Emmeline Bartlett has a secret. By day, she is the polite, proper, sometimes teacher of writing and rhetoric at the prestigious Miss Masters's Finishing School. But by night, she disguises herself as the mysterious Ears, exploring and investigating the darker sides of London, writing articles about her discoveries under a pseudonym and exposing scandals. When a handsome Spaniard crosses her path, Emmeline discovers new adventures in London by night, as well as new dangers.
Teodoro de Vickers y Mendoza isn't sure what he is going to do with the title he inherited from his estranged English grandfather, but he's come to England to find out. Meeting Ears on a nighttime walk isn't part of the plan, nor is finding her intriguing, exciting, and beautiful. The further he gets into her world, the more he wonders about his own, and the less certain he is about everything.
I was born once upon a time, and I started making up stories right away. Eventually, I started writing them down, and never stopped! I have a day job, which gets in the way of my writing, but it pays the bills so I CAN write, so I guess that's okay! I am a bookworm, which I think is key to being a writer, and I am always looking for inspiration! I live in Indiana, am obsessed with hot chocolate, and I am on track to be the best aunt in the world.
I absolutely have loved the London League series and this continuing series is just as good. I’m always down for strong, independent women as the heroines to these stories. I appreciated that there was a bit more action than initially expected. Emmeline, or Ears, was a fun character. At the start, I was surprised that she wasn’t more scared of the situations that she put herself in, in order to get information for her news articles. The beginning scene in this book was super entertaining and the story continued to be just as good.
With Teo being a Spaniard, he was a romantic at heart. The speed of their relationship was sudden but I actually enjoyed it. It meant I didn’t have to wait till 80% into the book to have those swoony moments.
One thing I loved about this book was the fact we got to see characters from the London League series. I didn’t realize how much I had missed them until there were mentions of some of them and I found myself wanting to read their stories again just for a refresher.
I got to enjoy this one slowly! I savored it and read it over several days. It was a good read. Connolly knows how to write a story packed with so much of my kind of romance:} I just love her stories. This has been a fun one of the female agents of the convent. Connolly shook it up again with a completely different story line then I have read from her. I had no idea where this was going! It was so refreshing. It is one of the reasons I come back over and over for her books! It's always and new adventure. It's always fun to read some of my favorite people too. Gosh just love the Gent. Go back to the beginning and read them all in order, you won't regret it:} Sweet proper romance with some great moments and tension and of course kisses:}
Such a fun book! I love the way Ears and Teo meet... and meet again. Their spirits have a connection and they feel that connection passionately. They don't act on their attraction until well into the story, giving time for them to develop a foundation of trust and companionship. The idea of a secret underground network of male and female spies working such a wide variety of cases is intriguing and it's always entertaining to see how the adventure, danger, and romance weaves together. Teo's Spanish heritage adds a fresh dynamic and definitely ramps up the romantic persona of our hero. This series is connected to the author's previous series, the London League, so it was great to see some of the characters from there pop up, especially the Gent. Can't wait for the next book!

This is the 2nd book in the Agents of the Convent series. I had been looking forward to it for some time, since Fortune Favors the Sparrow was such a wonderful book. This one not so much. I loved Emmeline, she was full of spunk, even though the things she does scare her. She is a writer and very determined. She writes exposés for the newspaper. Her column, written as a man, is very popular for its shocking nature. And she teaches school part-time. Impressive lady.
Teo, on the otherhand, did not impress me. Suddenly he finds himself an heir to baronetcy, and does nothing about it. Being a Spaniard, and wealthy, he takes a long time to follow up with it. The backstory of his grandfather and father was a bit confusing. He meets Emmeline only at night in the alleys of London. How she has managed to escape the horrors of those alleys surprises me.
Then we starting meeting agents from the London League. I should probably mention at this point, this is not a standalone. The more one reads the story the more involved with the London League it becomes. It helps if the reader is familiar with them, and their stories.
My biggest problem with Teo and Rafa, his bestfriend, is the Spanish they speak. Of course they speak Spanish, but I don't and not knowing what they were saying threw me out of the story.
In truth, the last half of the story, even with the Spanish, was much more interesting. There is a mystery, but uncertain if it was resolved. Throw in an adventure for Emmeline and Teo, and they work their way to HEA. It is unclear if Rafa gets his HEA, hope so, I think I like him better then Teo.
Clean with only some pretty good kisses. A tiny bit of a lead-in for book 3. Which I will read.
Many thanks to the author for a free copy, allowing me to read and review. I have given a true and honest opinion. And so it is.
Two lonely souls meeting in the night in less than refined parts of London, knowing each other only by a nick name, what can come out of that? Well, among other things a totally heart sqeezing lovestory, but also heartwarming caring for those in need of help and joyous reunion with old caracters from the London league books. Rebecca Connolly's second book in the Agents of the Convent series is a wonderful continuation in this of me beloved universe of which this is book no 18! Though it is also a story that stands firmly on it's own feet. Restricted by society and her aunts expectations, Emmeline Bartlett finds her own exitment and meaning in life by living a secret second life and it is at one of these nightly excurtions that she, literally, runs into Teodoro de Vickers y Mendoza, a Spanish business man who just inheritaged his English grandfather's baronetcy. What are the chances that they would ever meet again?
I read an ARC of this book, but I can't wait to get my hands on a paper copy of this lovely story!
This book starts with an unexpected twist and keeps it going throughout What a great book. Ears wanders London at night, investigating things that can either be good or evil but need to be exposed. Ears did not expect to bump into the Spanish gentleman. And together they had no idea the things they would discover on their wanderings at night. But what will happen when they discover who they both are in the daylight? Can a Spanish/English gentleman and a spinster have a future? This is a book in the Agents of the Convent series that also ties to the London League series and I highly recommend both series. You absolutely do not need have to read these books in order, they are totally standalones with mentions of characters from other books. A wonderful read. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
Absolutely loving this series! Always happy to recommend Connolly’s stories as they are clean and engaging with intriguing plot lines and fantastic character development. This story in particular had me intrigued and engaged from the very beginning. I received an ARC from the author, however this has in no way influenced my opinion and I am under no obligation to leave a review.
I absolutely adored this book. Teo has become my new favorite romantic hero. He is handsome and daring, yet he still gives his leading lady Emmeline space to be her own woman, even when it means her facing danger.
I never thought Spanish to be a particularly romantic language, but the translation feature in my Kindle app had me swooning at everything Teo was whispering to his beloved “Ears,” who couldn’t understand a word of his native language. I loved uncovering those little hidden gems.
Even though they fell in love by the cover of shadows at night, there’s is a beautiful love story that shines.
I really enjoyed this story! I especially loved the crossover with the London League and seeing so many familiar faces. Emmeline and Teo were fantastic and adorable together. I even liked gruff Rafa! I hope he shows up in future books. I did have to use a Spanish dictionary frequently, and that was a little jarring. Overall, a great story. 4.5 stars.
I loved the storyline, and the characters in this book. I had met some of them in her other series. The story was engaging, fast paced, romantic, thrilling, and had a great ending. I also enjoyed the epilogue. I gave it 5 stars.
I enjoyed all the connections to previous series in this story! The story can stand alone - even though I couldn't remember specifics of the various characters' backstories, I recognized names and would recommend reading Rebecca Connolly's novels in order to get the full effect. The intrigue and the overarching plotline is engaging! The romance in this book was stirring - Teo and Emmeline fell for each other quickly and deeply. They work together well and I appreciated the support he gave her in her less-than-proper adventuring.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

This may be my favorite book that Rebecca Connolly has written! I absolutely adored the main character in this book! She is the independent, determined and brave female spy lead we all need in our lives.
This book also touched on racism and classism in a natural way that wasn’t over the top or forcing an agenda on the readers. Rather it allowed me to draw parallels to current social issues and find some pearls of wisdom to apply.
It was such a fun read and I enjoy any glimpse we get of past lead characters.
This review was hard to write without spoilers, but I truly enjoyed this book!
I fell in love with Ears and Capitan! I’m always amazed at the speed in which these love stories happen, but theirs was a fun one! Two lost souls finding themselves and each other wandering the streets of London at night. I wish I had read this on a kindle instead of in iBooks. There is a lot of Spanish in this book. Some of it I could guess at, but much of it I put through google translate. I probably would have rated it 5 stars otherwise. I understand Capitan reverting to Spanish was part of his character and his charm. I’m pretty sure Kindle translates phrases within the book, which would have sped things up for me. Capitan is a strong but tender Spaniard, trying to find answers to his recently discovered English family. His habit of wandering the city streets of every port city he finds himself in at night, leads him to Ears. He/she takes to him quickly and they become unspoken partners in the night. Their escapades position them on the path of a young orphan girl. Ears' desire to help her spins into uncovering a crazy assassination plot involving many members of Parliament. That tie-in brings us full circle to the end of book 1. I look forward to The Agents of the Convent Book 3. Thanks to Rebecca Connolly for my copy of this book.

Emmeline Bartlett is not just the poised Writing teacher at Miss Masters's Finishing School who goes back home to London for several weeks each month to take care of a "sickly aunt". She's an investigator who writes exposés for the local paper under a male pseudonym, roaming the streets of London disguised as a young man who goes my the name Ears.
Teodoro de Vickers y Mendoza (Teo) has come to England to find new opportunities for his shipping business and to inspect the property left to him by his deceased grandfather, with whom his father was estranged. He and Ears run into each other while she's escaping from a gambling establishment. He's intrigued by her (he suspects the person who ran into him is a woman in disguise) and they start meeting at night while he roams the streets of London.
One thing I can say about Emmaline is she's far braver than I would've been. There's no way I would've been roaming the streets of London at night let alone infiltrating places women weren't allowed so I could write articles about scandals, no matter how much I wanted to right the wrongs being done. I liked how she wanted to help those who couldn't help themselves.
Teo was swoony--it must've been the Spanish or the fact that I kept imagining a young Antonio Banderas or Mark Consuelos. I liked his friendship with Rafa who didn't want to be in England, but may have found a reason to stay. I liked that I didn't have to wait until the last 50 pages to see when Emmaline and Teo would act on their feelings.
It was fun to see quite a few of the agents in the London League show up. There's not much more I can say without spoiling it. Let's just say it was very interesting and exciting. I'm really looking forward to more of the Agents of the Convent and the mystery that continued in this book.
I received a complimentary copy for review. All thoughts expressed in my review are my own.
It was fun to revisit the agents series and also get to see some beloved characters from the London League series again. I loved that Ears was willing to put herself in danger to expose the evils around her. And I love that she didn't need men to save her but was capable of saving herself. And I thought that Teo was pretty swoony. I was only mildly annoyed that I don't speak Spanish and therefore couldn't understand everything that was being said. Although I suppose that was Ears' experience too. Overall this was a fun read. I recommend the series.
Sex: no Language: no Violence: some *I received a complimentary ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This author will always be a must-read…she has a magic touch with intensely romantic scenes and is able to convey real passion and attraction while still keeping her books clean. It’s not something that all clean romance authors have mastered. This novel is no exception. One thing I can also say for this author, I never have a point where her stories feel like I just need to get through a tedious section to get back to the stuff I care about. I am always engaged. This book fit that bill for sure. Further, I always find that her main characters are always impossible not to root for and I just found the hero in this one so likeable. And so fun to see a little bit of characters we loved from the London League! I hope that continues as I loved all the characters from that series!
I have really enjoyed this series so far, but I think it is key that readers who loved the London League series not see this one as a continuation, but more like a spin-off. It has felt to me, in both the Agents of the Covenants books so far, that there is more of the book focused on the romance and the intrigue portion is more of a side plot than it felt to me in the London League books. I haven’t actually tried to measure it out…it’s just how it felt. I don’t find that a problem, but I think that readers looking for Agents of the Covenant to be just a continuation of the London League might have a more difficult time accepting it. In some ways, given the heroines, as well as the change with them being the “spies”, rather than the heroes, it makes sense that this series would feel different. I enjoyed getting some new background knowledge on Spanish shipping and it was fun seeing the translation for the many uses of Spanish in the book…thank goodness for the translate function in my Kindle app! If the author is not fluent in Spanish, then she has done a great job of tricking me into believing that she is.
The book delivered on what I wanted from it, and I think it deserves five stars, especially for the beautiful swoon-worthy moments. There were a few little things I didn’t love as much about it, but nothing very significant. Sometimes the hero and heroine mentally rhapsodizing on the virtues of the other felt a little excessive, but I freely admit that it could just have been my mood. Also, I was starting to be perplexed by the characters prolonging the anonymity between them for so long as it just didn’t make much sense to me (probably subjective), but the pay-off when it did happen was pretty darn good, so I got over it, ha ha. I also spent most of the book thinking that it was irrelevant to the story that the heroine taught at the school, and coincidental with later events. The author tied up enough that I didn’t end the book being focused on that, although if I parse it out, I’m still not totally sure that it all tied together, other than by a lot of coincidences. I guess that’s how fiction works, right? Suspension of disbelief. Regardless, it’s a great book and you won’t be disappointed!
“He was a sailor and a merchant who had seen much of the world, but she knew this place and these people as well as he knew any corner of his ship or his crew. She was the captain here, not him.” Out of sheer grit, intelligence, resourcefulness, and determination, “Ears” (or Orejitas as we come to know her) has created a secret life that rescues innocents and fulfills her need to be independent of social edicts. Then, along comes a lovely Spaniard who can support her in this alternate life and who has a strong sense of justice himself—the result is a unique and wonderful romance. This story takes us deeper into the underworld of the Shopkeepers and the Convent with plenty of intrigue and suspense to draw the readers in and keep them hooked.
Teo is a delightful hero that is the perfect mix of masculine security and vulnerable humility, making him one of my new favorites. The love story is sweet and guiless, and the immediate devotion and rapport between the protagonists is swoon-worthy. During the middle of the novel, however, the love story gets a bit twitter-pated and overly adolescent as the protagonists’ express their fervor for each other again and again…and again, which makes the narrative feel a little redundant by the 80% point. Yet, it really sets the tone for the depth of their devotion and excitement at finding their person—someone who fits perfectly together when they both feared that would never happen. It reminded me so much of my experience with young love when my husband and I were engaged—talk about obsessed! We could hardly stand being apart for more than five hours, which included the time we spent sleeping! So, this degree of twitterpation is not out of the realm of possibility. LOL! Then, things pick up again, and all the overly lovey stuff is mostly forgiven by the time we get to the lovely resolution. ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟.5 and👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻(yes, I know I added an extra thumb)
The Ears Have It Agents of the Convent #2 By Rebecca Connolly
Emmeline Bartlett has a life no one knows of - she prowls the streets of London at night. She is seeking out the darker forces that hide beneath the cloak of night, and when she has discovered all she needs she exposes them to the world through the power of the written word. What she does exposes her to danger and in her attempt to flee it she is about to have a chance meeting of a lifetime.
Teo Mendoza has traveled to England, to London, for two purposes - to establish a partnership with British shipping interests and to learn more about his English roots and his inheritance. Wondering the streets of London he never expected to meet someone quite like Ears. She intrigues him with her clever disguises and wit. He is about to see a side of England that few ever glimpse and it will change him forever.
This is the second book in the Agents of the Covent series but it can easily be read as a standalone if you have not yet read the first book. Now this book does have several characters from some of the author's previous series make appearances (which if you have read The London League books you will readily enjoy).
If you are a fan of Regency fiction with all its cloak-and-dagger intrigue and romance, you will enjoy this newest offering from Rebecca Connolly. French interests are planning against the British government and their machinations could very well bring it down. This is a well-paced book with characters one can relate to.
Another winner from Rebecca Connolly that is not to be missed.
I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion. All thoughts expressed are my own.
I loved the character of "Ears" as she navigated the nighttime world of the London streets and investigated stories to write!
Emmeline Bartlett is a woman of many faces: member of high society (albeit a reluctant one), teacher of penmanship at a girls school, "male" writer of articles for a newspaper and "Ears" the male "boy" who finds the stories to write about.
Sir Teodoro de Vickers y Mendoza (Teo) is the head of a successful shipping business who has recently discovered that he is an English Baron on his father's side. He is drawn to England and the mysteries of why his father never returned. He, too, is a nighttime wanderer of London's streets and so "Teo" and "Ears" meet and Teo becomes caught up in Ears' mission to rescue a little girl and expose the man who hurt her.
Gent and some of the other spies we have encountered throughout The London League series make cameo appearances.
The romance stays clean and Teo and Ears eventually encounter one another in their true guises as Sir Theodore and Miss Bartlett. Once all the secrets are gone, their love seems all-consuming, but Emmeline hasn't forgotten her purpose and the little girl she wants retribution for.
There are some delightful secondary characters: Teo and his best friend Rafa have the most entertaining dialogues! So much like brothers bantering with one another! And Emmeline's Aunt Hermione is a sassy old lady!
A well-written story and a romantic one!
*poor, **ok, ***good, ****very good, *****something special
As the offspring of an English father and a Spanish mother, Teo is torn between two countries. After the death of his estranged grandfather, he returns to an England he doesn’t know.
Emmeline has always looked for adventure and stories, and she finds it best when she silently tours the streets of London at night. Balancing her nightly sleuthing skills as Ears, her daytime routine following around her Aunt like a proper lady, and her occasional teaching position at a finishing school, leaves her days and nights busy. Yet Emmeline still wonders which identity she really is.
Teo falls head over heels really fast and his entire life and all his thoughts seem consumed by Emmeline. To me it seemed a little fast. Emmeline falls in love pretty fast as well, but it doesn’t seem to consume her entire life as much.
There’s quite a bit of Spanish in this book. I know enough Spanish, so I didn’t have any problems reading it, and it fit the character’s personalities better to use their native tongue. However, if you don’t know Spanish, you may want to have a way to translate it nearby.
Gent is in this book! I love him! If you haven’t read his book (The Lady and the Gent), you really should.
My favorite parts of The Ears Have It are the plots, mystery, and the London League. There were a lot of little connections from previous books that I loved. A major plot is also a continuation, but this book can be read on its own.
This is now one of my top favorite books, ever. I loved this book and there are so many reasons why it is one of my favorites. The story is so good and well written. There was never a dull moment. This is one of the books that I could just sit down and read and not stop until I finish. Life got in the way while I was reading this book, so I did not get to finish as quickly as I would have liked. It was so fun to read about Teo and Emmeline's relationship and see how it developed. Their love story is romantic and you become invested in the outcome of both of their lives. I only wish that I could speak/read Spanish. Teo would speak to Emmeline in Spanish, so I had to keep stopping to Google Translate. I quickly learned stopping to translate what he was saying was so worth it! Teo is such a great character. Another favorite for me was that Rebecca brought in past characters from the London League series. I loved reading about past characters and seeing how their lives are all intertwined and how they are all working toward one cause. I am looking forward to the next book in the series and I have an idea on who may be the main character in that book. When this series is complete, one of my goals is to read the London League and Agents of the Convent in sequential order without stopping!
Great continuation of the Agents of the Convent series with several fun touches Inn the London League series!!
When Emmeline Bartlett isn't teaching at Miss Master's Finishing School, she's pursuing social and literary freedoms while exploring the dark London streets - better known as Ears - at night in order to uncover info, injustice, and the true stories of the poor so that they may be brought to light in the column by her other pseudonym, Emmett Barnes. While escaping a close call on such a venture, she runs smack dab into Teodoro de Vickers y Mendoza, neither realizing how both of their lives will be forever changed by the encounter.
Teo, a Spanish shipping tradesman, has come to England to determine what to do with the title he inherited from his estranged grandfather. Being instantly enchanted by Ears on a nighttime walk as not something he factored into the equation . . . or being irresistibly drawn into her world. But drawn, he is. The deeper they go, the more they realize how much bigger this is . . . even to a national scale. Fun plot twists and I like they lead into the next book(s). Looking forward to reading he next!
Book 2 of the Convent series introduces another strong female character and reintroduces a few characters from The London League (my favorite The Gent). Emmaline (Ears) and Captain (Teo) have a chance encounter at the beginning of the story but neither think anything of it until their next chance encounter (Teo should thank The Gent). I love that these two have an immediate connection. The romantic dialogue that Rebecca Connolly creates between her characters beautifully shapes your imagination - you can picture every look, hear every sigh and the longing between the two characters is almost palpable.
The story takes twists you don't expect and one thing leads to another then to something entirely different. The intrigue and the love story are woven together. I love how Teo worries for Emmaline but treasures her independence as much as she does. It also shows how quickly The London League (and now the Convent) can react in the face of danger and I love how The London League and The Convent were pulled together. I cannot wait to see the other characters from The Convent.
A lady by day, and a wanderer by night seeking secrets. Miss Emmeline Bartlett lives a double life of a boring lady's schedule during the day while seeking adventure at night. She literally runs into a Spaniard, new to England and her life suddenly changes. Now she has someone who is willing to join her on her adventures.
Teodoro de Vickers y Mendoza seeks to increase his business in England, the home of his father who was banished long ago. He finds himself a recipient of a surprising inheritance, but his heart is more interested in a girl posing as a lad seeking adventure at night.
This can easily be read as a stand alone but you will miss knowing some very much loved characters from Rebecca's previous London League and the first book in this series. I enjoyed reading Emmeline's and Teo's story. What an adventure these two have while learning to find love. It was well written and definitely a reread for me especially those swooney romantic kisses. Loved this story and I am excited to read the next one.
Emmeline Bartlett has some secrets. A lady does not usually teach at a finishing school, but her Aunt allows it, on a limited bases. What her Aunt doesn’t know is Emmeline’s late night adventures or her writing for a London publication. Teo (Vickers) Mendoza has come to England to inherit his rightful title. Since living his life in Spain, he’s not sure he is ready to except his British Lineage. When these two strangers meet, is the beginning of a true friendship. Their experience roaming through the streets of London, is full of adventure, suspense, and tender moments. They quickly learn to lean on each other and support each other, which leads to strong and emotional feelings. I enjoyed their relationship as it was a slow build based on trust and compassion. The story was good and consistent. It is the second book in the Agents of the Convent series. I was not as engaged in this story as the 1st book, but I did enjoy it. 4.5 stars. I recommend reading both books. Looking forward to book three.
Emmeline Barrett is a part time teacher at a girl's school, a society spinster, and secretly a newspaper reporter. She dresses up like a man in order to safely wander the streets at night, investigating and writing about the parts of society that go unnoticed.
Teo Mendoza is in England after inheriting his Grandfather's title. He's from Spain and looking to expand his shipping interests. He also likes to wander the streets at night.
Do he and Emmeline cross paths? Of course!
I loved the mystery, and especially the romance. Teo is absolutely delicious with his Spanish endearments, and the chemistry between him and Emmeline is palpable. I love how they can each be more of themselves together.
This book had some character cross over from the London League novels. While you don't have to read them first, the book is more enjoyable if you have. If you haven't read Rebecca Connolly before, what are you waiting for? You're in for a treat!
• I enjoyed the characters in this story. They were very dimensional and well developed.
• Since Teo is from Catalonia, his first language is Spanish and the author embedded Spanish phrases throughout the book. I found it fun to use context to predict the meaning of the phrases and then use Google to translate them.
• I liked that there were some characters from the author's London League series in this book. This book can be read as a stand alone, but I feel you get more by reading the series in order.
• The plot has some nice twists and turns to it, so it's not too predictable.
• This was a clean read. No swearing or sex.
I was given an advance copy of this book by the author. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. I highly recommend this Regency spy book.
Rebecca Connolly's writing just makes me happy, plain and simple. She builds beautiful friendships that bloom into deep and meaningful relationships. I love the mutual respect she writes into her characters and the strength in both the heroine and her hero. This story was so well written. The only thing that pulled me out of the story was my shocking lack of being able to use my 8th grade Spanish to translate. Having to google translate to get to the meat of the story pulled me out a time or two, but then I was right back with them, loving the insight the well-placed Spanish words added to the story. I was reading way into the night, turning pages every chance I got and hanging on to every word. She can get a little sugary at times, but only the best ways. I will never tire of the way she pulls in little mysteries, her unique stories or her fascinating characters.
I often wondered how an author could have more than one meet-cute (first meeting between the two main characters) in a single novel but I now have my answer. I adore the way that Teo and Ears first met but it is their official meet-cute in the ballroom that stole and sealed my heart with them. I love a good plot twist and this meet-cute was exactly what was needed. I love that Rebecca kept the story active and interesting with different scenes. I have read all of Rebecca's books and love that we were able to see some old friends from prior novels in these pages.
Thank you for another endearing story and for always having something new and engaging for your readers.
I am loving the Agents of the Convent series, with almost unexpected heroines who live double lives. The heroes are also quite amazing but wow, the women have my attention and I can't wait to read more. Emmeline almost leads three lives, with her time with her aunt, writing, exploring, and teaching. Ok, I miscounted. Four. How she meets her love is also mysterious and fortuitous, and the fast pace of our heroine's story, literal at first and figurative later on, kept me reading. So much fun, intrigue, mystery, bravery, championing those who have no voice, I truly loved this story, and Ears. Definitely recommend. Clean romantic suspense. Read all the books!
