Sidequest for Love was such a fun opposites attract romance. I loved both Afric and Neil so much. It was most definitely a slow burn, and though it is a stand alone it has some crossover into LH Cosways other worlds.

Afric O'Connor is a popular online gamer in London who is newly single and taking a break from men. She's an original, quirky Irish girl that loves a challenge. From her looks to her behavior she can be chaotic and a lot to handle sometimes. When she meets a c0-worker of her best friend Michaela, she doesn't exactly make the best first impression. Impulsive with no filter can come across as rude, but she's unapollegetically herself. Neil is a prim, proper gentleman full of manners. The uptight, polite man is nerdy and prickly, but she still finds him extremely interesting. She senses there's a lot more going on behind his conservative facade, and thinks it would be fun to ruffle his feathers while learning all his secrets.

Neil Durant is the personal assistant for the reality stars of the tv show Running on Air. He works hard for the group of freerunners from London to make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. He's organized, reliable, and likes his routine. Then he meets a woman that disregards all his rules. Afric is annoying, unusual, and drives him crazy. She just rubs him the wrong way. He thinks he won't see her again, but a couple weeks later their paths cross again. They clash at every turn, but he can't help finding her fascinating. They're complete opposites, but an unlikely friendship forms. Both are a little lonely, and soon they realize they actually enjoy spending time together. They decide to help each other out where they are lacking. Afric needs help with her finances, and Neil is great with numbers, and she assists him with advice on his love life regarding an online crush. As an undeniable connection develops will they be able to avoid attachments and complications, or will they be blindsided by intense feelings?

Sidequest for Love by L.H. Cosway is an opposites attract, friends to lovers, slow burn romance full of fabulous banter, amazing chemistry and unexpected love. I freaking LOVED Neil and his charming, awkward personality. There is just something abot a hot nerd who doesn't have a clue how gorgeous he is. This was such a cute story and this couple complimented each other perfectly. This book is a standalone, but is connected to the Rinnung on Air series. Neil Durant was just full of surprises, with so many layers. This book was just fantastic, and I hope we get more stories about other characters in this world.

-Neil was my opposite; neatly dressed, professional, and reserved. And yet, behind all that, he had a look in his eyes that spoke to me. It drew me in.

-He was the glow that lit up my days, the colour that painted the canvas of my existence.

-He was a part of me now, had made a place for himself in my heart and soul.

This book is juicy-licious ! I just finished it and already can't wait for my reread Funtastic characters, great banter, slow build friendship into romance. Ms Cosway never let us down with her witty realistic romances.

Afric is an online gamer for profession. She is unique, funny, honest, disorganized, and so interesting. Neil is a personal assistant for a parkour team, conservative, shy and always has his ducks in a row, numbered with labels. Could they be more opposite ? This is were it gets fun and a touch painful to watch, they tumble, roll, back away and slowly find common ground. Friendship, support and maybe a spark here and there.
I loved these two ! I think this may be my favorite in the parkour books. I know I say that with every new book LH Cosway writes. Seriously it was funtastic !

"I miss you so much it hurts right here,” he said candidly, tapping the centre of his chest. I reached across the table to take his hand into mine. “I have a matching hurt in the exact same spot.”

After a couple of heavy reads, we were in the mood for something lighter, and what better way to answer that call, than with a witty, warm, captivating, and sexy read by L.H. Cosway. We couldn’t wait to experience lots of giggles, emotion, and passion, with characters who would steal our hearts. Sidequest for Love was the perfect read for our mood, and once again our hearts have been warmed with relatable characters in this wonderfully funny, sweet slow-burn friends to lovers.

“I think it’s wonderful how you see the world. You don’t dismiss people because of their imperfections. In fact, you seem to enjoy people far more because they’re imperfect.”

SideQuest for Love is a standalone spinoff from the Running on Air Series, where we meet twenty-five-year-old Afric O’Connor, a popular gamer originally from Dublin, now living in London. Afric is one of eight siblings and had to learn to stand up for herself. She tells it as it is, she’s quirky, funny, and lacks a filter. And we couldn’t love her more!

They say opposites attract, and that was the case with Afric and thirty-year-old Neil Durant. The first meeting between Afric and Neil was anything but successful, as they rubbed each other up the wrong way. Neil was measured and ordered, Afric was carefree and chaotic, and fate had other ideas.

“I think we often avoid those who aren’t the same as us, but if we just gave those people a chance, we’d realise how inconsequential the differences are in comparison to you much they can improve our lives.”

Neil is an assistant in the hugely popular reality show Running on Air and what a beautiful character he was. It’s so rare to find a male love interest like Neil. A quiet, somewhat insecure family-orientated man with such a sweet and tender heart. This is the sort of character L H Cosway writes so perfectly, and we adored him! Though, Neil’s alpha side could definitely rear its head when required. He’s perfectly described as a sexy Clark Kent, and that’s just how we imagined him!

As Afric and Neil’s friendship grows, they discover a shared love of period drama TV (though Neil is the romantic in this friendship), and a whole lot of witty banter ensues – their text messaging was a hoot! We loved the way their friendship so beautifully and slowly developed.

‘There was magic to this woman. The more I got to know her, the more evident it became. She lived in her own world, made up her own rules, and I was almost envious of her.’

L H Cosway is one of the most wonderful storytellers. Her books are so warm and engaging with an underlying message in each one. In Sidequest for Love, it’s about acceptance and difference. About rooting for the underdog, about seeing the substance underneath the gloss, and we LOVED IT!

“Let me be the person in your corner, Neil.”

Now…Afric’s brother Billy MUST get a story! We are already surmising his love interest. If we’re right, then we are positively giddy with excitement over that possibility, and will eagerly be awaiting that story!

Sidequest for Love is an enthralling book from the first page. This book brings the story of two secondary characters in the series Running on Air, and if they told me that these complete opposites would work so well I would never believe, but that's what the author magically made happen.

Afric is a gamer, and at first it may seem like a rude person, but from the moment we meet them we see that she is a very special person who uses these rude comments sometimes as a defense. Neil is a shy guy who has some trust issues. The first meeting of these two didn't make a good impression on both of them, but after a mutual agreement between them, a friendship is formed and that's where the magic of the story happens, because page by page we see these two characters making a special connection and feelings growing .

My favorite part of the story was watching Afric and Neil develop and grow in their relationship. I loved watching them form a connection, and the texts or video calls between them were my favorite part of the story, seeing Afric helping Neil gain confidence, and Neil showing Afric that she could trust them. The interaction between them was extremely lovely and left me with a smile on my face.

I loved this story , it brought a refreshing and lovely novel that got a lot of smiles throughout the reading . It was a story I didn't know I needed to read.

Sidequest for Love é um livro apaixonante desde a primeira página .

I consider L.H. Cosway one of the finest contemporary romance writers, and with Sidequest for Love she offers readers another original, fun and charming title.

On first meeting, Neil and Afric realize they are complete opposites that should never mix. But after a second change to spend time together they realize they can at least help each other out. With Afric’s outgoing personality she can help Neil get the girl of his dreams and with organizational skills and head for numbers he can help her with her tax audit.

With the perfect arrangement in place, they start spending time together from texting to watching period romances while they’re an ocean apart and soon they realize that it’s not only their arrangement that’s perfect for each other.

L.H. Cosway is a remarkably gifted writer who can turn a rom-com into stunningly charming, fun and swoony story. I adored Afric and Neil’s romance. I was hooked from the start and their very first interaction which was hilariously perfect.

I loved that Afric was loud and unbashful. I loved how she goads him. Their banter feels naturally antagonistic, it’s fast and witty. Neil’s steady even keel was refreshing. He’s a beta hero I definitely fell for. I loved how he saw Afric and how passionately he felt for her once he realized she was THE ONE. They were incredibly endearing.

Sidequest for Love is standalone contemporary romance by L.H. Cosway. It is an opposites attract, slow burn romance told from both points of view, with HEA ending. Trope: friends to lovers

LH Cosway always brings us into different and fascinating worlds. Her heroes very often have unusual jobs and lifestyles and it is very refreshing. She doesn't like to be like the others, she likes to surprise us, teach us, make us dream.
Often her heroes live in artistic and somehow magical worlds. There is magic in her novels! But also tolerance and modernity. This young author lives with her time and shows us the current reality under a new and benevolent eye. Not only does she not judge different people, she also defends them and shows us that there is good in everyone, and that different people sometimes have an intense sensitivity.

Sidequest for Love is the story of Afrik, who is an online gamer, and Neil, a celebrity assistant. Nowadays, many young people are watching professional players live on the internet. This is typical of this new generation of gamers and web addicts. Afrik gets paid to do what she loves, but even though she spends a lot of time locked up at home playing and wears oversized clothes, LH Cosway hasn't fallen for the nolife nerd cliché. This young lady has friends, in real life and online, she has a big family with many siblings (including a brother that I adored), she takes regular breaks without a screen as she is quite aware of the drawbacks of this too digital life ...
What I really liked is that she is not just a gamer, LH Cosway gave her depth, with her relationships, with her past as a gamer (where it is sometimes difficult to be a woman, even more so if you are pretty). She has a very funny outspokenness, original theories on aliens ... Even if the world of gamers may seem more for men, she does not try to hide her sensitivity and benevolence. She is always honest with others but also with herself, she says what she thinks, she fully assumes who she is. In short, I loved Afrik!

Neil is far from the current heroes, he is not an alpha male who gives orders, he likes to court and take his time, he is respectful and romantic, not very sure of himself, he lacks confidence, he is always well dressed and wears glasses ... The author has chosen to offer us a hero different from what we often see and I love this choice! Neil proves that a man can be manly while being sensitive and respectful of the opinions and feelings of the woman he loves.
We discover over the pages why he does not have a beautiful image of himself, but also a somewhat sad past (without ever falling into torrents of tears), a family made up of two extraordinary women (his sister and his grandmother), her romantic setbacks ... Having lived so long with her sister and her wonderful grandmother has surely played a role in his respect for women. In short, I loved Neil!

The meaning of friendship is very strong in this book, as is acceptance, understanding, family, love.
Afrik and Neil build a beautiful friendship before becoming lovers. They build the foundation of a beautiful and solid relationship that will last forever. Together, Afrik and Neil form a strong and touching couple, they help each other and push the other to have more confidence. They are adorable!!!

I love that LH Cosway always shows us not to be fooled by appearances and that it is important to get to know people with an open mind. I love the sensitivity of her writing, the accuracy of her words, all the hints of humor she instills in her pages, I love her subtle lessons for tolerance ... She also shows us that a relationship with someone very different from oneself is possible, the most important things are respect, communication, the depth of the feelings ... True love is to love the differences of the other.

LH Cosway tackles the very modern and current subject of catfishing, again without judging but trying to understand.
I loved seeing our parkour pros from the Running on Air series, especially Callum. I loved the amazing online friends of Afrik too...

In short, I loved this book !!!

Thank you LH Cosway for the ARC .

“What… the end already? I want more.” Those were the exact words that flew through my mind after seeing the end.
Afric and Neil’s story was enchanting, witty, fast-paced and slow-burn romance with a bit of angst and crazy twists. Basically, everything you could think of, this story had—but not in a “everything has to go in it, no matter if it fits the story or not” way, it was all well-balanced.
Sidequest for Love also surprised me in how much I loved Neil. I knew I would love Afric, because she was simply unique person wrapped in a super-charming nerdy package, but I had my reservations toward Neil.
He felt bland to me in previous books, oftentimes even annoying. In this book, he was written in a way you totally got why he acted the way he was. That he wasn’t a stuck-up after all. Please, accept my apology for judging you too harshly before, Neil.
As I said in the beginning, this story ended way too soon. I wanted more. So my only consolation is that it looks like we will be getting books about supporting characters—which I loved almost as much as Afric and Neil.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sidequest for Love by LH Cosway

‘He lifted his head, his eyes so bright and intense I would’ve fallen over if he didn’t have me backed up against the wall. “I know I’m going to...regret saying this in the morning.”

“Don’t. It’s nice to be wanted.”

Now his eyes practically blazed.

“Want is too tame a word.”’

Sidequest for Love is one of the sweetest, funniest, most charming and quirky romantic comedies that I’ve had the pleasure to read in quite some time. It celebrates so many wonderful elements, from the underdog, to the beta style hero, to the eccentric and self-assured heroine. From geek culture to some pretty enviable organisational qualities and everything in between. Author LH Cosway is on top form here with some truly wonderful characterisation, superb dialogue and a simmering, seductive love story connecting it all together, transforming this romance story from just another rom-com into a rather stunning display of something that comes close to pure romance writing magic.

In the beginning, Neil, our dashing and reserved hero, comes across as a rather staid individual. He likes things organised, orderly and efficient, what he doesn’t plan on is having an overzealous, supremely confident, blue-haired tornado of a gaming queen, turn his structured life upside down. They are from opposite ends of the spectrum, so vastly different in personalities that they clash and bicker and banter from the moment they meet right up until they ultimately form a very unlikely but very solid friendship.

It’s through the gradual build up of that deeper connection that I found the most enjoyment from the story. Afric’s teasing and baiting Neil to get a reaction, was perhaps some of the best comedic writing I’ve seen. The rapid fire banter between them, fast and edgy, the wit and how the dialogue was structured and imagined was utterly perfect. It felt real and raw at times, sweet and borderline flirtatious but that initial teasing and ribbing of one another showcased just how exceptionally talented LH Cosway is, that she can switch from writing more serious gothic-style romance tales, to this, a rib-tickling swoon fest of epic proportions.

Afric, is solid gold when it comes to idiosyncratic heroines. She lives her life out loud, carefree and full of bravado. Yet it is those light touches of vulnerability we see that had me mesmerised. I liked that she was very real and flawed, felt too much, said too much, was a little brash and a whole lot colourful. She was amazing to get to know. And although Neil is more reserved, lacking in self-confidence and deadly serious in nature most of the time, he is still so incredibly sweet, fiercely loyal and ridiculously sexy. When he gave himself permission to laugh, have fun and fall in love, he went all in.

The friendship between Afric and Neil is utterly adorable, but the intense heat and sexual tension between them both as the relationship progresses, is something entirely combustible and deeply arousing.

‘It was clearly too soon for declarations of love, even though I’d never felt this way about a woman before. Finally, I replied, “I bet I could make you like kissing.”’

Simply put, Sidequest for Love is another standout romance story from author LH Cosway.

3.5 stars. The hero basically sucked for the entire first half of the book, the heroine kept me reading. I also really like this author’s writing style, her stories always keep me engaged.

Safety is questionable
-Hero celibate two years
-Hero “accidentally” catfishes a woman to think that he’s a celebrity (the celebrity is the hero’s boss).
-Hero has a lot of interest in this OW for a good chunk of the book and she causes drama for the couple and drama with the hero’s job
-Heroine had semi-recently been broken up with by her boyfriend, he makes a short appearance but doesn’t cause drama
-Unknown how long heroine had been celibate, she mentions going and finding a hookup as needed
-No real OM drama
-No scenes with OM/OW, nothing ever happens between hero and OW
-No cheating
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

This was such a fun, cute story! Neil and Afric were complete opposites and yet so perfect for each other!

May be an image of controller

Afric was a gamer girl that live streams. Her quirky comments and unique games have made her a fan favorite. But she’s also the girl that never quite fits in. She dresses oddly, she comes off as rude, when she’s really just very forthright with a wicked sense of humor, and she excels in all of her originality. I absolutely loved the way she sucker punched Neil before he even knew what was happening.

May be an image of 1 person, beard and indoor

I felt bad for Neil. He was never the first guy any girl would look at being friends with, and working with one of the hottest stars on tv made it even more difficult. He finds Afric to be abrasive and yet he can’t look away from her. As their second encounter encouraged a further connection between them, it was obvious that Neil didn’t have a clue what he was getting into. Which of course made this story all the more enjoyable.

This was filled with great banter between this hero and heroine and while the steam didn’t pick up until much later in the story, I didn’t miss it because it was so much fun to witness this couple’s interactions and texts. With the addition of all the Running on Air characters, the likability of this book went up into infinity. There was very little angst throughout most of this and when it did arise, it didn’t linger too long.

Overall, a fun, quirky, read that had me smiling.

As time has passed I feel I should mention Tom Holland.. 😂
This was so cute, fun and quirky! This is the way to steal my heart.
I absolutely LOVED this story and the characters!
Afric is a free spirited, professional online gamer.
She’s clever, funny and she loves to wind up (tease) the orderly, straight laced, and responsible Neil.
It’s opposites attract with so much humor and fun, witty banter!
Afric has a lack of filter that’s so refreshing and funny. It’s fun to see it break down Neil’s walls.
Both characters also are really great people with depth and big hearts.
This story made me smile and laugh.
And there are real, raw emotions to balance it.
It’s a really feel good romance with soul.
I swooned quite a bit considering Neil isn’t a typical romance hero. He’s not an alpha male. He’s more realistic and I found that refreshing. And he’s still really dreamy 😉
There’s also the opposite’s attract heat happening along with a surprising budding friendship… then the deeper feelings sneak up on these two awesome characters!
It’s less steamy/sexy than my usual reads, but the slow build up, the clever quips and great conversations made me not even think twice about that.
There is great chemistry and heat. And we do get a rewarded towards the end, it’s just much lighter on sex than most of the romance I read. When they do get to sexy times, it’s raw and very hot!
I’ve read and enjoyed this author many times before. She really writes so many different tropes/genres in romance. I’m quite impressed.
There are so many witty and fun references and jokes. I love the humor in this book. It had me laughing so much. It’s just what I needed.
The secondary characters are great, they add to the story without distracting from the main characters.
What a fun and clever story. Lovable and unique characters that defy the status quo.
-Tom Holland~Lip Sync Battle(yes, I watched the clip a couple of times 😉) UFO watching, BBC period drama series… This book has all that and more!
So much fun! A new feel good favorite romance!

A fun ...opposites attract type of romance with a really sweet feel to it and lots of chemistry between the MC's .
I enjoyed this slow-burn read like everything else that I have read by this author.
It is set in London, England and has the British feel to it.

Heroine is a streamer while playing video games, funny

Didn't like hero's drama, judgemental with heroine st first
Not enough sexy scenes
Almost safe

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by Sidequest.

There were two things from the outset that were working against it for me:
1) When I realized this book was connected to the Running on Air series, it took me a while to even remember who Neil was. My memory of him was that he was ... vaguely professional and nice?

2) I am never really a fan of the trope where the hero and heroine have an "arrangement" that involves one helping the other win over a different person. I understand that this is a useful romance convention but it usually feels pretty artificial to me.

Thankfully, it didn't take long for both of those fears to resolve for me.

I shouldn't have worried about Neil. Of course he turned out to be more dimensional and adorable. And Afric? I wanted to be her. Immediately. Flaws and all. What L.H. Cosway consistently does, is write. damn. interesting. characters. As per usual, the hero and heroine are layered, quirky, and compelling. It was very refreshing to see real change happen for both characters. There was absolutely no lazy "lightening strike" realization that a player suddenly wants to settle down (with no internal struggle or genuine personal growth). Both characters seemed to generally reflect on their own shortcomings, own up to mistakes, and make genuine progress! This absolutely makes the ending more satisfying.

The brisk pacing of the book and the strong character development helped A LOT to mitigate my dislike of the arrangement/triangle trope. The book could have easily gotten lazy and leaned heavily on this plot element but it absolutely did not.

The nitty gritty:
- Angst (low)
- Hero (4 out of 5)
- Heroine (4.5 out of 5)
- Chemistry (4.5 out of 5)
- Plot (3.5 out of 5)
- Laughs (4.5 out of 5)
- Steam (medium-low)
- Location (London & New York)
- HEA/HFN?
- Triggers (none that stood out for me)
- Synopsis (accurate)
- POV (dual)
- Need to read prior books? (fun if you have read Running on Air books, absolutely don't need to understand this book)
- Spinoff/series potential? (Yes! I need to know more about TheBigSix, Yellowshoes, Billy, and Rosie)

Out of context spoilers: UFOs, Miami, gargoyle nose hair, selfie, Tom Holland "Umbrella" lip sync, Night Owl Accessories.

Fav Quotes:
“Fine, I shan’t cast my covetous gaze upon your fine derriere ever again. Happy?”
and
“W-why are you giving me Mr Thornton eyes?” she asked, her words staccato. Because I’m falling in love with you, a startling voice in my head answered.”

Final thoughts: the "Sidequest" hook was adorable and made me smile. Also L.H. Cosway's pop culture references are always on point.

TL;DR - Quirky & refreshing characters who show emotional growth. A fun read, would definitely recommend.

***5 Stars***

After meeting Afric in Something in the Air, I knew I wanted to know more about the gamer girl and was very happy when the author decided to release chapters of Afric and Neil’s journey in her newsletter. But I was ecstatic when the announcement of their book happened, and I was not disappointed. This was a great opposites attract slow burn read. It was funny, sweet, heart warming, frustrating and all kinds of hawt, with just enough drama to keep me turning the pages until the very end.

I adored Neil and Afric. I’ll admit that I was all too sure how much I would like Neil because he tends to be a bit stiff and controlled with his emotions and how he perceives the world but getting to find out the why behind his actions and thoughts had me loving the man. Afric has no edit button. She lets her personality shine, even when it may come across as abrasive to others, but I loved how well she knew herself and owned it all.

With their personalities at opposite ends of the spectrum, it wasn’t a surprise that their relationship started off on the wrong foot, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching as they slowly became friends and so much more. Their bantering was a lot of fun and I just really liked how they they ended up finding comfort and strength in each other.

This really was a fun read. I loved getting to catch up with the Running on Air crew and seeing them through Neil’s eyes. As for the catfishing situation...I liked how it didn’t overtake Neil and Afric’s journey, but instead helped push their relationship along. And as for the new characters we meet, I loved Rosie and Phil and hope to see them again in some capacity as well as Adam and Winona, and of course there is Isaac, who I am hoping will get his own HEA at some point down the road. But all in all, if you like opposites attract romances, then pick this baby up!

Sidequest for Love is such a great opposites attract read. Neil and Afric have amazing chemistry, there's witty banter and so many feels. The pacing and the slow build of their relationship were perfection. I adore Afric and all of her quirks, she felt so real. I also love that it's a spinoff so we get to spend time with the Running On Air characters and see what they've been up to as well. Read this! Even if you haven't read the Running On Air series yet (what have you been doing with your life?), you'll have no problem following Neil and Afric's story, and it'll leave you with the warm fuzzies.

Another Cosway great.
What makes LH's book so unique are her characters. Sure, we all love to read about gorgeous people falling in love. But sometimes, we want to read about regular people falling in love.
Afric and Neil were regular people falling in love the old fashioned way. They fell in love with each other's personality first, well not first, because they were both put off by each other when they first met.
But once they got to know one another the beauty that they saw in each other shined in a way that makes falling in love beautiful.
Sure, I love reading romance books with gorgeous people falling in love, but sometimes I want to read a book about a couple who's just like me.
In Sidequest for Love, we read about how average looking this couple is that sometimes people overlook them. LH tells us differently, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.

Oh my God I love these two. Talk about chalk and cheese. Afric is an outspoken gamer who makes her living streaming her games in the fantasy world. Neil is a quiet assistant to a group of parkour tv celebrities. His co-assistant is Afric's best friend and that's how they met.
A grudging little physical attraction crawls its way into friendship and that climbs up the hill to something more.
I just couldn't put this book down and read it in one day. It was, for me, a feelgood romance between two flawed but beautiful humans.

This book had me smiling so big while reading. Neil was adorable and Afric not far behind. Their friendship was friendship goals. I think it is important to love people quirks and all---and seeing how others love you matters. And I am all about the side characters.

Oh my goodness I loved this story so so much! Afric and Neil were so cute together!

Afric is a gamer. She streams her gaming to make money and she was amazing. She is really kind and supportive in her way. Yes, when you first meet her she can come off kind of brash, but once you get to know her she is amazing. I did think in the first chapter where Neil and Afric meet that I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this one. Afric was so...she came across as pretty mean to Neil, but immediately after that we get a chapter from her point of view and oh, I loved her so much. Yes, at first I was iffy, just like Neil, but just like him I fell in love.

Neil, in that first meeting, is kind of stiff and one of those people that likes everything neat and organized. Nothing out of place. But oh my goodness he is such a sweetheart. He is incredibly hard on himself for some things he has done, which in the grand scheme of things are not that bad. He wasn't sure he liked Afric after first meeting her, and he had a crush on a lady he was talking to online, so no problem. He will never see Afric again anyway. Only he starts spending more time with Afric and realizing...there might be something there. Realizing how amazing she really is. And the more time she spends with him the more she is re-thinking her whole no relationship thing. Because she is finding out just how amazing he is as well.

These two were perfect for each other. I loved them so much. I adored how Neil was with Afric and some of the things she told him. How he respected her boundaries even if it was difficult for him. And I absolutely loved seeing how the characters thought about things when the situation wasn't ideal. When something happened to make someone angry, how the angry person thought about everything. Oh, it was perfect. I loved it. It was everything. I had been in a reading slump and before picking up this book I must have put down a dozen books, but then I gave this a go and there went my day! And I am so very happy it did! Oh, these two were so sweet and I adored how everything played out.
