My new boss, Ezra Ledger, isn’t looking for a relationship. And that’s fine. Because neither am I. But he just so happens to have plenty of other things I’m looking for.
If nothing else, he has plenty I like looking at. Even if I am a Nanny to his kids, and he is my boss. I can handle it. Just look, don’t touch.
But that mouth-watering body, kissable lips, and smoldering eyes. Boyfriend material he is not, but eye candy? Star of my sexual fantasies? Check and check. He’s more than qualified for all of the above.
There’s no denying the electricity that runs between us. But being with him means I could lose my job. Is that a risk I’m willing to take?
Just one night. That’s what he whispered to me in the night. And then we could both move on. Pretend like it never happened. One night of wild, hot, mind-blowing sex… And then we put it all to rest.
I should have known that was too good to be true. Ezra is like a drug that I can’t quite kick. It’s hard to care about my job… when he’s the forbidden fruit in front of me.
One night? As if . I’m way too in over my head to keep that promise. Things don’t always go as planned...
So now what happens when I’m left with a secret that could change everything ?
Lauren Wood loves to read and write about irresistible alpha males who are naughty and dirty. If you like bad boys, sexy neighbors, billionaires, and swoon-worthy romance, you've come to the right place. Her alpha males are strong enough to make the hard decisions in life, but sweet enough to melt for his mate.
She is a big time fashionista, loves trying new hair styles, and if she is not writing, you will find her in a gym working on her body to get the attention of her very own bad boy. *-*-*
Accidental pregnancy isn't typically a troupe I read... I mean, there's nothing accidental about it. I was intrigued by a book later in the series and figured I'd start with the first book first. It was enjoyable, but Ezra seemed robotic. I never warmed up to him... I think by the end I was more a fan of his annoying brother than him. Good thing I am not the one in a relationship with him.
You don’t feel any love or romance in this book from the “hero” at all. He denies whatever feelings he may have (which he never really demonstrates having), and ends up treating the female main character like a hooker in the end with a pay off of the car, apartment, money, and job offer elsewhere.
Not to thrilled with the FMC either and her not telling the guy that she’s pregnant. She had planned on telling him in person, but he fires her the moment they get into the house. But can understand why she didn’t at the moment. Perhaps she would have told him after moving out? But we don’t know that as it’s revealed to him by someone else before then.
The whole I love you thing after he finds out? Didn’t ring as true. Because he flat out says he could never love her as it would be disrespectful to his first wife’s memory. Then right after he says he loves her. Like it’s believable then? More like I like to have sex with you and you’re pregnant, so now I have to feel something. She was right in saying that if he didn’t want her before he found out, why would he after?
We’re not going to even mention that he admits to himself that she was the best woman he has ever been with… and apparently he has been far from celibate since his wife’s passing, so there’s quite a few. But apparently having sex with others is respectful to his wife’s memory, but loving someone is not. (Insert eyeroll here.) Apparently he is not mature enough to realize that no two loves are alike, and loving a new person after a previous love’s passing is even more precious as you tend to value love more. And loving a new person does not diminish the love you had for the person who passed.
I also had a tough time with her just blatantly accepting her parting “gifts”. If she wanted money to raise the kid, there’s child support. Plus her friend had moved in with her before she got the job, so she had a place to go back to. She had the vet job too, so she wasn’t totally without employment. And if she needed money for the mom, etc. she could have gotten a second job elsewhere. It just felt as though she was condoning his actions by accepting what is essentially a payoff.
As others have mentioned it is, unnecessarily wordy throughout. The plot itself isn't that long, but the running commentary of their thoughts doesn't stop. The pieces that need to be explored and expanded are missing, but then everything else is dragged out. The time jumps and skipping first month together is an example, from her hired to him all possessive needs to be built up for the reader. As is the ending, he fires her, wants her gone and says he doesn't know if he loves her, to suddenly being madly in love with her 30 seconds later because of finding out about baby. Also his dead wife was a huge obstacle for him to find love again throughout the book, but again 30 seconds later, she doesn't matter and he moves on and the book ends suddenly. None of this is explored and it's hard to feel any chemistry between love interests because of it.
Oh and what dad makes his 6 year old daughter wait on a front door step for 30mins whilst he has sex...
Spelling and grammatical mistakes shouldn't be in a published book, as with wrong name used in a couple of places.
I stuck with it as I liked the basis of the story and possessive males, but the poor writing skills shown in the book won't make me want to read anything else by this author. This book needs a good editor to help it out and then it would be an enjoyable read.
I came across this series after I had finished one of the books and was immediately intrigued. Even though I know how these stories go, I was still curious enough to find out. To say I was surprised with the content is an understatement. I was thinking this would be one of those erotic type of books based on the title and book cover alone. I was definitely mistaken and pleasantly surprised. What I got was a steamy one night stand and the repercussions that came with it. I guess that would explain the shortness of the book. I was a little disappointed and briefly didn’t like Ezra but he changed my mind, even though it was under certain circumstances. I didn’t learn much about Ezra, or Quinn which didn’t give me that much of a connection with them. I felt like I was just inserted into their world without much of a background or build with he chemistry between Quinn and Ezra. Everything was too quick, which I get based on the length of the story. Then to top it off, the way that everyone was so quickly forgiven and how briefly things escalated in a matter of seconds felt unfinished to me. All in all, interesting story but I wanted more and this is why this gets a 4 for me.
This book was written In such juvenile vocabulary that I wonder if anyone even edited it. Repeatedly using words such as “anyways” (grammatically incorrect) and “you guys” supposedly being said by professional people like doctors and nurses was just absurd. The story itself of a 35 year old widowed billionaire, father to a 6 year old daughter, behaving like a stuffed shirt one minute to grabbing the 25 year old nanny and having sex with her on the kitchen counter while his daughter was asleep in another room the next minute was unbelievable.
All in all, this is 2 1/2 hours of my life I’ll never get back, and I can’t believe I wasted my time. My only excuse is that I kept reading, hoping it would get better and the author would redeem herself.
I wanted to love this book, but there were just so many issues. The storyline itself was decent enough, but that is where my liking of the book ends. The characters were flat with little to no background. You found out bare minimum about Quinn and Ezra, but nothing else. Nothing about Paige. I am still curious what the point of introducing Morgan and Pierre into the story was. They didn’t seem to contribute to the story whatsoever. There were also SO MANY inconsistencies throughout the book. One of my issues was that the author constantly called Quinn Paige during Ezra’s dialogue (which given the context in which the name was swapped makes it super awkward).
This has it all, billionaire, age gap, secret pregnancy. Ezra is a single father of the mosylt adorable little girl, and needs a new nanny. Quinn is who he hires, based on a high recommendation from his old nanny, and her best friend. But when he finds himself having feelings for Quinn, he does what he is best at, and pushes her away. Ezra was not my favorite character, but understandable when you know his backstory. He definitely wants to protect hia heart. Quinn is working towards becoming a vet, and is doing her internship around taking care of Paige, I loved her character, she has a big heart, and loves Ezras daughter, Paige.
I truly enjoyed meeting Quinn and Ezra.their chemistry and their passion is contagious. I however would like to see or at least find out about a couple of characters, like Kayley and Klaus. Not necessarily together, together. But see if they find out their own HEA.
Well only time will tell. But until then, bring on the pancakes.

Billionaire and Nanny Secret. I enjoyed this book! The characters are interesting. Quinn becomes a nanny to a rude, workaholic, handsome man with a lovely daughter she learns to care for. The chemistry between them becomes so intense that they can't deny the relationship that is brewing. You must read how the relationship becomes more than friendship even though the age difference. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's.
Ezra was rich and handsome. He lost his wife 3 years earlier. He refused to have a steady woman in his life, since his wife. He needed a new nanny, so he hired Quinn, a friend of his last nanny. When he saw her, he had never seen anyone so beautiful. As time moved, she was not only beautiful, but kind, hard working, funny and loved his daughter so much. His daughter, Paige, loved Quinn so very much. To stop their attraction to each other they decided to have sex one time only to get it out of their system….yeah right.
I can't believe I bought the whole series, I can only hope the writing improves. Utterly juvenile storytelling, the dialogue was forced and the characters were completely unappealing and honestly, I couldn't have cared less about any of them. The nanny/single dad trope is one I like when done well. This one wasn't. Typos, meh sex scenes and lousy character development. Can't recommend at all.
This story with Quinn is so sweet. Quinn is recommended by her BFF for a nanny position with this cold feeling father Ezra. He has cut himself off from his feelings. Quinn is all bright and sweet and the little girl Paige loves her. It would be difficult for anyone not to like Quinn. That’s the issue for Ezra, he doesn’t want to care about anyone but his daughter Paige. The struggle is real for Ezra. . . . . Read On!
This book was a cute short and steamy book! I loved this insta.love, single father, boss/employee book. The characters were so cute as well. I always love reading books like this in between darker romance books. Overall a cute book that was really good. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series.
Where did half this story go? She’s hired and the next sentence she has been there 2 weeks. Huh? What’s the setup? The dynamic? I felt like chunks of this book were just missing. The reader needs to go on the journey of seeing 2 people fall in love. Not just have them say it after having sex once. Makes no sense. Disappointed 😣
Not gonna lie, this was like reading a mad-libs romance version. Zero buildup for the romance except he thinks she's hot and so does he. Insert tragic backstory for one of them (mom has cancer) and a surprise pregnancy (when he suddenly realizes he loves her), and voila! A sucky story. Don't bother. Also, how are there 13 books in this series?
I absolutely loved the love story. It was full of love and pushing away to secret looks. I am so happy that it was a fantastic ending. All it took was his brother to say her name and a date lol to make him move his slow cautious butt!
Billionaire and Nanny Secret is book one in the series Daddies and Babies by author Lauren Wood. Entertaining read- some drama, laughter and steam. There’s a strength to this tale - a strength of putting it be step forward even though it’s painful.
This was my first read of this author. Even though the storytelling seemed a little rushed, the storylines were really nice. The story kept my curiosity and I did enjoy it. Now, on to the second book.
This is the 1st book I read from this author and I have to say I absolutely loved it!!!! She was very descriptive in the bedroom scenes and I absolutely loved the story line!!!! Good job all around!!!!
This was a great story, just way too long winded 😊. This story isn't my usual read, but I took a chance and tried it anyway 😄. I'm not sure if I'll read anymore in this series tho 😉. Thanks Lauren and good luck with your stories 🤓.
Well it was a good love story. The only thing that was wrong was that it was so predictable. There was barely any steam happening, that was kind of predictable too. Still a good read. 👌
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last. It has been a very rare occurrence that I could just pick up a book and read it in one day; but, I was captivated by these characters and their amazing love story instantaneously.
Would yell all !y kindle friends that Lauren Wood is a gifted writer on romance and love. I have read several of Jer books and really enjoyed them. MP drama just good readings. Just try them!!!
I love this story. They went through some things to get where they are now, but they made it! The heat between them was evident from the start. I never had this as a nanny, dang it! Lol
It was entertaining and captivating. I was hooked from the very beginning. The storyline was spot on. The characters were amazing. The ending was absolutely beautiful.
I really enjoyed this book and how the nanny infiltrates everything without knowing how she is doing it. She didn’t seem fake or phony and I liked that about Quinn.
