What am I?

The question gnaws at my insides, keeping me up at night. I was never human, not with shifter blood running through my veins. But now I know I’m more than that. I’ve touched magic. Some say I’m a goddess reborn, and that scares me almost as much as not knowing. I don’t want to be that. I want to be me. I want to forge my own destiny, not be forced into one.

But if I want to choose my path, I’ll need to deal with a few problems first. Starting with the god I just robbed who isn’t about to let me go. In fact, he’s sent a whole swarm of demons after me. Then, there’s the insane brother of the god who I’m Soulbound to. Oh, and to top it all off, my old Alpha has found a way to make himself immortal.

Everyone can control their powers, except for me. And it’s about time I changed that. Maybe then I can save my family and have the strength to be with the man I secretly long for. But can I unlock the secret inside of me before time runs out? Because the next Wild Moon is almost here, and when it comes, everything is going to change one last time…

Riley is one of those early-morning people you love to hate, because she swears she doesn't need caffeine, even though the coffee-maker is connected to her smartphone. She lives in a three-story townhouse by the good graces of a tabby-cat who rules the house, the couch, the table, well, basically everywhere. When she's not groveling for forgiveness for neglecting to pet her kitty enough, Riley is strapped in to her writing chair coming up with crazy worlds where she can make her own decisions of when feeding time is and how much coffee can be drank without her friends--of which she has three--holding yet another intervention that they threaten to post on the internet.

This series had a unique take involving gods and other worlds/planes which had me enjoying book 1. However, the storyline and romance were very drawn out. The same issues were found in all three reads. There was not enough action or change of direction or spice for me in the end.

Dani is an incredibly strong FMC, yet it took her 2 1/2 books to figure out her blood is what unlocked her power. I had that sorted in book 1, so it made her look a little touched in the head. Add to that the unending need for things to be her way....she just got irritating by this read.

Wish I had more positive to say because this had a ton of potiental.

Happy reading,
DD💕

Why I ever read this far into this last book I will never know... Other then I still had questions that are so far unanswered. I'm 81% into this last book and I still stand by my original opinion. Dani is stupid and her wolf is even more stupid. The wild moon is here and they know what that means. Dani will change to her wolf and Lars is gonna do the ritual that will ascend him to godhood on earth which is a terrible thing and both agree that is something that can not be allowed to happen... So what happens? Dani shifts to her wolf and everything is forgotten and the wolf is free and all she cares about is going for a run... *facepalm* really? We are playing that stupid card? We are supposed to believe that is the only thing the wolf cares about? Running free? After everything they have agreed on and been thru... now is the perfect time to run free and screw everything else. I would have been more believing if they had been led off on a false trail. Anything that had to do with what they were supposed to be doing... but to run free under the moon is the last thing I am going to believe. I can tell you after this book I will never read another book by the author. It pushes stupidity to the extremes and believability along with it.

I loved this ending. Everything that i didnt like in the previous book were tied up nicely in this finale to this series. Full on action with Dani (FMC) having to finally except what she was destined to do. Ah her and Vir together in this book put a smile on my face. Their relationship was endearing and i genuinely liked them. It was a bloody great ending all round

"Fate Unbound" is the conclusion to Dani's story. Time is running out for Dani to save her friends and family and to find out who she is. This story will keep you on your toes as Dani and Vir go up against Hades' minions all while she is learning about new powers and trying to figure out how to defeat her former Alpha Lars. Will she succeed ? Once you pick up this series you won't want to miss a thing and won't want to put this fast paced read down. I read an Advanced copy in exchange for an Honest review. All opinions are my own

This is a fab finale and I loved how engaging every book was in the series. Well written, the characters and supernatural peeps were all fascinating. There was a lot of mystery, action, twists and even magical battles to be found in this exciting read. It was really engaging and a satisfying end to this series.

Things picked up in this book I found myself enjoying this one more than the other two. The Female lead still annoyed me with her attitude at times but she did get a bit better. Lots of action. Good characters.

Dani is now soulbound to Vir, an extremely handsome god. The empress of Amunlea has also gifted Dani with powers that sure make a difference in a fight. To appease Hades, they must first take out Irr, the shifter God of Death, and also happens to be the brother of Vir. A magical dome. A sword of a god wielding death. A would-be-god must be stopped. Holy cow! What an absolute ripper.

Disaster, but intriguing…

The storyline itself was good, speaking of the trilogy as a whole, but the writing in the individual books was lacking.

Other than making the MC and heroine stupid and slow to grasps concepts, hot headed, spoiled, disrespectful and entitled, to name a few, there was tons of recaps that weren’t needed, things that took place previously being mentioned later as if it was a new concept, repeated details of things and overly detailed descriptions of things, some of which were given at an inappropriate time in the scene. The inner monologue was repetitive and sometimes inserted at the wrong time like when you’re facing an opponent in battle but there’s two pages of inner monologue where the MC thinks about her love life, sex, the soulbond, how she make a mistake, how she’s not ready, probably if even her wardrobe before it goes back to the battle commencing. Ridiculous.

The most annoying thing was that the author made her so dumb (likely unintentionally to drag the story out) that it tool her until damn near the end of this book, book3, to figure out how she activated Amunlea’s temple and got through the barrier. This also made Vir look like an idiot since he was the one trying to help her figure it out, retracing her actions and the situation.

Anyway, I only read this one because I wanted to know how it ended despite book 2 being horrible. See my notes, highlights and commentary on Goodreads. Happy reading!

Amazing Ending . . .

Still wanting to forge her own destiny and not be forced into one chosen by someone else, Dani ignores the talk that she is a goddess reborn. She is soulbound to Vir. But the god Hades has sent demons after her. There is an insane brother to deal with, Irr, the shifter god of Death who is the brother of Vir. And her old Alpha Lars has found a way to become immortal to take over the human and shifter worlds. Under the next Wild Moon, less than two weeks away, Lars could be born a god on Earth with powers Vir could not stand up against. Everything will change then one final time. Will Dina be ready to stop Lars? Will the powers from Amunlea, the shifter empress, give Dina what she needs to defeat him? No one else has ever been able to use Amunlea’s power except for Dina.

Dina was more than shifter, but they were not completely sure what she really was now. And Dani and Vir still have to deal with Hades as she learns about her powers and how she can defeat Lars. Grab your copy and find out how everything works out in the end. So much is depending on Dani. Can she find a way to save them all?

I have rarely HATED a FMC as much as I despised Dani. She rebels against her soul bond with Vir because she wants the freedom to choose her own love yet in the first book she whines about not having found a soulbond, which, by definition in this shifter culture links you with someone you don’t choose. She’s whiny, bratty bitchy, constantly irritating and rude and awful to the MMC for no actual reason when he’s done NOTHING TO HURT HER EVER!!! She hates her old boyfriend for telling her that she’s adopted when she’s 21! And this somehow “ruins” her life. She keeps questioning her parents’ love even after they’ve been living and affectionate and label them as liars,
She goes on and on about how much she hates her ex without any real rationale for the amount of vitriol.
She’s ineffective, incredibly stupid and I even hate her wolf as much as I hate her.
I generally like this author’s books but this series was absolutely awful! I’m skimming through it and I may not finish because it’s making me so angry about how much I despise Dani!

As expected, it didn't get better from the first two. I skimmed most of the book just because I wanted to see how the plot lines would tie off and wanted answers. The dialogue is not great and I could not get behind the way the author wrote Vir's speech - I didn't expect it to be stilted or anything, but the guy has been alone fighting creatures for a thousand years. It took until halfway thru the third and final book for Dani to figure out it was blood that activated the power in the temple. This is my same complaint from before - she was working with a god and a vampire who are both over a thousand years old and NO ONE even suggested this? Instead Vir just goes along with her plan to beat the hell out of her and scare her into fearing for her life in Amunlea's temple in a scene that was really dumb and had my eyes rolling. If y'all had just killed Lars in the first one then we'd be fine.

84% - called Lars Vir

Dani's character is also becoming really annoying. She complains and runs instead of talking things out and trying to find solutions. When her parents were taken in the first book she hired a private investigator to find them but never went through any of their stuff back at the house because it was "too painful". Despite being able to feel Vir through the bond Dani continues to just guess he's behind her when it's really someone else. She has a vision that reveals who her birth parents were but doesn't talk to her adoptive parents at all about it even though they were obviously in the pack at the same time. She decides to bargain with Hades to give his souls back but doesn't say anything about Irr and Lars. Not saying Hades would have been happy to help, but if she told him Irr put the stolen souls in Direen and she could get there he might have had ideas to contribute as another ancient god.

Riley is struggling with being Soulbound to the shifter god Vir, when her previous soulbond was severed she expected to be free. To top it all off she has to figure out how to unlock the power of another God so she can use it to fulfill a bargain with Hades, and stop her former Alpha from claiming godlike powers and try to take over both the human and shifter worlds.
I love these characters they are well written and unique. Riley is young, but smart enough to realize that in order to save the people she cares about she will need help from friends and Vir. Action packed and exciting with magical battles, and confrontations with gods. Plenty of unexpected twists will keep a reader engrossed. I loved this book, I think it's a fantastic conclusion to a wonderful, must read series.

With less than two weeks to save the earth from Lars Dani and her group of paranormals are under attack.
Dani and her group of paranormal friends sat in Aaron's Penthouse talking of how to proceed against Lars her former Alpha who had collected several ancient artifacts to perform a ritual on the Wolf Moon that will endow him with godlike powers and the Wolf Moon is less then two weeks away. Noticing twinkling red lights outside the window she soon realizes that these are Jinn minions of Hades and that they are attacking. After the first wave Dani orders the more vulnerable of them to take the elevator to the basement while the rest hold them off.

Having read and loved the two previous books in this series I was so happy when this one was published. I have a confession to make I sat down and re-read the first two before reading this one, and can now say that I loved the whole of this series and was hooked from start to finish. I enjoyed the continuing storyline, which contained so much mystery and intrigue. As for the characters they are well-drawn Shifters and God even Hades, what more could we ask for?

The interaction between all of the characters is so well done but I think overall this third and final book in Vir and Dani's story is my favourite, the best of the series. I just loved their determination to do everything they can to stop Lars. What an ending.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Fate Unbound, the third Soulbound Shifters book by Riley Storm. I really enjoyed this read. I loved the way the characters developed and grew through the storyline. There were a lot of action packed adventure, drama, discoveries, humor, sexy heat and twists in the plot which I felt took this read to the next level. Dani and Vir finally learn to work together and the resulting character chemistry is scalding. A great trio of reads that must be read in series order for the storyline to work. Mature Readers Suggested.

Great end of this series.
You need to read the other books in thisn trilogy first to understand everything in this one.
Epic fights against evil again, Dani is a strong woman who gets to know her own power more and more.
She also knows she can trust her friends. She only has to work on herself, so she feels that she can do it and win it.

A book about a strong woman and with action and fun in it.
If you are into a good shifter story with a fight against evil in it, this is certainly a book for you to read.

Dani is soul bound to Virr - and he is a God - but what is she? She knows she is the only one who can destroy Lars, and save the worlds from his evil. But first, they have to beat Irr - brother to Virr.
Will she be able to harness and use the power within her? Will she be able to beat Lars and save everyopne she cares about?
Will Dani and Virr have their happy ever after? Have loved every book in this series!

This is book three of the Soulbound Shifters Series and features Dani and Vir. They were accidentally soulbound when Dani and Johnathan’s enforced vow was voided. Dani and Vir had two huge challenges to conquer and Dani not only had to figure out the source of her power, but to channel and enhance it. Good story and extremely well defined characters create a HEAFN. There is still much to do! Good read!

Third and final book of the series. A wonderful conclusion that is filled with action and twists. Dani has Hades after her, an evil god wanting to take over the world and an alpha that wants to be a god and control all shifters. So the almost twenty-two year old is busy. And don’t forget that she has somehow gotten powers that she is completely clueless about. Then there is Vir, the god she is soul bounded to. The tension does heat up between them.

Sometimes, you have to battle, to appreciate what you have. Dani, has a few more challenges to meet in her pursuit of balance. She is courageous brave and finally comes into her own. She finds some answers and questions she can relax with. She has grown a lot and reprioritized her goals. Does she see her mate any differently? Her mate still hanging around? What influences her decisions now? Sound ending. Good story! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Honestly the main character is just a little too self absorbed and seems to be constantly rebelling against love and romance for no particular reason. And her whole trauma because she found out she was adopted was simply beaten to death. I like the word building and overarching storyline but felt Vir deserved better and that her obsession with being in charge and free was a bit vague and annoying.

such a great ending

This book was my favorite from the whole series! Dani coming to realize so many things and other unknowns finally bringing us some answers about Amunlea. Lars and Irr getting what they had coming. The fights were what I expected and I was pleasantly happy with how the details poured out for those 2 main battles.
Lastly, I love how Vir and Dani came together and how perfect their love is.

Great. Wish there was more books!

I loved this series. It was filled with adventures and I didn't want to stop reading.

It focused on the story line and not men and women encounters (you know so much details it could be pages and pages of just to much) This series wasn't about that. It was Her Story and you wanted to find out how her life would end up.

I wish there was more.

I read all three parts of this book together so my review is same for all three... its nice change from the usual pull of blood hounding at Full moon deciding your fate... in a way that she totally rejects it. You go girl !!! I like these new tropes of books coming out where Heroine fights the pull and decides with her head screwed on straight.

There is also plenty romance between a certain God and herself to keep you liking this book alot more.

Dani and the pack go to war

I don't want to give anything away but there may be spoilers if you haven't read the previous books. First, I wanted Dani and Aaron together. I understand the basic reasoning behind choosing Vir, but I still think Aaron was a better choice. Second, what is Fred?! That's all concerning him. Lastly, the ending was a little different than I expected but it is still good.

Fantastic read

The author did a wonderful job of painting pictures with her words, that made me feel I was there seeing it first hand. There was adventure, sadness, love and happiness throughout the story. Along with plot twists and turns bringing about the revelations of what the characters needed to do. All so exciting.

Most Amazing Story Ever!!!

All the shifter books that I’ve read, and I have read a lot, and none can top this series. I hated for it to end!!! Talk about a woman coming into her own and by golly she doesn’t need a man to save her! She saves the world cause she’s just that amazing.
