3.75 stars. It's okay. I enjoyed this, it's two idiots in love and that was fun. But I didn't enjoy the writing style. It was so much tell, not enough show and I could probably count on two hands the amount of dialogue that happens in this. I didn't feel like I was in it with them and it took me out of it. The story was good for the most part. I just wanted more from it as I'm in a Durmstrang Draco kick.
Since I read "Let the Dark In" I have been obsessed with Drumstang Draco. The concept is so much fun. This follows Draco if he went to Drumstrang and goes to Hogwarts during the Triwizard Tournament. He befriends Hermione as they compete in classes and eventually falls in love with her. The pining in this was so good. I didn't love Hermione's characterization in this no-Voldemort world. She was far too outgoing and was friends with everybody and their mama. It was giving manic pixie dream girl and not Brightest Witch of Her Age. This was a lot of fun though!
I really love Drumstrang Draco stories and especially this one, because Draco's not prejudiced and doesn't really care what his father told him. Also there's really cute fluff and I loved that this was from Draco's POV!!
Love an innocent simp Draco POV who is hopelessly in love. Also loving Durmstrang Draco (especially one who rebels against pureblood ideology). I’m personally finding I don’t love friends with benefits trope. But cute fluffy piece.
Oh my lil miscommunication and too scared to admit feelings Draco & Hermione. Super cute. I loved the chapters of Draco being a little lost and how their friendship grounded him.
