In the eerie town of Lanetown, where ancient legends whisper through the trees, Dr. Jane Anderson never expected to find love—especially not with a man like Dean Smith. Mysterious, dangerously handsome, and burdened by an ancient curse, Dean is unlike anyone she has ever met.

His curse was born from the waters of the Cursed Springs, a deadly enchantment that transforms him into a werewolf under the full moon’s light. No one who touches even a fraction of these tainted waters escapes its wrath. And yet, despite the danger that looms over him, Jane finds herself drawn to him in ways she cannot explain.

As their passion ignites, Jane is willing to defy fate itself to love Dean, even as shadows gather around them. The forest holds secrets, the town harbors fear, and with every full moon, the beast within him threatens to tear them apart. But can love break a curse that has lasted centuries, or will the darkness claim them both?

A gripping paranormal romance filled with passion, mystery, and a love that defies destiny, Cursed Love will enchant fans of forbidden love and supernatural intrigue.

Whoaw. After reading Veselina Slavova's Cursed Love, that's all I have to say. Really, the the details, the secrets, and the constant tension between Jane and Dean have left my brain spinning. I got intrigued by this book from each and every page and found it difficult to put down. Something about the small, scary town of Lanetown feels uncommon, and it's not just the strange incidents or the spooky atmosphere. Dean is here. Dean Smith. Swoon. Where exactly do I begin with him, really?
.
I'll set the scene: After Jane Anderson relocates to Lanetown to work at the nearby hospital, things quickly begin to feel... strange. The residents are a bit strange. The community was packed with eerie whispers and strange myths. Dean, though is a mystery in his own right. He is the reclusive, enigmatic man who lives by himself in the eerie mansion tucked away in the middle of the forest. Even though Jane truly wants to keep her distance from him, she can't resist his draw—until the world begins to pull them together.
Jane and Dean have a remarkable affinity. What truly grabbed me, though, was how Jane made a concerted effort to suppress her feelings for him despite knowing that he was hiding something, and boy, did he have a lot to hide. The dangers are taken to a whole new level when she learns about his curse. The deadly waters of the Cursed Springs have cursed Dean, a werewolf, to change every full moon. It's frightening. It is horrible. Nevertheless, Jane can't resist falling in love with him. I adored how real her struggle within felt. She has trouble managing the risk of loving someone with such a troubled past with the impossible love she has for him.
.
This book has tremendous mystical elements. Finding out about the Cursed Springs and the enchanted beings who dwell in the forest was fascinating to me.The mystery and tension are greatly increased by the author's brilliant handling of all these sinister, magical aspects. And let's not even discuss the myths about the white horses and the hidden jewels in the forest. It's all so gripping and the ideal pairing of fantasy and romance.
.
The emotional anguish in the book was also untamed. I felt a great deal of pity for Jane and Dean as they discovered more about the curse and his traumatic past. Their love is difficult, but that is what makes it enchanting. Despite all the challenges, it is pure and passionate. It was heartbreaking to read about Dean's history, his struggles with his curse, and his concerns of losing Jane. But their relationship gets even closer during these vulnerable times.
.
The book progresses at a perfect pace. Every chapter kept me wanting more, and I never felt like I was waiting too long for anything to happen. The ending satisfied all of what I wanted and more. Amidst everything that is dark around them, it is full of love, hope, and the promise of a future together. Cursed Love is therefore a must-read for anybody who enjoys fascinating romance, poignant, and supernaturally intriguing literature. Dean and Jane are the iconic forbidden lovers. You'll be itching to read the next book because of how brilliantly the world-building, the romance, and the suspense are all done.

Veselina Slavova's CURSED LOVE is an heart-stopping, uncanny romantasy that transported my brain and heart to the eerily picturesque village of Lanetown, where the air is heavy with the fragrance of mystery and the shadows appear to be hiding secrets! When Dr. Jane Anderson first arrives in this mysterious village, her life takes a turn for the worst. She finds herself unable to resist the seductive presence of Dean Smith, a man cursed by the ethereal waters of the Cursed Springs. Jane gets entangled farther into the bizarre forces governing Dean's terrible fate, and the ethereal tension between them was fascinating!
.
The stakes are as high as the full moon that causes Dean to turn into a werewolf, and their love, despite its tenderness, is a seductive flirt with danger! The plot unfolds in a stunning dangerous structure in the enchanting setting created by Veselina Slavova's compelling and lyrical prose!
.
Each chapter becomes more compelling than the others as the supernatural myths constructed into the town's history unfold one by one suffocating us with mind-blowing and well-thought details! There is a thrilling, almost supernatural tension between Jane and Dean as the arcane forces seem to pull them together in ways neither of them can fully understand. Despite its seductiveness, their bond's sad beauty is dangerous, with an intriguing fusion of romance, danger, and an unquestionable sense of inevitability, each chapter builds on the one before it! Dean’s struggle against the curse and his internal battle with the beast within him only elevate the intensity of their relationship.
.
The Author has a beautiful literary prose that stuns in details and very elegant words, awe-inspiring and frightening dimensions are used to address concepts of forbidden love and occult intrigue! Jane's emotional struggle, divided between the enthralling, radiant love she has for Dean and the threats that lie in the background, touches an enormous impact. In a way that is intriguing and infinite, the story unravels with her developing interest with the forest's mystical creatures and the ageless secrets that encircle her new home, a magnificent setting for this remarkable story is created by the rivalry between danger and love, as well as the eerie beauty of the forest and its mysteries!
.
The hauntingly beautiful love story CURSED LOVE is a masterpiece romantasy that I will not soon forget, this book is an undoubted masterpiece because of Veselina Slavova's style to create a universe so full of wonder and emotion! It was difficult for me to put CURSED LOVE down once I started reading. I was entirely immersed in Slavova's incredibly mysterious and magical world! The entire Lanetown town was similar of a dream, but with an eerie, compelling quality that makes you want to learn all the details, and I really devoured every detail and my mind was blown with the amazind and stunning thoughtful details that the Author has ekaborated within the pages of this masterpieve. There is a CURSE, I swear, and I adore how it's all connected to the mysterious Dean our swoon-worthy wonderful MMC.
.
What more could you ask for in a book boyfriend than Dean? Under a full moon, this wretched, cursed soul turns into a werewolf, and I'm living for his anguish! I'm swooning, even though I know he's dangerous. He is strong, intriguing, and really fragile, and I can't get enough of him and his difficult, tragic past. I really want him to be happy!
.
Jane is also fantastic. Despite the extreme danger that surrounds them, she is intelligent, courageous, and firm in her emotions for Dean. Because of that horrible curse, their love is tense despite being intense and passionate. I adore her willingness to stand up for him in the face of overwhelming odds!
.
The entire plot is packed with mystery and magic, and something about the mystical animals and the cursed waters simply makes it all the more fascinating. I couldn't stop reading, as if every page held me on the edge of my seat! There's so much to learn, and I was amazed at every step. I adore how it merges romance with fantasy in such a realistic way, and there's even this hidden ancient world full of beauty and trouble.
.
From the bottom of my heart this book devoured me, I was cnsumed in every way a reader would, there's a special way how the Author manages to bring different emotions that you just close the book and stare at the wall and you don't know what to do, every twist and every scene was breathtaking and I really LOVED this book so much. It has it all—swoon-worthy romance, mystical atmosphere, heart-stopping moments, and a ton of secrets I can't wait to learn more about. This novel is EVERYTHING if you enjoy magic, forbidden love, and a troubled, brooding man. I heartily suggest it!

Veselina Slavova's "Cursed Love" is the kind of romantasy book that magnetizes you and sends you to a world full of mystery, heartbreak, and a love so strong that it can only exist under the most exceptional of conditions. I must admit that I was completely immersed in this novel from the beginning and found it impossible to put down. Set in the quaint but unsettling village of Lanetown, it is a masterfully written story of love, disaster, and secrets.
.
Our heroine, Jane Anderson, is a focused, accomplished young lady who travels to Lanetown for employment at the neighborhood hospital. She finds herself thrown into a realm where enigmatic creatures and weird events are normal. But what really interests her is the mysterious Dean Smith. Living alone in a mansion surrounded by rumors of curses and supernatural powers, he has an intriguing history that is steeped in magic and mystery. Dean and Jane have a riveting connection from the first immediate they meet; there's a tension between them that makes you want to flip the pages and wonder what will happen next.
.
Such a mysterious background is created by the legendary legend that surrounds Lanetown, including the Cursed Springs, the ethereal beings in the forest, and the white horses with their promises of treasure. It's like entering a realm where anything is possible, but there are risks associated with that possibility. Furthermore, Dean's curse is devastating. There is so much richness to their connection because of the way his werewolf nature and tragic past interact with Jane's developing love for him. Although delving into the fantastical part, the love story maintains a sense of humanity.
.
The writing is just amazing. Veselina Slavova writes in an engaging yet approachable style. Because of the varied pace, the romance and suspense never eclipse each other. You feel like you've earned every moment, and every plot twist keeps you interested and wanting more. It's a page-turner in the greatest sense of the word, with just enough intrigue to keep you guessing but never enough to overshadow the story's emotional heart.
.
I devoted Jane and Dean's journey my whole attention, and they deserved my five stars. Their love story will live on for decades to come because it is powerful, challenging and full of heart-and-soul-testing difficulties. Cursed Love is a must-read if you want a strong, compelling romance that takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions with just the perfect amount of danger and imagination.

This is total escapism at its best. Easy to read, captivating, adventurous, and with the requisite adrenaline rush you come to expect with these Fantasy stories but with some humour and a bit of romance thrown in to add more appeal! This was an arresting masterpiece, "Cursed Love" carefully has ammalgamated the most tempting aspects of romantic fantasies. In a universe where human desire and the supernatural coexist, Veselina Slavova has crafted a story that is breathtaking and emotionally electrifying. The complexity of Jane and Dean's relationship is riveting; as the story progresses, the layers of dark magic, curses, and secrets that surround their blossoming love only get deeper.
.
An amazing sense of atmospheric tension penetrates the pages because to the difficult mythology surrounding Lanetown, which includes the forest that contains dangerous secrets, the mystical white horses, and the cursed springs. In this world, danger seems real, yet the temptation of the forbidden is too strong to resist.
.
I couldn't help but sympathise with Jane and Dean because of how sensitively and honestly they portray their internal struggle as she becomes closer to the man who is plagued by a terrible curse. Dean is a fascinating character whose emotional path left me speechless; he is strong and vulnerable, making him the perfect tortured hero. It is tragic and brilliantly presented as he struggles to deal with his love for Jane with the horrific transformation he experiences.
.
This book is an epic mind-blowing masterpiece for lovers of romantasy, which is the genre where romance and fantasy meet in the most beautiful way. Slavova's clever use of magic, passion, and heartbreak will have you totally riveted. You won't want to miss this romantasy book.

It was a wonderful ride of fun and entertainment right from the beginning until the end. The story is filled with mysteries, emotions, and some danger that is likely to keep you hooked. It achieved just the right balance of romance along with suspense, and I like how the characters grew closer gradually amid everything thrown their way. I'm still a beginner in the fantasy genre, but I'm starting to feel comfortable in this area.
This is the first book in the "Cursed Water" trilogy.
The story is fascinating, the characters are quite well presented, and the interest grows with each page.
Veselina Slavova has created a mystical story at first glance, but there is definitely something more.
I can't wait for the continuation of this story, because the ending sounds quite curious.

I would summarize it as a werewolf love story set in Lanetown. I really enjoyed this book because I felt like I truly got to know the characters, and the way the small-town life and local legends were portrayed felt very realistic to me. There are parts where the pacing slows down, and some elements are left for the next book in the series, but overall, I think it's a well-written and successful novel.

Cursed Love is one of those stories that takes its time, but in the best way. It’s a slowburn, emotional ride about a young doctor trying to start fresh in a town that clearly has its fair share of secrets. When Jane crosses paths with a mysterious man near the edge of a supposedly cursed forest… well, let’s just say things get strange fast.

Lanetown itself feels like a character—moody, secretive, and dripping with legend. The slow
unraveling of the curse kept me turning the pages, but it was Jane‟s inner conflict that gave the
story real soul

Cursed Love pulled me in with its haunting setting and forbidden romance. I felt Jane’s conflict deeply—torn between reason and raw connection. Dean’s curse is tragic and magnetic. This story is moody, romantic, and totally unputdownable.

CURSED LOVE by the outstanding Author Veselina Slavova is a powerfully riveting novel that sets in the mysterious, ghostly village of Lanetown, where forbidden love and old curses meet in a magical, moonlit clasp. A pragmatic woman who rejects the supernatural, Dr. Jane Anderson, falls in love to Dean Smith, a troubled and enigmatic man who bears the burden of a centuries-old curse, for no apparent reason. Jane's heart cannot resist the sense of danger that permeates Dean's every action because of his association with the Cursed Springs, a location that is strong and terrible. An ethereal relationship develops as their paths cross, one that will bring them both into the unfathomable.
.
With their fabled animals and unresolved events, the whispering woods create the ideal setting for a love story that is fragile and disastrous. The book's structure, which gradually reveals Jane's relationship with Dean, rises the tension and intrigue. Jane gets closer to the truth about the curse that holds Dean with every hour she spends in the town, and the constant threat of his transformation is present with every moonrise. As the tension between Jane and Dean reaches an explosive peak, the pacing is addictive, it never gave me a chance to relax. Every event raises the stakes, making the love aspects seem just as crucial and forbidden as the evil powers present!
.
Anyone that is looking for a beautifully written, thrilling romantasy book that will shatter your heart and brain into billion pieces they should definitely check this out. Veselina Slavova's prose is magnificent and I really loved every chapter, the way she has put details that will put you in the edge of your seat was very clever, also the twists and events are crafted in a phenomenal design that not a single page was dull, I really loved this book so much, definetely my favourite romantasy book of 2025!
