Despite his attempts to ignore the storm brewing within him, Liam and, consequently, Kara are forced to make decisions that thrust them into situations they never imagined. Promising to never leave the others side, the depths of the couples love undergoes test after test as Liam reveals his oldest secret—one that he never expected to tell anyone.Unsealed is a story about love and loss, true friendship, the constant process of self-discovery and, ultimately, acceptance. Inspired by true events, it looks at the value of empathy and reminds readers that there are two sides to every story.
Ever since I was a kid, I've had a passion for words and storytelling. After completing my undergrad at Queen's University in Kingston, ON, I moved to San Diego and earned a graduate degree in Rhetoric from San Diego State University. In my writing, I strive to shed light on my characters' rawest emotions as they live their unique realities because I believe that on an emotional level, we are all similar. My hope is that, if I can connect readers with my characters, I can build compassion and understanding for their often flawed personalities.
An avid animal lover, traveler, equestrian, and yogi, I spend much of my spare time hiking, paddle boarding, or at a barn working with horses with her rescue dog, Sully, perpetually at her side.
Wow, this book was very well written. The author clearly makes you aware of the emotions between the 2 main characters and why they respond to the situations as they do. Such a tough story, but truly inspiring at the same time. Kara is remarkable in the way she supports Liam, while having to deal with a huge revelation that changes her life forever. If only every transgender could have as much support as Liam had in Kara.
