The Knights of Fury and the Wind Dragons MCs come together in New York Times bestselling author Chantal Fernando’s gritty new series.
Wind Dragon princess Cara and ex-cop Decker will have to cross every line to be together—including the law.
At a Turning Point
It was a typical PI gig: track down the client’s newly discovered half sister. For ex-cop Seth Decker, finding Cara Ward was the easy part. Walking away from the sexy schoolteacher is going to be a whole different story.
At a Crossroads
Cara thought she had the road ahead all mapped out—she’d be a biker’s old lady, straddling a Harley behind the man she fell for in her teens. But she’s all grown up. And while the Wind Dragons will always be family, Cara wants something more, something for herself. Decker may not be a biker, but that means his woman will always come first.
Caught in the Cross Fire
Once an MC princess, always an MC princess, though. When Cara’s connection to the Wind Dragons puts her in the line of fire from a gang out for revenge, Decker realizes the safest place for her is by his side. After all, there’s nothing he won’t do to protect the woman he loves. Even if it means crossing the line of the law he once swore to uphold.
Decker's Dilemma is the first book in Chantal Fernando's new series, Knights & Dragons MC, bringing together two clubs from her previous series and revisiting some beloved characters. This book can be read as a full standalone though.
I actually wasn't sure how I would feel about this book since from previous books I thought Cara would be with someone different but I honestly loved Decker as her hero. He was so sweet with her but still had that badass vibe that I love about the characters in these books. Not that Cara needed someone to protect her, she was just as equally badass and wasn't afraid to put up a fight.
Overall, loved the characters, loved the romance, and love the excitement of waiting to see what will be next for this series.
ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.
Decker's Dilemma is the first book in a new spin off series by Chantel Fernando of both her Knights of Fury MC and Wind Dragons MC series. I've read one of her books before, but that was it and I had no problem following along.
What a fantastic start to the series! This book was a little more angst/other man drama than I typically like to read, but Chantel did a great job and I really enjoyed it! The book was well written, the storyline interesting, and the characters likable and relatable. I liked how the women are all bad @ss and their men are not intimidated by that. They're still alpha, yet support their women in their endeavors.
I have been a fan of Chantal for a while and again did enjoy this book and was happy to read about previous members of other books. I liked Cara however I have to say that she forgave Rhett entirely too easily, yes,! she had a history with him, I get that but that didn't mean that you just acted like he didn't hurt you and all was ok, it wasn't, and she should have made him work for his apology more (but that's me). I loved Decker, it's a shame that he was another man-ho but I guess all these guys are written that way, but still are all loveable and all alpha. He came thru when needed and did what he needed to do, she better had stayed with him, can't wait til the next story!
rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(Netgalley)...Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions...
Cara is a club princess and a teacher who has hooked up with a member from another MC. Things are going great with the relationship so when Decker comes into the picture, they have this instant connection. Decker is a PI and is now trying to protect Cara since she is now being threatened by her ex’s enemies. I had loved the previous MC books from this author and this book was no different. She also brings suspense, chemistry, twists and turns into her stories. I can’t wait to read more from this series.
I really enjoyed this one. Cara was a strong character and I was happy she stood up for herself. This wasn’t as gritty as some of this authors books but there was enough action to keep me happy and I loved her HEA with Decker. Looking forward to more stories in this series.
Whenever I read one of this authors books, it always makes me feel so happy 😊 I loved this one. It had everything I wanted in a easy Romantic MC Story 😊
Seth Decker loved his life. He just quit his job as a detective to work as a private PI and he never wanted for women attention so life was good. Till he was hired to find a clients sister. He did not expect to meet Cara Ward. From the minute he met her he knew she was different and she was going to change his life. But Cara was in a relationship with someone else…
Cara Ward is a schoolteacher and a Wind Dragon MC Princess. She is also dating the future president of the Wind Dragons. But lately it seems as if Cara and Rhett are not just connecting. She realizes that she will never be first in his life, the MC will always come first. So what must she do. And then she meets Seth Decker, not someone she would have seen herself with, an ex-cop. But she can’t deny the attraction she feels for him either and him not being in an MC means that she will always come first. And when her life is put in danger due to her connections with the MC, maybe having Decker in her life will not just keep her life safe but also her heart…
Definitely on the low angst side of MC Romance. But I enjoyed very minute of it. Got some glimpses of my man Temper and Rake and Arrow, Whoop Whoop. I loved Cara’s character. She was fierce and take no prisoners personality. She also dealt with things head on. Only thing that annoyed me was how she dealt with Rhett, I wanted her to be more angry. Decker was a sexy alpha who even though he didn’t belong to the MC, was just as alpha as the rest of them. All in all loved the story from beginning to end 😊❤❤
I have conflicted emotions on many things. This is definitely more angstier than some of Chantals books but it typical mc fashion, it does have a way of making things right again.
For a first is the series Cara and Deckers story definitely sets the foundation ready to build for here.
I enjoyed Cara and Decker together. I feel like they had great chemistry and neither actually needed the other which created a nice balance. Cara is a badass I'm her own right and a woman who can and will look after herself. Decker is the typical hot alpha with a side on genuinely sweet just for Cara.
Their journey is unpredictable and most definitely rocky but I really did love them for eachother. Their story had all the feels keeping me on the edge of my seat waiting, wondering what was coming next and it surprised me more than a few times.
I didn't like Rhett. That situation peeved me in a way that left a bad taste because honestly he should of suffered more. I'm not normally one for wanting the angst but in this case he needed to do more sucking up.
As a whole it was a great start to the series. I love the combining of the two MC's and what that holds for the future. I adore the strong female leads and the sexy men who aren't afraid of powerful women. The chemistry between the characters, the relatable qualities in the characters. It all felt right. And it has great potential which is exciting for me.
Love Chantal’s MC books! This new series comes off of the last series from this author, and I was excited that while it’s a new series, we still get the characters and stories from the other books. This book focuses on Seth, who is hired by a member of his local MC’s wife to find her half-sister who she knew nothing of her existence until the death of her father. Through his research, Seth finds Cara, who ironically is involved with a different MC in her hometown through her stepfather, and he travels down to deliver the news of her birth father’s death as well as the existence of her sister. When he meets Cara, his original plans are thrown out the window, especially when through the MC Cara’s life is in danger and he feels that he’s the best option to keep her safe. This book had me going back and forth trying to figure everything out, including the outcome, and the guessing kept me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m so excited for the next book in the series! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Ooh, what a start to this series. A series that brings together two of my favourite MCs, The Knights of Fury and the Wind Dragons. When ex police officer turned private investigator Seth Decker is hired to look for Cara Ward he gets more than he bargained for. He gets reunited with his ex partner and his FBI wife (both of whom were his friends when he was in the force), and ends up being welcomed into the Wind Dragons fold with open arms. This leads to him ‘volunteering’ to protect Cara from a gang set on revenge for her ex’s accidental wrongdoing. For being known as such a notorious player with the ladies, Decker really does have a truly wonderful, soft romantic side. I guess he just needed the right woman to bring it out. An enjoyable, addictive and super sexy action packed storyline that I enjoyed throughout. I am so looking forward to finding out what else is in store. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
Seth Decker left the police department disillusioned and questioning the justice system. He's taken a job as a private investigator and his first job is to find a woman's half-sister: Cara Ward.
Cara Ward is the daughter of one of the member of the Wind Dragons, destined to grow up and marry a biker, to become an old lady and have kids that will grow up in the biker life. Is that what she wants? Or does she want something else?
When her world falls apart and she moves in with her bestie, Cara is feels as though she's free for the first time in her life and she's going to enjoy that freedom. And she's going to enjoy that with Decker. That is until her past interferes with her future when a rival MC tries to kidnap her.
I loved this story and can't wait for the next book in the series.
Decker's Dilemma is the first book in Chantal's new spin off series it combines elements of both Knights of Fury and the Wind Dragons MC series.
If you have read some of the author's previous books you will recognise some charcters however it is not necessary to follow this storyline. It took me a while to warm to Decker he was the typical player but slowly as his feelings for Cara grew he began to change and became the possessive alpha I expect from this author. I liked that Cara was not written as some eye candy weak MC princess but was one who knew how to look after herself. I loved the instant chemistry between the main characters they were so hot together. One thing I didn't like was the whole Rhett situation, I don't believe the MC would have let him off with some form of retribution and Cara let him off too easily, I really wanted him to suffer more.
Decker and Cara managed to take me on quite the ride! She’s fresh out of something big, on the verge of maybe having more family in her life, and Decker is the vehicle to drive much of that change. But Cara brings just as much change to his world. After all, for a guy who hasn’t found The One, it sure looks like Cara may just be exactly who he’s been waiting for. They just have to survive the danger that someone’s brought their way first.
I really enjoyed seeing a few of my favorites from this author’s last series, as well as some faces from one of her other MCs. Add to it the twists and questions about who may or may not have the best intentions at heart and I was hooked! So now I want more for Con, Simone, and maybe even Rhett. I mean, has he learned his lesson yet? Maybe. I guess we shall see.
This is an amazing story! I’ve read the two previous MC series so the characters were familiar to me, but I don’t think you have to read the previous stories to enjoy this one. With that being said, I think you should at least read Clover’s and Felix’s story before this one just to get to know them more since they play such a big part in this story. Just my two cents. Having these two MCs meet was perfect. I wondered if the interactions would be forced and they weren’t. The entire story flowed well.
Anyways, these two characters meet and it’s lust at first sight. Too bad Cara isn’t fully available… or is she?!?! Decker has finally found his match and he’s not letting her get away that easily! I was Team Decker the entire book! I sure was rooting for him. Loved these two characters!
Decker’s Dilemma has us combining the world of the Knights of Fury and the Wind Dragon’s. Cara had her life planned and being on the back of her best friend’s bike was what it was supposed to be. However when life doesn’t go to plan and a man you never expected walks into your life can you move on. Decker and Cara have a chemistry that is electric and one that has you captivated by their story. You will be taken on the ride of your life from guilt, anger, angst, drama and passion. These two set the pages on fire and your heart will burst at what Decker will do to keep her safe. An absolutely entertaining love story that is also action packed.
I have have authors do a crossover book between series. Decker‘s dilemma was that book for this author and an introduction to a new series. Decker and Cara have you just rooting for them throughout this whole book. Through all the drama and the ups and downs you just can’t help but pulling for them. I can’t wait for the next in this exciting series!!
This new series starts out strong and pulls me into the dangerous world of the MC. This can be read without reading the Knights of Fury or the Wind Dragons books. If this is your first book with Ms. Fernando, you are in for a treat. Cara is the exalted daughter of the Wind Dragon President. This makes her a princess waiting for her prince to wed her . . . or not.

I know a lot of readers who picked up Decker’s Dilemma have read both the Wind Dragon and Knights of Fury series. I’m not one of those readers, although I have read the Knights of Fury series. Even so, I don’t think you have to have read either or both series to start with this book. I do have to admit that I’ll probably go back and check out the Wind Dragons series at some point though. You know, just to be a totally informed reader. 😉
Decker’s Dilemma is a book about a man who isn’t a part of a MC and a woman who’s trying to distance herself from one. Cara is a strong woman who stayed with a man who put her on the back burner longer than she should have. Her relationship with Rhett is a whole other story in itself and like other readers, I felt like she forgave him for the way he treated her way too easily. The difference between Decker and Rhett was night and day and with him she finally got the respect she deserved.
There was little or no down time and a lot of tension coming from different directions. Cara was coming to terms with distancing herself from the MC she grew up in, finding out she had a sister she knew nothing about and facing a danger that she shouldn’t have had to deal with. Through it all, Decker was there to support and protect her – something neither one of them expected.
This was the first book in a new series that was built off of two previous series, so there was definitely a lot going on. There were times that I found the dialog kind of awkward, but not enough to distract… just enough for me to notice. The next book in the series is Rhett Redeemed. I love it when an author takes a character that I didn’t like and turn them into one I can learn to love. To be honest, she has her work cut out for her with Rhett, but I’m willing to see if she’s up to the task. 😉
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of Decker's Dilemma. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review doe Wicked Reads, so here is my review. Decker is an ex-cop turned P.I. and his first case is to find half-sister, Cara Ward. She is the daughter of a member of an MC and is living with a member of the club. She is not hard to find but he wants to spend time with her, he is drawn to her. Cara is a high school teacher, going to marry Rhett a biker, and live her life as an old lady. She sees that she and Rhett are growing apart. and when things happen that she can not forget, she ends things between them. They are better friends than they are lovers. When things go south because of something Rhett did and Cara is caught in the middle, Decker is there to protect her. With the help of Flexis and Clover, Decker will protect Cara with his life if he has to. This is a new series that combines the Wind Dragons and the Knights of Fury and this is a great start. There were a few things in this story that I wasn't crazy about but I still really enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next one, Rhett Redeemed.
3.75 stars—DECKER’S DILEMMA is the first instalment in Chantal Fernando’s KNIGHTS AND DRAGONS MC romance series-a blending of the author’s KNIGHTS OF FURY and WIND DRAGONS MC series. This is former police officer turned private investigator Seth Decker, and school teacher Cara Ward’s story line. DECKER’S DILEMMA can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the original series is revealed where necessary. Several of the characters cross over from both series. Cara is best friend’s with Clover Black (Fallen Princess/Wind Dragons MC 7).
Told from dual first person perspectives (Cara and Decker) DECKER’S DILEMMA follows former police officer turned PI Seth Decker as he goes in search of Cara Ward, a woman he knows very little about. His latest assignment as a PI finds Decker looking for the a client’s half sister, an assignment with personal connections to the Wind Dragons MC. Seth Decker is the former law enforcement partner of Felix Banks, whose wife Clover Black is a princess with the Wind Dragons MC, and as such Decker will be caught in the middle when everything spirals out of control. Decker witnesses Cara’s current relationship implode, and comes to the rescue of our story line heroine, who will find herself the target of a local gang, vowing vengeance for the shooting by a member of the Wind Dragons MC. What ensues is the quick building romance and relationship between Cara and Decker, and the potential fall-out as the Wind Dragons call in reinforcements from the Knights of Fury when one of their own is threatened, and the attacks become more personal and potentially deadly.
Seth Decker doesn’t do relationships but finds himself considering a future with our story line heroine. Having just caught her long-term boyfriend with someone else, Cara never expected to fall so fast but falling for Decker was easy the longer they spent more time together. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters with several members from both the Knights of Fury and Wind Dragons MC including Clover Black and Felix Banks. We are introduced to Cara’s half-sister Constance Wilder, Decker’s boss and PI boss Nadia, as well as Cara’s ex boyfriend Rhett Madden, the heir apparent to the Wind Dragons MC, and the Forgotten Children aka FC gang.
DECKER’S DILEMMA is a story of betrayal and vengeance, love and friendships. The premise is engaging and dramatic; the romance is seductive and frenzied; the characters are familiar, charismatic and tenacious.

Just because everyone around you tells you that you are meant to be with someone, it does not necessarily mean it’s true. People change and circumstances change. Make sure you’re happy first, otherwise it is hard to keep those you love happy. Love comes in different ways and friends can be loved but they don’t have to be your destiny.
Cara is an MC princess that is living the life she believes she’s supposed to. Everyone around her has always told her that Rhett was the person that she was supposed to be with, so she’s with him, but things have changed and she’s questioning her life and her happiness. When she finally decides to make some changes in her life and move to start fresh, she finds herself in the clutches of an MC enemy that is out to destroy Rhett and the enemy is unaware that Cara is no longer with Rhett, but they really don’t care either.
Decker has questioned his job as being a cop and how things are done. He has decided to become a PI and have the freedom to do the job without all of the bureaucracy and red tape. When he is hired to find a woman that is believed to be a half-sister, he finds a woman that he could finally commit to. However, he has to be professional and then he has a lot of obstacles to overcome to make her his. When this woman finds herself in danger because of who she is and her ex, Decker will do anything to keep her safe and protect her, even if it means sacrificing her ex to do it.
I loved this story and these characters. This was my read of a book by Chantal Fernando, but it will not be my last. I can’t wait for the next book in this series to come out, but I will also be going to purchase the other books in the Wind Dragons MC and the Knights of Fury MC because now I want to know more about those characters. I loved that Decker had to go through an initiation of sorts with the Wind Dragons, but that he was not uncomfortable at all with them. I look forward to more books in Chantal Fernando’s writings and I give this book at 5-star review. I really want a Decker of my own, thanks. He’s sexy, kind, considerate, loyal, and protective.
Oh wow!! In book one in the Knights and Dragons crossover series we finally get Decker’s story. And…would you believe this former law man turned P.I. has his sights on a women attached to a MC? Well jump right in because this book has it all! We have a beautiful love story, MC action and old friends it’s great to see how they’re doing. I’ve been a fan of this author for a good bit now and I was not a bit surprised when her writing took me on a amazing ride to happily ever after’

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Decker’s Dilemma by Chantal Fernando Knights & Dragons MC #1
Once again…a tame, easy to read, almost sweet MC romance without the gritty darker components of typical MC novels. That said, this is really a story of people who are not MC members but instead of a woman that grew up in the club but left to teach and yet is still considered a “princess” of the club as she is the daughter of a member. She ends up with someone also not in a motorcycle club though the two do have interactions with clubs at times in the story.
What I liked: * Seth Decker: ex-cop, a bit of a player, footloose and fancy free, private investigator, has been involved with a case related to the Dragons MC and works with someone married to a member of that club. * Cara Ward: princess of the Knights MC, high school teacher, expected to be with Rhett-MC member, questioning her situation, ready to make some changes early in the story * Clover: best friend of Cara, grew up with Cara in the same MC club, married to Felix, FBI, has a baby girl, married to Felix * Felix: policeman, Seth’s police partner before Seth retired, loving husband and father, good friend * Simone: sister to Seth, dog groomer, potential main character for future book * Constance: half sister to Cara and the reason that Seth and Cara meet * The MC family vibe and strong ties within the club * The friendship between Cara and Clover and their strength * The way the situation that put Cara in danger was ultimately handled * That it was a relatively easy and quick read
What I didn’t like: * Who and What I was meant not to like – Marko and his gang
Note/Comment: If you are looking for a dark gritty MC romance – this is not the book for you. If you are looking for a lighter weight easy to read romance set in the MC world – this book might be for you.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes Would I read more in the series? I think so
Thank you to NetGalley and Carina Adores-Harlequin for the ARC – This is my honest review.
Joining two different MC clubs in two different areas without war is a huge feat but it’s been achieved in this book without fuss and done well. I thoroughly enjoyed this story about Cara and Decker but also all of the other wonderful characters too. I love the secondary characters in this story, especially Clover—her sense of humor is hilarious with one-liners that left me chuckling out loud.
Cara is a strong woman who knows her own mind and thank goodness she does too, I did want to take her aside in the beginning and have a little chat with her about Rhett though. 😄 Nothing against Rhett as a character mind you. Now, Seth Decker is one gorgeous hunk of a man with high standards and values, I love how he stood up for what he believed in his career. Together these two have an instant attraction and although they try to fight it; when you know, you know! But it’s more than burning up the sheets, it goes much deeper.
There are a few mysteries in this book that are intriguing and boy with the drama and action heating up you certainly sit up and take notice of what’s going on! I really enjoyed how unpredictable the who ‘gang’ situation was and I am positive readers will find it as exciting as I did.
Another terrific story by this author and one I have no hesitation in recommending to everyone.
Still reeling from Samantha Wilde’s Unchained, I dove into the first of the knights & Dragons MC series.
Much to my surprise, I already knew part of the characters from the Fast & Fury series. Seth Decker is Nadia’s (from Custom Love) new partner in her private investigation firm.
We already met Decker there, when he was still working in the police force as Felix’ partner.
In this story, he has just started working with Nadia and is working on a case of finding a missing half sister. This turns out to be Cara, Felix’ wife (Clover)’s BFF. What seemed to be a very straight forward case, turns into a few complications when Decker feels attracted to Cara.
Cara’s life has been turned upside down: first she finds her boyfriend with his tongue down someone else’s throat. Then she is followed by a sexy guy, Having grown up as a daughter of the Dragon wind MC members, Cara has always been taught to be careful and independent. So, after she pulled a gun on the sexy guy, he tells her he is a PI, working for her half sister.
Suspicious of this unknown sibling, Cara decides to hire sexy PI Decker to find out why this half sister is looking for her all of a sudden. Decker feels conflicted: not only did he complete his first case, Cara has now hired him to look into con, her half sister. But he also feels attracted to her. Knowing that Cara has just broken up with her high school boyfriend (who is going to be the next wind Dragons MC President), he doesn’t want to be just her rebound. So he tries to keep his distance.
But when Cara’s connections to her ex may threaten her life, Decker can’t keep away. And he will do anything to keep her safe. Full of suspense, romance and sparks flying.
A wonderful start of a new series. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
This was a very easy and light read that took me back to characters I had not seen in a while.
Following Cara, Bailey, and Rake's daughter, we get to see her as an adult living her life with sprinkles of the parent's life (which I loved). Cara is a little lost at the moment, especially with her current romance with best friend Rhett that is not going anywhere. But when meeting Decker she is instantly attracted to the mysterious man looking for her. Cara was what I expected, strong and caring and so passionate (with the right man). I liked her as much as I liked her mother, and I wanted more.
Decker has just started a new job he likes, and he's tasked to find Cara, but he finds much more. A woman he can't stop thinking about and might want to keep him, not only in bed. He reminded me of a lost puppy that you take home and never leaves. I just want to protect him, but he is a badass man who is willing to do anything for Cara, just not let her go.
What I really like was that this book is dual POV, something that I wanted on her Wind Dragons series. So, to have it here just made the story better and more interesting.
What bothered me the most was how Rhett was handled in this book. I felt as if his actions had no real consequence as if Cara didn't care he hurt her. I just wanted a little bit more groveling on his part, an apology or a decent explanation maybe. Not sure I'll be reading his book.
I'm not sure if it's because it has been a while that I read a book by Chantal that I didn't really connect with the writing style, it felt different from what I had previously read from her. But I still enjoy it and would recommend it for sure.
