Charisma Jones My life has been one struggle after another. Between my mom being a single mother, her illness, and finally her death, I don't think anything can rock my world on its axis anymore. One conversation changes what I thought my life was and makes me question everything I thought was real. Especially when one man walks into my life when I need someone the most. Can make something real work between us?
Jesse “Grinder” Willams As the Enforcer of the Blazing Outlaws MC, I take my job of protection seriously. I never wanted anything more than the variety of women being thrown my way because of the club and to make sure my brothers were protected and whole each time they go out on a run or other club business. One chance meeting with Charisma changes my entire outlook on life and what I'm really looking for. There's just one problem; a major problem. Can I make the choice between Charisma and the club? Will I be able to walk away from everything I want?
Jesse "Grinder" Williams is the Enforcer of the Blazing Outlaws MC, he has always had women but never formed an attachment to any of them but when he sees Charisma Jones he knows she is the one he will make his Ol' Lady. However when Grinder realizes who Charisma is he knows he is going to make a difficult choice where she and the club is concerned.
Charisma was raised in a world of secrets, she loves her mother but after years of caring her and seeing her wither away from cancer, she wants some answers. When she finds out the truth she is torn on what it all means. Though when she needs support the most she finds Grinder inserting himself into her life, he becomes her rock but she doesn't realize the the rules of the club and what that means for the an she is quickly falling in love with.
Wonderful story, I thought this one was a bit more complex as it delves into some of the rules of the club. Grinder is fascinating and I was pulled in by his complete dedication to his club and then to Charisma. This book pulled me into this series.
The last time a new Blazing Outlaws book came out, I was a month behind. I just didn't know, and when I found out, I instantly bought it. This time, I couldn't click the buy button fast enough. As a brother, I didn't remember much about Grinder except for the one time that he took care of a problem walking around the clubhouse completely naked. It left quite the impression. It's just too bad that this book didn't leave the same. It was just ok.
Sure, some of the brothers are settling down, but that's never going to happen to Grinder. He enjoys variety way too much to settle down. Besides, as enforcer, it's his job to protect the club and everyone in it. Shouldn't he reward himself for a job well done? That is until he's literally bowled over by a woman coming out of the pharmacy. A woman that he can't stop thinking about. A woman that he would do anything for a glimpse of. A woman who's off limits in all possible ways.
I think what makes this book just ok is that it really doesn't serve a purpose except to advance the overall timeline. If it had been plotted out a little better, it might not have been that noticeable. In my opinion, the first third should have been about Grinder and Charisma's relationship. It should have focused on how they overcome all of their obstacles to actually be together. I thought their relationship was a little too syrup sweet to be believable. Sure it's an MC, and he's a biker. They just have a tendency to move faster than normal in their world. This was just too much without any real outside drama or conflict to make it feel natural. You can probably get a cavity from reading this.
The best part of the book was actually the set up for the next book. In my opinion, this should have been done about half way through the story. It would have been a true test of their relationship as Charisma gets her first taste of MC life. I liked them together. I just didn't like their story. Oh well, on to the next one. I am just hoping that the next book follows the path that has already been set up. You'll know when you get a sneak peak at the end of this book.
This is such an intense book in this series. Charisma has had so much loss from taking care of her mother to finding out that her family has been closer to her than she has ever thought. Since she’s always concentrated on taking care of her mother, she’s never really had any sort of life so when she gets told by her dying mother that her family members are part of a MC club. Her world is flipped upside down and amongst that group of family she starts crushing on one of the club members. Grinder has been the sort of man that never thought he would find an old lady to feel and complete his life but the moment that he lays eyes on the MC princess of the club, his whole world is going to change. There are so many difficult decisions and battles that this couple has to challenge because of the rules and roles that they play in the MC. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book in this series.
While I normally love this author's books, this one was just ok. I loved the characters and the plot was good, but the writing was a bit disappointing. The was just so much filler in the book that it took away from the story. details of what they eat at each meal and other things like this just don't add to the story when it is done over and over. The book would have been much better had that been left out and the book a bit shorter. However, I still look forward to more books by this author.
From beginning to end I couldn't put this book down. I highly recommend you start at the beginning of this series to get a full understanding of what's going on before you read Grinder's story. Grinder & Rissa's story is emotional. There were so many moments I want to point out, but I don't want to ruin their story for someone else. I miss Wrath just as much as Grinder and for some strange reason I don't feel like he's gone. My opinion is he's being held by whoever Carla was helping. I can't wait to see what happens next!
I gave this book a 4-star review for the story and the characters, but I have to give it a 2-star review for content editing. There were several times that I had to reread a sentence(s) and edit several words myself to make it reflect the author's actual meaning in context. It can get a little distracting and frustrating as it breaks your reading flow.
I guess my only issue is that a main character in this book was supposedly killed off two books ago in book three. and like no one is talking about it in the other comments lol
What a totally awesome book! I just absolutely loved it from beginning to end and I can't wait for the next book to come out! A definite must read! Happy Reading!!!!! :)
It’s a sweet soft, hot, light filled read. This author can write dark, so getting a lighter book is always a pleasant surprise. The sadness at the beginning notwithstanding.
