I got this book for free at a conference, overall it contains some good points about state corruption, the excess of bureaucracy within states disrupting business. However, the issue I have with this book is that it is dogmatically dedicated to free-market ideology, it more often than not defines the success of countries by their ability to adapt to neo-liberalism and by their ease of doing business and does not seem to consider other factors such as inequality and poverty reduction, thus it is limited in its scope, I believe purposely so that it can fit the authors intended narrative, ideally it would engage with other ideas without dismissing them so quickly.
