Ko'olau's Secret
Kyleigh Flanagan, receives a strange note from her father, an Army Major stationed on the Hawaiian Island of O'ahu. The wording tells her something is not right. Her calls to him go unanswered.
With her best friend Marisa, Kyleigh sets off for O'ahu to find out what’s going on. Her father’s commanding officer has no idea where he is but ordered an investigation.
The major had contacted the Honolulu Police Department with information about suspicions he had. But what information?
After checking with HPD, Kyleigh and Marisa are told Detectives O’Shea and Swanson were assigned to the case. But the detectives are not available to speak to. Kyleigh is still in the dark. She is not one to sit around and do nothing when her father is missing.
Could the mysterious Ko'olau Range, which holds many secrets, have an answer to her father’s disappearance?
The two handsome detectives cause sparks to fly, and not the good kind. At least, not at first. Can Kyleigh trust them? Authorities had let her down in the past when her mother was killed and the murderer not apprehended.

Kept Me Reading
I enjoyed being transported to Hawaii while reading this book. There was a good mixture of suspense and sweet romance. The characters in the story, and therefore, the readers, are able to see the hand of God working things out.

Sharon K Connell is a new to me author. Ko'olau's Secret is a page turning Christian Suspense Romance full of adventure and Hawaiian culture, cuisine and more. Believable characters (Kyleigh, Jer, Marisa, & Bryce) including an elderly Hawaiian lady (Ilima Palakiko), fast moving plot, and a surprise ending. This reader always enjoys when authors including back ground information on their research. Thank you Sharon K Connell for the JUST FOR FUN - Interesting facts about O'ahu and Hawaii. Ko'olau's Secret is an April selection for the 2024 International Reading Challenge - Around the World in 50 (minus 1) books.

A gripping story line with wonderful characters in a fabulous setting. When Kyleigh Flanagan receives a strange note from her father, she leaves the safety of her life in Texas to travel to the Hawaiian Island of O'ahu. Accompanied by her best friend, Marisa, the women receive little help from the army or the police on the island. That is, until Detectives O’Shea and Swanson get more involved, but can Kyleigh trust them?

Loved this book
Wonderful story, I don't think I've ever read a book set in Hawaii. Not only was the story fast paced and exciting but the Author gave lots of information to help you understand the pronunciation of the language and their beliefs and traditions. Highly recommend this one.

riveting read
This book was a mix of mystery, romance and a lot of education in Hawaiian cultural traditions. There were many things that clicked for me as being similar to the cultural traditions of the Māori people in New Zealand. I enjoyed the story and learning new things about Oahu.

This strong Christian romance kept my attention throughout. It captured my interest with all the intriguing twists and turns of the story. I liked the way the author included the Christian message and also the help with the different Hawaiian words. I will certainly be reading more books by Sharon Connell.

Loved this story
Wow. This book has it all. Romance , suspense, joy and fear. The setting made me want to see it In person. It kept me up late reading. Take a trip to Hawaii without the flight. I look forward to reading more

Amazing book
This is the first book that I read by Sharon Connell and it won't be the last. It was a story that kept me on the edge of my seat. A story of romance, suspense, but most importantly God's love for each of us.

An enjoyable book
A fun read. I'm a guy so I don't normally read romance novels. Sharon did a great job of pulling me into the book before disclosing the romance. No spoilers here.

New to me author. I enjoyed returning to Hawaii on this mystery adventure. At places, I didn't want to put it down. I will definitely read other novels by this author. Bravo, Sharon!

This was a lovely read. It was a perfect mix of mystery and romance. My favorite part was how the author incorporated all of the Hawaiian words as well as their culture into the novel.

Wonderful Christian Romantic Suspense novel from a new to me author. I enjoyed the way Hawaiian culture was interwoven into this suspenseful read. I look forward to reading more from this author.
