Kidnapped by the Inquisition, primary school teacher and werewolf, Regina Klau, is sure she’s about to meet her maker. Supes who are dragged into the science labs don’t see many more sunrises, and it won’t be long before it’s her turn.
When vampire Kable is called in to investigate, things get personal. It’s his Bride who’s been taken. Leaving Reggie six years ago was the hardest thing he’d ever done, but the woman was born to be a mother, and he could never give her that. Now she’s in danger, and it’s up to Kable to find her—before she turns up as another of the endless stream of bodies he’s been investigating for the past year.
A tormented werewolf. A protective vampire. Too many secrets. Love scenes with BITE. You’ve been warned—now let's have some fun!
This book is the third in a series. I read it going in blind and as a standalone. Despite not knowing the back story in the first books, I was able to follow. This is a Novella but packs so much detail and action. Even with that said, it was not rushed or overwhelming. I will be going back to read the first two. Well written and sucked me in.
SE Welsh has done it yet again! This book is jam packed with so much & it is a quick read. I loved the first two books in this series & this one is just as good, if not better.
We get more answers behind what has been going on in the Supes world and who might be behind the evils that the Inquisition has committed.
Kaleb, a vampire, is investigating disappearances of multiple Supes over the last few years. But this investigation turns personal when his Mate, Reggie who is a Wolf shifter, is one who was taken. The reunion between these two was something else, you really need to read it to find out. But wow!
Kable is a vampire and is called in to help find the missing supernaturals. Seeing his brides name on the list makes this personal for him.
Review-
This is the third book in From the shadows series. I read this as a standalone and didn’t feel lost. This is a novella, so it’s fast paced but I don’t feel like it was rushed. I Liked both characters and after reading this little novella I will be going back and reading the first two ❤️If you’re in the mood for a fast pace action novella with some spicy 🌶 scenes the go to kindle and grab with one !
Vampire Kable is looking into the disappearances of supernaturals who have been dying horrible deaths as they are being used for experiments. But when Regina, a wolf shifter, disappears in a similar manner, it becomes personal. She is his fated mate. He left her 6 years ago because she was meant to have children and he could never give her children. But he doesn’t want her to end up as the other missing supernaturals have. Will he find her? Will he be able to save her? Is there a future for them?
Kable, a vampire, has been investigating multiple supernatural disappearances for a good while with no results. However, things hit close to home when he’s called in to the investigate the last person he thought would go missing-Regina, his fated mate and a werewolf. Leaving her once was hard enough, interspecies biology is not in these two’s favor-but totally losing her?! Unacceptable!
Regina and Kable were well-paired, especially once they got their act together (although I would have liked a smidge more personal development between those two, but that’s just me.)There are smexy moments to enjoy, but this story definitely felt plot driven and overall, I liked the balance. I wanted to know why the Inquistion was experimenting and targeting Supernaturals. Happily, Welsh has amped up the plot exponentially and I was thrilled with all the new tidbits!! Supernatural history and all… :)
Also, what in the world is up with Luna and Cole???!!!
Shadowed Intentions was a madcap ride with fated mates and some twisty surprises I didn’t see coming-very wicked play on good guy/bad guy Welsh! I personally recommend reading the two previous novellas because 1) love the characters, 2) it does give a bit of background so you’re not jumping in totally blind when you start this story.
Small but mighty. This bite sized novella packs a lot in.
Kable has been investigating some gruesome deaths over the past year. Now he has been tasked with searching for missing Supes linked to those cases. But it quickly becomes personal when a familiar name is on the list of missing.
Kidnapped werewolf Regina is the latest captive for the Inquisition and their scientists to experiment with. Her Demon Prince cell-neighbour is sure rescue is imminent. But can their rescue team make it to them before one of them becomes the next fatality?
With a Demon Horde, a pack of Werewolves, some witches, and one pissed off vampire mate, the bad guys better run. Kable will stop at nothing to rescue his bride. But after the dust settles, will she accept him? Will she forgive him for walking away years ago?
This was another fast paced wickedly good little bite of a story. I love the continuation of this series and the world building is becoming more complex. I enjoyed the history of the realms being filled out more. There is a great mix of supernatural elements. This one takes place quite a few years after the last book. Those years add a tension between Reggie & Kable. Kable walked away for noble reasons, but denying the bond did neither of them any good. I love a good unfulfilled desires storyline. The longing is obvious. There is a very emotional quality to the writing. There is a good bite of heat between the two, and I am intrigued by the hybrid possibilities. The Demon Prince is kind of awesome and I'm looking forward to seeing more of him in the future. The years that have passed also mean that some characters like Luna & Cole are now on the verge of being all grown up. That ending between them.... Slay. Definitely an interesting development, but I was so hoping Cole would finally stake his claim. Looking forward to seeing what the goddess has in store for Luna.
This series started out as a really good shifter/ witch romance and has developed into a really great paranormal romance series with various paranormal creatures and a touch of urban fantasy.
Each book has been a great romance but with an on going arching story that really adds to the enjoyment of the books. At the end of each book I'm thinking who will be the leads in the romance part of the book next and what will happen with the baddies.
I loved this book, it brought all of the previous couples into the story, while still being about the main characters and their fight to be together....and this time we get a better idea of what the shadowy baddies are upto and who is behind them...its clearly building to a big finish and I can't wait to read the next book.
I highly recommend this series, but although you can read as individual books,I recommend reading in order so you know who's who and whats going on in the background.
Love this author!

Kable is a vampire he has been investigating the disappearance of supernaturals now he’s in Echo going into the pack lands to find out what’s going on and to see who’s gone missing from the pack. Kable’s bride Regina lives there he never claimed her because he didn’t want to bring her into his dark world plus Regina wanted children which he could never give her so he left now he finds out that the Inquisition has taken her and Kable is furious so he’s going to tear apart the world to find her and never let her go again. Fantastic story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend this book.
Kable is sent to try to found out about supes coming up missing. This one at Echo his bride was one taken, the ones taken were experimented on. The lab was located and got the people out before it blew up. To save Regina he had to turn her or lose her but she didn’t care as long as she was with Kable. Good book!
The third book in the From the Shadows series another great story in this series. I was not putting it down until I had finished reading primary school teacher and werewolf, Regina Klau and vampire Kable's story. The story was well worth reading. Ohh my Goshhh!! Welsh need to make these books longer, I love the plot and the characters, the way they are described for me have been one of the best versions of creatures (angels, demons, gods, wolves and witches) of which I have read and they are already my favorites, I really hope that in the last book they add more chapters because they deserve it and I feel that it is possible with the world that the author has created in the series and the material that it has.
The blurb looked promising. The story is about vampire Kable who is called in to investigate a kidnapping. Things get personal when the women who's been taken is his Bride Regina, who he left 6 years before. The storyline developed fast, a lot of things happening & of course the couple gets their HEA. It was a nice story but i didn't feel any real chemistry between the characters, so it was an ok read for me this time.

I am so happy that we finally see happiness between Reggie and Kable. I have lived and breathed entirely for this book to be in existence and I can't fault it at all. This may be a short novella but it has a huge impact on its readers. I absolutely adored this book and look forward massively to more books from this skillful and wonderful author.

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world that was created. The descriptions of the characters and their feelings are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind.
The series continues with some answers but more questions as it comes together with action and plot. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
