Aspen

I can’t think of a better place to spend my last week in Alaska than in Three Rivers.
Twenty years as a pilot in the Army has come and gone.
Many of the veterans I served with have settled in the small town.
It’s only fitting I spend my last days catching up with them.
Plus, I’m determined to show my bestie a good time.
What I didn’t expect was to find the kid who used to be a crew chief for me more than a decade ago all grown up.
And sexy as hell.
The attraction between us is undeniable.
But a little fun quickly turns into something very real.
I’m supposed to leave Alaska in a week.
Staying wasn’t part of my plan.

Storm

Chief Warrant Officer Aspen Stone has been the star of my fantasies since I was nineteen.
As her crew chief, I followed her around like a puppy.
I haven’t seen her in more than a decade, but she’s only gotten better with age.
I’m determined to finally live out my best fantasies, if only I can keep my fear of flying a secret.
But one kiss leaves me sure of one thing: one week will never be long enough.
I want forever.
Even if it means conquering my greatest fear.
The sooner Aspen realizes we’re meant to be together, the better.

We all made a pact. We’ve survived basic together, shared duty stations, and gone to war together. But the needs of the Army have separated us multiple times. That’s why we agreed that when each of us got out, we’d each settle down in the same mountainside town of Three Rivers. It was a favorite place to get away on holiday weekends when the six of us were stationed together in Alaska, and as veterans now we can’t imagine anywhere better. A place filled with fresh mountain air, friendly people who are there when you need them but happy to keep to themselves when you don’t, and unexpected love none of us saw coming.

Sweet & steamy short story insta-love romance with an older mountain man and younger curvy woman. NO cliffhangers. NO cheating. Guaranteed HEA.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I really enjoyed this book!

Storm and Aspen knew each other a few years ago, she was his officer. Aspen is visiting Three River's to met up with Theron before she heads home to Indiana. Aspen came to Alaska with her best friend Dakota when they go to met up with some of the military men. Aspen spots Storm sitting at the bar alone, when Jett tells him to come over and say hello. Storm remembers Aspen because he had a crush on her and fell in love with flying because of her. Aspen and Dakota head out to the bar with everyone else. When Dakota passes out Aspen takes her back to their tent, Storm helps her. When they get Dakota settled, they sit on the back of his truck, talking about their love of flying. Aspen leans in and kisses Storm, then she straddles him. When Dakota calls out from her tent Aspen goes and takes car of her, then Storm leaves. The next day Aspen and Dakota grab some coffee when they start talking about Storm. Aspen finds Dakota on her cell phone then she receives a text, she finds out her friend did some digging and has Storm's address. Aspen heads to find out that Storm has his own plane, and she asks him to take her up in it. Ever since Storm was in his accident where he almost died he doesn't want to go up in his plane. Storm tells Aspen they can do other things in his plane, soon he pleasures her then they make love. The next day Aspen mets Dakota as they're talking Storm finds them with his friend Elliot. Storm asks Aspen and Dakota if they want to go out on the four wheelers. When they get back they all need showers, but Aspen sits in Storm's lap. After the others leave, Aspen asks Storm how they're going to get clean. Then they take a dip in the lake, Storm takes Aspen and makes love to her. The next day Aspen tells Storm she's not on any birth control and she wants to get pregnant, he tells her good. Storm tells Aspen that if she's carrying his child she'll be staying in Alaska with him, and they'll be a family. Aspen mets Dakota for breakfast and tells her friend she's staying in Alaska. As Aspen and Dakota talk, Adalyn comes over and talks to them, letting Aspen know they are happy to have the old Storm back, after his accident he wasn't the same. Aspen doesn't know about the accident, and leaves to go find Storm. Aspen finds out that Storm went out in his plane alone. Aspen heads to his house, and when he lands she's there to asks Storm what he was thinking. Storm tells Aspen all about his accident, and tells her he's sorry he scared her. Aspen tells Storm he can take her with him next time he wants to go. About a year later, Aspen is six months pregnant with a boy. Aspen knows she's safe with Storm, he'll never let her fall without catching her. Aspen tells him she loves him and Storm tells her he loves her.

An Ice Age couldn’t shrink their desire

This book is about Aspen and Storm. They’re both ex-army and have worked together before. Aspen is about to transition out of the army after 20 years of service. Aspen and her friend Dakota are in Three Rivers to catch up with some of her old army buddies. They’re going out to The East Fork to meet some of the guys for dinner. This is where Aspen sees Storm again, for the first time in over 10 years!

Storm is no longer the lanky crew chief with a goofy grin… now he’s all ripped muscles and dangerously-seductive grins. And Storm is face-to-face with Aspen, the woman he used to fantasise about for years – and she’s looking even more stunning than ever! They both share an obvious, mutual attraction and with no off-limits rules applying to them anymore, they can pursue each other. When Aspen invites and then pleads for him to join everyone for a drink at the bar after dinner, he reluctantly agrees, but he’ll certainly be glad he did!

They are sweet but steamy together, in an almost animalistic way. It’s hot AF! Since the plane crash, Storm hasn’t been his old self. There’s a happiness and freedom that Aspen brings to him, and everyone around him are so pleased for him, for them. They also have a lot of fun, and Dakota enjoys meeting the rest of the crew, including Elliot who has recently relocated from Hawaii. I think there’s going to be something growing there between these two too.

I love the storyline, I love the setting, and I love the characters. They’re all so likable, and really are like one big happy family. And there’s a good amount of humour to keep things light, and so much fun! I’ll never look at a plane’s cockpit the same again, and I will definitely smirk and giggle every time I have pancakes (no special sauce though thanks). And again, the line that gets me every time… “I’ve got you”… swoon! I give this book four and a half co-pilot stars.

Suck it up, Buttercup

Storm is the seventh book in the Brothers in Arms in Alaska series and I fell in love with this one. We were first introduced to Storm in a couple of the previous books. He is thirty-two years old and is retired Army. As with the other friends and the pact he moved to Three Rivers, Alaska where he found work as a pilot for AK 12 Aviation. But that all changed last year when he crashed his plane in the wilderness and almost lost his life. He Cessna may have been repaired and ready to fly but Storm is not ready to get back in the pilot's seat as he now has a bad case of fear of flying. So instead he has been working as security for the company. Aspen Stone is thirty-eight years old and is a week away from her out-processing from the Army after twenty years of being a pilot while in service. She has been stationed all over the world ending her career stationed in Alaska. Aspen has never married or had children so with nothing holding her anywhere her plan is to head back to her home tome in Indiana. She has come to Three Rivers with her favorite co-pilot and closest friend, Dakota, to visit with some of the men she has served with and also to get Dakota to forget all about her cheating ex-boyfriend. While there Aspen sees Storm for the first time in a number of years and he is no longer the tall gangly youngster she remembers. Now he is all tall, built, muscled and sexy man, with a voice that makes her insides quiver. These two are about to heat up the town of Three Rivers so much that they will melt all the snow on the nearby mountains.

I really loved this story of an older woman/younger man with a long time crush/longing. This story was well written, has a great story-line and characters that are super smexy together. The supporting characters are also wonderful, including Dakota who I am happy to find out about to find her own real man shortly.

These two characters, Aspen and Storm are a chemical combustion. They are sizzling hot! Aspen has just finished her 20 yrs in the military. She is visiting a friend in Alaska and they are camping out at Three Rivers. They are meeting up with some military friends at the local bar. Aspen notices an old military buddy, Storm. Aspen always had the hots for Storm but he was below her in rank and she was a sticker for rules. Storm is surprised by her visit. Pleasantly surprised! Storm has been in lust and in love with Aspen since they meet early in her career. The story is filled with drama, passion, lust, and love. Will they be able to make something happen? Really enjoyable, entertaining, fast paced with great storyline. Is this going to work? Is this Aspen’s chance to have love? Can Storm convince Aspen to stay with him in Three Rivers? What about Storm? Does he feel the pull to Aspen? Is there more than their blazing hot chemistry - they might set the forest on fire!! If you like short day reads, this ones for you. I would not call this an instant love story because their love has developed over time and without the other knowing each other’s feelings. It is a fabulous read with sexy, smoking hot characters. Super read!

This short story about Storm, the male lead, and Aspen, his slightly older crush from a decade ago, was cute. I appreciated that there was distinct recognition that there wasn’t any plausibility to Aspen having been interested in the lanky youth Storm was when she last knew him but that a decade had made a huge difference.

I didn’t like that he was so determined to keep his fears a secret, nor that she didn’t accurately present her contraception status upfront, even though he was thrilled with the possibilities. But I did like his enthusiasm and her willingness to engage with it.

This short story is dual POV, well written, and gorgeous. I like an older woman/younger man story and this one was plausible and fun. I wish it had been longer.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Storm is the seventh book in the ‘’brothers in arms in Alaska’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Aspen visits the small town of three rivers, she reconnects with some old army buddies. Storm has wanted Aspen for years. Will he finally pluck up the courage to get his woman?
The chemistry between Storm and Aspen is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I hope for more books from this series.

Same story different names

These books are like a repeat of one another, they have different names, but the same story over and over. If I didn't know better it was written by a man, trying to use a female pen name to write stories for women as if that is how all the scenes should be.
If your gonna write spice write it right, and stop using the same scenes over and over book after books. Their all big muscular men that are tall and do all the sames moves inside and outside of the bedroom. It's as if this writer has never seen a military base and seen for their own eyes that all the men are very much physically different and behave differently from one another.

Storm and Aspen met years ago when they were stationed together in the military. She was his superior so a relationship was a no-no. Now years later they meet again and the sparks start flying immediately. Aspen is about to retire and head home but Storm has other ideas to make her stay. Storm and Aspen are genuine characters that have a strong connection. Aspen is older and ready to retire and wasn’t sure how she was going to end up doing with her life. Storm solved that problem for by showing her the love she’s always wanted. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Aspen and Storm

Aspen is camping with her friend Dakota when they meet up with some military buddies and one of them is the very HAWTTT Storm. It's been 10 years and Aspen is looking just the same. Can Storm convince her to see him as a man and not the kid she remembers??

This is such a HAWT story ❤️ I love unrequited crush to love stories! The chemistry between them is off the charts!!
The story is well written, fast paced, with just the right amount of angst! The story is told from dual POVs reveals intimately their thoughts, feelings and emotions as they explore their relationship. There's an epilogue and a HEA 💓

Chief-tastic Read

This book is a wonderful way to spend your lunch break. This book gives you a look of love from a different way, which goes to show you that age ain’t nothing but a number.
Storm and Aspen makes facing your fears both hot and extremely sexy. Even the “eggs”...lol... and this book gives a new meaning to adventure in the air.

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing Elliot and Dakota’s story...

Aspen is just getting out of service and meets the men up in Three River before heading home. When she runs into Strom, someone she worked with years ago. The moment Strom saw Aspen, his feeling for her came back, although he many be a few year younger he knew what he wanted.

Storm is a well written and a passionate love story with many intense and heated moment, hard choices and fears to face. I love Aspen's strong side that melts when she is around him. Strom finds the courage in himself to face what he needs to so he can become a better man.

A beautiful love story

I've been waiting for Storm's story and it was a good one. Aspen is the perfect match. They worked together earlier in their military careers but because she was a Warrant Officer there are non-frat rules between ranks. She was retiring and was stationed at Fort Wainwright not from from her friends. So she and her friend went up to visit them. She and Storm reacquainted really fast. He didn't tell her about his fear of flying after his accident. Read how she reacts ands how the book ends. It's such a good book. Written by Cindy :)

Aspen is an army pilot about to retire. She visited Three Rivers to pay a visit to some army friends there and then she sees him.
After almost dying in a plane accident, he is afraid of flying. Just the idea of getting in his plane to fly makes him feel ill. However, love is in the air and helps him to overcome all his fears.
I liked the idea of the female pilot. It is not very common in the books, at least, in the ones I have read.

Wow! This book is amazing to read; the characters have great chemistry considering they were stationed together in the military. It's been years since they've seen each other, but now they can't ignore the sparks that have come off between them. A night of steamy passion (pure and hot 😏) leads them to find the one true love that they have been dreaming. The epilogue was well-written and I like how perfect they are and so much in love.

'An Ice Age couldn't shrink my desire for you, Aspen'

The sparks have been flying for years but finally it is the right time for Storm and Aspen and those sparks quickly become a raging wildfire!
The ten years between them shrinks to nothing as they laugh, flirt, reminisce, fly and plan for the future they have both been dreaming about.
Storm and Aspen are one of my favourite couples so far in this series, they have a history, so theirs is a little less instalove than others in the series.
I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

This book is about an elder woman, younger man with a long term longing for each other
Aspen is also military and a pilot, so as Storm has been. They met a long while ago, but never had the chance to live out their belongings. Storm had had an accident he nearly died, and now he needs a new chance in life.
The story is filled with drama, passion, lust, and love. Both characters are really genuine, and I loved the chemistry between them. This is a great and wonderful story. Enjoy.

Aspen is soon retiring as a pilot in the military and when she joins her friends in Alaska she runs into Storm her former crew chief and younger than her but now he is a sexy mature man so the attraction they have for each other is strong. Storm always wanted to be a pilot but recently he has grounded himself due to a accident but with the encouragement from Aspen he gets back into the sky and also in her heart. Loved the story and the couple are perfect for each other.

Chief Warrant Officer Aspen Stone Walks into a bar and can’t believe how much Storm has grown in over the past 10 years. Considering when she last saw him he was still a little gangly 19-year-old chasing after her like a lost puppy. Now fast forward and he’s growing several more inches and a lot more muscle. This is not an ordinary crush. This might be for a lifetime. No good story line.

Surrendering Is Hard

But so worth it when love is on the line. This is a "reverse" age gap. I hate that term, but that's a fight for another day. I loved so much about this book. Especially the representation of an older woman in leadership roles in the military. I love the fierce way Storm was determined to love Aspen the way she was. He didn't try to change her or fought against her. He stated facts and Aspen didn't deny him. Love it!

Oh I loved this book and could not put it down..
Once being on the same crew both Storm and Aspen could not do anything about their attraction to eachother . Now years later both still feel the same attraction, but now can do something about it.
It takes that one special person to help chase the fear away and face it.

If you have read the other stories in this series, then you are aware that just two stories ago Storm's life was in question. Would he survive to get his own HEA? Well he survived but Storm now has a secret. A secret that may keep him from getting his girl.

Three Rivers Alaska works it’s magic in another couple in this latest addition to the series. This book features Aspen and Storm. They were both in the military and had met many years ago but nothing happened then. That is not the case when they meet again. Sparks fly from the beginning and don’t stop. Super fun and sexy quick read!!! Loved it!!!

Absolutely so excited for this incredible story. Have wanted Storm to find his HEA, since first reading about him. Aspen is the perfect person to give him a reason for living and finding his wings again. Loved Dakota and cannot wait for her and Elliot to find their perfect ending. Love Storm and Aspen

Storm caught my attention in the last couple of books. I felt so sorry for him after his accident. This story was so sweet and hot! I love how Kali writes both her characters as strong, independent people that discover love. Not one character, in any of her books, is TSTL 🤣
