story. I loved finding out about Nic and Jett’s story and the twist at the end. It was a story of coming home and finding out what matters. A story of finding God again. A story of 2nd chances.
