Another pleasant story. I liked Madame Hauntly. I feel like, when I'm older, I could be Madame Hauntly.

As usual though, I get a little frustrated that I don't get all of the answers that I want, but it's still a really nice read. It's fun to talk about whether or not these people are real "monsters" or not and what other monsters could appear in these stories.

Read this with my twins. They absolutely loved it! Madame Hauntly is just adorable character. She and Mrs. Jeepers both are favorite characters of my kids in the Bailey School Kids and Bailey City Monsters series. I intend to keep reading these books to them in the future. Fun, exciting, cute and none too scary for younger children! A win for the entire family!

Bailey City is always filled with excitement. When the Hauntly family of the Haunlty Manor Inn comes into town, rumours start that Madame Hauntly is a vampire. She sleeps in dirt. Wears vampire inspired clothing, and tells interesting stories. But, is she really a vampire?

Bailey City Monsters always puts on a performance in the books. The moral of the story digs deeper - acceptance of those that are different. Great book for ages 8 and up.

Great "Halloween" themed story for kids!

A silly series that creates more questions than it answers. It's great for formulating theories as well as predictions. The class dynamics should be very familiar to those of the Magic School Bus generation.

Madam Hauntley, Mrs. Jeepers’ mother, arrives at one of Bailey City’s inns. A fine story, even if it creates more questions than it answers (typical for these books). Hauntley puts on an intriguing performance, and, unlike the Bailey School Kids series this one actually has a clear moral.

This book will be right up some kids "alley." Especially with the vampire frenzy in popular culture these days. I would recommend this book for middle to upper elementary grades.
