At the graveyard, after the Triwizard's Tournament, things change. James and Lily offer more than a few words, they tell the truth.
>James threw a brief glance over his shoulder towards his wife, then back at his son. "Prophecies are a tricky thing, Harry. Some of them are inevitable. Some are self-fulfilling, but some … actually most of them … only have as much power as you give them. We believed in this one. Giving it so much more power than it had to have."<
Harry's so tired of being afraid all the time. Of being a pawn in someone else's game. He has to end Voldemort. Moody taught them the words after all. Problem is: Harry is not a killer. So he tries the one thing that might actually help: To make an ally out of an enemy.
This is a story where Voldemort becomes a little more like Harry and Harry becomes a little more like him. Meeting in the middle they set out to change their world.
